Green Dot unethical behavior on the part of incompetent staff in their customer service.

On February 2, my account was debited in the amount of $119.95. This was not authorized by me. I informed the customer service person of this and he said the money would be put back into my account just continue to check my account. I was not sure this was going to happened so I called the company that debited my account . They in turn immediately sent me an emailed and confirmation to put the funds back into my account. I called back to let Green Dot know of what I had done . He gave me a dispute # [protected], and said OK and transferred me to a Supervisor.
The person I spoke with told me that they were fixing the problem and the account would be as if nothing had happened on the account. I was on the phone 2 hours each day to no avail. Now 3/9/18 I called and because the genius had closed out my card, I have a go bank account I can to call Go Bank and be transferred to Green Dot, today I got on the phone at 9:30 was not able to get off till 12:30 still no access to my payroll or my account .
I am a retired widow with no money due to this and no groceries in my home . I have never in my life seen such levels of sad business and everyone working for the same company and saying something different.
Then they instruct me to send a copy of my driver's license I did this at least 10 times sending everything but a lung. I still do not have any real assurance that I will access to my money by Monday my card # that they took out of the system was [protected].

Green Dot billing issue

I've been trying to get a lousy 40.00 back from green dot since Feb. 24 and everyday that I call they tell me 24 hrs 24 hrs. It isnt even a dispute issue with a merchant, every CSR and supervisor I spoke with (which has been 12 supervisors and 20 CSRs ) has told me it was a computer glitch on Green Dots part. So I feel that they are no better than a theif. It isnt even about the 40.00 anymore it's the principal.

Green Dot complaint

I've been having problems wit green dot since day 1. First a $40 money pic got misplaced somewhere then on top of that if I don't pay $500 MoneyPak. Mysteriously misplaced somewhere I put it in it said I had too much money in my account for that month then I tried the next day and it said it was already used so I reported it they told me to go to upload my docs. Greendot.com I tried to do that but I cannot put my card number in so I can send them the photos of my receipts. Now I tried to call I couldn't get in contact with any customer service. So then I use my son's card to call him I finally got a customer representative they connect me to another department that department connect me to the supervisor twice I got hung up on. After that I got so upset I was going to call the investigator before the Fox 29 News I need my money so I'm going to get my money are they going to tell me something it's so unprofessional for someone to hang up on you and on top of it as supervisor that's crazy

Hi, I have a Walmart money card which I loaded $1500 on March 13 2018 I made a online purchase for $433 the same night after loading the money then tried to make a bill payment and my card declined it. I called Walmart MoneyCard to see what was the problem an they said I had a fraudulent use on my card asking me to upload a photo Id “which I did” then their response was “after reviewing my Id it could not be verified” so they blocked my account and told me there would be no refund available to me🤬... I just want my money back I don’t wanna have to go through the process of filling a lawsuit about my money but I will. I have 4 kids a baby on the way and bills that need to be paid as of today March 14 2018 that’s due for disconnection if not paid by today... They won’t let me speak to corporate about the issue I was told to wait until I receive a call there’s nothing they can do smh.

Green Dot blocked debit replacement card

Several days ago I lost my old green dot card so I reported it the same day to be lost I called and informed green dot not knowing the horror story I was in for!

Several days later I received my new card with a block on it! When I called green dot I was informed regarding sending a picture of me!? They never seen me!
My daughter managed to speak yo a, rep after much run round and of course the rep wasn't american! Finally after be told she'd be reported to the feds she gave my daughter green dots email and mailed my mug shot over to them!

As to date I haven't heard from them, iam reporting them to banking commission today!

Green Dot green dot prepaid visa card

I purchased a new GreenDot prepaid Visa card for my paycheck direct deposit and didn't have to have an idea to start the process of the account I had temporary card until New care arrived in mail it took over a month after several calls and same story everytime I'm sorry sir new card in 3 days I figured called one day and the lady tell me my card has been returned to them so I asked why wasn't I notified no response and they have all information to contact me phone number address well I had moved in with my friend for work transportation reasons and gave a change of address for the new card asking when I submitted my change of address if it would effect my account the woman said NO it would not have any effect on it when I activate new card old one will be cancelled so the same story card in 3 days next day my card blocked at register with all items unable to pay for I left called number and ask why it was blocked they said because I put in change of address what kind of business does that well they said I need to verify my account with I'd not knowing if it's me submitting the I'd I tried several times and every time rejected and then they even rejected my direct deposit check from work sending it back to my work place where they only pay with direct deposit so now I'm blocked from account rejected pay and no money in my pocket that's been a week ago and still no access to my account and (Donna) she says it's her business gave me the run-around again telling me to submit the I'd so after several times still no access ...SO it took over a month finally when my card did show up a day after they said it would be here no access rejected pay check and still blocked from money that's in account I am still trying to I'd verification will this ever end this is [censor] thanks people

Green Dot direct deposit

My $750 deposit was sent with the last number on my account wrong they told me to get the tracking number and they could put it in the right account, that was 6 days ago it was processed through Green dot and they keep telling me its being investigated they promise to call me in 24 hours, now their saying Monday, this is unacceptable. I keep telling them I need my money and that it is sitting in their bank.

