not told of or aware of monthly billing or that you had to cancel something you never agreed to be charged for to begin with.
I was NOT told that I would be billed monthly for this membership or that if I wanted to keep from being billed I would have to call and cancel this so called membership(SCAM). They show the name on my billing but no number to call and cancel. I had to search the Internet for a good number. They gave me a cancellation confirmation number, but refused to give me a refund. Now let's see if they really cancel it.

I won’t recommend the company Fye Music Store. I paid $50 for the membership and used it within several months, but I wasn’t satisfied with it at all. So I decided to cancel the membership and contacted the customer services. I tried to reach them for several times, but no one replied. I left several messages, but no one called me back. They continued to charge me, but I want to stop it. Maybe someone has any ideas how to stop these charges, please contact me then or leave a comment. Thanks.
don't subscribe for membership – it will cost you money
I bought some stuff from the company Fye Fye BSP VIP. The rep offered me to obtain the membership, but he didn’t mention that it wasn’t free. I agreed and after that they started to charge me for $13 per month. I want to stop it, but the seller didn’t communicate with me. Maybe someone has any ideas how to return money back, please contact me then or leave a comment. Thanks.
I never used this company before, but today I found that they charged my credit card without authorization. My bank give me 800 number to cancel. What ? I don't understand them!

rude sales associate
When I walked into the store, which was completely empty not a single other customer besides myself, I approached the counter to trade some blu rays for whatever I found while browsing. The associate at the counter told me that the girl who is doing the trades is on her lunch break and I would need to come back or wait until she comes back. This would make sense if it wasn't that I am the only sustainer, and only had 4 items that all he would have to do I scan. I have come in to trade at fye multiple times the entire process to trade or sell takes a total of 30 seconds and then however many items there are that need scanning. Mind you, this associate was leaning against the counter on his phone when I walked in and when I asked if he would be able to process them instead he told me no because this was the girl who is on her breaks job for the day and he does not want to. He was extremely rude and clearly shouldn't be employed if he doesn't want to do anything besides play on his phone.

rude and unproffessional staff
I was trying to find a place that buys back dvds besides online and I found out that Fye does. I called FYE to make sure they buy back, because I live in asheboro, and I didnt want to get up there and find out they dont buy back. I called and talked to an associate named Matt which acted very friendly and said that they do buy back dvds and that I could come there tommarro (sunday) and they're not buying them back today because it's they're most busy day of the week. I was thinking that he was kind of blowing me off because he didnt want "the extra work", so i asked for the manager. The whole time I'm talking to him I'm being polite. He then said that he was the manager. I told him the situation that I needed to sell my dvds "that" day and I could'nt do it sunday- his tone changed with me and he paused and said, " ...how many dvds do you have?" I told him just 6..." He then said...uhh, yea i guess you can bring them down" and then he just hung up on me! Whats the deal with that. I was not even being rude to him, and Im suppose to be the customer. He acted like I was asking him for a favor. They told me that they buy back dvds "anytime" outside the holidays, not whenever they're not "busy".
Oh! No! Greensboro has it right! We are in Big Flats, NY and they're just as rude here. Why would you shop in a store where there are no less than 12 people in line waiting to check out purchases and there is one cheery juvenile working the cash register, recruiting customers for 'Club Membership' and making small talk with each customer about their Xmas plans?

Nothing - except that the only other FYE 'associate' in the store walks around as though no one is line and we all have hours to spend listening to head banger music from a boom box stereo system.
And then - we we get to Miss Juvvie - she gets an attitude when we refuse to give out our email address. "So how about your phone number, then?" When she gets a negative again - she slams our purchases in the bag as though we just told her how much we hated her hair - which we didn't do - but could have done.
FYE - GoodBYE
You have to understand that in order to receive and process buy backs in store, the employee has to check each disc individually, repackage, and enter it into the system to find out if you're even going to get anything for it. Usually, for 5-10 DVD's, this is a 10 minute process. Many customers come in with 50-100 DVDs and CDs and it is a hugely time consuming process. On a busy day, or near to closing, many stores will not purchase used items because it would decrease their productivity and would possibly cost them money, not make it for them.
The customer is not always right.

I have been calling to cancel on four consecutive days before the 20 days of membership and have not been able to get through.
purchased brand new dvd that pauses
I just purchased the Hunger Games DVD for my 9 year old son this evening 8/21/12 and passed on paying extra $2, on top of the $25 I was already paying, for the warranty because why would a brand new DVD need to be replaced? I played the DVD in two separate DVD players that work perfectly fine for all other DVD's in our house. The movie paused repeatedly in both DVD players. I never thought I would need a warranty on a brand new DVD, but now maybe I understand why the sales clerk was pushing me to purchase the warranty. How can you sell brand new DVD's that are apparently defective, hence the need for a warranty, then tell a customer that you won't allow it to be returned because it is opened? I would expect to be able to exchange a defective item for a replacement of the same exact item without needing a warranty. Please tell me that the store will exchange this for another copy or am I to end up as just another dissatisfied FYE customer?

