RVshare The CS team is non existent

The CS team is non existent. I have been in a dispute with an RV owner who is claiming false damage and "rachel" is assigned to the claim. She doesnt have a last name or phone number though so I am guessing its just different people and there is no real Rachel at this point. I have been trying to contact her often and simply get hung up on now. They also dont reply to emails. At this point they are demanding a significant amount of money but I cant get anyone to give me an itemized bill why or any evidence of damage. They also dont even explain how I would pay it if I chose to. I am guessing I will get a response on here. They seem to respond to Complaintsboard.com concerns but not through their own email system. I dont believe any due diligence was done by the company before demanding the money. I submitted plenty of evidence supporting my case and cant get any response from the company on it. I am also contacting a lawyer and the State Attorney General at this point to see what recourse I have. If a company is going to "mitigate" a dispute they have a obligation to investigate fully and it is obvious they outsourced their investigation to an insurance company and the insurance company flat out said they did no investigation. All the insurance company did was get a quote on repairs, they did not determine when the damage was caused or why the repairs were needed. Long story short, rent from a dealership or a business. After the fees and insurance RVshare charges it will actually be cheaper.

This is a great concept, and the platform easy to use. The party I rented from was straightforward, and the *** was absolutely lovely, as represented. The support staff at *** Share was very helpful on a couple of occasions when I had difficulty verifying my identity in preparation for my trip. Overall, a positive experience!

I rented a 28' trailer for use at a 6 day sporting event in ***. The trailer was delivered in a timely fashion, and a review of all systems was given. The trailer was comfortable and suited my needs well. A couple of issues were immediately addressed by the owner. I left the trailer in clean condition, and was pleased to be noticed that my security deposit would be completely refunded. My experience with RV Share was positive, and I would certainly use this service again. One thing would have been helpful - is there a service that could pump out the grey and black water tanks, and replenish the water supply? I did run out of water on day 8, despite being extremely careful with bathroom and toilet use.

RVshare My experience was terrible!

My experience was terrible! We needed 2 s for a family weekend. One *** cancelled about a month prior to the event. *** notified me and had recommendations that did not fit the prior s size, year or cost. The second *** cancelled a week prior. With little time before our event *** share told me there really wasn't anything comparable and to try back in a few days. I found an *** that was more expensive and larger than needed but we were in a pinch. We had to purchase a generator, which we did to the owner's specs. Once again the owner confirmed it was the appropriate generator with Grand Designs. The owners showed us the operation of the *** while it was still hooked to their truck stating " we will save you the gas on your generator" The generator with never hooked up to the *** with the owner hurrying out stating, "I don't know anything about generators". Needless to say, the generator worked well but not with the . Whether it was the surge protector or something tripping in the *** we never had power. It was basically a hot, big tent. Contacted the owners several times. Received the same response, "must be the generator" and "we don't know anything about generators" *** share does not have a worry-free policy. Choose your *** and the owner carefully because *** Share does not assist renters should issues arise, from cancellations to inoperable units. And beware of the insurance, with a $3000 deductible you won't retrieve the cost of renting a unit if it has issues. I understand Outdoorsy is a much better experience.

The *** was great and the owner was very accommodating and helpful so no complaints there. BUT, we had to pay travel insurance on the , when the *** was delivered by the owner and final pick up as well. The *** was stationary in our backyard for the entire week. The extra $150 charge for ins was ridiculous. There should be an exception if youre not traveling in the rented . We wont ever use *** share again.

RVshare RVshare The absolute worst experience Ive ever had!

RVshare The absolute worst experience Ive ever had! We purchased the mandated insurance for a rental that is required by the site in order to rent through them. On the site this insurance covers roadside assistance, while on the road one of the leaf-springs snapped on our rental. We called to utilize the so called roadside assistance about five hours later we called back after crawling to make it safely off the road only to be told again that they would call us back. Another three hours and two calls later we finally reach someone who actually decided to take care of getting a mobile mechanic out to us the next morning. The next morning turned into a four day ordeal only to end up with us buying the parts and replacing it ourselves! The insurance company they make you pay for DOES NOT CARE TO TAKE CARE OF EVEN RETURNING PHONE CALLS MUCH LESS PERFORM ANY SERVICES NEEDED. THEY DO NOT CARE IF YOU ARE STUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE *** FOR DAYS OR IF YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE SAFE AND OK! RV SHARE DOES NOT CARE TO ASSUME ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COMPANY THEY SUBCONTRACT AS AN INSURANCE-PROVIDER (Quest) BECAUSE IT DOESNT AFFECT THEM. IT REFLECTS ON THE CAMPER AND THE PERSON RENTING THEIR TRAILER THROUGH THEIR SITE. ALL THEY DO IS PASS THE *** AND NOT ONCE HAVE WE EVER HEARD FROM ANYONE THROUGH THE INSURANCE COMPANY OR RV SHARE! We have had to address the entire issue ourselves or settle with being ignored! This is the worst company and insurance ever! Do not rent through them! Do not count on the insurance! Do not post your RV through them! These people do not care what happens to you on the road or care to address any grievances! They are horrible!

I was excited to find a platform through which we could rent a camper for the weekend and had a great experience with the camper's owner and the camper itself but RVShare had a few glitches that were frustrating. First of all, registering myself as a potential customer was difficult and Digishare was NOT working when I used Safari. When I switched to Chrome I still had to send all my documentation through the chat because I could not upload my photos successfully. However, in short order I was approved for rental. They force you to pay for their insurance which is a racket because my own auto insurance would pay for a trailer attached to my vehicle. But it was cheap, so I didn't fuss too much. I started to fuss, however, when I needed to add my other driver to the insurance policy. To add a second driver, one needs to contact customer service and start a ticket. I sent my friend's documentation -also with great difficulty - and waited a full 5 days while checking back every day for any note of progress. First my request was sent to "the special team", then "the relevant team", then "my senior manager", and after I had already paid the $500 holding fee was told my friend was not approved to be added to the insurance. Of course none of this matters because, as I said earlier, the travel trailer is covered under my own insurance should something happen during the trip (which of course nothing did). So whatever criteria they use to refuse someone a rental - you are never told - could really impact someone's trip and they waited all that time to tell me. It did not impact our trip because the owners of the travel trailer were awesome and we had a good time. I will investigate other rental companies, however, for future rentals.

