unpleasant shopping experience
I typically have a great time shopping with Hibbett Sports as it is my go to sports store. However, today, my experience was unlike any other was greeted at the door by an associate named Kelsey. She asked if my family and I needed help and we did. Our son is starting soccer for the first time and its a sport we know nothing about. We first asked for assistance with cleats. She wasn't knowledgeable so ever and was constantly checking her phone. We finally were able to find a shoe that fit, although it wasn't really the one we were wanting. We then decided to go ahead and pick up a few other essentials, a soccer ball, shin guards, socks, etc. She continued to assist us which was fine, but she obviously knew nothing. We were not able to find all that we needed and were wanting to order in store and inquired about it. She proceeded with saying that this was something we should just do at home. Rather than doing it at home, we just left and went to another store, because we were not all that pleased with the behavior. For an associate to be so distracted by their phone, constantly checking it while trying to assist my family and I, it made for an unpleasant experience. We did not receive this kind of behavior at our other store of choice while shopping. It is experiences such as this that have directed my family and I to drive out of our way to shop at different places to get the things we need with the customer service we desire. There is a time and place for play and I do not believe that that is at work while assisting other customers. Regardless of not being knowledgeable of what we needed, trying to assist in the best way possible would have been nice to see.
the service sucked
Most useless group of porch monkey's i've ever seen in my life. They are by far the laziest people in this world. That big fat [censored] is the leader i'm guessing and she is carrying your business down if you keep her there i'm worried she'll continue to [censored] up the place more than she has already done. She seems to be the manager which i honestly have no idea how, but i mean i guess you didn't have too many options because if the lazy fat [censored] was your best option then [censored] hell.
reward coupons
I have the reward card to earn points toward a discount. I did receive my discount of $10 off of a $25 dollar purchase. I went into the store in Kingsport, TN to purchase items and use my coupon. I did not purchase any promotional items or items that were listed as "taboo" on the coupon. The fella that checked me out states that they are no longer accepting coupons except on merchandise not discounted. No mind you, this merchandise is too expensive as it is. I will no longer be shopping at Hibbett Sports and will spread the word to all my friends and family. I have called and left messages at the complaint line and no one ever calls back. This is poor customer service!
just wanted you to know...
I can't remember his name...but the manager (an older gentleman, at the Jacksonville, AL store), always goes out of his way to help. We've been in the store several times over the past couple of years or so, and when he is there, the store appears as if a professional cleaning/organizing group has recently visited. He is always happy, knowledgeable, and observant; therefore, he always knows what I'm going to need help with and what I'm going to ask about an item.
We are avid online shoppers of just about every store that offers online shopping. We shop at Hibbits online (when the size or item isn't available in the store). The main reason we still visit a physical store, rather than shop online, is because of the experience we always have at the Jacksonville store.
My husband and I both work more than forty hours a week, and have three elementary aged children, so going "out" to shop isn't usually something we like to do; however, going into the Jacksonville store when the manager is working, makes the physical visit very worth it. On one occasion, the two older kids were getting a little restless, he noticed, and started making casual conversation with them about sports, school, etc. They were happy, calm, and we were able to finish gathering the items we needed.
What I feel is important to note, is the fact that I have noticed he treats EVERYONE like that, no matter how busy the store gets. He doesn't ever look or act stressed. He can multitask like a pro, and make all of the customers feel welcomed and attended to. (I spent years working in retail, so I know how difficult it is to master that type of working demeanor; and to be honest, I haven't met or worked with many workers that ever have accomplished that demeanor.)
I've also noticed how respectful he treats his employees. On one occasion, it was clear that one worker was still new, and learning how to greet customers and let them know about current sales. I didn't think much of it, as we have all had to learn and start somewhere. But as soon as I carried on and started to browse, the manager very quietly motioned the worker over to him, and it was clear that he was helping him to better understand. The manager stayed very positive, and even gave the worker a pat on the back after the brief talk. Not long after, another customer came in, and the worker greeted the customer (with improvement). The worker looked to the manager after the greeting, and the manager gave him a big smile and thumbs up. The worker was then smiling too.
I usually do not send emails, complete reviews, etc., simply for the lack of free time I have. In this case, I felt it was very important that your company knows what an extremely valuable employee they have. It is so hard to find good, honest, effective workers nowadays. And the Jacksonville manager far exceeds those traits.
Thank you for your time,
Alyssa Patterson

nike fort gibson high school tigers shirts no longer being put out for purchase
I've tried to emailing, calling and speaking to the manager in the store and can't get an answer from anyone regarding why the local Hibbets store no longer carried my High School Nike shirts as they do the other 2 local schools and as does the other hibbets store in the next town over. They used to carry our school but for the past year or 2 they no longer do and I can't get an explanation on why that is, I was told to contact corporate.
online purchase/ customer service do not purchase gift cards!!!
