Service and warranty
We purchased a recliner in May of 2023. We also purchased a guardian 5 year insurance plan. We filed a claim inJuly of 2023. They sent out a service technician three weeks ago who told us tge part would be here in a couple of days. Three weeks later and still no part. Todays est(which changes week to week)is 9/6 . Over a month past original report date. We have been told that we have no recourse but to wait until (or if ever) the parts come in. Unacceptable. Additionally the warranty we paid for does not actually kick in for a year after purchase. They knowingly charged me for a product I can’t not use. This is truly only a four year plan. Havertys has refused to refund or extend this service. This is a complete violation of consumers rights and advice from their sales team. This is a way for them to make money from the consumer without any intention of allowing a service.
I do not recommend this company or their company tactics to obtain additional funds.

April 1, 2023 Worst design experience from unprofessional clueless manager, Rebecca G. Havertys Furniture District Manager, Florida Design in the Villages is not very professional. Funny how Havertys promotes their least experienced into management and design. if more managers expressed empathy towards their employees there would be higher employee retention and less turnover. When managers treat their employees with understanding and respect they will have better workplace environment and more productive employees. Empathy is a valuable management attribute which Haverys lacks. all they are interested in is their personal revenue and not customer satisfaction. poor management and customer service after customers pay for their furniture.
Desired outcome: Pay the employees the commission and severance pay you owe them after skimming from their paychecks for years.
the corporate management looks the other way when ale managers harass female employees. after reporting it to their HR Department with Proof their response was a Pink Slip without caring about their reputation. they moved the male manager out of state to a different location to sweep it under the rug. corporate refused to pay the commission, vacation time and severance pay they owed for long term female employees who were harassed at the workplace. Poor customer service and repaired furniture sold as new deceiving their loyal customers is still a major deceptive business practice is their #1 Focus to make Profits. Where are the State Regulators when Consumers and Employees need Assistance ?

Quality of furniture
We paid $3000 plus for our couch that is being serviced for the cushions being poorly manufactured. Not even five months of having this couch the cushions lean in, causing back pain and no support. We bought the most expensive couch wanting it to be quality and its not. We are having to wait 6-8 weeks for two cushions to be replaced and why they didnt do all three to make sure they would all be level is another concern. Please help us to get a refund please.

Sofa
We bought a couch from you guys earlier this year and when it came the rivets (I think that’s what they’re called) were so jagged we had to send it back for a replacement. We waited awhile due to Covid for the new one.
Now on the new sofa the cushions have so much piling on them that it looks years old. We hardly ever have guests over and we have 2 other chairs that my husband and I use so the sofa isn’t used much at all. But when guest do visit we notice as soon as they leave the fabric is worse! We would like to discuss this further with someone. This is not good service. To pay this much for a sofa that we’re embarrassed about is ridiculous. We’ve bought furniture from you guys in the past with no problem but to us this sofa is a major problem. We were hoping for it to last a long time but it looks like we may have to recover it which we do not want to do since that’s basically the same as buying a new sofa.

Melbourne sofa and loveseat
Purchased Melbourne sofa and loveseat on [protected]. Loveseat stopped working on [protected]. Thank goodness I bought the 5yr warranty so tech came out flipped the loveseat over and it started working again. Loveseat USB ports stopped working on [protected]. It is now 10-26-2022 and I'm still waiting for parts. Sofa stopped working on 10-20-2022. Tech came out 10-26-2022 and has to order a new motor. Now I'm stuck with one end of the headrest forward. This furniture is defective. It keeps breaking. My sale number is [protected].

placing order incorrectly
I purchased a complete dinner & living room set. I also added some etc: rugs and a picture. This order took place in February of 2022. I was informed the deliver would take place in August of 2022. I received a number of notifications that a final payment was needed by July 31, 2022 in order to have the deliver. (email, text, message left on the cell phone I made the final payment. Note: back in February during the order; I made it clear that I wanted all of the items deliver at the same time, On August 6, 2022. the deliver team delivered an incomplete order. I did not accept it and turned them away. I called the sale person and he reported he will look into it. Note: not at any time I was told that the order would be incomplete. I spoke with one of the store Manager after receiving a message to call about my order & my request to cancel my order. Note: the cancelation request took place after the sale person stated the chairs were not ready & the order is looking to be complete in October. I spoke with one of the Manager who acknowledged his reveal of the order shows it was missed up by the sale person. He stated an item was filed so an early date is possible. When I asked him about the chairs; he did not know about them. Again, the order was asked to be cancel. Note: not one time did the Manager apologies for the poor services. This entire experience has been mental exhaust.
Desired outcome: Avoid such repeat of action by training your sale person and a written apology. The company causes a delay in getting my home furniture. Now, I am back to square one in searching.