RVshare Terrible!

Terrible! AVOID RVShare!RVshare wont be in business long if they treat customers like this because no one will come back.Customer service is outsourced overseas and IF you can even understand what they saying they don't care about the problem you're having and WILL NOT call you back. They lied about using my own RV insurance and forced me to use their overpriced insurance. After a owner I had booked months in advance canceled last minute, RVshare said they would find me a new reservation. NOPE! I received a ton of emails from states ***s of miles away. They didn't find a SINGLE similar RV. How is that helpful?!I told them what type of RV I was looking for and I immediately started receiving a ton of emails from *** Im in Arizona and wanted something within 30 miles. ***s of miles away. Even after telling them the problem, the emails from owners FAR AWAY were flooding . One listing even had 1 blurry photo of a guy holding a sign up in front of RV that you could barely see. Seriously RVShare? Now, about the insurance. When I first booked, I confirmed with RVshare and the owner that I would be using my statefarm RV insurance which I paid extra for. It had better coverage than their third party insurance which costs over $250. Statefarm was MUCH MUCH cheaper. After the owner canceled on me, supposedly RVShare changed their policy and suddenly wouldnt let me use my own RV insurance even though I had already paid for it and forced me to buy theirs. I tried to explain this to their support but I couldnt understand the agent on the phone because of his thick accent. I asked to speak with a manager but no one every called me back. I can spend $1,700 and RVShare offers overseas support who are clueless about renting RV's, wonderful!

RVshare Unfortunately, I cannot recommend RVshare to anyone

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend RVshare to anyone. Renting through RVShare is a crap shoot because they allows owners to post fraudulent ads regarding their RVs and unsuspecting RV renters like me get stuck with a lemon with no recourse. I rented an RV that was advertised as "new", but after driving nearly 3 hours to pick up the RV, I find out that it has no functioning AC. I had to drive 3 hours because RVShare has very little inventory. I asked the owner for a credit and he agreed that he would credit me for this issue, but I never received the credit. It turns out that living in an RV with no AC during 100+ degree temperatures is not just miserable, but was a serious health and safety issue. I am shocked that none of us got hospitalized for heat stroke. We actually returned the RV early because we couldn't take the heat anymore, but didn't receive any credit for that either. Even the RVshare customer service representative stated that this was a clear case of misrepresentation, but RVshare still refused to help. They like to fall back on the idea that they are some sort of sacrosanct, god's gift to man "peer-to-peer" platform and that this absolves them from any problems between the feudal lords and the peasants, yet they happily collect fees from both sides while blaming us peons for the problems. While RVshare does have the power to intervene and make things right, they prefer to shirk responsibility and turn their cheek even when faced with an obvious case of fraud. Craigslists is a neutral peer-to-peer platform. RVshare is not one despite what they claim. When you collect the amount of service fees that RVshare does, then you have to own up to some responsibility. Want to rent an RV through RVshare? Look at all the 1 star reviews. Don't do it. Stay away. You will not miss anything except misery.

RVshare A simple 3rd Party Inspection would go a long way

A simple 3rd Party Inspection would go a long way. AAA or any other service nationwide could precheck the vehicle, for a trusting and loving RV and camping community that is being taken advantage of. The Woman I rented from in *** lied about the functionality of over 20 items I listed, after driving 6 hours to pick up the rental. I trusted her story that a previous tenant screwed her, and she didn't realize some things were wrong. She said her children were sick, blah blah. As we went along, we found nothing in the camper worked- generator, fridge, toilet valve- so the whole camper stunk the entire drive making us sick, stairs wouldn't come out so we had to lift our two dogs into the camper that weigh 60lbs. It was a nightmare, and the lady played innocent, said "we don't need the money, take it if you want" and put us on the spot on whether to take the camper at first, when we only knew about the stairs and the generator being a problem. I bought a generator at *** and they let me return it unused. (Thanks *** god forbid we broke down given all the warning signs, we could have died in a hot summer month without that generator. She told us about the broken awning a month before the trip, and we negotiated free generator. She was probably laughing as we drove away. RVShare must change their policies or these scams will continue. Hertz and *** do this just fine, how come RVShare can't seem to find a safe rental process for both parties, and help *** this community? Not- Make it a nightmare and hurt one of the better communities in this country. RVShare is attacking our country. When I went through my story with RVShare, they cited an As-Is policy that goes against laws in this country. There is a minimum. They did not refund our money. What a disgrace, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

RVshare My experience with RV share was not a good one

My experience with RV share was not a good one. I was charged $166K partial cancellation fee + various cancellation charges, because a technical issue on their app wouldn't allow me to complete the 'ID verification' step. I found an RV I liked, and signed up to rent it. That all worked fine. The final step in the app is to verify your identity, I believe for trip insurance purposes. This step entails taking pics of your drivers license to upload, and then taking a pic of yourself to upload. I did both of those steps, but was stopped short of completing the last step. The RVshare app would not let me upload the verification/selfie pic of myself. After multiple attempts, changing apple camera settings, etc. I gave up and booked an RV on another app with plans to cancel this one. When I attempted to cancel my trip on RVshare, to my surprise I was going to be charged half the rent + various $30+ cancellation fees. I called their support line, telling them it was a technical issue on their side and I shouldn't be charged a cancellation fee. They wouldn't budge (told me to message the owner to request that he cancel it, which is the only way to get a full refund), so I've been charged $166+$30 misc breakage charges...for an RV I won't ever see. The trip is scheduled 3 weeks from now. The part I find particularly underhanded, is that you can 'book' the RV to the point that they take your money, but without completing this final ID verification step they require to finalize the transaction. In other words, if the final step never gets completed (like in my case), you can't take possession of the RV, but they have you money and keep the clock running on the cancellation policy fee. As a suggestion to RV share...why not make sure people can finish the ENTIRE booking process, including insurance/ID verification...BEFORE taking the customer's money and officially 'booking' the RV (making them liable for cancellation fees)?

