Employer job posting account
I have been a employer customer of Indeed for over 3-years. My company is a large, highly respected medical products distributor. We have never had issue with the type of postings we place in search of field sales personnel and regional sales managers. On August 15, 2023, I logged on to Indeed.com and saw that my account had been "paused." Unaware of why...

INDEED continues to post "job" listings for Mapleton Marine, long after this has been identified as a scam.
Having contacted Mapleton directly, was informed that this has been going on for a considerable time.
INDEED should have, by this time, found a way to eliminate these listings, and not allow them to be posted on their system.

Serco recruitment process
I applied for a position as Housing Officer at County Hotel in Skegness, Lincs.
I was offered and accepted the post.
All recruitment checks completed.
I was then they did not have a position at this site and I could work at another site. The comparisons fore travel and travel time are:
14 miles/30 minutes both ways v 76 miles, 2.5 hours both ways.
I am told they can offer me work immediately at the further site, but no work at the site I was provided with a contract for.
The position should not have been advertised if this was unavailable.
In summary, I am told I can work if this is the further away site but there is no work for me at the site I applied and was accepted for.
Desired outcome: To work at the site recruited to. Investigate recruitment process.

Nightmare Experience with Indeed: Poor Customer Service and Unjustified Account Suspension
As a business owner and employer, I want to share my experience with using Indeed for job postings. I must say that I am extremely disappointed with the service that they provided. I own a company that has several brands, including a new brand that we are developing during the pandemic that is exclusively for an online video game. We have been working on the game for many months and decided to post on Indeed to hire another short-term developer for the next few months to help take us through to launch.
The hiring campaign started off well, and we were in the middle of scheduling and conducting interviews when our account was abruptly and silently suspended. Indeed claimed that they could not verify that we were a legitimate company. This was a huge shock to us, and we were left in the dark with no communication from Indeed. This action has caused a lot of harm to my company by delaying our hiring process, damaging our relationship with potential staff, and making us look unprofessional to potential employees.
The "appeal" process was a nightmare. We were treated like criminals by an unnamed, anonymous employee who made totally unjustified and outrageous demands to access confidential business records or documents as "proof" that we are a real company. When I provided not one but three active websites for a variety of the businesses owned by my company, their "client success team" simply rejected the appeal and punted me off to some other department. The level of customer service I have received as an employer is astoundingly bad.
If they had legitimate concerns about verification of company identity, they could have addressed those concerns at the start, before the hiring process had already been underway for a week and entered the interview stage. More importantly, any reasonable or legitimate question about account identity could have been easily resolved by simply sending an email request. Instead, they abruptly severed a process without discussion or consultation, then began making outrageous demands for access to confidential documents.
The bottom line is that Indeed is a company with utterly horrible customer service towards their clients, the employers. As a business owner, I strongly recommend that other employers go elsewhere for their job posting needs. The experience that I have had with Indeed has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I would hate for anyone else to go through what I have gone through.
Mixed Experience with Indeed: Positive in 2015, Negative in 2021
I remember using Indeed back in 2015 and having a positive experience. I gave it 4 stars and titled my review "common job good result". I posted a job for an office clerk and received a good number of applicants. This was different from when I posted an instructor job, which didn't receive as many applicants. I think it's because the office clerk job didn't have many requirements. The job posting said "you must be detail-oriented", but none of the resumes or cover letters mentioned anything about being detail-oriented. People will still send in their resumes even if they don't meet the requirements, so it's not the site's fault, it's the candidate's.
I suggested that the site should have "checkable" filter fields. For example, if an employer has 5 "checked - MUST" fields as the criteria, candidates who don't check these fields won't be able to submit their resumes through Indeed. This would be a helpful feature for employers.
The customer service was very responsive and even called my office directly to provide help. I was impressed and decided to continue using Indeed.
However, my last experience with Indeed was extremely bad. In September, I posted a job for an office clerk and received an overwhelming number of applicants. I filtered out 7 candidates and set up interviews with them. However, 6 of them never showed up and didn't call back. When we emailed them, almost all of them said they got an offer "right before" the interview. This was very suspicious and unlikely. In my over 30 years of working in different industries, I have never had such an experience. It was frustrating and a waste of time.
When I posted a response to customer support, they called my office directly to offer some kind of sponsorship to my job posting, like $200. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do this because I couldn't definitively blame Indeed for what happened. I could have investigated further by checking if the phone numbers were generated by Google, but I didn't have time for that. I decided to drop my rating to 3 stars instead of 1.
