My Honda Jazz was bought in Dec 2018. It started to have jerking problem after 3 months. I sent the car to Honda for warranty service.
First, Honda insisted that they found nothing wrong with my car and persuaded me to collect my car. I insisted to leave the car with them because I do not want to drive in a car that I do not feel safe in. Honda took another 1 1/2 months to be able to find out the problem. This is very unprofessional indeed! Imagine if I was persuaded to collect the car in the first place, I might have easily gone into a car crash if the car malfunctions.
Until today, Honda has been keeping my car for 3 months. I call them from time to time for updates, but Honda officers say they do not know when my car can be repaired and released, they cannot promise me anything, and they just tell me to wait patiently. Please bear in mind, I am still paying installment every month. This is really really terrible.

Good Day,
I'm Lasantha Sampath Jayasinghe Sri Lanka and recently diagnosed the problem of the ignition coil and today went to the Stafford Motors in Maradana in Colombo and checked the procedure for replacing the coil set.
Before I go there, was aware of the recall of the ignition coil for this model and company recalled and asked them to replace the coil set free of charge.
When I question about this, they were telling me that call me after one month and Honda company is not bothered about this now and it cannot sure whether it will be sending or not.
Kindly let me know the company stands on this so far because if the company does not facilitate, I should do it immediately with my own expense. ( Note that those parts are not often available in the market as well)
Appreciate if you could draw your attention and revet to me.

I'm sharing my story with you about a commercial fraud I'm currently facing with Honda (Qatar)
The story began when I purchased a brand new Honda Pilot 2016 model from Honda (Qatar) in March 2018 and paid an advance payment 30'000 QAR from the total price which was 153'000 QAR and I financed the remaining balance through Honda (Qatar) on equal installments over 3 years.
In July 2019 due to work related issues I decided to go back home in Egypt and leaving Qatar for good so accordingly I was clearing my things and from which I offered my Honda Pilot for sale. I made an advertisement and a buyer was interested in the car, after the agreement on the price we went to inspect the car as per the normal procedure in the used cars market trading.
The big surprise was after the inspection that the car body is painted in the following areas: (2 Left Doors Front and Rear + Car Bonnet + Car Front Bumper)
I was in shock and deiced to inspect it again so then I inspected in 3 different service centers and the results that I got were the same in each time I did the inspection.
Since I have not been involved in any accident since March 2018 and up to date as per the records of police traffic department and since I am the first owner of the car, this means that I was cheated by Honda (Qatar)selling me a painted car as a brand new car!
I made a customer complaint to the Consumer Protection and Commercial Fraud Department in Qatar to preserve all my rights, and we tried over the past two weeks to solve this issue unofficially without going to the court but it seems Honda (Qatar) isn't cooperating enough.
In the beginning Honda (Qatar) called me and asked to inspect the car in their service center and I agreed, I witnessed the inspection myself and the readings of the paint thickness in the right side of the car body were double and triple the thickness in the left side and still the inspectors were denying that the car was painted.
They kept denying and kept wasting time before they finally submitted a report against my complaint in the (Consumer Protection Department) CPD and the surprise that Honda (Qatar) report is confirming that there's paint in the car but they deny that this paint is by them which is not the truth. They are trying to cover on the big commercial fraud they did in the beginning by selling a painted car to the customer as a brand new car!
The CPD representative advised Honda (Qatar) to buy the car from me and solve the problem, they agreed because they know their mistake but the second day they offered me 80'000 QAR and my asking price was 105'000 QAR which was agreed with the buyer in the beginning of the story.
I refused Honda (Qatar) offer and the guy in Honda (Qatar) make sarcasm of me and told me if you refuse our offer then you can go to court!
Today finally I decided to go to the court and ask for all the damages affected me by buying a painted car and this will definitely result in closing the showroom of Honda (Qatar) again as it happened before due to similar case.
I've been dealing with Honda since 2010 and this is my second Honda car to buy since I moved to Qatar and I really never imagined that Honda would deceive their customers that way!
I'll give my case to a lawyer and he would do the necessary in the court with Honda (Qatar), as I'll be leaving Qatar on 16th August 2019 back home to Egypt.
I'll wait Honda feedback on the above said and explained ASAP

Known design or Manufacturing problem on the 2012 Honda CRV. honda ima/hybrid batteries
I have a 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid. In 2014 the Hybrid battery failed and I was lucky enough to have it replaced. These batteries have a LOT of well-known problems as were outlined in a Consumer Reports article in 2014. So the fact is the company clearly knows they don't work. Just recently my IMA battery went again and this time Honda refuses to replace it. I hope this helps others to understand that Honda is not standing behind their products.