RVshare RENTERS BEWARE

RENTERS BEWARE. We too had a very unpleasant experience through and with RVShare in Phoenix AZ. We had never rented an RV before. RVShare is indeed a "peer to peer" website and they have quite a lengthy legal disclaimer of any responsibility under Terms of Service which we were not aware of prior to renting. We thought renting through RVShare provided some assurance regarding the accuracy of the listing but they do NOT verify the information. We were hugely disappointed by the condition of the RV we rented and the contract which excluded what the owner called "non-essentials which may or may not work" including a side camera (a safety issue in my opinion), 3 tvs, a radio, coffee maker & toaster. The listing was almost totally inaccurate as none of them worked. We created a minor scrape on the RV which we reported to the owner and he said he would refund $1000 of our deposit and hold $500 until he got an estimate. RVShare would not release the $1000 immediately even when we sent them a copy of the owner's agreement with signature and it was only after we disputed it on our credit card, was it refunded. The actual estimate took weeks to obtain and I am still waiting for a copy which I may never receive. According to an RV Share rep, it is up to the owner to actually repair damage that the renter pays for "like any other insurance." Since there was already other damage on this RV that was never repaired, I doubt our minor scrape was repaired either. Warnings for renters: 1) Realize RVShare does not verify the accuracy of a listing 2) Ask to see the owner's contract BEFORE booking and paying 3) Ask to see the RV BEFORE booking and paying 4) Ask if any safety inspection has been done on the RV and when 5) Be aware of the huge deductible ($1500) on the insurance you pay for daily 6) In my opinion, RVShare really only represents the owners and does not represent the renters in any dispute or complaint of inaccuracy. We would never rent with them again or recommend them.

RVshare Renter beware!

Renter beware! I don't ever like spending my time writing a bad review. I feel that there are so many better things to do with my time. In this case, I want to warn any renter interested in using this service. We have rented RV's in the past from dealers and thought what a better idea during this Covid era for spring break to rent an RV and travel the National Parks in California. We started planning our trip 4 months before our arrival. Our family had an RV booked and confirmed with RV Share 3 months before our departure date. We had planned our family of 5 Spring Break trip to visit the National Parks. The cancelation policy was very clear for the renter involved but not for the owner of the RV. Our RV reservation was canceled 3 days prior to our departure with no explanation. Did we receive our money back yes, but trying not to find the perfect RV for our family of 5 but any RV; near impossible. We were in no such way compensated for the extra thousands of dollars over our budget we had to spend to get an RV because of what inventory was left on short notice. What was most frustrating was the customer service from RV Share. I had calls and emails into their escalated support staff. At first, they were responsive, but when I demanded answers they were silent. I was looking for some sort of compensation for our family's need for a Rental Car, extra hotels, miles, and a change of flights. I was promised a call back by a certain time, I never received a callback EVER. The escalated associate that handled my situation, to begin with, was just done with me after a day. I was told she was no longer handling my case. I never received any compensation for anything. The only thing I was gifted with is with hours of time money and resources rearranging my family's vacation 3 days before our departure. I will never use RV Share again! UPDATE: As I stated in my initial review I did receive all my money back plus my deposit. My problem is that there are no repercussions on the owner of the RV when they cancel. I had an RV reserved and confirmed. I would have been charged thousands of dollars if I canceled 3 days before our trip. I then had to spend thousands of dollars rerenting an RV, Renting a Car, Changing flights, Booking a Hotel Room. ALL LAST MINUTE. This is why I would not use RV Share again. Not because I did not receive my money back. RV OWNERS should have repercussions or RV Share should take responsibility for these actions. until then-No thank you.

RVshare Let me start off by stating: DO NOT USE RVSHARE!

Let me start off by stating: DO NOT USE RVSHARE! Here's my experience, I initially had a reservation to rent an RV and was informed less than 24hrs from my pickup day that the owner cancelled the reservation. At the time, I did not know why. I wasn't contacted directly by phone. I just happened to check my email and there it was..."the Owner cancelled..." I wasn't offered an alternative reservation by RVSHARE. I went into panic mode to try and find a replacement myself through RVSHARE. (I found out later from the Owner, on my own, that there was a tragic death in the family and he had to "...cancel ALL his reservations...his family comes first". I get it. I agree with it. But, maybe a direct phone call would have been best with less than 24hrs from the reservation start, either by the Owner or a RVSHARE representative.) I found a couple RVs and booked one using the "Instant Booking" service. Yes, it was "Instant", they "instantly" took my payment, gave me a reservation #, but no pickup address to get the RV. I waited a few hours and still no update on where to pickup the RV. I then called RVSHARE Support and inquired about why I was not given the address. I found out that I needed to have my ID verified. Unfortunately, I was informed that no one was available/around (it was approximately 9pm at night) to verify my ID! I would have to call back 1st thing in the morning. Now, my pickup time was 9am. According to Waze, it would take 1hr 44mins to get to the city of where the RV is located. I informed the RVSHARE Support person of this and she understood but I still had to call back in the morning. So I did @ 6:30am. On my 1st call, I was informed that my ID was verified and that I should see the address on my reservation. I hung up and waited for the system to possibly update in a few minutes. I called RVSHARE Support again and was told to hold while she looked into it. After a few minutes on hold, the RVSHARE Support representative told me where to look for the address in my booking, which I knew where to look and it wasn't there. I then hung up and accessed RVSHARE on my home computer, as advised by the representative. Still no address. On the 3rd call, I was put on hold for several minutes and a few times while Support looked more into it. Then, I was told that the Owner of my 2nd reservation was unresponsive. The representative then told me that she would send an email (what?) to the Owner and if they didn't respond in an hour, she would cancel the reservation. I said that wasn't acceptable and just cancel the reservation. The representative put me on hold again to confirm if that was possible to do. Then, she said that they will cancel the reservation and offer a $200 credit on my next reservation/account. I went ahead and tried to book another RV, but I had to wait for the 3rd Owner to accept. Not acceptable for me so I cancelled the 3rd reservation, made a reservation with U-Haul to get a covered trailer so that I can haul all of my camping equipment, which I didn't initially want to do. I then got an email from RVSHARE for three other options to rent. All of them where above my car's towing capability and not within my schedule or preferred distance. To have to drive approximately 2hrs to get an RV was now not an option. A little over an hour later, I get a call from RVSHARE Support that the Owner of the 2nd reservation can have the RV available by 5pm. Again, not convenient for me and I already made alternate plans with U-Haul. Again, DON'T let this happen to you and I would not want this to happen to anyone else. DON'T use RVSHARE...PERIOD!

