There is much I could write but I am tired of writing the same true story. My classic Porsche was destroyed in a shop that turned out to a scam shop. It took me two years to even get then car seized by court order. I had/have overwhelming evidence, (the destroyed car). I thought Hagerty was a good company. Well they have changed, not even owned by Hagerty anymore. Long story short after being late on every call or reply if you can get threw to the company they use. Essentra for claims they sent out an adjustor late. And he reported he only saw un-completed repairs and tape damage. I had this done twice. Same answer, the attorney, police, and professional mechanics were and are flabbergasted by this. The car is stripped of stolen parts and interior destroyed, dash pulled down and wires exposed everywhere, rod shifter assembly stolen, door panel ripped off, dash distroyed, etc. The "agent' does not care at all. They have lost all integrity. I took my other classic off of course. I have a total loss. They their excuse was they don't cover restoration. It was not sent for that. It was sent for a timing belt change. They even changed the initial claim from theft to other. I feel more betrayed by them than the thief of a shop. This were suppose to be an honest company. Well no more. Don't deal with them. Of course there is much more but why write. I would give Hagerty a 0 out of 5 now. In my opinion they are a completely dishonest company now. Sooner or later there will be a class action suit and they should lose. My car and story could be the honest picture of how bad this company and the companies they really are a poster to stop all from trusting them. Michael Hale
Claimed loss: 35,000 plus
Desired outcome: Simple, for them to honor their claim, which is even less.
