After a friend suggested using this company, I figured I would try them out. They were very friendly and efficient. They loaded the truck in 50 minutes and were done unloading at the new place within the next hour. All the furniture was wrapped well. Good job!

I thought I had done my due diligence in researching this company on ComplaintsBoard.com and reading reviews. When we first got our quote I specifically asked if they used brokered trucks and they reassured me that they use all their own fleet and drivers. The day prior to the move we were contacted by MSN logistics not Illinois Movers who said they broker with Illinois Movers. We were not informed about any affiliated companies prior to this call. On moving day they arrived in a rented truck and non-uniformed drivers. The movers themselves were diligent and moved and loaded our furniture carefully. Once our stuff was picked up we had a very difficult time getting in touch with the company to get information on our delivery time. Multiple times we were told our belongings would arrive the next day and when they didnt arrive the company could not provide any details as to why or give us an idea of when we could expect it. The customer service agents are all through MSN logistics not Illinois Movers and it is impossible to get in contact with anyone actually affiliated with Illinois movers. The customer service agents make you call them, there is no proactive communication. In the end our belongings arrived several weeks late, again the movers themselves did a good job with our things. Was helping a friend move and they used these guys for most of the bulk. They pretty much tool care of everything. I just pretty much helped them unpack once all the items were at their new place. They still got me with Pizza even though I didn't help them move much. Thanks for all the help.

No doubt, this movers are within the top 3 moving companies here. I had my last visit with them yesterday. I am amazed with all their services. They were polite, punctual
They were polite, punctual. Professional, and took great care of each individual item as if it were their own. They either would jog up the stairs or take two stairs at a time...the entire day at both locations. The best part of the move was that nothing was broken! I read a lot of reviews before choosing a moving company and I am very happy that I went with this company.

They were cheaper than most quotes, arrived on time, really nice and friendly, wrapped my furniture well and quickly carried everything up and down multiple flights. I'd highly recommend. I had 3 guys. I rarely review but I had to for these guys it was worth every ***. Very pleasant experience!

I hired Illinois Movers after a friend recommended them to me. To be honest, I am glad that I chose to go through them. I really didnt want to do this job by myself, but moving companies can be so expensive. But thanks to this company, I got the professional help I needed for the cheap price I wanted! At first when I called them and explained my situation, they said they would be here in two days. Much to my surprise, they came in one day and did their job amazingly. And they were extremely careful with my stuff, no scratches or breakage. Very impressed!

Illinois Movers *** had me move out of my apartment within an hour and then had my boyfriend move out of his place in about two hours! They worked very efficiently while still being careful with all of our furniture. They helped assemble and reassemble all of our bedroom furniture so that we were as settled as could be for the first night in our new place. I would highly recommend Illinois Movers *** to any of my friends and would hire them again for future moves!

We do not recommend this moving company and here are the reasons why. We hired this company based on the promises of the salesperson. She said she would send her best crew to our home. They would pack us, load and deliver and unload. All the same team. It would be a dedicated and direct delivery. We moved from Illinois to ***. We set a pickup date and paid an extra *** for packing and $2,000 extra for a direct and dedicated delivery. Heres what really happened. Our packing crew showed up 2.5 days later than promised. They state on their website that they have customer service 24/7. They do not. No one answers their phone after hours or on weekends, and their voicemail box was always full. The packing crew spent so much time on their cell phones it was 10:30 pm before they were finished (and they didnt show up to start packing until noon!) And we spent 6 hours packing the kitchen, dining room and closets ourselves so they could finish. Our quote was for *** cu ft. The *** on the packing crew showed us the inside of the truck and *** a line where *** cu ft ended. if we went over this line we would be charged extra. We got out a tape measure and recalculated the cu ft. Turns out his calculations were 200 cu ft short. In the end our goods only took up *** cu ft but of course there was no refund for coming in less than the quote. Our truck did arrive at the destination within the promised timeframe. However our goods were unloaded and repacked into a larger truck which enabled the movers to deliver someone elses goods along the way. Which they did. So this was NOT a dedicated and direct delivery that we paid an extra $2,000 for, and a different crew delivered our goods than the crew who did the loading. We had a chair that was completely smashed upon delivery. We feel this company misrepresented their services and promises. We feel we were over charged for services we did not receive.