RVshare Cancellation

I booked a reservation last week wednesday, I experienced a adverse effect to my medication, I cancelled the reservation, the next day, the customer service told me I was 15 mins too late for a refund. I have a emergency doctors appointment tomorrow, I asked for help serveral times through the “support” service and never received it, I had to google how to cancel. I only received my insurance protection portion. I would like my money back, my medical issue was unexpected. I am shocked that this organization is this difficult to work with. I am on a fixed income, as a disabled combat veteran

Desired outcome: Full refund.

RVshare We booked a 7 day RV trip through RV share

We booked a 7 day RV trip through RV share. Paid for insurance and everything. The website and booking process was pretty easy and I chose a newish (2018) RV with low mileage thinking the chance of engine trouble would be low. Unfortunately, within 90 miles of our trip the check engine light started flashing. I understand engine troubles can happen. I contacted the owner who said it had never happened before and suggested I call the RV share roadside assistance. They told me if it's still running to keep driving it. Was slightly surprised by this. After talking to some friends I stopped at a *** and they ran a diagnostic that showed the cylinders were misfiring. Likely a spark plug issue but hard to say. The owner didn't want me driving it. I didn't trust driving it the 2000 miles we had planned. The Roadside assistance would provide no assistance because the RV was still "drivable". They could only tow us somewhere. There was no actual vehicle service available. The next day was a Sunday and nothing was open. We lost 36hrs of our trip troubleshooting and had to purchase 2 hotel rooms. There were no RV parks available in the area. The RV support was completely useless at this point. They provided no assistance in finding a new RV - even though they pretended to. All they did was waste my time. I was able to organized a replacement RV that was more expensive and required a shorter trip to accommodate another booking. RV share has stop responding to any emails regarding financial reimbursement. When I call I've been put on hold for 20+ minutes and have to give up. They're happy to collect their fee's but then provide no actual help when things go wrong. I had to spend an additional 964$ on hotel rooms and lost deposits for RV campgrounds we had to cancel last minute. We also had to pay more for the replacement RV. ~$300 per day vs 200. We were refunded the cost of the first RV rental but I don't think goes far enough.

I rented a 2022 RV and while using the awing the arm snapped. I notified the owner and was told it would be covered under the RV's warranty. However, RV share kept my deposit and filed a claim with their insurance. I was not informed of any information until I received an invoice for 1,187.00 for an awning arm. The paid my deposit to the owner for a factory faulted awing arm.

On Sept.6th, 2022 I received an email from my renter through RVShare, there had been a collusion and my RV had been totaled. The renter had purchased the required insurance through RVShare, ***. Upon many emails and phone calls over the past 46 days, I was defeated and broken. Making payments on an RV I no longer had, I agreed on an amount, not included the entire contents of the RV. *** sent the check on or near 9/30/22 to the lien holder and stop payment was made on the check on or about 10/7/22. I called the Head of Claims, like many times before, I got the impression he thought I was lying to him, about the stop payment. I also called Title Express and was told, in the State of Oregon, the DMV Power of Attorney needs to be signed and submitted first, before payment can be issued. My husband and I did the paper work, received text message, paperwork has been received and processed. Another week goes by, I had not heard any up-dates. Contacted the lien holder, no payment had been received. Called ***, Lot # *** had been closed and no payment sent to the lien holder. I have called and emailed RVShare and *** with no answers. I am at a $60,000+ loss, also continuing to make RV payments. This needs to be resolved by 10/27/22

I used the platform RVshare.com to find an owner for trailer rental. The link was *** After connecting on RV share she asked us to send money to a private *** account and sent us a separate receipt. We paid total of $9800 for travel trailer that was delivered as a one week rental. The trailer did not have functioning electric system. The gray water detector was faulty. The owner of the trailer who we found through RV share was *** (her name is at the bottom of the link I shared above). She never attempted to fix the trailer, and promised us partial refund and never responded. She then went on to keep our deposit without any explanation. She has refused to return our calls. She is using a reputable website to scam people of money. We reached out to RVshare informing them of ***'s fraudulent use of their website to secure money from customers. RV share is not responding back and they have not made any effort to admonish her nor help with resolution given the payment was made to a rerouted payment site. Their future customers are at risk and I am asking they step in, but they are refusing to do so.

I booked an RV with RV Share for a trip to Misty Mountain campground Oct 13th -16 2022. The camper was to be delivered and set up at 1:00pm on the 13th. Upon arrival at 3pm there was no camper. I could not get ahold of the owner nor could I get a resolution from RV Share. I spent all afternoon/evening on the phone with the company while sitting stranded on a picnic table with a 5 month old baby and a 9 year old. I already paid money to the company and no resolution was made. Warning to anyone traveling and expecting to have somewhere to stay. You may be left stranded like myself.

