The doctors
Hi I’m a 60 year old male be going to this place for almost two years and 3 different doctors well in April I was put on promataca for my platelets count to rise for neck surgery well I got denied surgery because the anesthesia Dr didn’t want to take the risk of me bleeding out on the table well my neck n back doctor was going to send me to Pensacola hospital but due to lack of transportation I’m not able to go there well since march 17 2023 I was given them promataca pills for my surgery which got canceled on the 21 of April 2023 I told the nurse I was haveing problems with them pills and she said half it and take every two days. So on march 22 2023 I had to take a blood test and it brought my platelets up to 135 but I was getting bad side affects and then the nurse gives me a appointment 2 and a half months later gives me a blood order for 4/21/2023 and tells me I’ve got to wait till my appointment with them is almost due? I thought u was suppose to regularly get blood test if ur on them pills and I get told I’ve got to wait till it’s almost time to see this nurse I don’t even know the two other doctors and the first one left state. Ok since last Friday my side affects have gotten worser bad headaches running nose sneeze ing and coughing up lots of flem I sent a email to some lady and she writes back oh we sent ur inquiry to the same place I’m going to didn’t answer any of my questions and she said oh they will call you and of course they didn’t I called them early this morning genesis care of Crestview fl and the receptionist tells me I wrote him a note and told him u was haveing bad side affects and he will call u back and once again nutting if ur put on them pills and haveing bad side affects u think he or the nurse would call u and something isn’t right I’ve had [censored]ty care since I’ve been going there and now this I think it’s very wrong they treat their patients like this I’m sick and have been since last Friday and I feel like I’m nutting but a paycheck n number cause when ur haveing bad problems because they put u on these pills and then leave u hanging? I’d like to know why I’m getting such bad health care from them and for them not to even call me so far two days and I’m the one suffering not them but I don’t feel like a patient like I said a paycheck n a number. I feel like I’ve got a case for negligence and to make me wait two hole months to even get a blood work done? It doesn’t make sense cause I don’t know what is going on especially haveing these side effects and them just blowing me off and I can’t say I like the doctors cause I don’t even know them and the first dr just did test after test after test blood wise and I’m still in the same spot but worser.. what is going on very unhappy patient. I was work as a cook in the kitchen there and I Myron Harvey have been cooking for over 30 years what I experience there was very disturbing to me. When you have cook that only be cooking for 6 months not complying to rule and regulations. Serving collar greens without washing them, baking hamburger for 45 minutes that are well overcook. Not serving or weighing out the correct portion. From cooking all food completely wrong. Then when you try to teach them and speak with management they give you the run around.

Unpaid Accrued Vacation Time at retirement
There has been no resolution to this complaint. The company emailed that they do not pay for vacation days accrued, however Employee Hand Book states: Unless required by state law or a CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement), accrued or advanced paid time off will not be paid out at termination. I have 3 problems with this: 1- I was not terminated, I retired with 2weeks vacation from the [protected] year. I also accrued another 4 weeks for [protected] year on August 11, 2021, which should have been a pro-rated pay out. 2- The Human Resource Director of my Center told me I would get the vacation time for the [protected] period, but she was not sure about the [protected] accruals. 3-The Pennsylvania state law says: Employers do not have to pay out vacation days unless it was implied by the company. In this case, it was implied by the company and expected to be paid to the employee. If I had known otherwise, I would have postponed my date of Retirement to a later date. Their decision to Not Pay has caused a financial difficulty for me.