An employee named libin who missed my key during the time of number plate fixing and he replaced it by fixing new key set. But after setting keys my bike gets completly damaged and the slow speed, kikker, breaks all were damaged by them. This is a cruel and very shameful act from the mechanic and from the salesman libin. I bought a honda jazz hybrid on dec 2017, and honda is so confident about jazz hybrid system uses lithium-ion batteries and it offers an 8-year warranty for the battery. What kind of nonsense warranty honda gave?! is cheating! my car now less than 1.5 years start to have issue on the hybrid battery. And the most ridiculous part is honda told me that there is no hybrid battery supply in malaysia, have to order from japan and it have to wait for about a month time! what i want to complaint here is how come honda sales this kind of cars, but there is no spare part supply in malaysia and have to ask the customer to wait up to a month time? this is cheating! if this is their policy, for the beginning when they promote the car they should get the customer informed! not after bought the car, and having problem than only told customer regarding this! people buying car is bring convinience to daily life not cause inconvenient to daily life! and now my car is park at dealer center just wait for the batery to deliver from japan! and the dealer never provide me any courtesy car! . How can malaysia allowed this kind unscrupulous business happen in malaysia! i feel being cheated! and now i got no car to use and everyday have to use grab for work! extra expenses for me in conjuction of paying monthly installment for the car! who is going to pay all this extra expenses to me? stress due to can't get transport to work daily, who are going to take responsibility on that? honda malaysia should bare all this!
Hi Sarah, looking from picture shared, my car faced exactly the same symptom like yours but their diagnosis turned out to be different than yours. At first they told me it’s the TCU problem, then the last breakdown they diagnosed to be wiring problem. I saw the cost for each repair, cost ranging from 2K to 4K to 8K, that’s absolutely crazy. Can’t imagine after the warranty ended and we are to bear the cost ourselves. I m thinking to collect more info while waiting to present my case in the tribunal. Do let me know if you have known other cases like yours. Any progress from the tribunal win or lose i will update you too. I think Honda shouldn’t be let off the hook so easily, especially the way they handle their customer after seeing the cars sold are problematic.
Man, i feel you. My own honda city hybrid 2017 broke down in total 7 times and Honda Malaysia beats around the bush with me. Their tactic is always deliver the message verbally so that you could not hold anything against them. I am so fade up and i lodge my case with kdpnhep, then they said they need to stop communicating with me because i lodge a case against them. From then they will only update kdpnhep and ask me any update liaise with car service center, but then they are also controlling the dealer from releasing any written info to you in case they maybe used against them as proof. Im bringing my case further to the Tribunal to see if any further justice could be done. It’s time Malaysia introduce Lemon Law like US and Singapore. Any new car with defect and not couldn’t be resolved should be replaced with a new car. Anyway, I will never buy Honda again. Sadly this is my first new car and it ended as a bad memory. Sad that it happens to us but glad to know I am not alone facing car issue with Honda (despite them telling me my case is isolated one and no other car faced problem like mine.)

honda vehicle did not deliver on promised date

I am writing this with great disappointment after failure of delivery of vehicle. I had promised to get Honda BR-V on 05/31/2019 but they did not deliver on 05/31/2019. In Pakistan we will be celebrating EID after 5day, I planned a lot on basis of my new vehicle but now everything vanished.
Honda Pakistan skipped my date of delivery even new vehicle available from their dealerships by paying extra money on invoice price.
I had talked to their sales Dept. (Ms. Sumaira) and they failed to satisfy me and just saying we are short of capacity. Then I tried to call their GM sales Mr. Amir to sort out the issue but no one picked the phone in his office. If Honda is short of capacity then should it be my problem? Honda should do something to increasing his capacity. If they cannot increase their capacity then it is better to close his business instead of demeaning customers.
When I talked to Ms. Sumaira again and informed her no one is picking the phone then she said I don't know why. When I said, I will complaint about this then she said hold and came back with saying, I talked to my Manager Mr. Arif and he try to accommodate you in current batch. But nothing happened till the moment I am writing this email.
This same thing happened for second time, previously in 2016 when I booked Honda City. Main problem in this is, dealerships selling vehicle on extra money.
Before booking BR-V, I had an offer from Honda dealership "Township Motors" to get new vehicle by paying extra 20000 rupees (over invoice price).
Now I am thinking I should not go for Honda vehicle in future. May be this doesn't matter for you but I will do that. Honda should do some compensation by delivering vehicle before EID.

