Good Dog Good Dog: The Ultimate Resource for Finding Ethical Breeders & Healthy Puppies

If you are a dog lover, then you know how important it is to get your furry friend from a reputable breeder who cares about the health and wellbeing of their dogs. Unfortunately, it's not always easy to find the right breeder who meets these criteria. Enter Good Dog.

Good Dog is a remarkable resource that benefits both breeders and puppy buyers. But what makes Good Dog stand out from the crowd? In a nutshell, Good Dog takes all the work out of verifying that breeders are ethical, responsible, and breeding healthy dogs by rigorously vetting them before allowing them to join the platform.

But it's not just the breeders who benefit; Good Dog also makes things easy for puppy buyers. The entire transaction can be done through Good Dog, from browsing to payment. No more worrying about shady payment methods or dealing with unresponsive breeders.

But that's not all. Good Dog offers many tools and resources to their breeders, including but not limited to monthly discounts, education, webinars with veterinarians, and reproductive specialists. These resources help breeders become better informed and more effective at what they do, ultimately leading to healthier dogs.

In short, Good Dog is a godsend for anyone interested in getting a healthy puppy from a responsible breeder. With Good Dog, you can know for sure that you're not supporting puppy mills and that you're getting a puppy from a breeder who is experienced, caring, and dedicated to producing healthy, happy dogs. Good Dog Mixed Feelings About My Experience Purchasing a Puppy from Gooddog.com

I recently purchased a puppy from gooddog.com, previously known as RNA Cockers, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. First of all, I must say that the breeder, Natilie Ramirez, was very accommodating and responsive before I made the purchase. She would send me pictures and even answer all my questions over the phone. However, I soon found out that a lot had changed in two weeks' time; the website, the name of the breeder, everything seemed different.

After receiving my puppy, I had to immediately take her to my vet for a check up. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with ear mites and worms, which came as a huge surprise since the breeder had informed me that the puppy had been to her vet prior to the sale. Understandably, I was worried and upset about the situation and reached out to the breeder for assistance.

Unfortunately, despite my attempts at communication, the breeder has been unresponsive about reimbursing me for the vet bill I incurred. I paid $1300 for my puppy and the vet bills amounted to $120, which I feel is a reasonable expense that the breeder should have taken care of. I have tried texting her to no avail, and this has left me feeling a bit uneasy about the entire situation.

Overall, I do believe that gooddog.com has some reputable breeders and beautiful puppies. However, based on my personal experience, I would advise anyone considering purchasing a puppy to be aware of their choices and to proceed with caution. It is important to research the breeder thoroughly and ask questions before committing to a purchase.

Good Dog Review: Good Dog Breeders - Not as Good as They Claim to be

I came across Good Dog, a website claiming to be a platform for connecting potential dog owners with reputable and ethical breeders. My initial impression of the website, however, was not good at all. It seemed nothing more than a glorified version of another breeder listing website called Lancaster Puppies. I was appalled to see that Good Dog's vetting process for their breeders largely relied on self-reporting, as all they ask for is a simple questionnaire. It made me worried that breeders might lie and not provide accurate information about their practices. Additionally, their telephone interview merely consists of 10 questions, and the person conducting the interview sounded inexperienced, possibly only 17 years of age. Compared to other more stringent programs like the AKC Breeder of Merit program which includes personal inspections, the information gathering process at Good Dog seemed insufficient. I was deeply disappointed in the breeders they featured. Frankly, I would be embarrassed to be listed on their site. Unfortunately, I believe the breeders on Good Dog are nothing more than glorified brokers. If you're looking for a trustworthy site to find a dog breeder, I would recommend going to the official AKC website instead. There, you can easily search for AKC Breeders of Merit by state and by breed. Rest assured, you will find a much safer and accurate resource for connecting with reputable and responsible breeders.

Good Dog Review of Good Dog's Breeder Verification Process and Limitations

As someone who is passionate about responsible dog breeding, I was initially excited to come across Good Dog's website. However, upon further investigation, I found a few concerning issues that I believe are worth mentioning in this review.

One of the key factors that determines a reputable breeder is the number of health tests that they perform on their breeding dogs. Good Dog does have a system in place that rates breeders as "excellent" or "good" based on their health testing practices. However, it's important to note that this rating system only takes into account the health tests and does not verify whether the breeder is actually breeding the specific breed they claim to be.

