HUGHESNET Services,
I find this very UN-ethical for a company that does not produce what they are supposed to refusing to refund charges. Service was so bad and when we would call, the blame was on us. The computer said we had internet but it kept saying “No Connection”. We called and got the same programmed routine saying that we used up our time and that on the 5th it would start over or to unplug this or that. HughesNet could send out a repair man for a charge.
We finally called again September 1, 2023 that we had No Connection or that it would go on and off constantly. An appointment was set up for September 6, 2023 at which time it was take it or leave it. Going that long without service was unacceptable. On September 5th we called to cancel service and service repair. Customer Service said that she would send us an e-mail (at that time) stating our cancellation and sending a box for the equipment to be sent back. No e-mail or box arrived. In purchasing your service, your Representative said that we could cancel anytime after 2 years without penalty. We received the box on October 2, 2023 and equipment was returned.
If Hughesnet feels that they can abuse senior citizens, so be it. But it will be known how Hughesnet conducts business.
Desired outcome: My desired outcome would be for HughesNet to refund to our credit card the $82.03 withdrawn for no connection/service. I'd appreciate a response and an address to communicate.
