My complaint is concerning the accommodations we were given when taking our "FREE" 2 night 3 day vacation for watching a Rainbow vacuum cleaner Demo. We were placed in a hotel in Daytone Beach called Castaways that was in the middle of a row of hotels that were boarded up. This place was a DUMP! I went to Daytona with mid level expectations as far as the place they would put us in (something like a Days Inn maybe). Boy was that a joke. This place looked like it was lifted from the Ghetto and placed on the beach. Homemade bed frames, mold in the shower, looked like vomit in the bottom of the trash can, just plain NASTY! We were offer a free upgrade when we arrived at the check in facility 6 miles from this dump, if we sat through a 1.5 hour time share spill. I had drove 8 hrs with my family and was in no mood for something I had no interest in. We were told the hotel was not scary by the lady at the check in facility. That was a plain Lie. We tried to contact her the remainder of the time there, but we only had 2 full days to enjoy ourselves so we didn't waste our time going back to the office. We went down the street and checked into another hotel for our trip as we were afraid we would catch a disease if we stayed at Castaways. Although I don't directly blame the rainbow vacuum cleaner company, they don't seem to care who they associate themselves with. We had to give a $50 dollar deposit which is supposed to be refunded after our stay. That remains to be seen. I will run from anything that has Grand Incentives name on it in the future and would advise everyone else to do the same.
I'm sorry, but if it sounds too good to be true, it's too good to be true. A free vacation for watching a demonstration? I would be surprised if it turned out to be a nice place to stay. Never take a free vacation.
I would definitely hold Rainbow responsible. They know what they're doing. They are using Worldwide Travel Center now. Same kind of scam. Also, for listening to an obnoxious, extremely long demonstration for an outrageously expensive vacuum cleaner is worth the gift as advertised. They should consider it in their advertising budget.
Thanks for taking the time to write this. I, too received this "free" Grand Incentives travel voucher and filled out info on-line. I got this after sitting through a demonstration from a cookware salesman who tried to sell us outrageously expensive pots and pans! I feel hesitant about the fact you don't know your hotel or destination BEFORE you send in the $50 deposit! They can put you anywhere! That's just shady to me. After hearing these comments, I'm keeping my money and planning my own vacation!
I searched Grand Incentives after activating my voucher and BEFORE I sent the $50.00 and I have not seen any positive feedback at all, looks like everyone was scammed or disappointed, ironically, as I reached up to my desk, the paperwork for the last scam I DID fall for, called Certs Inc., which i activated two years ago today and still have not received a vacation or my $54.75, another scam, I had received that voucher from Rainbow Vacuum, and the Grand Incentives from a Timeshare presentation, will I ever learn? I think i just did! Thanks for the advice!
This company is bogus. I've filed a complaint with the FL attorney general and with our US attorney general. I've gotten the run around so many times trying to get a refund back from our deposit. After 3x of requesting and being denied because our "dates" were not available, I want a refund. THIS IS INSANE. Stay far away from these.
Is Grand Incentives now called Getaway USA? The terms and conditions seem the same. That's who Rainbow is using now. I can't find much information on Getaway.
