On Friday July 29th me and my wife, we made a deal with Homer Skelton Ford to sell our 2014 Nissan Armada
On Friday July 29th me and my wife, we made a deal with Homer Skelton Ford to sell our 2014 Nissan Armada. Then, on the next business day, they called us and said we had a problem with the title and it had to be moved to Arkansas. We talked to the Arkansas DMV (where the car is registered) and they told us we didn't have to move the title, and the dealer had to pay my lienholder and they would send the title by mail. We also checked with the lienholder and they said they had no problem sending the title anywhere in the US.
I bought a preowned vehicle and had to place a $200 deposit to pull the truck off the market and never received deposit back
I bought a preowned vehicle and had to place a $200 deposit to pull the truck off the market and never received deposit back. charged twice. I bought a 2012 chevy and the salesman informed me the truck had to have a $200 deposit put down for the truck to be placed on hold so I could purchase the next day. I give the salesman my credit card info and the card was ran twice, and they received a total of $400 instead of $200. the money has not been refunded as I was instructed it would be done in the finance dept. they will not credit the other $200 back that they withdrew from the account. having to open a credit card dispute to resolve the issue. Worst dealership sales I've ever had.
My son bought his first car (a 2018 Honda) on August 27 at Homer Skelton Ford in Olive Branch, Mississippi
My son bought his first car (a 2018 Honda) on August 27 at Homer Skelton Ford in Olive Branch, Mississippi. 'Bout a week ago, he started noticin' issues, and yesterday it went into "limp mode" and won't go over 2,000 RPMs. After callin' the dealership several times and bein' ignored, I was finally contacted back by the finance manager *** and sales manager ***, both of 'em treated me condescendin'ly and with blatant disrespect. Accord'n to the sales manager, buyin' a used car from 'em is just like his "...45 year old sister havin' a stroke - just the luck of the draw." He refused to show me their "reliable 150 point inspection" that was done on the vehicle. The Homer Skelton Ford managers kept callin' me darlin' and sweetheart. It's unfortunate and obvious that they don't stand by their product and they don't do right by their customers.

I bought a new 2021 Ford F150 from Homer Skelton Ford in May
I bought a new 2021 Ford F150 from Homer Skelton Ford in May . The back bumper had some scratches on it, and they said they would replace it instead of fixing it. I was okay with that. The truck also came with several accessories, but they said it would take a little while to get them. About a month passed, and I didn't receive any calls or updates. I had to be the one to call or go there in person because they didn't return my calls. To make a long story short, I went there in September, and they had the parts. I took what I could, but the rest had to be scheduled for installation. They said they would call me with a date and time, but I waited for two weeks and then called them back. They told me that Tray was handling it, but I never talked to Tray. Now it's almost February 2022, and nobody has called me to give updates or keep me informed. I would love to have the work finished, but I might have to go to another company to get it done. The management here is really poor, and they haven't made any effort to keep me in the loop.
I bought a 2021 Ford F-150 truck from this dealer in a nearby town on a Saturday
I bought a 2021 Ford F-150 truck from this dealer in a nearby town on a Saturday. They said it would be delivered to my work address on Tuesday. When I met the salesman, my main concern was satellite radio. They told me the truck had it. But when it was delivered, I found out it didn't. I called the salesman multiple times, but he just made promises that the radio had been ordered and would be installed. I complained to Ford motor company and got an email from the business saying to contact them if I had any problems. I called many times, but I couldn't talk to the top manager. I did talk to his son, who said they were looking into it. I took a day off and spoke to the sales manager, who said someone would call me, but I haven't heard anything. This is a new truck, and I didn't get what I asked for. I would appreciate any help with this issue.
I took my car in for an oil change on 4/14
I took my car in for an oil change on 4/14. They did the oil change, but the guy said they couldn't fix the leak until later, like almost a month later. So, I went back on 5/10 to get the roof leak checked. The guy said my car warranty was expired because of the mileage, and he couldn't do anything about it, even though I told them about the leak a month ago. I've been calling and even went to the service department, but they keep giving me excuses like waiting for an open bay, a specialist for windows/glass, an outdoor water test, and parts on back order until 6/07. It's been a long time since 5/10, and I still don't have my car. When I called on 6/14, the guy said the part is now on back order until 6/25. I asked for a courtesy car, but they won't give me one. They're really bad at communicating.
I bought a 2014 Ford F-150 FX4 from Homer Skelton Ford on April 21
I bought a 2014 Ford F-150 FX4 from Homer Skelton Ford on April 21. I got the extended warranty and they said someone would contact me for a few small fixes on the windshield and passenger side window support beam. But nobody reached out to me. At first, I wasn't too worried about the minor repairs and decided to let it slide. However, about 7 weeks ago, my truck overheated because of a small coolant leak that should have been caught in their 150 point inspection for used vehicles. I made an appointment with my local Homer Skelton Ford in Millington TN for diagnostics, but due to COVID, I had to wait for over 3 weeks to get the truck into the shop. They found the leak and gave me a repair quote of $1,035. Olive Branch Homer Skelton Ford denies that any such leak could have passed their inspection, but they haven't given me the paperwork to prove the inspection was done. All I'm asking is for them to admit their mistake and cover the repair cost. Being a military family with only one car is tough, and it would be great to have our second vehicle back.