Green Dot took money that they are not putting back

I started calling your company starting on 2/25/2018, it is now 3/1/2018 and still my issue is not resolved. I ended up contacting the merchant an getting my money reversed your company did not help at all all the CSR an supervisors I spoke with over a five day period were not helpful all they did was tell me 24 hrs 24 hrs, I got my 39.90 reimbursed an your company charged me 40.00 which csr an supervisors all told me was a glitch in your system an it would be back in my account, an after 5 days is isnt back in my account an the csrs were rude an all the did was give me the run around. I asked to speak to supervisors an the refused to put one on an when one returned my call they hung up on me, if this 40.00 is not back in my account by tomorrow I will be contacting the BBB with all the names and badge numbers involving this issue. Green Dot tax return/direct deposit

Still havent received my funds. Green dot
Says they havent received them but I called the irs and they said they deposited on the 22nd. Where is my money green dot? I never had this problem before until I decided to listen to your false advertisement about getting my tax return back faster (lies) I wouldnt advise anyone to use this card. Ever. Why havent I received my return yet
? And none of the reps have answers.

Green Dot green dot prepaid card

I loaded 40 bucks on my card used 23. 98 for some ecigs and my monthly fee of 7. 50. There is a balance of 8. 57 left on it and and I can't use it it's saying my card is blocked and need to send a copy of my driver's license or id. Why I have another card as well in my name with green dot. I also can't get to talk to a customer service person it isn't even giving me the option to get to one. This is very aggravating and a hassle.

Green Dot tax refund rejected

I opted to get my state and federal tax refund on my recently purchased green dot card. My husband and I file a joint return. I received my state no problem. When my date of deposit past with no funds I called green dot and they informed me that the deposit was sent back to the irs because my husbands name was on the check and not on the account.
This is the biggest piece of crap I have filed returns for over a decade and never had this problem. If the policy is now all names on the check need to be on the account then that should apply to all deposits. I feel like I am being scammed. I spoke to a customer service rep who gave me no help at all. He kept telling me to call the IRS just to get me off the phone. I called the IRS and of course they told me they did their part and deposited the check where I asked. I spoke to someone in corporate who told me that there was nothing she could do because it has already been sent back. I will NEVER use any greendot product ever again. They cannot be trusted! SAD

Green Dot federal tax refund

The IRS released funds yesterday to my card. It still hasn't posted. For your claims of being so "convenient", you certainly have caused me much inconvenience. It has NEVER taken this long to get my refund from any other source in the past. Even mailed checks were faster! I will NOT be using Greendot in the future for my income taxes, nor would I recommend it to others.

Green Dot my direct deposit

Today is now 2/22/2018 I had a federal direct deposit come to my greendot account as of right now I still haven't received my cash called the irs it was sent what is going on I see thousands of people on multiple forums upset with greendot visa, greendot bank also walmart greendot about funds not being disbursed my mom has this card she said she never had a problem that's the only reason I opted to recieve my federal tax refund on this card I've also set up payroll direct deposit for my job but will have to opt out when I get to work I have health issues and the stress I can't do especially with me being a single mom and the curve life throws you I need my cash when its available to me not after.my mom just called she has the same deposit date as me and she don't have hers neither

Green Dot my card is blocked

I ordered my card 1/29/18 the rep said I would recieve it by 2/5/18 I didn't recieve it I called on or after 2/7/18 a rep mailedbme a new card I have received my new card but its blocked I've sent my upload state issued identification I've emailed it about 10 times I keep getting the run around what to do now I need my money could someone contact me concerning this matter

Green Dot can't get my money out even after speaking to supervisors look at this problem

one of the worst companies. we have been on the phone four times, I cant get my 300 dollar out because they put a block on it as an agent placed replacement card I didnt ask for. now I am trying to call back to get my 300 out and they blocked me from speaking to customer service rep I cant get through at all as if they blocked me from speaking to them via phone after I enter my card number. I need my money Now what is going on?

Green dot blocked me out of my account. I have been calling them even had my attorney on conference call. They still have us the run around. I have a remaining balance of a good amount of money on my card. They refuse to give it to me. Green dot is a joke they steal from you .

