This company is a scam. I will never use them for anything ever again. I will also do my best to recommend that no one I know ever uses them. EVER!

Failed to provide billing for two months. Updated my address wrong twice in a row then reported on my credit for late payment. When the account was paid in full they refused to remove the late report from my credit.Terrible company would avoid at all costs.
I financed a family puppy through GAFCO in December. I chose the no interest if paid in full within the year. In January when I went to set up auto-payments I should have known I would have issues with this company. Instead of showing the actual balance due as well as the balance with interest it only shows the balance with interest. Anyways, I paid over double what was due to have the amount paid off well with in the year. By November my account was paid in full. Still the account manager listed an outstanding balance but with an updated due date of December 2022. The outstanding balance is the interest I would have owed had I not paid within the year. I didn't pay it much attention after my credit report showed the balance paid in full and the account closed. Fast forward to the end of January and my credit report is once again showing the account being open and only %74 paid off. While it is not showing my payments as being delinquent it is impacting my credit score by listing an additional account as well as claiming I still owe money. I tried several times to call the company only to be sent to a voicemail box notifying me customer service is unavailable. It is just ridiculous. My last resort is to send out an e-mail with my situation and hope someone from this company will be in contact with me. After reading these reviews and my experience so far with the company I'm not very hopeful. I'm not sure what else to do from here.
Absolute crooks! Called in months ago and spoke with Andre to offer a settlement payment to clear the debt. Was told everything was good and processed. Have been harassed and called for months now by everyone but Andre to collect on a debt that was already paid for! Liars. Scum. Crooks.

Very bad company,would not recommend using I financed some furniture 7/18 and paid off 2/20 was told it was paid in full even got a letter saying it was paid off over the next couple of months I would receive letters stating I still owed 300.00 I called twice and both times was ensured this account was paid in full and closed.on 5/20 I recieved a alert from my credit bureau stating my credit score had gone down 100 pts because I still owe 300.00 I called again and was told sorry we made a mistake now my credit has taken a hit and all they can say is it will take 30 45 days for this to be fixed,will never use this company again

OMG the worst company ever!
OMG the worst company ever! I was approved online, I thought I had made a purchase, never received an email confirmation, called Great American Finance, spoke with Mr *** the Supervisor, he stated my order didnt go through because my purchase was too low I have to charge $300.00 or more. I told him to cancel my account and send me a letter that reads that my account was cancelled and I owe no monies. I never received a letter confirming my account was cancelled, however on 9/18 I did receive a letter; stating my *** was due 9/28. I am terrified that this company will report delinquent payments to the *** and I never received any merchandise

Fraud. Scam. Loan sharking. I have no idea how this company is in business and has not had a class action lawsuit filed against them. How do you go about a class action lawsuit? I had my account from a furniture store set up on automatic payments. They added another line item to my *** 9 months later which increased my minimum payment. No big deal right? Wrong. They kept my minimum payment below the threshold which triggered their 27% interest. No calls no emails no mail even though they claimed they did. Nothing. Thankfully I had enough money to pay them off in full. If you are looking to finance go through a credit union for a personal loan or credit card. Youll end up paying twice what your furniture is worth with this *** of a company. Honestly, how are they in business?

Worst experience ever. I gave a call to get assistance with an approval for finance with the company. Granted, I mixed companies. My original approval from the company was with Ashley *** who after trying to buy furniture stated that they no longer work with the finance company. I went over to The Room Place who does. I assumed that as long as I had an approval it would be exchangeable. I called the office. Whoever they have on the phones representing to company was so cut throat. She was misleading. She wasnt allowing g me time to talk nor was she trying to hear me out. She even screamed at my regard when I asked for upper management. The absolute wrong people working with the public are the people the have answering the phones. The *** lady never gave me her name but Im sure the company knows who they have representing them between 11am- 11:15 am on October 8 I feel Im owed an apology at the very least and someone to work with my situation but dont brush me off like Im and ignorant person that doesnt know business. It was a horrible experience

It’s been a month since I paid off my account and still shows the balance due. I called every day and every time I got a different answer. I heard it’s in the review, the amount has to be adjusted by the supervisor/manager, and you will receive a paid-off letter by next week. I have been tired of calling you guys back and forth. Please I am requesting you respectfully to fix the account balance and make it zero reflecting paid off before I take legal advice.