RVshare We reserved an RV through RVShare on 22-Oct-2021

We reserved an RV through RVShare on 22-Oct-2021. Reservation number is ***. It was to be picked up in Boerne, Texas on Mon, Nov 22, 2021 and returned Fri, Nov 26, 2021. Rental price $239.99 x 4 nights $959.96 Taxes $0.00 Propane $49.99 Cleaning $99.99 Tank Dump $49.99 Service fee $104.39 Insurance $157.50 Total $1421.82 The RV was to be used in Comfort, TX (short distance from Boerne) to provide additional sleeping quarters for out of town family guests visiting over Thanksgiving. It was not for a camping trip. We picked the RV up at the appropriate day/time/location. I drove it home and my family decided immediately it was not going to work due to numerous issues. I contacted the owner and he said "you can bring it back, that's fine". No one used it at all - returned in same condition we found it with full tank of gas (held 10 gallons). All we did was drive it to Comfort on Monday night and returned it to the owner in Boerne on Tuesday morning. The problems included, but were not limited to: 1) It was not clean inside - we were going to have to clean it ourselves to make it acceptable 2) the toilet seal was leaking and the odor inside was terrible/offensive 3) Usually rental RV's come with some equipment, including pots & pans, bedding, silverware, etc. The only thing it has was a roll of paper towels. 4) I was told the black tank was empty, but level indicator said it was full and I had no place to dump it 5) I explained to owner that I had a 50-amp electrical connection, but the RV had a 30-amp cord and owner was of no assistance in providing an adapter - had to make a trip to Kerrville, TX to locate a 50-/30 adapter. 6) the rear tires were bald and unsafe 7) the side cargo doors kept coming open while traveling down the road and would not stay closed I feel like this unit was totally misrepresented on the RVShare website. It created a huge inconvenience for my family. RVShare says the owner has to agree to refund the money.

I booked a van for a 2018 Roadtrek Simplicity SRT on RVshare in *** California. for October 15-18 The owner messaged me that the Drivers side window is not working. I asked for a refund of $100 for the Inconvenience , and they came back with only $50. then after consulting with my travel partner I decided since the Owner was not willing to fix the window with 5 days prior to my trip, what else are they being negligent on the vehicle? I did not feel safe in the van as I also have Claustrophobia, and the fact that the window does not open is an issue. I have contact RV share several times and asked for a supervisor, finally after 5 calls, and they are trying to reach toe owner.. I asked the owner repeatedly to cancel my reservation (they have not) since they are negligent of fixing this issue and they offered me a partial refund of $58 on $665.32. as of today they have 3 days to re rent the van but they are refusing to cancel my booking and refund me all my money. I have not even taken possession of the van, and with mechanical issues I fear it is not safe. these people have taken all of my money and I have not even begun my trip yet. I paid $300.32 on September 8th and $107.44 on September 10th and $257.56 on September 16th. they are not wiling to refund me my money due to their mechanical issues. this is false advertising, and I believe that this is a common practice with them as they keep peoples money and not rent the vehicle. I believe this is a scam.

We made a reservation for an RV rental to start 10/13 and end on 10/16. On 10/12 my wife and I discovered we came down with COVID. To be fair, we told the RV owners and asked if we could still take their RV. They told us no and to cancel. We didn't want to but honored their wishes. Now RVShare has only initiated a 50% refund which is not per their terms. This was an owner demand for cancelation (please see attached screenshots of text conversation with owner which we also sent to the support staff at RVShare) NOT ours, the renters. We should be getting a 100% refund due to owner demand to cancel. We want a full refund as the owners shouldn't be making any money for demanding we cancel our reservation. To accept reservations then demand renters cancel but still collect any sort of money for the demanded cancelation is fraud in my opinion. We respectfully request all of our money back.

I HAVE BEEN A TOP-RATED RV FOR RENTAL ON RVSHARE FOR TWO YEARS AND NOW THEY HAVE AVOIDED MONTHS OF COMMUNICATION WITH ME AFTER REMOVING ME FROM THE WEBSITE WITH NO EXPLANATION WHATSOEVER. THEY NOW TELL ME I'VE BEEN DENIED BY THEIR INSURANCE CARRIER TO INSURE MY RENTERS BUT REFUSE TO STATE WHY. I BELIEVE THIS IS SOME SORT OF RETALIATION OR DISCRIMINATION. I HAVE NEVER CAUSED ANY TROUBLE FOR THEM, THIS CAME OUT OF THE BLUE. YOU ARE WELCOME TO CHECK ALL COMMUNICATIONS I HAVE HAD WITH THEM. VERY CIVIL. BUT THEY CONTINUE TO PRETEND LIKE THEY ARE SOLVING THE PROBLEM WITHOUT RETURNING CALLS OR EMAILS WITH SUBSTANTIVE ANWERS. I DEPEND ON THIS SOURCE OF INCOME.

On 8/7/22 I filed a request for a $50.00 promotional gas reimbursement for a trip I took from 7/23-8/6. On 8/18 I received a response from *** with the Customer Experience Team saying that the gift cards for this program would be sent 2 to 3 weeks after the end of the promotion which was 8/15/22. I followed up on 9/15/22 because I still had not received my reimbursement. No one responded to my email. I sent follow up emails on 9/21 , 9/23, 10/4, 10/7 and 10/15 and no one ever responds. The emails are sent to *** I have made multiple phone calls regarding this as well and I am always told that they are working on it. On 9/26 I called and was told that the reimbursement was just mailed out that day and I would have it within 48 hours. That was a lie because when I called the next week they said nothing had been sent. On my 10/6 phone call I was told a manager would call me by the end of the day 10/7. No one ever called. I called in again on 10/10 and asked for a manager and of course had to keep explaining over and over what the issue was. Everyone keeps saying they are researching it and I will get it soon but it has now been 2 months since the promotion ended and I still dont have my reimbursement. On my last call from 10/10 I was told that they are working with the marketing team and they are busy but Ill get it soon and someone would be in contact. I havent heard from anyone. I just want my reimbursement that was advertised and supposed to be sent within 2-3 weeks after 8/15/22. I submitted all of my information and did what I was supposed to. They need to do their job and send me my $50.00 gift card. I am attaching screen shots of the email chain.

RVshare On March 18 i went to the RVShare website to inquire about renting a trailer for a week from 4/26 - 5/3

On March 18 i went to the RVShare website to inquire about renting a trailer for a week from 4/26 - 5/3. I chose a 25 foot forest river rv. I specified the dates and i was provided details of charges that totaled $1288.96. I agreed to the terms and submitted my credit card information. I received an email from RVShare that requested a copy of my driver's license front and back and a photo from my computer camera to confirm my identity. I received an email from RVShare on 3/18 that my ID verification had passed . I then received a message from the owner on my RVShare account (that i was required to establish) asking if there were hook *** for water , electricity and sewer at the site. i responded that there was electricity and sewer. There was no further response from RVShare or the owner regarding my booking. However, I have been receiving unsolicited emails and phone texts from other owners asking if i wanted to rent their RVs. I called customer support at *** 3/20 at 11:00 am. I spoke to a representative whose name sounded like Blick who told me my request had expired and that I should not re-contact the owner . He could not say why the booking was cancelled. I asked him to stop the unsolicited emails and texts and he led me through the process to cancel these notifications. He assured me that RVShare would protect my private information, however, i would like to have this information removed entirely from the company's database. I am asking assistance from the complaintsboard.com to have this done. Additionally, these practices are deceptive. I was led to believe that the booking was approved. I provided my credit card and private information with this belief only to find that this was not the case. My booking was cancelled. The only way i found this out was to contact customer service. Furthermore, it is unethical for RVShare to share my contact information with other owners. This practice should be stopped.