Dear honda staff,
It was really bad experience happen to my honda city which automatically locked by itself even the keyless remote inside the car. (as one of the selling point of this type of car is safe with the car won't be locked if the keyless remote is inside the car.)
It happened during I bring my wife with kids at the shopping mall's car park. It happened so sudden while I closed the door after I put the bag at the passenger seat (keyless remote is inside the bag), the car automatically locked itself. My wife and I felt shock at that time. We really unable to imagine if my kids are inside the car...
I make a call to the salesman but somehow he told me all customer service is out of service (support working hours only) and unable to help. We are confused as the highly promote and said honda customer service is 24hours and no need worry wherever and whatever happens to your car. However, while this issue happened at the time just showing 10pm, the salesman said the customer service is out of service and pin-pointed the customer that install other fixture bla bla bla, but in fact we do nothing to the car except tinted on the windows.
All the while we are honda supporter but I really can't believe honda as a quality first company will gave me such a big surprise. I really hope sir/madam can take it seriously for the car safety issue!
As the situation is really seriously happened to me and gave the bad impact to my family :
Why car can automatically locked even the keyless remote is inside the car? Please imagine if my baby/ kid is inside the car and it locked suddenly? It really bring a very bad consequences if this happened. I hope this bad experience will not happen to me again and never to others families.

refuse to replace gearbox oil under their responsibility
I am owner of a 2016 Honda Pilot,
Yesterday, I went to Abdullah Hashim (Honda dealer in Saudi Arabia) for car maintenance as usual. Then, I asked for Engine and gearbox oil replacement. After that, the maintenance engineer inform me that because of the warranty expired after 3 years as an owner of the pilot you will be the responsible for any issue may happen to the gearbox after oil change! As per an email received last week from the top management. The car has 160, 000km and I am maintaining the gearbox oil change as per the manual every 40, 000km.
I am really surprise with this satiation which mean that Honda cars are not reliable and after a have paid around 47, 000$ now Honda can't guarantee the quality of gearbox after 160, 000 km?
Please I need an urgent action in order to solve such issue

On March 2, 2019 I purchased a 2019 Honda Ridgeline from Apple Honda in Riverhead NY for 37, 500$.
On May 2, 2019 while driving my Ridgeline home from work on a very busy highway, the engine stopped. The engine warning light never came on and I was left in the middle of the highway. A good samaritan stopped to direct traffic around me until the police and after an hour a tow truck came. It was an extremely dangerous situation.
The truck was towed to Apple Honda. The service department explained that it was a faulty fuel line and fixed it promptly.
I spoke with a sales manager (Don). I explained my situation. He offered to sell me a 2017 Honda Ridgeline ( 20, 000 miles)for 30, 000, I was not interested in another 2019. My Ridgeline has 2000 miles on it. He explained that by driving my truck off the lot it depreciated 5000$ and he could make the trade but it would cost me more money. He also asked if I wanted to lease a car.
I want to feel safe driving. I asked that he give me the 2017 and 7500$ he declined.
Honda cares about money not safety. I would never recommend Honda to anyone. I pray this doesn't happen to anyone else.

My mileage during service for 70, 000 KM is 46, 467 KM(mileage before 36, 000 KM) as my car already reached 10, 000 KM schedule (10, 000 KM or 6 months) whichever comes first. As my service package stated, for service 70, 000 KM, there is no labor fee. However, when I arrived at service centre, service advisor include labor fee in my invoice. I have to pay because my car need to be service. The service advisor did give explanation, the reason I need to pay for labor fee is because I service my car too early.
