Homethreads sent me a TV stand that was "wood", and it was actually paper and MDF. In order to return it, I need to send it back in its original packaging on my dime. It's not like I changed my mind, the product was $321, and worse than Ikea furniture; it was not "wood laminate". I'm going to be out $150 for return shipping and then a 10% restocking fee.

I had ordered a stainless steel bench on Homethreads.com. I never received a confimration email regarding my purchase (I later found the email in my spam folder). I reached out to customer service and they could not have been more helpful. Less than 5 days later the bench arrived and its been in our home ever since. I appreciate being able to pick up the phone and speak with an actual person who could assist me.

Regarding "HOME THREADS" I ordered 2 products totaling almost 400 on March 15th. I paid in full and it was apparently on back order until 6/22. I received one email checking if it was delivered. This was on 6/17. I contacted them. They told me it was on back order. Which was conflicting to the earlier email I received. I was told my order was back order until on 7/22. I waited this long so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. 7/22 came and went I did not here from them.. I Still did not have my products. I contacted them again. They said on back order until 8/13. Again I've waited this long so I contacted them by phone and 2 emails. Stating I still want the products.

worst company I have ever dealt with...told me the sofa and love seat were in stock. Only to find out they weren't. 6 months later they still showed in stock...even though I only got half my order (just the love seat)...sofa was delayed again. Tried to speak with a manager about it, but he wouldn't take to me...they just hung up on me. They then cancelled my sofa and told me that if I wanted to return the love seat there would be a 10% restocking fee and I would have to pay for the shipping. Which basically was the cost of the love seat. Will never do business with this company again.

Do NOT order from this company! I ordered furniture 2 months ago and still have not received my complete order that was supposed to be delivered in 7-10 days. When I try to get a refund, they refuse because they say my order is currently being processed! I asked them to pick up the pieces that were delivered, because it was a set and just refund my money, and they refused. Customer service is horrible... they start out polite, then get rude when you say you want a refund. $955 later and I do not have all of my office furniture. Save your money. I ended up buying pieces from a different company... they have all arrived!

I ordered a pricey piece of furniture from them in May, but it still wasn't shipped out to me by mid-July so I reached out to Homethreads to cancel the order as I was headed out of town for several months. I received a confirmation from Homethreads that my order was cancelled, so I left town assured that this wouldn't be an issue and I would receive a refund. Homethreads sent the item to my home anyway and provided no refund. I was fined by my building and my super threw out the item as it was too large to be stored for months in our lobby. Homethreads did not work with me to make this right even though they admitted it was their mistake. They should be put out of business.

Same! I wish I had read the reviews too. I'm now stuck in the Homethreads debacle 3-4 weeks after delivery date with only misinformation to lean on from their customer support team.
Ordered a table from home threads
Ordered a table from home threads. I was supposed to receive 2 packages.
I only received one. They claimed the other was delivered. The second package I was missing were the legs of the table. They would not accommodate me. They said it was delivered so they will put in a claim with the shipping company and after multiple follow ups I never heard an update. I then sent an email to customer service letting them know as a first time buyer they need to take care of their customers better. I now have a table top with no legs $500 later and there is nothing they can do about it. I never heard back with an update on the claim. I had to keep following up and they continued to tell me it was pending. I have worked in the service industry in the luxury sector for 20+ years and their customer service was unimpressive. Next time, take care of Your first time buyers. I will never shop homethreads again with my experience. I have my credit card company now disputing the charge! This is unacceptable!

My two large chairs, totaling $3000 we left in the rain by the deliverers (contracted by Homegoods). The chairs got wet and there is a black stain on one of them.
The chairs were delivered in the rain, left on my driveway with shrink wrap, boxed into a crate. This is NOT the type of service one would expect or pay so much money for.
I called the store and the representative was extremely nonchalant, and made it my business to contact the delivery company to resolve the issue. When I told him I wanted a refund, he told me that I would have to pay for the items to be delivered to them. Ultimately, I was told by *** that he would escalate the issue in regard to the delivery issue and stain. After having to follow up with him via email, today I am told that they won't do anything.
Admittedly, I could have purchased these from a store three hours away. With all the drama, and the subsequent stain, I should have. Do not waste your sanity and humanity with this company. You will be vexed!

Very unfortunate experience
Very unfortunate experience. I received a table cracked right down the middle that occured in the shipping. The table is 165 pounds. I was so excited about this table, so I was really sad that it was broken. They responded fast and (after I sent pictures) they spoke to the manufacturer. I absolutely wanted to replace it. I asked that the shipping be expedited (shipping issues are understandable - but I thought I would ask), that it be delivered whiteglove instead of drop off, and that I receive a discount for the issues. I was told "we will send you another table at "no extra charge." Everything else was a NO. They told me I could throw out the 165 pound table. Throw it out? I live in a city. This requires me to get in a car big enough to fit it and go to a landfill. Come to find out, I have to pay about $100 to dump it. They also told me they wouldn't pay for any trash costs. Massive headache with all the issues, and a resolution that satisfies THEM and not me. AND I'm paying in the end to get rid of it. What *** customer service. I guess you could say at least they gave me all the money back for the purchase? How nice of them. God, I'll keep my furniture purchases to brick and mortar companies that don't *** you in the end. Incredibly disappointed.

Called customer service 12/7 because I hadn't received any sort of update. It wasn't until I called that I received an e-mail telling me that my couch would be shipped on 1/19. Called today (1/20) because I still had not received any sort of update only to find out that It won't make it to the warehouse until 2/14. (Which is highly doubtful) First, you guys have to do better and be proactive about notifying customers about their orders. I guarantee it will minimize the amount of negative reviews. Second, Please do not give me the excuse about the ports being backed up and what not... I've ordered tons of things from overseas and they've mysteriously made it to me ON TIME in recent days. (one of the items being an entire VEHICLE.) Third, I paid you for a good. Therefore, I should be notified about the status of the goods that I purchased. SIMPLE as that. Fourth, the language on your website indicating, "ships in 3 weeks," is a bit deceptive. Indicating that items are in stock but they actually are not, is also deceptive. The disclaimers are SUPER vague. You're off to a rocky start Homethreads. I wouldn't be so frustrated if I hadn't paid so much money for my couch and had purchased the warranty on it. Considering I've waited this long, there had better not be a single thing wrong with the couch. I do not care about you not being responsible for the delivery. But do not expect your customers to be patient or to receive decent reviews for something that they waited to receive FOR MONTHS, only to find out that they have to pay to send it back and furthermore, wait for it to become "in stock" again. I'll consider a more positive review... when and IF I ever receive the $3K couch I ordered 3 months ago.
Terrible experience! Just basic dropshipping, so brace yourself for a 3-month wait for your order to even get shipped, if you're lucky. And when you dare to complain about the delay, they dangle a tiny discount in front of you that never materializes. Ended up canceling my order after waiting forever.
They are impossible. Their agents tell you conflicting information despite being weeks or months behind schedule in terms of shipping and delivery. If you order from them after reading this, then good luck LOL. Enjoy the terrible experience!

I was absolutely going to buy from homethreads until I looked up the reviews. So glad I did. First it states on the website that customer service is 5 star. On a scale of what? Because the flippant responses I see, it isn’t 5 out of 5. Satisfaction guaranteed also is obviously not a huge goal.