I booked an RV with RVshare this July and planned to travel to Ithaca, NY, as a reward for sending my daughter to Cornell University as a family. But Because of the lack of maintenance of the RV, The RV battery was not powered all the time, and without 30A power from the campground, the property was unusable en route. The water heater and refrigerator kept going on and off on the road, and this continued until the vehicle was returned to the owner and the RV water pump stopped working en route. It was a terrible trip. On the way to Colorado, the Scissors stabilizer broke down three times at a purchase cost of $120.09. The worst part was that the air conditioning unit stopped cooling on the way to Kansas, and living in the RV with the outdoor temperature at 100 degrees F was impossible. We had an RV repair shop check it out, and it turned out that the air conditioning compressor was broken beyond repair at the cost of 70.00 and had to be replaced with a new A/C compressor. Because the cost involved is too large, but also has been in communication with the platform customer service and finally followed the platform customer service advice, first replacing the air conditioning compressor. The total cost of purchase and installation was $1,648.36 , the Frame Jack of the RV was unusable due to the aging pins breaking, and the purchase cost was $35.61. The total cost of repairing the RV above was $1916.86. The cost of delaying our trip and staying in the hotel due to the RV being stranded on the way was $398,which also caused our trip to be delayed by 5 days to return the car. RV share took this as a reason and only agreed to pay us $350 for maintenance labor and refused to pay for the purchase of other replacement equipment such as the air conditioner compressor. cost us $1964.86

We used RV Share to rent an RV from ***. The RV was improperly maintained, and features were not working as a result. From the very first day we reported 1) The portable water tank had a 1/2" hole in it which was reported the day of the trip starting, so we could not use the water off shore 2) The battery was not working or holding a charge, which resulted in a dead battery while starting the trip 3) Propane refrigerator and stove did not work due to low voltage from battery 4) The AC would not stay working due to battery 5) The battery was bad due to not having straps to hold it in place, so it was moving around the interior of the engine bay (set on a piece of 2' x 18" plywood, which caused to to get a hole from rubbing against sheet metal on the bumper. All of this caused us issues on our trip non the least. RV Share asked us to pay for mechanic out of pocket to fix the problems. RV Share tried to get a mechanic from Arizona to drive 4 hours to Durango to fix the rv, and his response was to file a claim and he would not make the drive. RV Denied the renter did any wrongdoing, and is not only allowing us to "get out of paying" for the new battery, but also is only willing to give us two nights free (we asked for half back from ***). The RV Repair shop that fixed the RV while we were broken down in a parking lot in Durango is willing to speak with RV Share, but they were not even willing to speak with them before coming up with any determination. I would think that alone shows an unwillingness to see where the problem lies. The repairman said the RV was not something that should even be on the road, let alone being rented out. RV Share has no concern for what is being rented on the site and is basically taking a "we're not legally liable" stance. Maybe not legally, but morally you should be a little more concerned about ruining people's vacations at the very least.

RVshare ** OWNERS BEWARE!

OWNERS BEWARE! My *** was rented through *** Share to a renter from 1/10-1/22/2022. At day 10 of the rental, after approximately *** miles driving, a warning light came on and the *** engine stopped. The renters abandoned our *** 800 miles away from our home (13 hours driving) the next day in ***. Upon diagnosis, there was a wire that had to be replaced on the wiring harness. *** Share has determined through their dispute process that this is due to lack of owner maintenance, even though my dispute form clearly documented the *** had its annual preventive maintenance within the last 12 months and a full inspection at an authorized International Truck shop within the past 3 months. We clearly maintained our *** very well, and this is not an issue that would be found during inspection, as it failed 10 days into the rental. While we don't hold the renters accountable for that, it also is clearly NOT due to our negligence. We filed very reasonable charges to the renter to cover the cost for us to retrieve the *** and to fill the gas tank as required per their rental contract. Through the dispute process, *** Share filed $0 charges against the renter, violating RVShare's own Terms of Use policy which states in paragraph 11: "You must return the *** to the place of pick up or other location that the Owner specifies..." and "We or the Owner may repossess the *** at your expense without notice to you if the *** is abandoned or used in violation of law or this Agreement. You agree to indemnify the Company, defend the Company, and hold the Company harmless from all claims, liability, costs and attorneys fees we incur resulting from our repossession of it." I want *** Share to pay us the costs for us to retrieve the *** and re-fuel it per the renter's contract: IRS mileage rate for *** miles to travel to and from the *** Location, $250 to cover a hotel and campground stay, and $360 to cover the renter's requirement for the *** to have a full tank of gas upon return.

In June 2022 I rented an RV from RV Share. I returned the RV to the owner upon the completion of my trip. The owner said he could not make the meeting to receive the RV. So I sent pictures of the RV returned in good condition at the designated location the owner wanted the RV left. These were sent via text message so the time and dates are all stamped. Two weeks later the owner filed a claim with RV share saying I damaged the RV. He sent in pictures. The damage that was now present on the RV was NOT present when I returned it in my pictures. RV Share charged me almost $2000 even though there was 100% proof I did no damage to the RV. They have been horrible to deal with. I would like my security deposit back and my trip refunded for the hassle of dealing with this.

I reserved a camper, then had to cancel 2 weeks later due to my camp site not being able to accommodate my rental. The company kept half my money. I spoke with company, they said it was due to the policy on cancelations set by the owner. The told me if the the owner gives permission to release funds then they will. I contacted the owner and they said this is not true, that rvshare.com withholds the money and they set the policy on cancelations and they would release funds. Rv share is refusing the give me my money which is about 300 for a camper that was never used.