My suggestion to Indeed is to add ethical and professional clauses for job seekers to minimize this kind of behavior. Until then, I won't be posting another job on Indeed. I also think that this site would work better if you're a paid sponsor.
Indeed's New Account "Protocols" Need Improvement - Frustrating Experience for Paying Customers
Update - So, I got a response from Indeed and they finally acknowledged my concerns and issues. It took a while, but they were able to quickly get my job posting up and running. Although I still think they should revisit their new account "protocols," I have to give them credit for being very responsive and effective after the fact. Kudos to them for good customer care.
Original review - As a private HR consultancy, I work with a lot of smaller organizations. Recently, one of my clients asked for my help in filling an open role, so I decided to give Indeed a try. I had heard good things about the site for job posters, and it seemed like a cost-effective option. However, setting up my job posting was a bit clunky, and it took a call to their call center to iron out the bumps. Still, it was a positive experience overall.
After posting the job, I waited the 1-2 hours for it to be approved by Indeed. Once it was approved, I went into my account to check on it, only to find that my account had been disabled. As a paying customer, this was incredibly frustrating. I had to fill out a form to have my account enabled again, and I was told that this was their normal process for new accounts. Seriously? I wasted my time fixing their mistake, and now I have to wait 1-3 business days for my information to be reviewed. Meanwhile, my job posting is not being seen by potential candidates.
To make matters worse, I used the Indeed site to post the job on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter, but those links don't work because my account was disabled. I had to manually delete all of them. This is not how a company should treat its paying customers. Why ask for all of my business information during the account setup process if you're just going to disable my account later and ask for it again?
I'm committed to using Indeed for my client, but I find it hard to believe that this is what a good customer experience looks like. Candidates don't just look at job sites Monday through Friday from 9-5, so the 3-5 calendar day hold is unacceptable. I hope Indeed management takes a hard look at their processes and makes some changes. This experience has been awful, awful, awful.
Disappointed with Indeed's Service: Account Disabled Without Warning
I've been using Indeed for a while now and I have mixed feelings about it. Last year, I was able to find a great employee through the platform, so I decided to use it again this year to find receptionists. I posted the same ads as last year and received a lot of applications. I started to narrow down the candidates and scheduled interviews, but then my account was suddenly disabled.
I received a generic email from Indeed stating that my account was disabled because they couldn't verify the relationship between my company and the account. They asked me to provide documentation to verify my account, such as an electricity or phone bill with my business's name and address, ABN registration document, or ASIC business registration. I was frustrated because if they were so serious about verifying accounts, why didn't they do it when I first set up my account?
I provided seven official documents and more to prove my ownership of the company, but they still wouldn't reactivate my account. They told me that my request required specialized attention and that their Client Success team could better assist me. I tried to get in touch with the Client Success team, but I couldn't find a link for live chat and no one answered the phone when I called.
I wasted so much time and resources on this platform for nothing. I received no support from Indeed, and their service was pathetic. It's frustrating that they froze the account of a legitimate business without warning. It's a shoot first and ask questions later mentality, and it's not fair to legitimate businesses like mine.
In response to Indeed's reply dated 6/15/20, I provided all the information they asked for during sign up. I submitted an appeal, and I provided all the documentation they requested. However, they disregarded all the documents I submitted. If they needed more information or proof, they could have just asked for it. I would have been more than happy to provide it promptly.
Overall, I'm disappointed with Indeed's service. While I was able to find a great employee last year, this year's experience was frustrating and a waste of time and resources.
My Frustrating Experience with Indeed: Account Disabled Without Explanation
I just want to share my experience with Indeed. Like many others, I had to leave a review to get them to take action and respond. Unfortunately, I'm still having trouble posting job ads on their site. I've been in this industry for over 20 years and have used Indeed for years to hire for all positions. I've never had a problem before now.
I asked about the issue, but they told me that my account had never been reviewed before. That's interesting because I post the same ads every time. All I do is reopen the ads that I closed at the end of the previous recruiting effort. So it's not the ads; it's my account. But what could that mean?
I've repeatedly asked Indeed to tell me what's wrong with the ads or account so I can fix it, but they won't answer the question. They keep saying, "We cannot give the reasons for every account that we disable." Really? This is the fifth email they've sent me about this same issue. It's ludicrous for Indeed to refuse to tell me why they are disabling my account. And it's obviously not the ads that are the problem. Why would an ad for an office worker be "controversial?" And since it's the review of my "account" that caused the flag, what is unique about my account?
Is it because I'm a company that installs alarm systems and satellite TV and sells internet for AT&T? That's ridiculous. So what could it be?