The couch is only 7 months old and the cushion resiliency is very poor. I can feel the boards theu the cushions including the recliners. I also purchased a food up table which the finish is flaking off. I have a ticket number open 3834131.
This furniture was expensive and assumed to be of high quality. I am so surprised how uncomfortable the couch and chairs are now for the padding is flat and one can feel the wood boards when sitting on or sitting your arm on the side of the recliners.
Havertys is coming out to inspect the furniture this Saturday. We will soon see how they back their products. I am hoping they do the right thing and repair or replace. I spent over 5k on the couch, recliners and table. I have previously bought high quality clinches which the resiliency held up. Either the design with the padding is of a very poor design or there are issues with the manufacturer. To feel the boards underneath the cushions given the short term use of the product is not acceptable. I will be posting a review of their service and quality video on fb no matter the outcome. I truly hope they do the right thing.

Desired outcome: I would like to think Havertys will stand by their product, especially given the couch has only been used for about 6 months. If they can’t repair and it’s a manufacturer flaw, they need to replace or provide a credit for the furniture.
Living room furniture and dining room
We purchased furniture months before we closed on our home and was give a delivery date. The salesman put in incorrect address and it went to wrong address. We were given an apology and was told that it would be delivered to us ASAP. And we still don't have our furniture and now we are getting the run around. We are military and never had this problem 😫

Atlas sofa & loveseat - arden (6 chairs 2 arm chairs) & 4 counter chairs
First the sofa and loveseat.
We purchased these in Tyler Texas - 5/24/2018
They were delivered however, we did not move into the house where they were delivered to until June 2019. So they have only been used for a year.
It's just myself and my husband. No children in the house.
The arm is coming off the sofa
The back on the loveseat is very loose and coming apart and the stitching is coming undone.
We did purchase the Guardsman and they are coming to see if they can repair them. But, at this point we are very unhappy with them.
We didn't know Haverty's had such poor quality furniture.
We would like a refund and be able to pick something that would be better quality. This furniture has been VERY lightly used. It should not be falling apart like it is. Very disappointing
Now for the chairs. (We also purchased the Guardsman on them)

Guardsman will not cover the chairs.
They are coming loose and squeak when you sit in them they sway back and forth. Some of them we try not to use because they are coming apart.
Would like to return these for something that will not fall apart.

Sofa and ottoman
I purchased a new sofa in March of 2019. Its barely a year old and the fabric is already fuzzy and looks like the furniture is much older than it is. I live alone, no kids or pets, so my furniture is lightly used and should reflect that, not the old fuzziness that is shows. I am wondering what my options are because I am very dissatisfied with Havertys since I started business with Havertys in 2017. Initially I got this current sofa because the leather sofa I purchased broke after a year. I couldn't get a replacement because Havertys discontinued it. Then when I chose this sofa/ottoman they put the wrong material on the sofa so I had to wait 3 months longer for it to arrive. I caught the sales lady mistake and literally had to call the store weekly to get updates and cross reference to make sure there wouldn't be any other mistakes. Then when this was finally delivered they had to replace the foot on the sofa right from the get go and now 13 months later it looks horrible. I am hoping the company realizes all these inconveniences and agrees to compensate me. I have attached pictures of the damages on both pieces. I look forward to hearing from you.

sleeper sofa, duvets & warranties
First off - our sales person was unavailable from the get-go. Tried repeatedly to reach him with our issues. We were delivered a defective sofa. Apparently they have a three day policy to report your issue. Well we tried.
Bottom line is that they are charging us for a duvet that we were told would be delivered to us twice and never received, two warranty packages that we told our sales guy that we didn't want.
Now they are telling us that we are SOL and will be still be charged for the lemon sofa. $2500.00. Their only solution was that they would pick it up and get it out of our faces.
Believing that we would get credited for this nasty sofa, we further bought another and two chairs from them! What person in their right mind would do that if they thought they would get credit for the bad one? Our sales person told we would, that is when we went in.
I could go on and on, but won't. Simply will say they don't have any customer service to speak of and low-quality products. Best advice is to read the very fine print before you sign anything and confirm there policies
Will never darken the doors of a Haverty's again.
havertys pay policies: dewey, cheetum & howe
If Havertys pay policies came into the 21st Century, you could tolerate working there. However, pay policy remains in the 19th Century when the Company was founded. Oh, there is a written policy governing commission payment, but if you do not sign it, you get no pay. You are forced and coerced to sign a policy dictated by some dim-wit manager. I have been fleeced for $750 in commissions due to these archaic and ticky-tack rules. Yes, Havertys could make exceptions to the rules if the sales consultant has no control over the delivery situation; they simply will not do it. Havertys is so stubborn that hurting employees is more important. I guess they will use my money to pad their bonus check. Why would you buy from Havertys when they find ways not pay their people?
leather castleton sofa and loveseat
Haverty's quality of furniture is declining badly! They are no better than Badcock or Farmers Furniture. We spent over $13, 000 on one order and it is all cheap and not worth what we paid for it. The leather is peeling and fading, turning colors as if it was spray painted! We purchased the warranty and have called them out on occasions only to get someone to "spray" over the blemish as a fix. Customer service is awful and attempts to get help from the person who sold the furniture is non-existent. As a matter of fact, we went to the store to ask for the salesperson to help us and she would not come to the phone. Once you leave the store, they don't care anything about you at all, just trying to make a new sale and mislead the next customer. I will never shop with Haverty's again!