RVShare essentially double charges for insuring an RV at exorbitant rates which are not advertised. We have full coverage automotive insurance which COVERED the rental of the RV, but the owner of the RV brokered by RVShare told us RVShare would not allow us to use our *** insurance. Further, the rate for the insurance was almost twenty times the amount we pay per year on our most expensive vehicle. The cost was $181 that the RV owner didn't receive for insurance we already covered. This is a deceptive practice on the part of RVShare. We'd like to be refunded the money for insurance not needed.

RV share require the insurance for an RV rental which we purchased for $189 that RVshare recommended on their website after asking the destination of our travel. so they know we will be driving on the road from LA to GRAND CANYON. we treated that RV like our own and we drove safely and carefully as we had our family in the car. we only drove on the paved road and we didn't go anywhere that is restricted. however an unfortunate accident happened and the windshield got chipped and a small crack appeared. so the owner and rv share charged $1000 on our credit card on file. we disputed the amount through our credit card company because we were never told by rvshare or the owner about this charge. only after i disputed i received an email from rvshare that it will be $527.16 and that they will refund $472.[protected].16). the insurance agent that RV share partnered with for this rental sent an email saying they don't cover windshield. the windshield is a part of the car, it got damaged driving on the road by accident. this insurance company is also a sham&rvshare chose to do business with them. we disclosed all our information for them and they hid this information in fine prints. i'm simply tired of insurance companies taking advantage of little guys like us. what kind of insurance doesn't cover windshield which is a part of the vehicle? I reached out to rvshare many times and always got the same answers that the cost is $527.16 without addressing any of my concern and questions. they just want me to be quiet and pay. I got my own quote and it was no way $527.16. Rvshare now doesn't want to deal with me telling me to contact the owner directly. I already spent way too much time contacting rvshare, owner, Complaintsboard.com, and insurance agent. the vehicle is used for business rental and the owner and rvshare expect us to pay for brand new windshield not the crack repair cost. the 2019 windshield was already depreciated before our rental. how does that fair? they're taking advantage

RVshare 11/26/29 rental agreement for a toy hauler trailer in California, returned early

The rental agreement for the toy hauler trailer spanned from 11/26 to 11/29, but the trailer was returned a day early. The trailer was located in California, and the owner's identity is withheld. The rental cost was significant. The trailer's condition was not as advertised, with duct tape covering holes and securing an outside compartment. The bunk bed ladder was broken, and items like chairs and tables were missing, contrary to the advertisement. The cleanliness was subpar, violating health standards, with hair in shower drains, fingerprints on surfaces, bodily fluids in the sink and on mirrors, and unclean floors and toilet. The trailer lacked pre-filled water and propane, leading to additional expenses. The owner wrongfully withheld a large sum from the deposit, accusing us of damage. The owner's claims about RV share's policies were misleading, and his excuses for not preparing the trailer were inconsistent with RV share's records. The owner's actions warrant complaints to the business licensing authority, health department, and consumer affairs department.

RVshare Our 3-week rental was complicated by four flat tires in the first half of the trip

Our 3-week rental was complicated by four flat tires in the first half of the trip. All flat tires were caused by faulty rubber stem valves, as stated by repair shops. When these valves were exchanged for the metal ones, the tires stopped failing. In the dispute, RVshare sided with the owner, who used the arguments that this never happened before, the tire business he used has a good reputation, and we must have ridden on unsuitable terrain. We only rode on highways and paved roads, and stayed in established campgrounds, as the owner could see because the vehicle has a GPS tracker (which we were not told about). The owner refused to share any cost associated with these mishaps which incurred the cost of the repairs, about eight lost hours and 150 additional miles. The owner even filed an exaggerated quote for damages caused by one of the rubber stem valve pop-ups. Despite three e-mail requests, the RVshare never provided a written dispute resolution. We could only guess it from a small refund that was not related to the main issue. The main complaints are summarized as follows. 1. RVshare failed to thoroughly perform and complete the dispute process. 2. RVshare operational timeline does not allow renters who open a dispute to post a review of the trip. In this way, they are skewing the reviews in favor of the owners. 3, The owner used a damage repair quote from a workshop which he called Goodenough Garage. The quote does not contain the address, phone number, e-mail, or web address. The web search did not find any workshop with that name. These facts indicate that the quote can be fraudulent and creates a potential for tax evasion. RVshare used the quote to charge me for the damages and did not do anything about it despite my multiple requests. If this is a common practice at RVshare, maybe the IRS should get involved. 4. RVshare is hiding the service fees on overcharges (whooping 15%) in different spots on their web site in lieu of stating them directly on the web page displayed to the renter upon making the reservation and before paying for it.

RVshare I rented my camper on Wed Jul 8, 2020, reservation #*** to C*** K*** who damaged the flooring and claimed responsibility for the

I rented my camper on Wed Jul 8, 2020, reservation #*** to C K who damaged the flooring and claimed responsibility for the damages. RV Share requested that I get estimates for the damages. The renter filed a claim and it was denied thru the RV Share insurance company, RV Share requested that I file a claim thru my insurance company, I requested on why my insurance company would be responsible (I have not received a response). The way that my camper is designed (center console) the camper dealership told me that is would be more economical to place carpet in the bedroom area verse detach & resetting the center console. I submitted my estimates per RV Share request that totaled $2,579.87 and I was offered $1,500 for the repairs (which does not even cover the vinyl flooring). The dealership is not able to match the existing carpet and I requested to replace the existing carpet in the family area, since it will connected/ attached to the new carpet in the bedroom area. I requested a reason and justification on why I am being financially responsible for the repairs and I have not received a response from RV Share. I also requested different solutions or ideas and I have also not received any responses from RV Share. I also had to drive my rv to the dealership which is approx 30 mins away to get a estimate and I will have to take it back up there for the repairs Per the contract the renter signed: You are responsible for all damage to, loss or theft of the RV, including damage caused by weather, acts of god or terrain conditions. Your responsibility will include: (a) all physical damage to the RV measured as follows: (i) if we determine that the RV is a total loss, the actual cash value of the RV, less salvage; (ii) if we determine that the RV is repairable, the reasonable estimated retail value or actual cost of repair; (b) towing, storage, and impound charges and other reasonable incidental and consequential damages; and (c) all costs associated with our enforcement of these Terms or collection of Charges, including attorneys' fees, collection fees, and costs whether or not litigation is commenced. You must report all accidents or incidents of theft and vandalism to us and the police as soon as you discover them. We agree to properly maintain the RV; damage as a result of our lack of proper maintenance, or from mechanical or electrical failure which is not a result of your negligence or improper use, is our responsibility. The Company will include an administrative fee on Charges for which you will be responsible.

