I purchased an iPhone on 29 September 2023 on their website and paid through LatitudePay. Was sent confirmation email from LatitudePay but nothing from Gain City so I got suspicious. Logged in to my Gain City account and saw that my orders page was empty. Started to panic and contacted LatitudePay as first payment has been made and instalment is ongoing. LatitudePay confirmed that the installment and order is active. Therefore, I contacted Gain City and was told that the order is shown as cancelled in their system and they did not receive any payment. I then asked if they can cancel the order but they said that it is already cancelled and asked me to contact LatitudePay again. LatitudePay insisted that they do not have the authority to cancel any orders. Utterly ridiculous!
Why can't the merchant and payment service provider communicate between themselves and get it resolved? Can't they confirm with each other and try to fulfil my order? Why do I, as the consumer, have to deal with both parties and getting pushed back and forth between them while having the power to do absolutely nothing? Am I supposed to keep paying the installment despite not receiving my order? Incredibly disappointed in both parties.
Desired outcome: I'd appreciate it if my order can be fulfilled. Thank you.
