IGA condense milk
I opened my can of condense milk this morning and n top. I have included pictures of the inside. This can was purchased at a Carly C IGA at 4111-101 New Bern Ave, Raleigh, NC 27610 on 11/15/2024. This is very disturbing. It leads me to believe that Quality Assurance is not followed in your distribution center. This can is not doe to express until May 10, 2026. The number on the bottom is [protected]:34 02.
What can I do to get these pull off your shelves? If there was hair in my, can I be certain there is some in others.

The onions were bought and used the same day (July 7th 2023), so the pack was brand new.
Most of the onions in the pack that I bought were rotten in the center. Note that I made sure to chose the pack that looked the most fresh. This isn't the first time that this happens. It happened approximately tow weeks ago. Both packs were opened the day they were bought.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund as well as an additional gift card. It would help if the problem is solved at its root so that it won't happen again. The fact that the onions are rotten means that I can't cook and that I have to buy some more

Sent my husband to buy a melon he bought the wrong one on the 12 of june 2023 we live far so he could not go back on the same day. He could only go back on june 16 in the morning and they would not refund him or give him a credit they did not care. I do not think this is right. Food cost so much and your store really does not care. This is not good costumer service. The melon was not cut or anything.

A couple of weeks ago I complained about the price of honey crisp apples at my Redwater, Alberta store. At that time the price was $5.29 per pound which I thought ridiculous unless the seeds are made of gold? I was in there again this week and again $5.29 PER POUND! Your company states we are listening to you. Well your not listening to me! Nice to know that IGA doesn't care for there customers ! Thank you! Good Bye!
Confectionery
The store is selling individually wrapt snack sized Cadbury chocolate variety bars that are clearly labelled “not to be sold separately” at the cashier.
I made the point to the store owner that they shouldn’t be selling them, in his absolute arrogant and rude response he told me, “they are damaged, they came damaged”, to which I responded, “they should then be returned to your supplier”. I also pointed out that the store was making a profit from damaged items that have not been labelled as such for consumer awareness.
Desired outcome: Contact store make it clear that items not to be sold separately shouldn’t be selling consumers need to be aware that damaged stock is being sold
Lottery fraud
On 31st December 2022, I went to IGA champion supermarket at 3 wood street long gully, Victoria at approximately 11.10am. I scanned my Lotto ticket and it said “prize winner complete prize claim form”. Out of curiosity, I approached the cashier to help check how much I might have won. She took the ticket and said you won only 14 box and I am going to have to pay you and take the ticket. I said I want my ticket back, which she refused. I asked for receipt of the 14 dollars paid and she screamed at me to get out of the premises. I spoke with the other cashier to ask who the manager was so that I can complain, and she said the same cashier interrupted saying “I am the manager do something about it”. I left the premises and filed a complaint with lotto as I believe I she might have committed fraud. Please investigate this further as the elderly Australian are vulnerable to this type of fraud from the so called Lotto manager.

Jobs at waroona iga wa
I have lived in Waroona WA for just over 7 years and have applied for jobs there every time they come available. I have never been successful or even an interview. The only way to get a job there is being friends with a worker or a family relative, as I have found they are kids of a parent that works there, then it is the friends looking for work. I think this is unfair to the community as this is supposed to be a friendly community store but its not that. Can you please forward this to the owner of Waroona IGA I have also filled out a form at customer support but they did nothing I would just like the owner to read issue and resolve it,
Desired outcome: i would like to see a person who dose not work at iga handle job applications or online though a job search and not up to the manger at the store

I went shopping at IGA this evening. I had subscribed to the IGA newsletter and obtained a 5$ coupon for my next miminum of purchase of 5$ or more
The manager, I believe, stated he could not see what was written He stated that I had to spend 40$ or more. I showed him the coupon that clearly expresses it's a minimum purchase of 5 $ and that they just had to scan it as it says. He told me he was not accepting the coupon, embarassed me in front of other clients. He made it quite clear that he was not accepting this at his IGA and proceeded to tell the other cashiers not to accept the coupons. This is unacceptable.. I feel he is misrepresenting your company policy, and it is contraindicating. I don't know why IGA bothers stamping out these? invalid coupons if you're not going to honour them. This is a form of false advertising.
I come from a very social active community and I feel that word of mouth is very important, especially in the area where I am situated and be sensitized to the strong Jewish clientele.
The IGA is the one situated in Cote Saint Luc mall, in Montreal.
Desired outcome: Employees are made aware and more knowledgeable of these promotions as well as the manager .

