What happened to my magazine and lifetime membership?
I joined the Handyman Club of America YEARS ago. I did actually get to try out a product. It was a small baggie that you attached to the wall that was suppose to catch drywall dust when you drilled a hole through it. The last time i think I received a magazine was March/April 2011. Are they still in business? My member # is: [protected] 7. I would at least like to know if they went belly up or something.

Desired outcome: I would like to Continue to receive my magazine and membership perks. Past issues would also be appreciated as this was part of the lifetime membership agreement.

Was a life time member..and got no refund for my membership..and have not recieved anything from them for years
Have not recieved handyman magazine in approximately 10 years even though I supposedly had a lifetime membership.
Haven't recieved any issues from Handyman magazine (lifetime membership) in approximately 10 years. I recieved an electric router, bag, bits with case plus with the paid lifetime membership. I did have a card stating this status however have moved & not sure exactly where it is. Now the magazine customer service claims not to have records of this
Desired outcome: Either resume sending me the subscription or refund my money.

Handyman Club of America
They ripped me off for a $365.00 membership and disappeared... They promised tools to test and a lot of other things, sent a few magazines and then fell off the radar completely. I tried calling the number in the magazine and never got anyone to answer. I wrote them and never heard back. I never got any tools to test and they kept sending me an annual invoice for months even though I had paid the life membership fee...
Desired outcome: refund
handy (life time membership) not honored
I have been a life time member for many years but my last issue was delivered back in December 2013. I have received no correspondence since then. Just want my magazines! It was a good magazine when i was receiving it. For some unknown reason they quit sending it to me. I had paid for my lifetime membership and that was a small fortune at the time for my pleasure/hobby. I only ask for what was promised to me by the company.
Thank you.
Desired outcome: just want my subscription delivered
Lifetime membership
I paid for the books, magazines that I only got one, I got a few tools to keep, but never received my jacket, hats or any other clothing from the club. They stopped contacting me over 10 years ago and haven't since. I feel that I should either get the full benefits or at least a refund. I donated the books to my college library for other students to use since I already known in how to do remodeling and woodworking projects. It seems like that this organization being bought out by CBS sports wouldn't be the correct path for it. I'm disappointed in being a member of the group since it's a great embarrassment for my business.
Desired outcome: Refund or full benefits to be given

Life membership
Hi I have been a life member of this club since 8/2011 as soon as I paid in full for my life membership I stopped getting my magazine and lost all contact with the club. I have no idea what happened and I would really like my magazine back I was getting every month. But so far I have got nothing from the club and am very upset with them. Am sure other members are as well. I would like to know what happened to the hundreds of dollars I spent on my life membership, and my magazine.
Desired outcome: if something has happened to the club then i want my money back.

Desired outcome: I need a Refund!!!!

I signed up as a lifetime member many years ago in 2001 and for a long time I received the magazine and other material from the club but then all of a sudden it stopped and I have not received anything for a long time. I enjoyed the magazine and purchased items from the club and would like to know why it has stoped?

Life Member benefits
Been a Life Member since early 200s. Haven't seen a magazine or received any communications in years. Are they still operating, if so what do I do to get the Life Member Benefits I paid for turned back on?
I have been reading all the negative comments and hearing that Life Members got screwed because they were taken over by another entity. I never got notified of that and would like my paid for benefits to be reinstated immediately!
Desired outcome: Turn on my Life benefits and receive the magazine again!

A long time ago Scout took over the Handyman Club of America.
Everything stopped with no notices to the life members. No magazine, no product testing, no website to get advise on projects.
When Scout bought out bought out Handyman Club of America, they are by law required to uphold all prior contacts in place or refund Life Membership Fee.
Past membership fees and life time Fee of $349.00. According to the agreement my lifetime membership means I will received over $1, 100.00 worth of free gifts, benefits and perks

Disappearance of the Company
I was a member of the Handyman Club of America as well as the North American Fishing Club. My understanding is that there were reorganized under the name of Scout, and the bought up by CBS Sports at some point. I have a lot of money into the lifetime memberships of these two organizations under the guise of receiving products to test and keep, as well as informative magazines. I know it is a long shot, but I would love to get some of the money back that I spent on these two subscriptions.
Desired outcome: Refund