Hibbett Sports is a horrible company to try and purchase online! I was given three $25 gift cards as a birthday present I went to the local Hibbett store they had one small circular rack of women's clothes in the entire store. So I went online found what would do, not a good selection at all, went to purchase put gift card numbers in it told me gift cards had insufficient funds, I called and verified all three cards had $25 on. Called customer services, was told they would call me back in 3-5days...no such call. Went back online days later tried it again same thing went on chat with customer service, she told me she couldn't help gave me another number to call that number had a recording unavailable at this time leave message. VERY FRUSTRATING !
I went to my local store in Southeast Georgia. They had (1) rack of UGA clothes. One rack! In the state of Ga. So I call customer service. The guy on the other end sounded like he didnt give a [censored]! So I send customer service an email. I was emailed back rather quickly but they didnt give a [censored]. I was told that they would look into it. In my local store there were more racks of urban clothes than sport merchandise. Jeans in a sports store. JEANS! Way to drop the ball guys. Academy Sports here I come!
customer service
Does anyone ever answer the phone? I've been calling for the last 7 days and left several messages and no one has called me back. The store I shopped in was great but had I known that calling to complain about the shoes would be this complicated I would have took me $125 elsewhere! I would really love for someone to call me back because it's getting really old sitting on the phone listening to all reps are busy, blah blah blah and no I'm not leaving another vm because I haven't got a call back for the others that I've left! Worst customer service ever!

I am a mall walker that wants to stay anonymous, but for the last at least i have noticed the store manager is bringing her children to work everyday. I dont believe that her employees jobs is to babysit her kids and i dont think it is right or legal. If something doesnt change i will be forced to call child services. I hope you deal with this in a timely manner.
assistant manager
Mason the assistant manager at the commerce square store in Brownwood Texas closed the store at 8:50 when their hours clearly state 9pm on the door. He advised me that I could not pick up my sandals that I had already paid for previously. I asked him why the store was closing early and he stated he was suppose to regardless of what the sign stated. He said he was advised by Toby (district manager) to close early. He should not be an assistant manager and he just made me take my business elsewhere. We spend a lot of money in that store. We buy all 4 of our kids shoes there and mine and my husbands shoes also. Julie has always went out of her way to help us in any way possible so for him to be so rude and arrogant was shocking. Something should be done to see this wont happen again and to be sure u wont loae more business.
We regret to hear that you had a disappointing experience in our Brownwood store. Please contact our Customer Relations Team at [protected] Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM Central. Or, if you prefer, you may contact us via email at Customer.Feedback@Hibbett.com, and one of our Customer Relations Team Members will be in touch with you as soon as possible.
fake leather sneakers
I went to North Gate Mall in Durham, N.C. [protected], and proceeded to Hibbett Sports. I wanted to price some sneakers, I got the shock of my life when to my surprise the shoes were vinyl instead of leather. I quickly, called the people working there over and asked them where were their real leathers at. It was apparent that he did not know the difference. I...

Saturday 9/27-Been searching ALL day looking for "black Nike sleeves". I cant tell you how many stores I called and went to with no success. I called this store (Muskogee, OK) and spoke to Austin. I described, in detail (length, color, brand) and I stressed the importance of it being a sleeve not a shiver. He said that they only had one sleeve in stock and he would hold it for me. I drove 1 1/2 hours to this store. Austin was already gone but he did set me aside and item but these were NOT sleeves, they were shivers! The package clearly says SHIVERS. I was and I still am very upset. I spoke with Faith (Manager) and she was by far the most unsympathetic person I have ever come across. Not only was she totally unbothered by the fact that her employee did this but she refused to call any other stores (to see if they had it in stock) because she said "it would be rude to the other employees at different stores". That line of thinking was by far the dumbest thing I have ever heard. So its ok for your employees to let someone drive an hour and a half, thinking that they were being held the correct item that they have been looking for ALL day, just to get there and it was the WRONG item? Faith says that when people call and ask for sleeves they really want shivers. WRONG! I need sleeves not shivers! She was completely unhelpful. And Austin...well why would you hold something for someone (and I did tell him I was over an hour away) and not read the packaging? Why would you lie to your customer and tell them you have sleeves (in stock) when in fact all you had was shivers?
