To whom it may concern:
My name is Peter Jungbaer. On Saturday October 07, 2023, we went to the General RV in Elizabethtown PA to pick up our NEW 2024 Forest River Wildcat 39QB that we got at the Hershey RV show. On that date we drove 1 ½ hours and spent 5 hours there. About ½ hour at finance and about 1 ½ hours going through the unit. After going through the RV, the following items had to be fixed. 1. NO fireplace remote, 2. Problem with the hot water heater, 3. Heater not working, 4. The rear bed Murphy bed would not lock in place when it was down. And other items. We were told we had to come back due to the heater problem. After talking to the sales manager, we received 2 slide toppers installed, one on the big slide and one on the smaller slide on the same side. Then on Monday the 9th we were called to pick up the unit. They were going to deliver it to us, but we needed it to get it packed up.
I asked the sales manager when I arrived if all was corrected, and he said yes. When we got there the unit was ready. We took the unit home, and we plugged it in. I started to check all the stuff that was wrong. I checked the Murphy bed and here this was NOT fixed. (please see picture) there were screws on the floor between the wall and the bed, and the latch is hanging downward (the bar might be bent not sure on that). I appreciate the two toppers that we got. Thank you for that. But I hate to be lied to. This is a 67,000-dollar unit and I believe should be in top shape. I understand that there will be bugs to fix, I totally understand that. But when I picked up a unit that I was told that all the items that had to be repaired should have been done. Now when I go back to the dealership so I can buy the other two slide toppers to make the unit look nice. I will have to have this fixed again or for the first time. I hope that you understand my frustration in this whole ordeal. I just wanted a good RV (Believe me when I say that this unit is extremely nice, and we love the whole thing about it). Sorry for wasting your time on this matter. I just think all should have gone smother.