This brings me to another issue that I discovered while using Good Dog's website - the lack of registration certificate verifications. If Good Dog is going to state on their website that a breeder is breeding a certain purebred dog, they should take the steps necessary to confirm the registration certificates of the dogs. Unfortunately, when I reached out to Good Dog about this concern, I was told that they only check health certificates and cannot verify registration certificates.

While Good Dog can still be a useful tool for those looking to adopt a dog, it's important to exercise caution when screening breeders on their site. I would recommend confirming the sire and dam's registration certificates with a reputable breed club and double-checking the breed designation before making a final decision.

Overall, I wish that Good Dog had a more thorough verification process in place, but I understand that they have limitations that prevent them from doing so. As a dog lover, my hope is that all breeders prioritize the health and well-being of their dogs above all else, and that websites like Good Dog can continue to support responsible breeding practices. Good luck to anyone using Good Dog to find their new furry companion!

Good Dog Good Dog Connects Passionate Breeder with Loving Families

As a passionate breeder of fine Chihuahuas, I take great pride in the health of my dogs, their pedigrees, and their sweet dispositions. It is my love for them that drives my commitment to making great matches and placing my puppies in homes where they will be cherished for life.

Enter Good Dog. When they recognized my breeding practices and my business practices, I was thrilled. Even though I was confident in my own vetting process, Good Dog was able to bring me even more qualified, pre-vetted buyers from across the nation. Not only did this allow me to expand my business, but it also provided seamless funds transfer – a much appreciated aspect that made the transaction process much smoother.

With these qualified buyers came something unexpectedly wonderful. My puppy buyers became like family. As the “Grampa” to my puppies, I now receive a steady stream of photos and updates on how they are doing. It fills my heart with joy to see my little babies growing up, wearing warm sweaters, having steak at their new family’s favorite steakhouse, all snuggled up in the blanket I gave them. And the videos of my happy little pups going on their “zoomies” bring a smile to my face every time.

Good Dog has truly excelled in the things that matter most to me – the welfare of my puppies, for life. Their commitment to connecting me with qualified buyers who will truly love and care for my puppies is unparalleled. I am grateful for their role in expanding my business and for the wonderful extended family they have brought into my life.

Good Dog Good Dog's Screening Process: Profit Over Quality Assurances

Upon reviewing Good Dog's website, I found that their application process is quite detailed, yet not comprehensive enough to include top-notch breeders. While I am qualified to become an excellent breeder according to their standards, I find their criteria questionable since they allow large commercial breeders to be classified as "excellent". Additionally, I was disappointed to find that their health testing standards are below the minimum testing requirements set by breed clubs. As a result, their idea of "excellent" does not mean much at all.

Furthermore, Good Dog claims to screen breeders, but I found that their screening process is not very strict as they are hesitant to restrict who is listed on their site to potentially increase sales. This concerns me because they certify breeders who do not perform the minimum level of recommended testing or show an interest in improving their breed, which undermines their purpose of being a brokerage service for pet lovers.

As a potential buyer, I advise caution as Good Dog seems to prioritize profits over quality assurances. Instead, I recommend consulting with breed clubs for breeder recommendations as they place a greater emphasis on the health and welfare of the breed. Ultimately, Good Dog is simply facilitating a sale and receiving a percentage of the sale price, much like Petland.

In conclusion, while Good Dog's website may seem appealing at first glance, their standards fall short of what I would consider credible and reliable. As a dog lover, I expect more from those who claim to promote and facilitate the betterment of our furry friends.

Good Dog Mixed Feelings about Good Dog: A Platform for Reputable Breeders

Based on our experience, we had mixed feelings about Good Dog, a platform that connects potential dog owners with reputable breeders. While we appreciate that the breeders on this platform are held to high standards when it comes to breeding for health and genetics, we found that there are plenty of other great breeders out there who are not on Good Dog and are more affordable.

Our experience with our chosen breeder on Good Dog was disappointing. Despite being told that we were on a waitlist, we were consistently overlooked for the second litter we were interested in. When we inquired about it, we were given vague responses and eventually found out that other people were being allowed to skip ahead of us in line for choosing a puppy. This left a sour taste in our mouth and made us question the credibility of the platform. Additionally, the $500 deposit we had to give to secure a mini Aussie, plus the $40 fee to Good Dog, seemed excessive, especially considering the lackluster service we received.