RVshare When looking at the information and policies for renting an RV, the information on the RVShare website said pickup time was at 11:00AM

When looking at the information and policies for renting an RV, the information on the RVShare website said pickup time was at 11:00AM. I requested to book the RV, and received an email from RVShare asking me to confirm and pay. In this email, it stated the pickup time of 11:00AM, matching the original listing on the website. I paid half of the amount at that time. One month before the trip began, the second half of the payment was charged to my card, and I received another email from RVShare confirming the payment. Additionally, this email listed a pickup time of 11:00AM, matching the original listing and the first email from RVShare which asked me to confirm and pay. I later learned the owner had provided a customized quote (before my first payment) which changed the pickup time to 6:00PM on that same day. However, the email from RVShare stated 11:00AM, not 6:00PM - the only way to see the 6:00PM time was in the RVShare Dashboard, which I was not familiar with at that time. We planned our vacation around an 11:00AM pickup time, reserving a spot at a campground which was reachable with an early pickup time, but not with a 6:00PM pickup time. A couple of weeks before the trip started, we were double-checking the information about the RV and noticed it said a pickup time of 6:00PM. Originally, we thought we had overlooked this when booking and were disappointed, but thought it was an oversight on our part. However, we later were looking through emails from RVShare, and noticed that all of them listed the pickup time of 11:00AM, and so it was in all likelihood not an oversight. The reason we had an early pickup in our head when we were planning was because of those emails (and the original listing for the RV on their website). We have contacted RVShare requesting a partial refund, since the misinformation in their emails led us to having to sleep at a noisy truck stop without any hookups rather than our campground (with full hookups) that first night. However, RVShare has stated that since it offers a peer-to-peer service, and since the RV owner sets the pickup time, that they have no responsibility for this misunderstanding. However, it was emails from RVShare, not from the owner, which stated the 11:00 pickup time and led us to plan our trip assuming the earlier pickup time. I can provide supporting documentation to substantiate everything here, including the emails from RVShare with the incorrect pickup time as well as a detailed timeline of events - booking, final payment, campground reservations, communications with the owner about the pickup time, campground cancelation, and communications with RVShare after the trip had concluded seeking a partial refund.

RVshare I found an RV on this website and paid in full for the rental

I found an RV on this website and paid in full for the rental. In the days leading up, I prepared everything to take including prepping a weeks worth of food. On the morning of July 6, 2 hours before I was supposed to pick up my rental and 4 hours before we were leaving on our out of state trip, the owner called and said it had been in an accident the day before. Rather than informing me the day before, he waited. He then said he had another motorhome I could have. The picture he provided showed a rundown and motorhome not even close to what I had paid for. I was not comfortable with this but what was I supposed to do when my kids are packed and waiting for the motorhome to drive up to go on vacation. I also questioned the insurance. I also called RVshare and explained what was going on. I confirmed with RVshare that the insurance is based on the VIN and could not just use the other motorhome. They advised they would try to find another motorhome but didn't think they would be able to. There were no supervisors available to speak with. I called and told J, the owner of the motorhome, about the issue with the insurance. J claimed he had a personal cell number for an employee at RVshare who could fix the insurance issue. SInce I was between a rock and a hard place, I agreed to go look at the motorhome he was offering. James said he would be there for us to look at it. I went to the address and drove down a dirt road where I came to what appeared to be a junkyard. The original motorhome I rented was no where to be found. There was a makeshift tent with questionable people sitting on chairs. I asked for J and the woman said he was not there and she was his "agent". I felt very uncomfortable and worried for my safety. At that point we left immediately. I called RVshare again who said the were very sorry but they had no motorhomes. *** 2 HOURS BEFORE WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE ROAD FOR OUR TRIP FROM CALIFORNIA TO YELLOWSTONE *** THere was no way I could cancel our trip as we have no other vacation weeks this summer available and our kids were packed and heartbroken that there was no motorhome and now maybe no trip. I had to throw out all the food and put what we could in our car and hit the road. This was several hundred dollars worth of prepped food. I had to pay for all the food on our trip and hotels. I lost my money on reservations, I also had to put almost 3000 miles on my personal vehicle that affects the value of my vehicle. What was supposed to be an amazing trip suddenly was a nightmare. RVshare has said this is not their problem. They are not responsible. There has been no proof that the motorhome was in an accident and no concern for what appears to be a person on their site doing a bait and switch scam. How many other people has he done this to? How many people had kids standing there waiting for a vacation and felt forced take this other motorhome he was offering because if they didn't they would lose all their food and money for reservations for the trip? I have called and emailed RVshare numerous times. I finally got an email saying this is not their problem. They claim they verified the motorhome was in an accident but won't provide any proof. They say they are not resposible for all the financial losses I incurred. Even if the motorhome was in an accident, this is a situation that you have to prepare prior to picking up the rental and make reservations. Suggesting that the people on their site can cancel hours before with no liability and they only have to try to find a replacement but if they don' *** not their problem is not a reasonalbe expectation. Ultimately, I have been offered one free night by RVshare. I have emailed and asked for supervisor information and documentation but now they are not responding.

We booked an RV on RVshare.com spending 10000 dollars on flight tickets, concert tickets and Airbnb/concert tickets.

The owner of RV bailed on us when we went to pick up because AC wasnt working.

RVshare has to provide us the compensation as all our trip has been cancelled.

We will continue fighting till we are not compensated.
