On Monday 21st August I dropped off a 1 kg parcel approx 20cm x15cm x 5cm at a depot in Munich for delivery to Plzen in the Czech Republic 228km away. The parcel was collected on time ( early ) at 3h07.
On Thursday the 24th at 16h53 it was forwarded from Friedewald(bad Hersfeld) - the other side of Germany. On Friday 25th @09h32 it was forwarded in Germany. On Monday 28th ( already past their promised 2-4 working day delivery) @ 15h11 it was sorted and forwarded from Eggendorf in Austria ( it had already traveled over 1100km for a 228km distance required) Since then NOTHING.I have mailed Hermes many many times with all the details- a picture of the parcel. I get mostly automated replies - asking for the tracking no etc - all of which were in my trail of emails. I sent a necklace to my daughter in an envelope ( addressed) and placed that inside a box with some chocolate biscuits so as to make it bigger / less easy to misplace the parcel.
The service - or lack of customer service or concern or attempts to locate where this parcel "disappeared" or I have read many parcels get "stolen" . It is now 7 weeks since it was sent by courier.I have requested the contact details of a director- that has been ignored . The time of delivery was NOT so important and it being delivered.It was a birthday present for my 12yr old daughter.
Desired outcome: 1st find & deliver the parcel! 2nd compensation for the loss & apology from a senior director.
