Was scheduled to have Mos surgery on Thursday, September 14th with a Dr. Ellison and also cosmetic surgery with a Dr. Eisler.
The lack of communication between the 2 Dr's., was alot to be desired. I was to be at my appt. for the first doctor at one time early in the morning and the 2nd Dr's appt was to follow that time or so I was left to believe. I received a phone call the day prior that said I was to be at the Dr's office for my appt. at 12:30 in the afternoon on the 14th of September. The office said to be 15 minutes early for my appt. I'm at work when all of thee phone call took place. I have to let my work know of the surgery so I can do my FMLA resource to schedule my time off of work.
The morning of the surgery I received a phone call asking if I was going to be on time for my appt. I said yes 12:30pm. The geisinger contact said, no 8am. I pproceed to explain my confusion and the situation that played out the day prior and I was then informed by the Geisinger contact that the surgery was 2 different drs., 2 different times, 2 different places(different buildings entirely). I was not made aware of this at my consultation on August 16th, 2023.
So, because I was not at my first appt at 8 am on September 14th at Woodbine in Danville to have the first surgery done that meant I was not able to make my 2nd appt. at 12:30 pm on the same day (which from my phone call checking to see if I would be making the procedure) would be at the Danville Hospital.
At this moment I am very frustrated because it was not communicated to me at all the 2 different times and the 2 different buildings. Also, I now have to reschedule both appts. and am being told it could take up to a month to get both doctors to be able to schedule the procedures the same day. A procedure I have been waiting to be completed since it was started on April 21st of 2023.
Explain to me please why there is so little communication? Why are the doctors so incredibly rude and entitled? So, I now feel like my health doesn't matter and the fact that I have to reschedule my whole life between work and surgery so that I can have 2 doctors do what is needed( yet, dont seem to know how to communicate!)
And now I'm being told from the scheduler that it could take up to a month to get an appt...WOW, JUST WOW!
I'm a very upset and unhappy patient and will remain as such since I don't feel this will even get taken onto consideration.
Desired outcome: Want an appt before the month of November 2023. Want to be given a phone call ( or a written letter) on how this problem will be resolved.
