Hotel reservation
This is the hotel that government vacation rewards sideways are three star in Pensacola Florida as you can see me and my family decided it probably wasn't in our best interest to stay there now they won't give us a refund claiming that the hotel is a nice safe clean place to stay I just thought everybody would like to see the pictures and make their decision as to whether they wanted to use government vacation rewards to book anything in the future.
We booked the super 6 hotel for july 28, 29 and 30th in Pensacola Florida.
This hotel was listed as 3 star on their website, with pictures that show it as nice and clean. We arrived and immediately decided to not stay there.
Desired outcome: Refund
Paid for flight using points and have not received my refund for the points I used.
I previously had 100K points and I used 50K for a flight to Los Cabos, Mexico in Nov (Luxe Jazz fest).
It has been almost 3 or more months and I have not received my $500 check yet.
I have called several times and I've been told that they are sending the check. The last call on 9 Aug 21, supposedly, there is something wrong and they have been trying to reach me; However, the young lady, AIFA, could not tell me what the problem was. First, of all, I could not believe that they would not price match.
I am very disappointed and would like to know if there is any recourse that I can take besides getting my check sent to me?
Very poor customer resolution in attempting to get answers. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told there weren't any around.

Desired outcome: Obtain my check and a reduction of the ticket price.
That's what they do. They need to be shutdown for fraud all the way around.
Poor customer service and being lied too is not right towards us a your customers by your Staff
I am writing in concern that we have been trying to book my wife's birthday trip in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Palazzo Hotel and Resort.
We spoke with Mr. Jerry yesterday, and he said he would call us back after he converted 50k points to rewards cash to put towards our stay. We have not heard back from him in about 22 hours, and now we have been on the phone for close to two hours with a representative named Hasley.
He keeps bouncing me and my wife around with needless information. "Just hold on I'll be right back, I'm looking into it, my supervisor refuses to speak with you and will not give you their name. Hasely has refused to give the supervisor their name and stated he is not lying.
Well, one... as an Intelligence Officer; when someone says they are not lying and beating around the bush. 'They are lying!.' Pretty simple and straightforward. If there is any way you can assist me and my wife we would be absolutely grateful. But I'm sure you would not like to be treated this way and it is very frustrating at the least. Additionally, it's a recorded line.
Please feel free to contact me anytime.
Desired outcome: Would like to have this resolved and have our booking still available. We have to book 2 months in advance for days off due to work.
The lying thing, passing you around endlessly, extensions that don't work, and not giving supervisor/manager names (or extensions that work) is why I don't want to be part of GVR at all. Good luck to you, as to me.
Membership package
Spoke with Ryan Ruedal, on June 12, in regards to a membership package. After speaking with him we put a debit card on a file for a furtive debit, for July 30, while we looked at another avenue for travel. We discovered that we already had the same program already paid for through another company. I called the customer service to revoke the card on file for future hold. The gentleman informed me that we had ten days to review the program, I called in two. He then begin to try to get us to wait out the time so that the ten days would go by. I asked the customer service representative to remove my card, he told me he could not; I would have to speak with the Ryan. Well I've called Ryan serval times, and I've gotten no answer. We had to get a new card, and close the account because they refuse to honor the right of the consumer to resend before ten days. We will not consider this company ever again, not trustworthy.
Desired outcome: Remove my card on file
Vacation cash
I booked a hotel Reservation in September 2020, they took my points which I paid for and converted it to cash of $750 to make the reservation, while still on the phone, I read the reviews on the hotel, I canceled and switched to another Hotel, was told that my point/cash will be refunded back into my account within 30 days. It never happened, I have been calling for the past one month as I needed to make a vacation reservation with the points and was told yesterday that I have lost the points/ cash. I tried calling twice today and I keep getting disconnected.
They are fraud and thieves: I have paid more than $2000 in membership.
Desired outcome: Refund my vacation cash
Denied refund on AAFES account
