good's home furnishings is not good at all
good's home furnishings is not good at all. they have bad customer service and delivery is a nightmare. there are other places to buy furniture that are better. don't risk it with them.
Had a prob with the stuff we got from Good's Home Furnishings but it wasn't their fault
Had a prob with the stuff we got from Good's Home Furnishings but it wasn't their fault. Jennifer from customer service was super dope and helped us out big time. She made sure everything was fixed up and we were happy with the outcome.
Good's Home Furnishings gave me a quote for a bunch of furniture worth a few thousand bucks
Good's Home Furnishings gave me a quote for a bunch of furniture worth a few thousand bucks. But when I tried to buy it a couple of hours later, they didn't wanna stick to the quote they sent me by email just three hours ago.
Drove 1 hr to Hickory
Drove 1 hr to Hickory. Went to Goods Home Furnishings, picked out a kitchen table with chairs, got a handwritten quote, went back a few days later, showed the handwritten quote and was told they wouldn't honor it. That was it, no more business with them.
I bought something online from Good's Home Furnishings and the customer service was great
I bought something online from Good's Home Furnishings and the customer service was great. They said the thing was "in stock" and would ship fast. I know furniture can take a while to get, so I was happy to get a desk I liked that was in stock. But now it's been a month and a half and I've been given a bunch of excuses. I have to start all the conversations. They won't give me any idea of when it will ship. They just say "you'll know when it gets there." I don't think I'll ever get the desk. I wouldn't recommend this company. I think I wasted my money and won't get anything.
I bought a lot of furniture from Goods Home Furnishings and I'm an interior designer who works with many companies
I bought a lot of furniture from Goods Home Furnishings and I'm an interior designer who works with many companies. I was worried when they sent a nightstand that got stopped in customs, but they pushed it through and delivered it to my house. Unfortunately, there was a termite living in it for a while, so it was already damaged when it arrived. This is against US codes and regulations. Their customer service department isn't very helpful either. The sales associate who took my order conveniently became unavailable when I had issues. They sent an email saying they were out of the office for many days, but they never resolved my issues or gave me a refund. They kept the 100% down payment I gave them, even though most companies charge when items ship.
Watch out when buying from Good's Home Furnishings
Watch out when buying from Good's Home Furnishings. I got a Bernhardt couch that cost me a lot, but it came with issues that are still there today. I emailed the salesperson right away, and they brought in a customer service rep. He told me to use a stiff brush to fix the defects and wait for the upholstery to acclimate. I was skeptical, but they said they would fix it if it didn't work. After trying their suggestions and waiting, I still have creases in two of the cushions. They told me it's normal and there's nothing they can do. No phone calls, no visit, no fix. Just "you got what you got." Be careful when buying from this company and inspect everything closely. Don't believe the "furniture needs time to acclimate" excuse.

I bought a table from Good's Home Furnishings and they brought it to my house but it was messed up
I bought a table from Good's Home Furnishings and they brought it to my house but it was messed up. I said no thanks and the delivery people wouldn't leave it with me because it was messed up. Now they won't get me a new one.
I got a bedroom set from Good's Home Furnishings in Feb 2021 and it came in June
I got a bedroom set from Good's Home Furnishings in Feb 2021 and it came in June . When we got it, we checked it out and saw that one of the nightstands had a little ding and scratch. We told the trucking company and made them write it down on the freight bill. We talked to our salesperson at Good's Home Furnishings and she said we could get $200 cash or the trucking company could take the messed up piece and fix it themselves. We didn't like either of those options. We paid $7,527.33 for the furniture and it was custom made, so we had to wait four months for it. We didn't want $200, we just wanted the furniture to be in good shape. There's more to the story but I don't have enough space.
I bought a big couch from Good's Home Furnishings on January 4th for $10296.849 (plus $640 for delivery)
I bought a big couch from Good's Home Furnishings on January 4th for $10296.849 (plus $640 for delivery). It finally got here on April 23rd at 4:30pm. They said it would be a six piece couch with five recliners that work good and safe. But when it got here, I saw that the recliners don't work right and are dangerous (I even sent them a video and some pictures to show what's wrong). They suck in the cushions and anything else that's in the way when they fold up. They offered to take the couch back and leave me with no place to sit, or to give me harder cushions that will still get sucked in, or to take one piece at a time to fix it (which means lots of deliveries and pickups during the pandemic over the next few months). I asked for my money back a bunch of times, but the customer service guy (Matt Robillard) only said he'd try to get me a refund. But the company won't give me my money back for this messed up couch.

We bought a sofa and chair with an ottoman from Good's Home Furnishings on 8/27
We bought a sofa and chair with an ottoman from Good's Home Furnishings on 8/27. They said it would take 3-5 months to deliver and we had to pay $385 for shipping. We paid in full. We got our order on 4/28/22, but the shipping cost went up to $538. The sofa and ottoman were the right leather, but the chair was not. We tried to return the chair and ottoman, but they said no. We argued for 45 minutes. It's now 6/14 and we still don't have the right chair. They keep giving us different stories about where it is. We want to complain, but they haven't offered any compensation for the long wait.
I bought a Cabana Coast patio table and chairs from Good's Home Furnishings on 1/20
I bought a Cabana Coast patio table and chairs from Good's Home Furnishings on 1/20. The furniture was delivered on 3/18, and I paid the delivery fee in cash and signed the form they gave me. I thought I was signing for cash delivery payment and receipt of delivery, but I wasn't told that I was supposed to sign after inspecting the furniture. Within 30 minutes after delivery, I noticed a couple of nicks/chips in the table finish. I immediately took pictures of the damage and emailed Good's right away to alert them of the issue. Sarah Brooks from Good's Customer Service contacted me and offered me $50 to repair the damage myself. I was concerned about the furniture warranty and was not comfortable performing the repair myself. Sarah gave me the Furniture hotline number to find a local repair person. I called the referred local repair person, but he advised that just the service fee was $125 - this is BEFORE any repair is even performed! So, the $50 offered by Sarah is not sufficient to even cover a service call!
I went to Good's Home Furnishings and met a sales rep named Royston D***
I went to Good's Home Furnishings and met a sales rep named Royston D. She gave me a quote for a bedroom set and said that delivery would take 4-8 weeks. I called her on 11/05 and made a purchase for 1 queen bed set, 1 dresser, 1 nightstand, and 1 mirror. After my purchase, I waited more than 3 business days to receive a follow-up call from Ms. D. I called her myself about 1 week after purchase to see if she could provide us with more details surrounding our expected delivery. She informed me no information has been provided to her regarding my recent order, but to wait a few more days. 3 weeks later, I received a call from Ms. D and she informed me that the product will not be delivered to their store until late February. I was very dissatisfied and asked her what happened to the 4 - 8 week she gave us in-store? She informed me that due to Covid, things are delayed more than ever. I asked her if there could be any concession provided to me due to my money already being taken from me, with nothing in return. She informed me that she would send an email and follow up. She did reply to me via email and informed me again, due to Covid there are many delays and to be patient. I then contacted the Corporate office via phone and left a voice message. Still, no one has returned my call. I recently received a follow-up email from Ms. D on 1/18 informing me that my order is expected to be delivered to their store on 4/1. Nearly 5 months after my purchase. I believe this is terrible business. First the sales representative provided false information (4 - 8 week delivery window when in reality it is more like 4 - 8 MONTH delivery window). And secondly, if I pay a business for a product, I expect to receive my product in-hand or within the provided expected date. They failed miserably at this exchange. My money is gone and I am left with NOTHING in return.