A few weeks ago I was looking at the bedroom suits and shockingly overheard to blonde women gay bashing. I immediately left the store and contacted a human rights office. I was advised to get there names. The one telling the story of assuming that 2 females whom she was trying to sell a couch too was Katye. I can assure you that I have never been so insulted and that being in the LGBTQ community I will never enter the store in Charlottesville, Virginia again. I will also let everyone know about this horrible and biased store.

I bought two red leather recliners in august of 2013. The so called leather lasted about 3 years. We went on vacation for two weeks and came home to find the so called leather! Flaking away. For what I thought was a reliable place to find good furniture has been a complete rip off. The so called leather! Is nothing more than bonded leather that is cheap and way over priced. Havertys should be sued by everyone that bought defective furniture from them. Having spent cash for all I bought from this place I thought I was getting good quality furniture. Obviously not made in the usa but a good deal has been made in vietnam. Anyone who sees this stay away from this place you be better off going to k-mart.

The end of July, 2017, I ordered an Ericka Full Bed Gel Sleeper sofa bed from Haverty's in Knoxville, TN. I was in the store and sat on the floor model and picked out the desired fabric. I ordered the guardsman to protect the fabric and thought I would be happy with the product. It cost me $1447.53 including tax and delivery. After delivery, I complained about the cushions being too hard. I received a phone call from the sales person and an email which I am copying you. (Thank you so much for taking the time to complete our survey and giving us your feedback. We are committed to providing our customers with the highest level of service because you deserve the very best, Since you have received a brand new pieces cushions will be a lot firmer then the store models, store model pieces have been in home for months or more and are sat on by customers all day everyday . Please allow a couple week for your cushions to adjust to your body .) I have allowed plenty of time including the holidays when I had company. It is still hard! I contacted Haverty's customer service and they sent out a tech to check. He agreed it was hard but nothing could be done. I am extremely upset. I talked with customer service again and asked about swapping out the sleeper for just a plain sofa since they keep blaming the hardness on that. But they can't do that according to the customer service person. I am so disillusioned and disappointed and will never shop at Haverty's again. My friends and family will all hear about my displeasure, as well. Absolutely terrible that they can do nothing to help me. Oh, I forgot---the tech told me to put the cushions on the floor and walk on them. I am 75 years old and balance is not my best feature at this age. So, so upset with them.

What can I say? Bad bad bad, Havertys, it was terrible.
We ordered four pieces of furniture for our daughter's room. And all of them arrived damaged. How is it possible?
I was very disappointed. It meant that we would have to spend time on trying to return and replacing it, and I and my husband are very busy people, we have no tie for doing things like that and it will surely take us a long time. Thank you for making our lives worse, Havertys.

On October 07, 2017 I purchased a cocktail table and two end tables from Havertys at 9735 Atlantic Blvd in Jacksonville Fl 32225. Upon reviewing the pamphlet that was given to me with my receipt, I noted that there is only a 3 day return policy. The furniture arrived without incident, I had no need to return, cancel or exchange.
Please note at no time did my salesman or the person who processed my payment mention this policy
At the same time I purchased 2 throw pillows, which I took home with me. Again there was no mention that these said sofa throw pillows were a final sale, or that they fell under a three day return policy. Frankly, had I known this I would not have purchased anything there.
Now I am told I can not return them, despite the fact they are unused and I purposely left the tags on until I could ascertain if they went with my decor, which they do not. My car has been in the repair shop since last Monday, and we had planned on bringing back the 2 pillows this weekend when we get our car back.
I think this is an unreasonable return policy

I have the same issue. My recliner broke in the reclined position around June 1st. I'm still waiting on it to be repaired and Haverty's is useless in helping. Haverty's has no integrity or they would not push this warranty on anyone. They have to KNOW how horrible Guardsman warranty service is because that's mostly what the complaints are about, yet they continue to push it and will not refund it after 30 days.