Our AAFES card was charged multiple times during the trial period. The initial paperwork was never provided within the initial 10 day period as requested. The sales associate admitted that she was new on the recorded call and that she did not provide the requested items. I was not permitted to cancel the program even after it was requested repeatedly. AAFES did not provide support and has since stopped all business with the company yet continues to bill us. AAFES left us to fight the charges and we have been sent back and forth between them without resolve. We did not receive services and retirement pay has been garnered to pay on the AAFES charges we did not approve. A letter was sent per AAFES request requesting cancellation in addition to many calls to no avail. We have been harassed and now our credit rating and security clearances are being jeopardized. GVT needs to be shut down permanently for fraud. I want all financial charges dropped. AAFES also needs to credit our account for the garnishments.
They assisted with one reservation during a trial period and then did not provide the credits they presented during the signup which is fraud.
Desired outcome: Cancellation of any and all contracts/ plans as requested, credit reports updated and a refund for the retirement garnishments returned to our AAFES account
WOW, unreal!
Travel Membership
On January 26th I made a down payment on membership renewal was told I had 10 days to cancel with full refund. Due to some personal issues I called and canceled 28th January with a full refund. I have called Juan Mora and Bobby Hill for 2 months with no resolution. Both states you will receive full refund and it has been pass to Supervisor to issue still no refund. Now I don't even get an answer now I feel like I was scammed
Desired outcome: Full Refund
All services
I paid into this program for its services and was always given a run around, to which I was never able to use. So I lost all that money. Now they're trying to sell me another package and I just want my money back at this point. I am always told it is too late, but it cant be too late if they are still trying to take more of my money!
Desired outcome: My money back - Full Refund
Reserved 2 Hotel Rooms and Paid with Military Star Card
On September 19, 2019 I told my husband, Lisandro Lopez Martinez, to check for a site that I saw where we can use the Military Star Card (MSC) to buy flights, reserve hotel rooms, and others. He understood that GVR was a good company and paid for the subscription $199.00. It was going to be at my name, Silbia Gonzalez, because I am the owner of the MSC. On Sep 21st of that same year, we made 2 transactions with GVR and bought in total 6 ticket flights to Atlanta, Georgia using Delta Air Lines .The first transaction was for $287.20 ( Booked ID: [protected] and in GVR's site says: $237.20) and the second one was for $890.36 (Booked ID: 1189240 and in GVR's site says: $790.36).We see here that there is an overcharged for my MSC of $200. On Oct. 9th, we bought with GVR and booked for 2 rooms in Hotel Baymont by Wyndham Columbia Northwest: a king suit for $271.42 and the second room for $206.33. Also, on Oct 19th my MSC was charged with $11.12 which I do not what it was because it does not appear that amount in my documents, only in my account summary of MCS. On October 2020, I started receiving emails and calls that my account with GVR was going to be cancelled and checked my account and it is extended to 2021. On October 2020, I decided to take a call from them and ask why a man was calling me about my account, and a woman told me that, according with GVR's info, I have to pay $400. Well, because I am in the process of a divorce, I told myself that maybe my husband missed something. So, I agreed to make payments of $76.38 each month until the amount requested was paid in full. On January 21, 2021 I decided to call GVR and paid the final amount and why my payments are not reflected in my account. He told me that that is strange but I have to pay $900. I was complaining that the company was a scam one and he said that the manager was going to talk with me. Later, I called MSC and saw that GVR's reservations was paid with my MSC. My husband/or ex husband (not sure if it is official yet) called today to GVR and he waited for 40 minutes in hold and nobody took the call.
Desired outcome: I want that GVR stop bothering me and that this company be out of circulation because it uses the military's name as a catchy form.

My wife and I can't travel now because of covid19 and my heart surgery in june.
I received a call from your Florida on April 14th 2020. She sold me a plan for 199.00 down. I was to pay 1600.00 total. Because of my heart surgery and the Covid19 I will not be able to travel for some time if ever again. I would like to cancel this account and if possible get a refund. I could use the money for other expenses right now. I am sorry to have caused you any inconvenience this Covid19 has really changed our lives.
I never received any paper work so the above is all that I have.
To date I have payed 853.00.
I have spoken to Manny I think he is in the Scottsdale office. He is on vacation.