iam not satisfied
I bought a pair of Nike running shoe s at the Hibbet s sporting good s store in Carlsbad, NM. I didn't wear them much and I only bought them for running. One day I was running quite a distance and it began raining. Not what I expected. My shoe s where drenched in water. On my left shoe the bottom center of the shoe started bothering me and it felt like a nail was being driven into my foot. I tried to explain that to the manager as best as I could and he accepted my explanation and said he will replace the shoe s. No problem. I was given a new pair. I walked home in them and the next day (today) Saturday July 18 2015. I put them on and I looked at them and there was a sticky residue on the tip of my shoe on the mesh. It looked like cemen. I can remember while I was there in the store yesterday Friday July 17 that I saw the man walking in my direction from the back part of the store. I could see him through a glass window. I heard a female speaking to him and laughing as it seem s she came between me and the Hibbett s sale s representative. What could have happened during that time during the couple of minute s that she was with him I don't know. I returned to the store today and asked for them to be replaced. The manager said no and he will have to check with his pm . I told the black sale s representative that I didn't know what all the laughter was about and he denied knowing anything about the cemen on my shoe or the scratch on the Nike trademark, which was on the same left shoe and I feel insulted I want them replaced and I want the employee s and the manager fired from their position s they have for poor customer service. I am NOT satisfied! I designed the shoe for NIKE as well.
recommended purchase did not work out
I purchased Under Armour shoes, and it was highly recommended that I purchase the $30 insoles (Flat Food Sport) which I did. The insoles felt great, but I had to get a 1/2 size bigger shoe that usual. After using the insoles at the gym for 2 weeks, they just were not working out as I now have a constant ache in my arch. I was told I would be refunded for the insoles, but I found out that I have to mail them in - no problem. My problem is that now I have a pair of shoes that are too big to do my usual cardio workout. I was told that because I wore them and they could not be refunded or exchanged. I do have my receipt. Had I gone to another store such as Dicks or Vernon Powell in Salisbury, MD they would have been exchanged no problems. I will not go back to Hibbett Sports again for this reason. The service, however was wonderful. Hopefully I can recoup some of my money on ebay.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
could not exchange new shoes
I was in the Wytheville Va store and bought several pairs of tennis shoes...I live 60 miles round trip from Wytheville. I thought it would be a lot closer to go to Mercer Mall and exchange one pr for a larger pair. I was unable to do so. The blonde head coach informed me they had been worn and it would be better to take them back to Wytheville. I did not argue with her explained they were not worn only tried on. She still stated they had been worn. I took them to Wytheville and had no problem. The head coach there said they were not worn and she did not see the problem. I am very dissapointed and do not think I will ever go back to Hibbett. I could and did buy more merchandise in Wytheville because they were so nice and helpful...Thank u Mercer Mall Store Head Coach for nothing...
charage of wreckless endangerment of a child
I had a verbal altercation with the manager, She threw my change at me and told me to get the F*** out of her store. Then came around the counter and slung a clothing rack at me and my 4 year old daughter hitting her in the knee and brusing it. She is a 4 year old diabetic and has to have shots right above her knee so I took her to the emergency room and she is ok but it hurt her and she is still very upset over the incident. All the police would do is a report and a summons on the girl. What a joke! BUT it is not over by far.
I was in town last week and I was in a hurry to get to the school where I am coaching basketball so I stopped at Hibbett's in Muscle Shoals for a new pair of shoes and guess who I was greeted with. Lindsey Bevis! The same manager who assaulted my daughter exactly 2 years ago. I am in shock and disbelief. I was told that I...Let me repeat I have been trespassed from that store. What a shame and disgust. She was never convicted in court but its not over. God knows and sees all. I am very hurt and still upset that my child was not taken care of but I know time heals all wounds and my daughter, who is the most important one here, has forgotten most of the incident and will be fine. I on the other hand have learned that sometimes in life things are not fair but as I previously stated. Its not over. God is the final judge and He does not like to see His little children mistreated. I think we should just say a special prayer for her and the misery/anger she must have to be able to do this and never even as much as apologize.
The employee has been rehired and was not charged with anything. It has been two years and I went in there last week to look for a pair of shoes because I was in a hurry to get to the school that I am coaching at and when I walked in, I was greeted by her telling me that I... Let me say that again... I have been trespassed from that store. I can not see how they could let Lindsey Bevis back into her position after what she done to my child. I am amazed but what can I say. If the court system will not help then who will? All I can say is that God see's all and Im just going to leave it to the Lord.
I'd personally like to hear the manager's side of the story. As with any altercation, dispute, etc., there are always two sides to every story. Further, having been in vendor/customer disputes before, it is typical for a customer to skew all of the details of the facts. If this is a viable complaint, I hope it has its day in court so that justice can be served...how ever that may be.
This manager should number one be fired, and number two be a charge of assault should be taken out. You may have to go in front of the city magistrate and do that yourself. Call Muscle Shoals City Hall first thing tomorrow! This is wrong on so many levels, I would also contact WAFF news and report this to them, as well as the times daily! Make sure it is out in the publics attention and something will be done. This company doesnt want this kind of publicity especially this close to the holiday shopping season!

beware
I spent $85 at Hibbett Sports on pair of Jordans for my son. He wore them less then ten times only on hardwood for practice and games and the inside of one shoe began falling a part. I did not have the receipt only a the debit card statement, so the Hibbett Sports manager blew me off. The store manager who personally sold me the shoes was more concerned...