I immediately checked my accounts and saw all of my payments two of which this company never sent confirmations for even though the funds were removed from my account. Before I called a representative called stating that my payment date had changed. I stated that was impossible because my contract is the 28th of early month and he said that is a illusion the payments are due on the fourth. I hung up on him due to him trying to get a payment for the fourth. I called the company and spoke to customer service who said she had no idea what that man was talking about. My due date was the 28th but then she stated that I missed my march payment. I insisted that I didn't but would check again. Sure enough my bank showed a payment made on March 8th. I called back but it rung about ten times then went to voicemail.
I purchased a mattress & a couch set for $1936.95. It was no interest if one item was paid off before 07/07/2022 & the other before 08/07/2022. I paid the whole amount on 06/31/2022. I logged into my account on that Monday it showed it was paid in full. I then logged on a couple days ago now it shows I owe $302. I called GAF & spoke to customer service the agent even said you are paid in full not sure where these charges are coming from. I purchased a bedroom set on a promotional 12 months same as cash, they intentionally set this up to the minimum payment which will not pay off this furniture within the time frame, this was not in the contract nor explained to me.
I purchased 3 items from *** Store, using NO INTEREST FINANCING thru Great American *** I have been charged interest multiple times for items that were PAID IN FULL. I have contacted *** numerous times regarding issue. *** Reps have advised no interest should have ever been charged I was then informed a ticket had been created with the *** and i would receive a Credit and a follow up. I have not ever received either. I was also informed, I would need to pay offthe FULL balance, majority of which is interest, to avoid accruing more interest. My account is PAID in full. However, i am still awaiting refund of all interest charges.

I called several more times and they never returned my call. In October I saw my credit score go down by almost 100 points. I found GAFCO was reporting me as late. I called and they said I owed 3 dollars and months worth of late fees because of all the interest between 2019 and the end of 2020. I gave them the payment info they said they would keep reporting late until their audit team corrected, I paid them the 75 dollars to stop the bleeding. They said their audit team would correct the credit report and remove the late payments from my account. I have called them and recorded more than 50 conversations where they say they will remove it. It IS NOT DONE

He stated he would refund my purchase which totaled to $2500.00 dollars which was financed through Great American Finance. They stated they sent Great American Finance an email on 3/3. I made a payment of $125.00 on Feb 25th 2021 which posted on Feb 26, 2021. I spoke with a representative at [protected] who stated that my available balance would be $2500.00 in credit and I would be refunded the $125.00 payment I made. I have not seen this amount credited back to my debit card and I have not seen the initial credit limited refunded. I have read hundreds of complaints of how this company is "slow" in the process. On my last statement closing on 3/6/2022, I had a balance of $1,165.24. I sent a payment in for the full amount before the due date of 3/27/2022. On 3/28/2022, I was sent a letter that stated that I had a small balance amount on my account. I think the amount was for $6.51. This was right when both of parents died so it took some time before I had a chance to sit and review my mail and make contact. I have called the number on the letter over 5 times and left messages for someone to call me back because I am sent to a voicemail since all customer representative are busy. This has been going on for over a month now. I would call wait a few days and call again. I have even tried to email support. I have not heard anything back from them. I do not mind paying the amount if I understand what it was for, but I can get no one to explain it to me. I do not want to send in payment and then have them turn around and request more.
Referencing Case with Ashley at Great American Finance, they provided financing for my purchase.
As previously mentioned in a case with Ashley, Great American Finance is the company that offered me the financing to buy the defective and incorrect furniture. When I received the pieces of furniture in February 2022, I immediately asked Ashley to pick up the furniture because the wrong canopy bed was sent and also, the furniture I received in both the living room and bedroom were severely damaged. Despite contacting Ashley within the 3 days required for a full refund, excuse upon excuse were given to never pick up my furniture. As already stated before in the case, the furniture was placed back into their boxes and delivered to the local Ashley store as already mentioned to the saleswoman who originally sold me the furniture. Great American Finance was notified of this several times and was told to stop contacting my cell phone for this debt that has already been resolved, yet their continued harassment ceases to keep on going. I am asking the Complaintsboard.com to contact this company and reflect on the consequences that can occur if this harassment continues for a debt that is no longer mine.

I called them Oct 19, to tell them they had the balance wrong and all I owed was $300 because I had been paying $100 per month. The pay off date was Oct 21 so they told me to pay the $300 that day or the next and they would submit an adjustment and it would be taken care of. They also told my daughter the same thing because she paid the payment with her debit card. So I got a *** Nov. 12, 2021, and it was still on there. I called the *** (Julias) back that I had talked to before and she said her manager had looked at it 2 weeks later and said it would take $125 more to close it out. So I told her she should have called me, so I told her I wanted to speak to the manager and I have yet to get to talk to one. And now shes telling me it will take $425.00 to close the account. I have called every number i could find and have still not talked to a manager. They put me on hold and never come back on the line. I am on a fixed income and I knew how much I could pay monthly and the payoff. I have a couple of other promotions through them and I am not paying another payment on the account in question. I would appreciate anything you can do to help me take care of this problem.