To anyone reading this, whether you're a job-seeker or employer, good luck. I hope you find success.
My Disappointing Experience with Indeed.com: Unfair Charges and Ineffective Results
I recently had a not-so-great experience with Indeed.com and wanted to share my thoughts. As a new business owner, I am on a tight budget and need to be careful with my spending. I signed up for Indeed to advertise my job postings and was initially pleased with the results. However, things quickly went downhill.
First of all, I had requested a maximum of $5 per day for my advertising budget, but was charged $43 for just four days. This was not what I had agreed to and it put a strain on my finances. Additionally, I found that many of the applicants who responded to my postings were not serious about the job or did not show up for interviews. This was frustrating and made me question the effectiveness of the platform.
Another issue I had with Indeed was their pay-per-click system. I was not able to monitor the clicks and had no way of knowing if they were legitimate or not. I also felt that employers should only be charged for the number of applicants who submit their resumes, rather than per click. This would be a fairer system and would give us more control over our advertising costs.
When I raised these concerns with a representative from Indeed, they told me not to worry and that everything would average out to $5 per day. However, I was not able to monitor my account daily and felt that I was being taken advantage of. It also seemed unfair that I had to jump through hoops to verify my business, even though I had already provided my license.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Indeed and will not be using their services again. I will also be sharing my story with my professional network to warn others about the potential pitfalls of using this platform.
Indeed Review: Confusing Billing Summary & No Refund Policy
So, I stumbled upon Indeed when I saw an ad that offered a $50 credit if I created an account. My company usually uses different job posting sites, but I thought I'd give Indeed a try since I wasn't getting good results from the others. However, I got so busy that I never looked at any resumes that came through Indeed. I wanted to delete the job, but it wasn't easy to find, and I didn't want to spend time looking for it. Plus, it showed that I had a balance left, so I didn't do anything until two months later. That's when I saw a charge on the company's credit card statement. I inquired about it, and they told me that the credit expires 30 days after the job posting. I must have missed that information. However, that information was only available at that moment and never appeared again. The customer service agent agreed that that's the only time I would see it.
I also asked about the balance, and apparently, the balance represents the charge balance, not the credit balance. It didn't make a whole lot of sense to me because the charge column was zero. They explained to me that it's the previous month's charges.
I have two issues with Indeed:
1. The credit expiration date should be shown under account info/billing info. This information directly affects how they calculate the fees, so it should be displayed. It's like a voucher without an expiration date or a credit card bill without a due date.
2. Their website should be more user-friendly. The billing summary page should be explained better. If they are going to show the total charges from the previous billing cycle on the current billing page, they should show previous transactions or title it better. Instead of just "balance," it should be "charge (fee) balance from last month." Also, it would be nice if there were a way to enter the job posting end date. I understand that they charge per click and not by the period of time it was advertised, but it's still a useful tool.
I understand that Indeed wants more customers, and they are giving out a $50 credit as an incentive to potential clients. However, the website is confusing, and the terms and conditions on the $50 credit weren't very clear. I asked them to refund the charges, but they refused. I believe that my request is very reasonable. I obviously did not understand how Indeed works, and Indeed does work differently than other sites. There was no way that I would come up with questions such as when does credit expire or what balance means unless I used Indeed before. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me that they offer free credit to attract new customers, but then they have an awful customer service policy that keeps new customers away. They have an absolute no-refund policy regardless of the reasons and cases.
Beware of Job Scams on Indeed.com: My Experience with a Fake Job Offer
Indeed.com is a platform that allows people to post job listings, but unfortunately, there are some scam artists who take advantage of this. I recently had an experience with one of these scammers. I received a job offer that seemed too good to be true. The pay was $2000 per month for part-time work from home, with the possibility of a monthly bonus. I was excited about the opportunity, but I quickly became suspicious when the person who hired me, Frank Mills, didn't call me for an interview. He claimed to be out of the country in the U.K. and said that he would send me all the materials I needed to do the job.
I asked Frank for more information about his company, but he only gave me the name, "FIM Consulting LLC." I couldn't find anything about the company online, which was a big red flag. Frank's emails were poorly written and full of punctuation mistakes. He said that payment would be made either by direct deposit or check, but I didn't feel comfortable giving my bank information to a company that didn't seem legitimate.
Despite my suspicions, I decided to go along with the scam to see what would happen. Frank sent me a check for $2,650.46, which was supposed to cover my first month's pay and the cost of materials. The check was from HSBC bank, but the bank logo looked homemade and the memo line read "Funds Available," which was another red flag. I wondered what would happen if I tried to cash the check. Would there be any money available?