Green Dot my card was sent to me by mail with a lock on it

Yes I am having trouble with my card and I have no idea how to get my card unlock I was told to send photos of my identification and I have just done that so can you please let me know what my next step is because I have know idea what else I can possibly do I need to get my card unlock it is very important to me that I have my card unlock thank you for your time I hope we get this matter solved

Green Dot unauthorized hotel charges

I've had a transaction in pending status for 6 days now.The transaction was paid with another card and I've contscted customer service and they continue to provide with inaccurate, unreliable, and various reasons as to why I am having this issues.
The customer service reps are rude and the managers are unhelpful and have no idea what they are doing. This card is a scam. Definitely go with a different card or pay with cash.This card is not worth the headache

Green Dot green dot moneypak card

I was the victim of a telephone scam. On 12/21/17 I received a call, telling me there was a warrant for my arrest, and that I needed to purchase two Green Dot Money Pak cards for my bail.The scammers insisted, that the cards must be purchased from CVS pharmacy, 625 West Clinton St., Ithaca, NY 14850. Both cards were purchased on 12/21/17, Green Dot card # [protected], for $150.00, and Green Dot card#[protected], for $325.00. The first card for $150.00 was cashed by the scammers, however, the second card, for $325.00 was flagged as invalid and the funds never received by the scammers. The scam perpetrators remained on the phone with me, until I purchased the cards. They insisted on me giving them the card numbers, once they had the numbers, they directed me to go to the Tompkins County Sheriffs Department, to surrender myself. Upon arrival to the sheriffs, we discovered that I was scammed, as they had no warrant for my arrest. I filed a sheriff's report, with Deputy Sheriff, Kyle Davenport, C&R # S17-13938. My wife reported one of the cards on your website, before we left the sheriffs dept. Later that night I received another call from the scammers, asking me to repeat one of the card numbers, as it had come back as invalid. This was the card my wife had reported before we left the sheriffs office. I have tried numerous times to have the $325.00 returned to me, with no luck. I have attempted to call Green Dot Company and when I tried to apply for a refund, I received a message that my card was not valid. I have not been successful in talking to a company representative, as their automated phone service does not allow it. I am disabled and live on Social Security, $325.00 is a lot of money to me, I am sure the money is still on this card, but at a loss on how to recover these funds. I am attaching a copy of my receipt. Please can you help me find a way to contact Green Dot, and speak with someone who can help me to recover the $325.00?

Green Dot card not working

I purchased 4 pre paid visa cards at walmart store 12504 u s Route 60 Ashland, Ky on 12/16/2017 as Christmas presents for my children, I paid $100.00 plus the $4.94 fee for each card, three of the cards worked fine but the last card when I tried to register it online kept saying invalid card #. When I purchased the cards, the cashier was having a problem trying to load a card, she sent me back to the kiosk to pick out a different card, punched some numbers on her keyboard and said there, the card is loaded. I left the store with my cards never giving it another thought because I have purchased gift cards through wal mart previously and had no problems.
Every phone number I have called does not offer a live operator to speak with, I expect some resolution on this card.

Green Dot green dot prepaid card account

I have had a Green Dot card for three years or so. My pay is direct deposited there. In '17 I deposited at least $70K to it. I noticed my balances seemed low a while back. Since I don't have home internet I cannot access the online app to access transactions. I have to call the service # and listen to 5 transactions at a time. There were withdrawls not made or authorized by me, in small amounts but 3-6 times a day. I called cust service, they cancelled my card and would send me a new one. I gave the woman my new address at least twice. She told me it would arrive on the 11th. I told her my rent was due and I had no access to my funds, can't we expedite this.? She said that was not possible, she had already placed the order and could only place one per every 24 hours. Why would she not tell me about expedited service before? She said I could wait 24hours and call again to expedite a card, it would come on the 8th. I declined and waited. 11th came, no card. 12th came, no card. I called back, they had sent it to my OLD ADDRESS! I HAD TO ORDER ANOTHER CARD! I PAID THE $15 to expedite it although I didn't screw up, your agent did. Meanwhile my landlord is angry because I could not pay my rent. My card finally came on the 17th, and on that day I received a three day pay or leave notice from my landlord. I went to activate my card, and couldn't because you have a block on it! I tried my old card and the new one, same result. I could not even get access to a customer service person. My alternatives were (1) take a pic of my state ID, send it to you, and after 2 business days I would find out if my ID was accepted and the h)block removed. ? This is UNACCEPTABLE! Why didn't anyone mention this before? I could have done it while waiting the first or 2nd time I wauited! And I see plenty of other people who did the same only to not have their IDs apprioved. Now I am almost 3 weeks waiting to be able to get my funds and pay my rent! Now 3 paychecks have gone in since I have had a working card! I did nothing wrong! I didn't lose my card. I didn't overdraw my account! I just reported some unauthorized withdrawls. Also to get those withdrawals credited back I have to write a letter or email listing every disputed charge then wait 10 business days more to get a decision then? who knows till I get a refund? Frankly I would just take my cash elsewhere and close my account, but after I see how fine your customer service is I don't want to find out what your ex-customer service is like, or how much trouble I would have getting my funds, let alone getting these withdrawls back! Why do you have a hold on my account? Who took those withdrawls out? My landlord is threatening to go to court this week to start eviction proceedings! You have my LAST THREE PAYCHECKS! STOP treating me like a criminal! I am VERY UNHAPPY with your company! I stopped any further direct deposits until this is fixed.