In late May I was in the process of purchasing a home. As it was winding down to get the clear to close I decided to conduct a soft pull of my credit report. I was shocked to find a purchase finance by Great American Finance on my credit report. I immediately called them and they transferred me to I guess the Fraud department. I spoke to a Mr. phone number is email is g***@castlecredit.com. He told me i needed to file a police report and send him by drivers license which I did on 5/28. He said he would investigate it and put a hold on the file so it would not affect my credit. After a few weeks of not hearing any thing I called him for a status update he said he is still working on it and that it would not affect my credit and that is should be deleted in the next few days. After noticing it still was not deleted I called again and did not receive a response. After several attempts I was transferred to Mr. and he again assured me that there was a hold on the file and it would not affect my credit. Fast forward to today my credit report suffered a 56 point drop due to a late payment. I have not had a late payment in over 20 years. This is unacceptable. I have done everything that was asked and I don't appreciate being mislead. This company is messing with my reputation and it's unacceptable!

In November I purchased furniture from a Room Place store. I decided to finance this purchase with GAFCO. My order was on back order for 3-4 months. My contract was cancelled and I was asked to complete a new contract. I reached out to this company several times via phone and email trying to obtain my contracts with them. Each time I was given the run around. I called the store that I purchased from and they told me to call GAFCO to obtain it. Once I reached out to GAFCO they told me to reach out to the store I purchased the furniture from. This has been going on since Feb. 9th 2022. I even emailed the legal team for GAFCO and was not successful and was also quoted false information. I was told to check my email and when I informed them that the document is no longer available in my portal. I was told there is really nothing else that can be sent. Which I know is a bold face lie. I am in the process of making a big purchase and I need to obtain these documents for this purpose. Majority of the time customer service reps are rude and are not able to help me resolve this issue. I recently requested another call back from their legal department and that turned out to be a complete waste of time. This account has done nothing but destroy my credit history. I am not pleased with they way they handle business and I would never recommend their services to anyone! They do extremely poor business.

The day it was to be delivered, the driver was disrespectful and urinated in our bathroom before unloading from the truck. After witnessing this, we asked them to leave and to cancel our order. Since March, we've been trying to cancel everything with the furniture company and Great American Finance, including messages and call logs. We've spent considerable time communicating with both companies during our workday, with no assistance from either. They are blaming each other for the issue. The delivery company is separate from the furniture store. The manager communicated with the store manager that we do not owe a delivery fee due to the driver's behavior and since we didn't receive any furniture or accessories. We're trying to resolve this to maintain my credit score, which has already been affected (photo included). Immediate resolution is needed. Thank You

In April I started a loan with GAF
In April I started a loan with GAF. The terms of the loan were that it be paid in 1 year with no interest. I completed the last loan payment in January . In January, February, March, and April I continued to received notices of a balance due. At each point I called the company to inquire and alert them to their error. They repeatedly told me they would fix it on their end and nothing further was needed from me. In March I spoke with a manager who provided me a paid-in-full letter. In April I spoke with another manager and specifically stated that I did not want this problem on their end to end up effecting my credit. On May 10, I was alerted by my credit bureau that my score had dropped 47 points due to a late payment being reported - from Great American Finance. I have never been late - in fact the account was closed in good standing in January. This is the exact problem I told them I did not want to happen and as a result it put my current process of purchasing a home in jeopardy. With a credit score drop this drastic, and the recent "late payment:" showing on my account, I am now not able to close on my home under the current mortgage guidelines. I have requested a letter from the company stating that this was an error on their part, that I am not nor have never been late or delinquent on a payment and that I had paid the account as agreed and am in good standing. They have not provided the letter as I specifically requested.

This purchase was eligible for 12 month promotional financing which was scheduled to end on February 20.My first payment on the account was made on February 19 of 75.00 (Minimum Requirement Payment Amount). I paid 8 months of payments though September 16 totaling 600.00. I made a second furniture purchase on September 16 with a total of 292.70. The second furniture purchase has a separate promotional balance that would end October 3. Since, I had a new purchase my minimum payment amount increased to 100.00 per month. I made payments on October 17, November, 18, 2019, December 16 of 100.00 each month totaling 300.00. On January, 3, 2020 a payment of 239.00 was made on account, On January 17 a payment of 105.00 was made on account. On February 20, I called into GAFCO customer service to get the pay off balance of the first purchase made in Jan 2019. The customer service agent notified me that the promotional pay off balance was 313. 61. I paid this amount over the phone with the customer service agent in order for it to post before the promotion ended. On March 3 a patient of 50.00 was made on account and On March 20 another payment of 75.00 was made on account. This should have left my account with only owing 14.04. I called into customer service and was told that the CSR misapplied my payment on February 20,2020 and did not credit it to the promotional balance ending. I was told that a messgae was going to be sent over to accounts a few times for review but nothing has come of it. My statement still shows I owe GAFCO 413.50. I would like this taken care of immediately.

