Houston Automotive & Transmission Center On December ****, I took my 1992 *** truck to the automotive and transmission shop center on ***

On December ***, I took my 1992 *** truck to the automotive and transmission shop center on ***. They told me it would be ready in 1 week. The following week, they said the supplies hadn't arrived due to the holidays, and it would be pushed back to January ***. In January ***, they informed me that the supplies still hadn't arrived but assured me they would be there the following week. Finally, in February ***, the supplies came in, and they promised it would be ready. However, they mentioned that the shop had been affected by the covid situation.

They asked me to pay upfront because they couldn't find the original parts for my 1992 *** truck. So, I paid $1,850 in cash and check and received an updated receipt in March ***. I had to call the police to have my car returned to me because it was blocked by other broken-down cars in the shop, and I couldn't access it with my spare key. After contacting the *** Police, they informed the towing company, who then said they would contact a person named Cole. Cole eventually returned my call and mentioned that the owner, Logan ***, doesn't use text or answer voicemails. He also mentioned that the shop is often closed and locked throughout the day.

After 3 months, I received a picture showing my car on the racks. However, I noticed that the driver's side mirror was completely missing, even though it was there when I dropped off the car in December. When I went to pick up the car, there was no one at the shop. *** gave me the keys and said it was ready, as Cole had sent a text confirming it the previous Friday. The next day, when I drove the car, it didn't sound any different. I looked under the hood and noticed that a bracket wasn't installed correctly. When I asked about the missing mirror, they said it hadn't been ordered yet.

Yesterday, I received a text from Cole stating, "your transmission was never rebuilt. Logan *** didn't change it out and put in a used one. This could damage the new engine you had installed in November ." I replied to the text, but I didn't receive a response from Logan. When I tried to contact the shop again, it seems like they have blocked me. I am now requesting a refund of $1,850.