Vacation pay
My name is Teresa Johnson and I worked for Genesis for over 26years. I retired on October 29th with 240 hours of vacation. My anniversary date was 8/11/21 at which time I accrued 200 vacation hours. Of the 240 hours, 40 hours were carried over from [protected] as allowed by the company. Before giving my notice of retirement, I checked with HR to make sure I would be receiving some of my accrued vacation time. She said I should receive at least the vacation time carried over from the previous year. When I notified management of my retirement, I was told that I could not take any sick or vacation days during the period after I have given notice of my retirement.
When I left the Company, I did not receive the vacation pay. I have sent messages to HR to forward to the Corporate Office and they contend that they do not have to pay any vacation days. I review the PA State Regulations regarding vacation pay and it states in most cases it is not paid unless it was implied by the company. In this case, I was told that I would receive my vacation pay and therefore it was implied. In addition, if I had known otherwise I would have changed my resignation date to use the time that was available.
Desired outcome: I would like to get compensation for the 40 hours of vacation time.
Bad ER doctor
My son Tyler Bak 12/10/2003 was in the ER at Genesis Bethesda zanesville ohio 43701, on 11/19/2021 over his face being numb. The doctor refused an xray and said he was fine and sent us home. This is bad practice and negligence. My son face is numb on left side for a week now. I asked for a second opinion of another doctor and was told Id have to go re-register again to see someone else my son was mad and so we left. His wisdom teeth are in, we dont know what it is from. But we have no help due to this doctor.
Fellow coworker shoved me and DON did nothing
I was working and cna came to desk to help change a patient the pts nurse said no my shoulder hurts. I got up and helped cna. Same nurse med tech came to desk to ask for help with pt in wrong bed, hostile pt she kicked me and I moved on, the same med tech asked for help. Her nurse finally got out of chair came to room and shoved me and said don't touch my ot in my face several times. I told her not to touch me again and reported to DON. She did nothing and left her there for me work with fir another two hrs.

After repeatedly speaking to staff members regarding visitation we have been turned away two times. The second time because your Elms Haven location was understaffed. Now I know my family actually pays very good money for my Dad to live there and I know your company is doing pretty well. If you would pay a living wage to your employees, they would feel more inclined to show up and work. Quit making excuses and do your job. Hire enough people to staff your facilities and I would not have driven a total of 10 hours to see my family member and been turned away. I am vaccinated and was told by the activities director that we could visit, got there, and was turned away. This is disgusting and unacceptable.
You better believe I am going to be loud and post all over the internet.
Fix this! Hire enough people to staff your facilities and pay them right.

Tabby Tanner, activities director, showed staff a naked picture of the NP Alisha Jackson, a full body nude picture. The picture was sent to Hanna Holbert and Hanna forward the picture to Tabby. Tabby Tanner said she was keeping the picture in case she needed to use it against her. She show it to myself Linda Ayres and Kendra Perry. Lots of weird stuff going on in this facilty and it needs taken care of. I'm resigning my position, I want no part of it. I have more respect for my reputation than to work with people like that. My husband was at the Willows, 225 Amity Road, in Woodbridge, CT for 4 days. Of the 4 days he was there he was brought to the ER 3 times; once for an infection (which I understand) and the other 2 times were due to a fall, one of which the nurse was standing there. This is highly unacceptable. I also noticed when picking up his belongings that my husband had been in the same clothes that he came to your facility with for 4 days. His clean clothes that I brought in were never touched. Does this mean he was never washed up. I find this unacceptable and unhealthy. Also, the handling of him was not good. He was a very frail man with many issues but yet was put in a wheel chair with great force, which led to more complications. He was mentally and physically abused. Lastly, at mealtime they would not cut his food as he was unable to do it. Food was usually cold.

On August 6th I worked a 16 1/2 hour shift and on August 20th I had surgery and turned in a request form to use any paid time off I have and was approved by DON. When I returned on Sept. 3rd. Because they forgot to put me on schedule the administrator let me work a half of the day and then decided he wouldn't except my return to work form until I had his filled out by surgeon and sent me home. When I received my pay stub for the few hours I then realized he decreased my hourly wage by $2 without me knowing or being notified. I have called and left messages for acting administrator to call me several times with no return call. Have texted building HR Julia and regional HR Janet. Have text and called acting DON April even social worker Whitney. This week I have left messages for Shawn Eddy to call me and again no return calls. Another Genesis employee told me to try this last resort. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME figure out what I have done to make professionals not return my calls.