Flights
Why do I have to pay $25.00 to use my points? Also I was booked a round trip from San Antonio to Charleston, SC. The representative took so long to book the flight that it increased by the time I "cashed in" my points. So the flight increased from S567.00 to $635.00. That's ridiculous! The booking process is broken. It takes an eternity to book a flight I...

I signed up for this in May and was told by Lance that I could go anywhere for approximately $99-399 for a full week. Also that the membership cost was $1600. I put down $199 and pay $125 per month for 12 months but whenever I went to try to see about going on a vacation somewhere, the site tells me that they have nothing. I want to cancel this and if...

I booked a cruise with this company in August of 2019 for sailing in March of 2020. I booked and placed the down payment on my Military Star card with the balance of the cruise to be charged to my Military Star card in January of 2020. When I went to check-in for my cruise, much to my surprise, my booking number wasn't any good. When I contacted the cruise...
Read full review of Government Vacation Rewardsreservations/airline tickets/car rental
I have been doubled charged. I have had wrong tickets bought and never refunded. I've been double charged for car rentals that don't match up to my receipt. I have a missing reservation because our credit went over limit because all of the fraudulent charges not refunded. I have talked to Jerry. I have talked to someone every day since Monday trying to rectify all of the mistakes. Today I found out my second reservation is not confirmed because my credit card has not been refunded the $3000 in mistakes and I have been doubled charged for car rental twice with two different amounts. I don't know what is going on. My account is a mess. All I want is 4 airline tickets the same, 2 rooms at the same resort and a care rental for the same days. How hard is this to do?

unauthorized card charges
This inst our first booking with them. We have had issues with most of them that we have suffered through. This is the last time though. Ill go with a different company from now on. They do not offer the best deal. Military Star should change companies because their screwing people over. They charged my account without us even completing the booking process. No authorized person clicked the submit button for the hotel. They keep giving us the run around that its non refundable even though the hotels policy is within 24 hours of the booking and were over a month out. I will not book through them again. PS- They typically costs more and they don't disclose all the fees or include them in the room charge.

Everything in regards
Let me tell you guys the true frustration I have been dealing with the company. as same as the other sales, once they are trying sell you the products, they can reached out for 24/7 without any issues. after you got into it, paid the memberships fees, you will be treated as shixxxxxt. Their hotel and flight portal has never been updated and their customer service is very poor and 90% of the time, you will get hold with an Indian personnel for assisting you. Ironically, they put your account "on hold" (you can not log into your account ever) as they want because you dispute a charge. My story: I booked a hotel in Paris ($570) in August 2019. The advertising says it will fit 5 people. However, when we arrived the hotel, the hotel manager informed us the room can only fit 4 people. Therefore, I have to ask refund to that booking. the customer service informed me my account has been locked because I disputed the charges. I remember that I spent 2500 dollars enrolling the membership, now because of this 570, they attempted to close my account, can you imagine what kind of business we are dealing with? I am glad they are doing this to make me finally get away from them. I believe there are many better travel company out there. Please do your own research before they get you deeply.
travel discounts
Offering travel discounts to military retirees and veterans that are not discounted they say you have $250.00 in credit then tell you that it's not real money you get about 10% off your trip not including air travel this whole company is saying they are pat of the department of defense and then tell you they are not really connected to the DOD or the Government they are a scam

air booking fraud
Book a flight via Alaska airlines. Prior to submitting payment I was reading the booking policy it clearly stated REFUNDABLE so I was confident that this flight is protected. After a week I've called this company asking them to cancelled this flight due to I am changing departure location, and was told that this flight is non-refundable. When I told them that I read the fine print that this flight is indeed refundable upon submitting my payment. The customer rep was asking me if I have the proof stating it? then to proceed educating me that I should had read the booking policy. So if you are booking flight with company please take a picture of the policy before you proceed with payment.

3-star hotel that is NOT! I'd hate to see what 1-2 stars would get you. I've been to 3-star hotels in the middle of nowhere while traveling by car, and they are far better than that. I'd say 2-stars for being clean, but 1-star for looking like a dump of a motel.