This review is on behalf of Illinois Movers, Inc., who partnered with ***, on my recent move from a 2-bedroom apartment in ***, *** to another in ***, . I have two words to summarize: STAY AWAY! If you are considering either of these companies, sign yourself up for a marathon that starts at their office door and goes *** miles in the opposite direction. Then choose another mover. I made the mistake of allowing their crews of incompetent thieves to touch my belongings, and then had the misfortune of getting cheated out of equitable re-compensation by their team of lying administration personnel. During my move:-- I had a brand new $2k+ *** stolen (65")-- I had a queen *** a full-size *** and a large leather sectional couch that were dirtied and infested with a smell of diesel fuel/used motor oil and other fumes (I could not remove the odor after using two bottles of fabric odor eater and cleaner)-- I had two lamps destroyed I figured I'd at least be given an apology and re-compensated within reason. However, take a guess what they offered? Oh, a super generous $110 check for about $5,500 of damaged/missing items (even following their policy of $.60/lb., I should have been entitled to around $400 -- LOL). In hindsight, I would have been better off (and significantly happier) had I chucked all my belongings from the window of my 26th-floor apartment in ***, booked a flight to my destination, and then bought all new belongings upon arrival. The issues didnt stop there, however. The movers that picked up my belongings did not pick up nearly the amount of stuff they were contracted to pick up. Even though I had paid for a full pack job, they decided it was too late to continue packing that evening and left me with a full SUV load of belongings to transport myself without a vehicle. Then, upon arrival to my destination, not only did my belongings arrive a full week later than their allowed window (they gave themselves a 2-week window and arrived 3 weeks after my move-in day), but the companies also would not provide any form of hospitality re-compensation such as a temporary bed or hotel in the time that I had an empty apartment and nowhere to sleep. Even after not honoring their contract and arriving late, the delivery personnel had the audacity to demand an extra $200 payment to move my items up one flight of stairs into my new second-floor apartment. And then I discovered the missing *** and the damaged belongingsUpon acknowledging all of this, the movers insisted that I just call, and keep calling the office to seek compensation, and scurried off without any form of assistance, even though they had a note on their inventory form that the *** was missing. Not once was I ever able to speak to a human being in the office; instead, I received an email to file a claim, which resulted in the $110 offering. Additionally, in claims filed with my credit card company and bank, the movers lied about the premise of the issue, claiming that the problem I brought forward was about misreporting and a misunderstanding, and fully sidestepping the fact that it was a claim seeking assistance to deal with stolen, lost, and damaged goods and two spineless companies that cowardly could not admit they couldnt complete an honest move. All in all, my mistake of choosing these companies cost me about $10,500 after factoring in the moving charges, losses from stolen and damaged belongings, the purchases of new replacement items, and the additional moving charges accrued from having to ship the rest of the belongings they did not pack. This also doesnt include the time I spent on phone calls, sending emails, creating documentation of their thievery, and the stress and anxiety it brought during an already-difficult transition. Although I must give a minimum of 1 star, that is immensely too generous. I'd give NEGATIVE stars if I could. I'll also note this was my first time ever using a moving company, and it'll be hard to ever do so again. Please avoid these companies at all costs!

My complaint is against Illinois Movers, Inc. in ***, Illinois.I contracted with them for a cross country move from *** to *** on July 16, and was quoted a rate of $6,300.00. This started with unprofessional movers that mistreated my belongings and now they have my belongings and will not tell me when I will receive my items. I was yelled at and mistreated by the movers and their supervisor, an employee covered in sweat laid on my couch with his shoes on, the employees sang and yelled in my apartment, laid on the horn outside of my place while I was signing my final paperwork, etc. They have had my items for 21 and I have no idea when my items are going to show up. I am sleeping on the floor and I cannot go see my sick parents who are out of state because I have to be there for the delivery and they won't tell me when that is. I want to know when my stuff is coming and I want financial compensation for all of this trouble.

I have so many complaints about this company, but I will just list the most important ones that I want resolved 1) After looking through our belongings we noticed we were missing several boxes from my daughters room. I called *** the operations person to inform them of our missing belongings. He said he would get back to me in a few days. Its been well over a week and I have heard nothing back and I can't seem to get a hold of anyone now that they have all their money. 2)They damaged a lot of our furniture, and broke a lot of our belongings so I asked how they are going to compensate us for it. *** was suppose to email me them. I paid Ilinois Movers ~$2200 to move things from IL to CA. They picked up on 6/22 and dropped off 7/16 (a week later than initially told with a lot of damage to belongings ). They lost a box of important belongings. I filed a claim. It has been difficult to get ahold of them, as they often don't answer the dispatch number. When I have gotten ahold of them, I have to re-start the process as there have been no notes entered in the system about my issue by the person I spoke to the time before. I last contacted them a week ago. They always say they will call back but I have never received a call from them. I have attempted to contact them this week and the number that has worked for 1.5mo is out of service. When calling the main number, no one answers when choosing the dispatch option. I contacted them via their website chat and was given a number that was out of service. When I told the person on the chat, they ended the conversation abruptly. I can't get ahold of anyone there.

Contacted the company July 25th. Spoke with *** and explained the move was going to be from ***, *** to ***, *** and that I was looking for next day delivery service. *** needed to speak with his supervisor ***. *** called and told me that next day delivery was available. The move was Friday, July 30th. I paid a deposit of $780.00. July 30th I received a call from the lead mover who tells me I have to pay $50 for each tv to be wrapped as well as $700 additional for 5 additional totes that we had. I was told to Zelle $1264 (which is not how I initially paid) to the lead movers supervisor, ***. From this point until August 2nd we had no correspondence with the movers nor the company. An email prompted a customer service rep to contact us. The rep called my wife. My wife asked when we were going to receive out items? She was told our items were in storage and would not be departing until Thursday, August 5th and would not be delivered until Saturday, August 7th.