In the end, I decided not to cash the check and to cut ties with Frank. I want to warn others about this scam so that they don't fall victim to it. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Trust your gut instinct and do your research before giving out any personal information.
Disappointing Experience with Indeed: Phantom Candidates and Few Qualified Applicants
I've been using online job-hunting outlets for my entire career, and I have to say that my experience with Indeed has been less than satisfactory. I've encountered so many phantom candidates - people with invalid or disconnected phone numbers, no email responses, and many no-shows. It's frustrating to say the least.
I posted two different job listings on Indeed - one for an office clerk and another for a robotics instructor. For the office clerk position, I received many candidates, but only a small handful were worth contacting. What's even more frustrating is that many of these candidates turned out to be phantom candidates - their phone numbers were no longer in service, and they only had email addresses with indeed.com domains. Some didn't even bother to reply to my emails.
For the robotics instructor position, I paid $350/monthly for Indeed's services, which promised to provide me with 55+ candidates. However, I only received one candidate, and even that candidate turned out to be a phantom candidate. I cancelled my subscription, but Indeed's sales personnel extended it for another 30 days for free. While I appreciate the gesture, I don't have much faith that anything will change.
Overall, my experience with Indeed has been disappointing. I've encountered too many phantom candidates and not enough qualified candidates. I don't think I'll be using their services again in the future.
Unreliable and Unresponsive: My Experience with Indeed's Hiring Services
I gotta say, I wouldn't recommend Indeed to anyone looking to hire new employees. I've been using their services for a couple of years now, paying a hefty ?600 per month, and I've had nothing but trouble. And based on the reviews I've seen here, it seems like I'm not alone.
Just yesterday, I received an email saying that my account had been disabled with no explanation. I tried to appeal the decision, but all I got was a vague response saying that my account was "suitable for Indeed." I followed all of their instructions and tried to communicate with their quality control team, but I got no response. I even tried to contact my account manager, but she didn't get back to me either.
Finally, I called their helpline and was told that there was no issue with my account and that it would be live within an hour. But after waiting for two hours, I still couldn't access my account. When I called back, I was told that my account had been permanently disabled and that they wouldn't give me any information about why.
The only explanation I got from my account manager was that there were two ads that hadn't been closed on time, but that shouldn't be enough to disable my entire account. And the fact that they won't give me any feedback is just ridiculous. We've had over 100 applications for roles we advertised before our account was disabled, and we can't even access them now. It's a total mess.
We use all the major job sites, and we've never had any problems like this before. We post the same ads on all platforms, and none of the other sites have ever taken issue with them. If Indeed's rules were reasonable, they wouldn't need to be so secretive about them. It's just not worth the hassle.

Re: Fraud using Indeed.com, Power Engineers Name and Employee Name
I, Syed (Sid) Hussaini, am being scammed by person(s) pretending to be an employee of Power Engineers, Inc. They offered me a position via email to my email address: [protected]@gmail.com, after I submitted a questionnaire, they provided. They gave me a written email job offer without holding an interview.
Here is the email address of scammers:
1. [protected]@interviewsessions.com (supposed their HR department)
2. [protected]@gmail.com (supposedly Peter Godfrey, a legit employee of Power Engineers).
I called Power Engineers, Inc. at [protected] and spoke with the receptionist. She said she has received over 350 calls today with the same exact complaint as mine.
I am requesting Indeed.com to investigate this fraud, and would like to pursue all legal options to stop these fraudsters and would like to know all my legal options to pursue this with those who are giving a platform to fraudsters at the cost of people looking for jobs.
Please also, I am requesting Indeed.com to make sure the scammers delete all my information and to safeguard me against any potential threats to me including ID theft or any other harm.
I am very concerned. Please contact me at [protected] or email me at [protected]@gmail.com with your response to this important security violation, compromising my data and causing potential harm to me or my family.
Thank You.

This just happened to me this morning. It is heartbreaking, I really thought I was going to start work. Have not given them any personal information. Didn't think I would ever fall for something like this. Checked their website, social media, even confirmed on google maps company locations, and that the person emailing me was real and worked there.
This too happened to me I have notified the FBI and I have the checks, I didn't cash them because they came in from a Law office from California. Too good to be true job of course, the check came in from El Paso, TX. Didn't make sense glad I didn't give my notice.
This is happening to me now, they said they were sending out a check to purchase equipment. Replied to them telling them they are part of an investigation. What else are you doing to protect yourself, I to sent them my info, photo of ID. Need to do something quick before its too late. Any suggestions?