I got $6500 worth of Credit and got a bed, started paying on it and then decided to get Living Room furniture for a future dwelling. My job decided to change our payroll from biweekly to weekly, in Dec.2021, Jan.2022 I was still current on both Accounts. GAF runs your credit for all contracts if you don't get the furniture from the same store. This was not explained and they act as though you've done something wrong when you question them rerunning your Credit! Started paying for the bed first and $220 was left on The balance, because it wasn't paid out in December they tacked on $1000. I got the Living Room furniture in June , these people insist that they are correct in the additional $1000 and believe it is more conducive to keep harassing you for being late a few days. My chief complaint is that their representative acted as though she personally was affronted at my balance in March 2022, I paid the required payment $98 for one account and $165 for the other but doubled one payment so you received $350, but less than $400. They have reported today that I'm 90 days and then 60 days behind HOW, ARE THEY ALLOWED TO REPORT SOMEONE FOR BOTH OF THESE AT THE SAME TIME?! THEY ARE NOT GETTING THIS FURNITURE! And I don't like that you don't subtract the furniture from the initial $6500 worth of credit, and again the balance will be paid. No need to start lying because that money paid was the representation of the April payment. My Credit has been superb and these people act as though they never received payment EVER. Comenity needs to start processing returns but GAF need to stop with double negative credit reporting, because a whole lie doesn't make your reputation great.

On September 28 I was approved credit from Great American Finance towards a future furniture purchase through Ashley *** In October , we found the furniture we wanted to purchase yet when we went to make the purchase online the account number provided to us by *** would not work. Since they don't answer the phone during business hours, we went back and forth via email for several days until we could place our orders. Since we have placed our order, we continue to be charged for things we did not purchase in addition to not being able to access our online account in order to make our payments. When we were finally able to set up automatic payments (from their website issues) the monthly payment now somehow changes just enough for the automatic payment (that we do have set up) to not be enough to cover the full amount needed which is marking our payments late and we are subjected to more fees. We've asked several times for the account to be updated but nobody returns the emails and our account is still showing past due and for the incorrect balance. Today I went to go into the account again and now I am locked out of sending a message. I purchased furniture, financed through Great American Finance. I was diligent with my payments, but the company repeatedly claimed they didn't receive them, despite my providing confirmation numbers. After giving my bank details again, they still alleged non-payment and were rude, even laughing at me. I've asked them to retrieve their furniture, as I refuse to pay for something that isn't properly accounted for. They've also misinformed me about the interest-free period, and their customer service is uncooperative, often hanging up on me. I need assistance to resolve this and stop them from wrongly affecting my credit.

Fraud. Scam. Loan sharking. I have no idea how this company is in business and has not had a class action lawsuit filed against them. How do you go about a class action lawsuit? I had my account from a furniture store set up on automatic payments. They added another line item to my *** 9 months later which increased my minimum payment. No big deal right? Wrong. They kept my minimum payment below the threshold which triggered their 27% interest. No calls no emails no mail even though they claimed they did. Nothing. Thankfully I had enough money to pay them off in full. If you are looking to finance go through a credit union for a personal loan or credit card. Youll end up paying twice what your furniture is worth with this *** of a company. Honestly, how are they in business?
OMG the worst company ever! I was approved online, I thought I had made a purchase, never received an email confirmation, called Great American Finance, spoke with Mr *** the Supervisor, he stated my order didnt go through because my purchase was too low I have to charge $300.00 or more. I told him to cancel my account and send me a letter that reads that my account was cancelled and I owe no monies. I never received a letter confirming my account was cancelled, however on 9/18 I did receive a letter; stating my *** was due 9/28. I am terrified that this company will report delinquent payments to the *** and I never received any merchandise
Worst experience ever. I gave a call to get assistance with an approval for finance with the company. Granted, I mixed companies. My original approval from the company was with Ashley *** who after trying to buy furniture stated that they no longer work with the finance company. I went over to The Room Place who does. I assumed that as long as I had an approval it would be exchangeable. I called the office. Whoever they have on the phones representing to company was so cut throat. She was misleading. She wasnt allowing g me time to talk nor was she trying to hear me out. She even screamed at my regard when I asked for upper management. The absolute wrong people working with the public are the people the have answering the phones. The *** lady never gave me her name but Im sure the company knows who they have representing them between 11am- 11:15 am on October 8 I feel Im owed an apology at the very least and someone to work with my situation but dont brush me off like Im and ignorant person that doesnt know business. It was a horrible experience