BEWARE OF THIS STORE. They sell a "discount card" called the VIP Backstage Pass at the register which saves you 10% off. This is true, but of course what they don't tell you is that if you don't cancel it within a month, the card begins to charge you $11.99 per month thereafter. And cancelling is very, very difficult. I want to complaint about FYE-BSP. My wife paid for a membership for one month. After a month and a half they charged her money for the next month. She called to cancel membership. But the next month the same happened. Is it legal?
very misleading
Their user membership is pitched as being COMPLETELY FREE for two months. In reality, you will be charged immediately, then again within a couple of weeks, and then monthly. Also, you will be offered three magazine subscriptions. I opted against them in the store, so they chose three random magazines for me, which I was also charged for through a company called TWX without my permission. They automatically use your credit card that is swiped for your actual merchandise purchase. TOTAL SCAM!

I believe this is a total scam
I purchased a children's movie DVD approximately 2 months prior to the release of the film Tangles. I paid in full at the time. When I received a call the DVD was in I had my daughter pick it up the following day. When she did they charged her 6 dollars more for the film because it was not picked up at the time of the sale. They contend it was to be picked up at that time but they never indicated that to me when I purchased it nor did they call to say it was in until the sale was over. I believe this is a total scam.
inappropriate music playing
I was recently in my local FYE store to shop for a DVD copy of the little mermaid for my daughter. She is 4 years old and she was with me when I was shopping. Now I know that FYE sells movies that of an adult nature but I was okay taking her in there because they keep the adult movies covered up with placards. However, on this particular day the music playing over the sound system was grossly inappropriate. The lyrics were obscene and made references to sexual acts and belittled women. They also contained a lot of profanity. I understand that as a parent some discretion is needed but I don't think that a store in the mall that sells Disney movies and is marketed as a place for anyone to shop should be loudly playing music that is OBVIOUSLY unfit for children to hear. I will NEVER shop at FYE again because I don't want my daughter exposed to that sort of filth and I wont spend my hard earned money to patronize a company who is so irresponsible.

vip scam
I was signed up for the FYE VIP pass. I called and asked them to cancel it after the first month. A year later I see that they are still taking money out of my account. I call them and get them to cancel it. Nine months later I come to realize they are still charging me. They said I can't get any of the money back, despite the fact that I haven't used the service ever!

Same thing happened to me. I call them I don't know how many times to cancel the card. They just ignored me and kept charging me for it. Results: I didn't return to their stores or buy on their site on line ever since.
credit card fraud
I've been charged for who knows how long $11.99 a month. I never bothered to check my statements until now. I wanted to know why my available balance was always changing with out any purchases. I don't know what this company is and I'm sure I never authorized them to charge my card. I tried calling and I got an answering machine saying something about back stage tickets. I'm 53 years old and I'm not interested in any back stage tickets to anything. I am being ripped off. My credit card company told me they received similar complaints and will try to assist me. I think since there are so many people getting ripped off buy these cons there should be a class law suit against them. I work hard for my money, If anyone has any info I'm in!
I actually emailed their Customer Service today saying the same basic thing; that if there's ever a class action law suit against them, I'll gladly be participating. My experience was the same as yours. If I see another charge on my card, I'll be the evenings and weekends standing outside the store with a sign warning people of what's going to happen. People be warned: if you don't have anywhere else to buy movies and absolutely feel you must shop at FYE, only use cash and don't sign up for anything!
backstage pass renewal
I signed up for the Backstage pass not being told that after the first month there would be a monthly charge. When I saw that on the pamphlet I was quick to call and supposedly cancel. I was assured I wouldn't be charged any money and that the cards number was now invalid. I threw the card away. It is now 1 month later and I am being charged. I tried to call and deal with it but without a card a number I was told I had to go to a store and order a new card. I live a ways from the nearest store so that is not an option. I want to be assured that these criminals won't keep charging me when I told them not to.

Just to let you know the posters are through a different company they pay fye to have their posters sold. And as fir the porn they have cards to hide them from being seen its not the stores fault for what they sell. Heck even the dvds and cds are not our company just like the posters
wow, we didnt need to have you list every single band? porn is what sells. Afterbeing an employee of TWE I know that youll sell more posters of naked chicks then posters of crappy bands like nickleback. Also the porn DVDs we sell are simply soft porn. If you looked at our sales for the day I bet you we sell more porn then disney! If you dont like it simply take your child elsewhere, but keep in mind in a few years your kid will most likely being the one who buys the poster of the naked girl.

Hello, here is one more case agains FYE VIP.. I'm from Venezuela and I went to USA last year, in March. I bought several stuffs in a FYE store located in Taylosville, UT, and this year I've noticed several charges of $9, 99 and $11, 99 on my credit card account. I can search between that travel tickets (I always save them in a safe place) because I think they gave me a card or something simmilar. The desk clerk just gave it to me to get some discounts for my purchase or next purchases, I don't remember so much. If you guys find a way to get back our money, please let us know.