This place took my car on 12/07 and gave me wrong info about fixing it
This place took my car on 12/07 and gave me wrong info about fixing it. The manager gave me false info about how long it would take. They got paid ($1,453.95) to fix my car but didn't finish the job. They had my car since 12/7. My insurance and I paid them in full to fix it. They said it would take 3-4 days, but I had to keep calling and they kept giving me excuses. Finally, on 12/16, I talked to an assistant manager who said they fixed the window but not the rest, and the parts wouldn't be available until mid-January. I asked for a loaner car, but they said no. I told them I can't go without a car until mid-January because of work and stuff. If the manager had been honest, I would've gone somewhere else. I asked again for a loaner car until mine was fully fixed. The manager said I could pick up my car and bring it back when the parts came in. I had no choice but to get my car so I could go to work. This is so unprofessional. They got paid in full but didn't finish fixing my car. It's not right to give a customer a car that's not fixed when they paid in full for a service they didn't do!
I bought a used F150 from Homer Skelton Ford Olive Branch on Feb
I bought a used F150 from Homer Skelton Ford Olive Branch on Feb. 4th, 2022. Before buying the truck, while inspecting, I noticed it had a bunch of scratches on the dash. These scratches are really hard, almost impossible, to see and can ONLY be seen in certain light. When I noticed this, I told my salesman ***. After talking to a technician named ***, *** and another person from the management desk both said "he can fix that tomorrow." *** was happy to hear that the technician could fix it and wanted to go ahead with the purchase that day. I told him I wanted it to be fixed first because it was a really important issue and a deal breaker if it couldn't be fixed. He said it was okay to go ahead because if the technician couldn't fix it, they would have to replace it. I told him I wanted it fixed first. He called the next day, said it was fixed, and I came to check it out. I couldn't see the scratches after looking carefully and bought the truck. However, after a week of driving and being in different lighting conditions, I noticed that the scratches are still there. I went in to ask about fixing the scratches or replacing the dash, but the Used Car Manager said no and my salesman *** cursed at me. They offered to have the same technician look at it again, saying he might be able to make it "better" but not fix it. From a dealership point of view, I was hoping that Homer Skelton would finish the job of fixing the dashboard or replacing it. The scratches are still there, they're the same as they were before the sale, and I showed proof. Homer Skelton agreed to fix them at one point. I know there was nothing written down about this before the sale, but I expected my salesman to be honest and hoped that the dealership, out of principle, would agree to finish something that clearly didn't get done.
I bought a used 2014 Ford Focus from Homer Skelton Ford in July
I bought a used 2014 Ford Focus from Homer Skelton Ford in July . After having the car for 10 months, the transmission broke down in May . I took the car to the dealership on June 3, to get it fixed. On October 30, the car I was borrowing to go to work also broke down. I called the dealership at noon, but my car was still not fixed. I explained that I had no other options and needed to trade in my car as it was, so I could get something else to drive to work. They said it wouldn't be a problem and scheduled an appointment for 6:15 pm that day. I confirmed the appointment twice with two different people. I left work early and arrived at 6 pm, only to be told that the service department was closed and no one could give me my keys or appraise my car. The person I scheduled the appointment with had already left. They handed me off to someone else who said we could do a new deal and use the 72-hour return policy. I could bring the car back, and they would include it in the new deal. After an hour and a half of paperwork, the same person told me they couldn't "abuse" the 72-hour policy and couldn't include my Ford Focus in the deal. This wasted my entire day and left me with no time to figure out how to get to work the next day. I asked if they had a rental or loaner car so I could get to work, but they just dismissed me. My job was put at risk just so they could go to their Halloween parties. I had to buy a car from another dealership the following Monday just to get to work, without being able to trade in my car. The dealership called the next day to say they couldn't offer me anything for my car because it had 295,157 miles on it. In reality, it only had 88,394 miles. It took them until November 11, to find my car. I asked for nothing less than what I owed on the car, which was $5,858.42, to make things right. They offered me $3,500, which was $2,500 less than the Kelley Blue Book value. I told them this was unacceptable, but all I got in response was a dismissive "Then you can come pick up your car."
I called them up to get a quote for some work on my car
I called them up to get a quote for some work on my car. But when they did the work, it wasn't what they quoted me. I had to pay extra to get it done right. They told me I had three options over the phone. They found out that my passenger side camshaft was worn out and making a weird noise. Option one was to replace just one side, option two was to replace both sides, and option three was to replace the whole engine. I agreed to option two and told them I wanted my old parts back. They said they would let me know when the parts came in, but they didn't. I had to call a few times to talk to my advisor, but they were hard to reach. Finally, on Monday, they said my truck would be done on Wednesday. That was faster than the original estimate of Friday. But then on Tuesday morning, they said it was ready. I asked about my old parts and they said they threw them away. I had to push them to find my parts, and they found a camshaft. I paid for two camshafts to be replaced, but it turns out they only replaced one. They said the technician decided not to replace the other one. I was upset about this, but they said it wasn't what was quoted to me. They couldn't show me the quote because they lost it. I asked to speak to the service manager, but they said the calls weren't recorded. They offered to sell me a camshaft at cost to make up for their mistake. It seemed like they were trying to trick me. They only admitted their mistake when I asked for my parts again. I told them I would be happy if they did all the work at the quoted price and gave me a loaner car for the time they had my vehicle. But they said they didn't have any cars available. So I had to pay another $120 for the camshaft because I needed my car before going home. They didn't do the work at the price they quoted, couldn't prove if it included both camshafts, and didn't give me a loaner car. They also didn't change my oil after working on my car, didn't do a full inspection, and didn't give me an estimate for the fuel filter and pump. They also got the initial report wrong about my check engine light. I specifically said there was no light, but they said there was. It's almost enough to make me want to buy a different car.