As we continued our search for a breeder, we came across an alternative outside of Good Dog and it turned out to be a much better experience. The breeder was communicative and professional, and charged much less for the deposit and overall price of the puppy. We even discovered that this breeder used to be on Good Dog, but chose to leave for unknown reasons.

While we do acknowledge the benefits of Good Dog’s platform, we feel that it could improve its policies to be more balanced between protecting breeders and customers. We also recommend doing thorough research and exploring alternative options before committing to a breeder on Good Dog.

Good Dog Good Dog Review: Improving Breeding Standards and Connecting Passionate Individuals

As a breeder of Shiba Inu, we at Shomaisou Shiba Inu have been associated with Good Dog since February 2019, and we can confidently say that it has been a game-changer for us. Good Dog is not just any online platform for breeders and buyers to connect but a community of passionate individuals striving towards the common goal of improving the breeding standards and experiences of all involved.

What makes Good Dog stand out is their commitment to learning from breeders and continuously improving their services based on their feedback. For us, one of the most critical requirements in a good breeder is health testing, and it is heartening to see that Good Dog requires all breeders to perform this testing on their breeding dogs.

Moreover, the ease of the application process has made our lives so much more manageable. Good Dog's efficient management of applications not only saves us time and effort, but it has also elevated the quality of our interactions with potential buyers.

Other features that we appreciate on Good Dog include their mediation services, contract templates, code of ethics, and breeder and buyer education. Their webinars, featuring some of the most respected people in the breeder community, have been a valuable resource for us, helping us stay updated on the latest trends and practices in the industry.

As a result of our association with Good Dog, we have seen a significant increase in the volume and quality of applications we receive for both puppies and adult dogs. In fact, we are often unable to process them all, and we have had to pause applications. The quality of the buyers is just as crucial to us as that of our dogs, and the fact that Good Dog attracts better quality buyers is a huge plus.

We are also impressed by Good Dog's partnerships with clubs and grants that help improve dog breeding. We were fortunate enough to utilize their grant to sponsor the enrollment of dogs into a genetic study of glaucoma in the Shiba Inu at Penn Vet, University of Pennsylvania.

In conclusion, we cannot say enough good things about Good Dog. It has been an integral part of our operations, and we cannot imagine running our kennels without it. We thank Good Dog for their contribution to the breeder community and their commitment to improving the lives of dogs and their owners.

Good Dog GoodDog.com: My Disappointing and Frustrating Experience with "Certified" Breeders

As a consumer who values the welfare of animals, my experience with Good Dog was a severe disappointment. Though they claim to promote responsible animal breeding by endorsing "Certified Good Breeders," my personal experience proves that their "certification" process cannot be relied upon. I purchased a puppy from one of their "certified" breeders, only to discover that the creature was infected with parvo upon arrival. Additionally, the breeder had misled me with false information during the purchase.

Naturally, I contacted Good Dog to report this breach of trust, only to receive a lackluster and unhelpful response. Despite claiming to have conducted an investigation, their subsequent actions displayed little initiative in rectifying the situation. The breeder was only asked a few questions, and was found to have refunded my purchase price due to the parvo infection. While this may have been considered acceptable by some, a responsible and compassionate breeder would have taken on the responsibility of caring for the puppy and assisting with its medical bills. Unfortunately, as a result of the breeder's neglect, I am now faced with ongoing vet fees and the probability of lifelong gastrointestinal issues for my furry friend.

My frustrations with Good Dog were further exacerbated when I discovered that the breeder had fabricated positive reviews online, with the fraudulent posts appearing to be written by me. This is not only dishonest, but also illegal - an aspect that Good Dog appeared to overlook. Despite repeated attempts to contact them about this situation, my grievances were met with silence.

Even worse, the breeder was able to evade negative feedback by simply renaming their account, thereby falsely advertising their services. Despite repeated attempts to alert Good Dog to this fact, the breeder is listed as a "Certified Good Breeder" even to this day - over six weeks after my initial complaint.

Furthermore, it is worth noting that the breeder even took down their own website and Facebook page, recognizing the severity of their actions. However, Good Dog continues to endorse them with their "certification" process. It is my belief that this process is nothing but a ploy to protect breeders, whether they are responsible or not. I urge fellow animal lovers not to place their trust in GoodDog.com.