My son was hired to stock shelves. I felt he was hired because they thought he was Filipino, and he isn't he is an aboriginal. He was the only person on staff with being an aboriginal. On more than one occasion he was given instructions, and did the tasks as instructed, however the manager was told he wasn't following any instructions. When he started his 15 min break the others told the manager that he was in the break he was over his time limit when he just started his break. The manager would have a talk to my son with the complaint and not let him explain or defend himself. This experience working at the Russell IGA destroyed my young sons self-confidence and makes me very disappointed with this local store.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology to my son Wade and for this not to affect his reputation for employment else where.
Wrong Cigarettes
Hi, I just opened a packet of menthol cigarettes from IGA Beach Street, Frankston. The guy behind the alcohol counter said “think I found them”. He’s been there for years surely he knows the difference. Too busy chatting with other store Members to focus & get it right for the Customer. I shouldn’t have to check every time I buy cigarettes. I asked for JPS Gold with no mention of menthol. Back to the store at 7am maybe they will swap them. Frustrating & annoying, unprofessional & expensive. Brigitte

I have spent 10s of 1000s of dollars at your store for my family over that last several years, and I think this might have been my last day ever going to IGA in Quebec. I don't know what your politics is about music, but playing dirty sexually perverse loud 80s music in the store is just insulting and disturbing. For whatever silly reasons you don't want to play Christmas music. Okay, whatever, but then turn down the volume and play some instrumental music of any kind instead of offensive lyrical music that promotes violence, hatred and sexual abuse. "Dirty laundry... kick them when they are up, kick them when they are down."... I don't care what the rationale is for the socalled artist of the music. I don't go shopping to listen to "cultural pundits" who want to make statements. Its racist, sexist and and promotes violence to minors. Wake up! Until I hear a public statement I am going to use my considerable social media clout to bring attention to the terrible marketing practices, not to mention the ridiculous price increases at your stores.

Produce, meat, empty shelves
I am making a complaint about the fruit and vegetables that are almost always old or full of mold. The meat shelves are always empty and the rest of the store is also empty most of the time, we are feed up of having nothing to eat but products that nobody wants. The previous complaint was received by a young girl who's job is was to offer a bribe and believed that it would fix the community complaints. It was even put onto Facebook about the disgust in the managing of the store and people commented that regardless of its state we should still support our local store. It is very convenient to have it there, but please give the Lease to more capable contender.
Thanks for sending me he List of Specials you have each week, but I am over the fact that I cannot even buy what I go down to the shop for. Here we are once again barely in the middle of the week and the Store is once again near empty of what I am after. This Store is far, far beyond a joke now. Shelves are always displayed like it has been hit by a 100 people in one day, but the fact is that these shelves are like this for days on end.
If the store is raided by a Supervisor from IGA at least twice a week they will understand where I am coming from.
Why doesn't your company surrender the lease to a franchise that can run the store and look after this community? Woolworth's, Coles, Blake's or Aldi.
Please do the community a favor and just close it down and hand it over to someone that knows what they are doing.

A couple of months ago a uniformed security guard working in an IGA store (in Montreal) walked up to me and kindly advised me that customers must leave their bags at the front. In all the decades I've shopped at grocery markets I've never encountered such an incident and never at any other IGA store I shopped at in that city. Upon further investigation in a reply from the Head Office and the store's assistant manager, , IGA apparently leaves it up to store managers to decide their own security policies -as such at this particular store, they decided to leave the policy in place, even though the regular staff see it as unnecessary apparently. No other grocery stores are permitting security guards to approach customers and harass them while shopping and telling them they need to put their bags at the front... An ignorant stupid idea that NO OTHER grocery stores dare try to enforce - because it is pointless and and makes some customers never come back. The resul now is that I shop at IGA's competitors nearby; where the checkout line-ups have half the customers carrying their bags ready/convenient for their purchases. So, IGA now loses my annual $2k grocery budget as a result. If this store loses one customer a week who feel like me (after a security guard is forced/obliged by the manager) to fuss with customers, then, after 2 years, that IGA store is losing $100, 000 from lost customers with an annual $2k annual grocery budget - just due to a stupid, aggressive, anti-customer policy that no other grocery supermarket would ever use. Your loss IGA - you should decide at Head Office to ban policies like this from being used by store managers throughout your chain of stores.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Some of the employees at this grocery store seem to be choosey about which customers they will give good service to and which ones they will not. For some reason I fell into the second category, in spite of the fact that I don't know any of them outside of the store. One employee gives me dirty looks and completely ignores me while greeting everyone around me and asking if they need help. Some of the cashiers are the same way, being overly friendly to other customers and giving me a cold shoulder. I spent enough time working in the service industry to know that it is not uncommon for employees to make fun of customers they don't like and give them bad service, but I have given none of these people any reason to act this way toward me. For this reason I have decided to never shop at the City Grocery in Tacoma again.