Admitted at 1930 4/23/19 fell out of bed at 330am 4/24/19. Called me the sister /DPA at 445 am and told of fall but never notified a doctor. Never have pain meds.never got xrays. I called numerous times for updates and spoke with my sister who said she was in excruciating pain and never saw a doctor for nearly twelve hours after incident! Director and assistant director negligent and had attitude and no apology and no answers. After I arrived at noon and demanded xrays and pain meds and ice and elevation of extremity over twelve hours later found to be broken! And we're on the way back to the hospital. This is gross negligence and delay of care and patient safety violations! Also put complaints in to the health department, JCAHO AND GIVEN reviews on several websites. This place needs to be shut down! Complete incompetence and disregard for human life! See you in court!

April 3, 2019. Facility HR shares employee information with other employees, talks about employees in a negative light, often reading from texts between her and other employees, name calling, and cursing. Employees are uncomfortable being placed in this situation and are reluctant to report to upper management. Employees are aware of the fact that this is a frequent occurrence but feel there is no safe outreach.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
unjustified termination
A family member came to the center and expressed that he sold his mother ‘s house! His mother is a current patient for the 3rd time. The family dynamic is a little off. The patient has a estranged daughter who is highly intelligent but seriously mentally disturbed. At this point there are two sons Listed on HIPPA and her husband. All three expressed that everything they wanted was removed from the house. Now that the house is sold they are on a time fame to clean it out. Myself and another long time employee of 18 years were asked if we could help box the stuff up for the good will and or garbage! In return daughter calls the hotline and stated a bowl was taken! In result after out administrator has a guess service director call for a statement, we are fired! Sue the fact we supposedly received a gift! There were 3 other family members present that no one contacted! Lehigh Center does not and will back up their own!
I went to Genesis on a Tuesday to be seen on emergency basis at 4:00 in the morning on a Tuesday I was In a exstream pain in my shoulders and my upper chest I was seen by an RN when she walked in the room she said she forgot who she was going to see which that made me uncomfortable to begin with and in my almost two and a half hours that I was there the care provider offered me no relief for my pain even though I had told her that I had taken pain medicine that was not helping me the only thing that she offered me was ibuprofen and she didn't until I complained and complained to the nurse she ordered an x-ray when I was in fear that it may be something going on with my heart it was pain that I had never experienced before and I felt like I was disregarded she acted like she had better things to do she was rude with her questioning and didn't listen to any of my answers and I don't feel like my problems were addressed I also was not even slightly help with my pain and as I was leaving and told her I was not happy with the services she tried to deny me my paperwork to go back to work and I myself work in the healthcare system she told me it wasn't her problem. I have had slightly bad experiences with Genesis in the past but I myself now after this experience no matter what the situation for my family loved ones will never ever use Genesis again we will now be all transferring to Trinity it is unfortunate that staff like herself are in the emergency department during times so hard on our community's such as COVID-19 i hope that these concerned are addressed as I felt irrelevant as if I did not matter and my concerns were nothing she offered that I should have went to the walk-in clinic even though I had been up all night and excruciating pain and had to go to work today and did not get any kind of help or answers she was searching for things that I did not even see to be a problem sincerely Nicole Miller
a certain employee
I have gone to my director of nursing several time about another employee who has been bullying me for months. Nothing is being done and it has gone so far that this employee is making accusations about me to my supervisor and my supervisor is breathing down my neck. I understand that if im doing nothing wrong then i should have no problen with my supervisor following me and let me express that i do not have a problem with it, but this is torture
This makes for a very unhealthy work place and i have started to look for another job due to being so unhappy because of the things this employee has been doing over the last few months. The employees name is Kathy Wilbur. She is also the senior aide on our hall on 2nd shift.