I asked why I was only now hearing this, and he told me that according to the contract they have 21 business days from the first available drop off. This company is targeting consumers to scam us out of more money. They were supposed to come Sunday, I received a phone call Monday 15 minutes prior to location of pickup. I didn't hear from them all week. Munashe also tried to contact *** who did not return her calls as well. They even left items in my storage! I also signed a *** of *** form to have *** be allowed to open the storage space for them.This company is scamming for more money that I should not have to pay. My belongings are still in Illinois, which should be here in Georgia. I am seeking some type of assistance. Please help.

This review is on behalf of Illinois Movers, Inc., who partnered with ***, on my recent move from a 2-bedroom apartment in ***, *** to another in ***, . I have two words to summarize: STAY AWAY! If you are considering either of these companies, sign yourself up for a marathon that starts at their office door and goes *** miles in the opposite direction. Then choose another mover. I made the mistake of allowing their crews of incompetent thieves to touch my belongings, and then had the misfortune of getting cheated out of equitable re-compensation by their team of lying administration personnel. During my move:-- I had a brand new $2k+ *** stolen (65")-- I had a queen *** a full-size *** and a large leather sectional couch that were dirtied and infested with a smell of diesel fuel/used motor oil and other fumes (I could not remove the odor after using two bottles of fabric odor eater and cleaner)-- I had two lamps destroyed I figured I'd at least be given an apology and re-compensated within reason. However, take a guess what they offered? Oh, a super generous $110 check for about $5,500 of damaged/missing items (even following their policy of $.60/lb., I should have been entitled to around $400 -- LOL). In hindsight, I would have been better off (and significantly happier) had I chucked all my belongings from the window of my 26th-floor apartment in ***, booked a flight to my destination, and then bought all new belongings upon arrival. The issues didnt stop there, however. The movers that picked up my belongings did not pick up nearly the amount of stuff they were contracted to pick up. Even though I had paid for a full pack job, they decided it was too late to continue packing that evening and left me with a full SUV load of belongings to transport myself without a vehicle. Then, upon arrival to my destination, not only did my belongings arrive a full week later than their allowed window (they gave themselves a 2-week window and arrived 3 weeks after my move-in day), but the companies also would not provide any form of hospitality re-compensation such as a temporary bed or hotel in the time that I had an empty apartment and nowhere to sleep. Even after not honoring their contract and arriving late, the delivery personnel had the audacity to demand an extra $200 payment to move my items up one flight of stairs into my new second-floor apartment. And then I discovered the missing *** and the damaged belongingsUpon acknowledging all of this, the movers insisted that I just call, and keep calling the office to seek compensation, and scurried off without any form of assistance, even though they had a note on their inventory form that the *** was missing. Not once was I ever able to speak to a human being in the office; instead, I received an email to file a claim, which resulted in the $110 offering. Additionally, in claims filed with my credit card company and bank, the movers lied about the premise of the issue, claiming that the problem I brought forward was about misreporting and a misunderstanding, and fully sidestepping the fact that it was a claim seeking assistance to deal with stolen, lost, and damaged goods and two spineless companies that cowardly could not admit they couldnt complete an honest move. All in all, my mistake of choosing these companies cost me about $10,500 after factoring in the moving charges, losses from stolen and damaged belongings, the purchases of new replacement items, and the additional moving charges accrued from having to ship the rest of the belongings they did not pack. This also doesnt include the time I spent on phone calls, sending emails, creating documentation of their thievery, and the stress and anxiety it brought during an already-difficult transition. Although I must give a minimum of 1 star, that is immensely too generous. I'd give NEGATIVE stars if I could. I'll also note this was my first time ever using a moving company, and it'll be hard to ever do so again. Please avoid these companies at all costs!
We do not recommend this moving company and here are the reasons why. We hired this company based on the promises of the salesperson. She said she would send her best crew to our home. They would pack us, load and deliver and unload. All the same team. It would be a dedicated and direct delivery. We moved from Illinois to ***. We set a pickup date and paid an extra *** for packing and $2,000 extra for a direct and dedicated delivery. Heres what really happened. Our packing crew showed up 2.5 days later than promised. They state on their website that they have customer service 24/7. They do not. No one answers their phone after hours or on weekends, and their voicemail box was always full. The packing crew spent so much time on their cell phones it was 10:30 pm before they were finished (and they didnt show up to start packing until noon!) And we spent 6 hours packing the kitchen, dining room and closets ourselves so they could finish. Our quote was for *** cu ft. The *** on the packing crew showed us the inside of the truck and *** a line where *** cu ft ended. if we went over this line we would be charged extra. We got out a tape measure and recalculated the cu ft. Turns out his calculations were 200 cu ft short. In the end our goods only took up *** cu ft but of course there was no refund for coming in less than the quote. Our truck did arrive at the destination within the promised timeframe. However our goods were unloaded and repacked into a larger truck which enabled the movers to deliver someone elses goods along the way. Which they did. So this was NOT a dedicated and direct delivery that we paid an extra $2,000 for, and a different crew delivered our goods than the crew who did the loading. We had a chair that was completely smashed upon delivery. We feel this company misrepresented their services and promises. We feel we were over charged for services we did not receive.
