short refund
We were having a ticket (PNR# [protected]) from AZ to KOAA on 10th Mar'13. Upon arriving the boarding Station, the Station Master informed us that the train (Garib Rath) has diverted and we would get the FULL Refund. I filed TDR on 11th Mar'13, but only got 50% of the ticket amount as refund! I filed a complaint in http://customercare.Indianrailways.Gov.IN portal (Reference Number - W/ER/HWH/[protected]) on 20th Mar'13. But still the status is PENDING :(

Respected Sir, On dated [protected] time about 8:40 AM I travel to my city mandi gobindgarh to Gurgaon (HR) .At this time there is a daily passenger train from Amritsar to Ambala Cantt which stoppage at mandi gobindgarh. The ticket conductor whose named Mr. Anwar Adil whose duty on ticket window at that time, does not give to my journey ticket i.e. MANDI GOVINDGARH to GURGAON .Although there is a computerised ticket window but the Mr. Anwar Adil does not give to my journey ticket . he had misbehaviour and abused me . He told that me " chal sale kuttte yahan se pare hat, bhag ja, tujh jaise yahan bahut aate hein tujhe Gurgaon ki sidhi ticket nahin deni, jo karna he kar le, usne mujhe takriban 25 -30 minute window par khada karke rakha . tab mere bar - bar hath jodne and request karne par ek or officer ne mujhe MANDI GOBINDGARH TO REWARI Jn.ki II SUPERFAST ki Ticket No. W [protected] at 9:10 am per di. usne bhi mujhe sidhe gurgaon ki tiket nahi di . mujhe Sirhind Jn. se 12460 Amritsar - New Delhi train pakadni thi jiska time 9:40 Am thaa. yahan par na to koi Enuiry hai, mere bar - bar pata karne par bhi kisi ne mujhe passenger train ke aane ki koi jaankari nahi di. tab mujhe majboori mein rickshaw karke Bus Stand aana pada and bus se Sirhind JN gaya . please take legal action against Mr. Anwar Adil and compensate for mental and phesycal harassment and refund my excess fare, rickshaw and bus fare etc, my contact no. is [protected]

I am beg to inform you that while I am travel from Raipur to Howrah in 12833/Howrah Express and my PNR No is-[protected] dated 14.01.13. I am buying 01 cup of tes from the pantryboy he charged me Rs.7/- per cup not only from me he taken Rs.7/- against one cup of tea from all the passenger.When I am asked that why you take Rs.7/- the rate is Rs.5/- only he said slag language and taken Rs.7/- for one cup of tea.Sir I asked him show me your rate chart but he deniy to show the rate chart and when I am asked whom he was worked he told me RR Pantry service Or RK Pantry service.Sir, I dont know why he taken Rs.7/- from all the passenger while all pantry boy of other trains taken Rs.5/- per cup.Even when I was in journey in Mumbai Mail-12810 on dated 12.01.13 on 3A b2-45 Pnr No-[protected] the pantry boy had taken Rs.5/- per cup.So I am requesting you please look after the matter and cancelled immediately the licence who was on duty on that day.

online reservation system
Now a days, the indian railway online reservation portal is not working at all. Further, I heard that the indian railways have nominated several reservation agencies and they are charging exhorbitantly on the passengers. On season, these agents are charging 60-70% of the actual fare per ticket. I believe that some corrupt officials of indian railways are behind this atrocities. Therefore, the honourable supreme court of india should view the atrocities of the indian railways against the passengers.

sleeper coaches in day train
cholan express is a day train. starts chennai 8.15 a.m reaches tiruchy 16.35 p.m. and on return journey starts tiruchy 9.35 a.m reaches chennai 17.50 p.m. so it is a hundred percent day time train. but originally it was running up to kumbakonam etc and there was sleeper coaches attached to it. but it runs up to tiruchy now. but the sleeper coaches are there and extra cost is plucked out from the passengers. railway may think that Indians are always sleepy and they will sleep even during day time. but we are blabbering on other side that we are going to become super power country soon. if rules are there that for changing coaches etc railway will have to get permission from ministry like that change that rules it self. don't say that we have to get permission from world health organisation W.H.O and World Bank and United Nations Organisation U.N.O.

Dear sir, currently I am traveling in Gabha exp. Train no. 12938. Compartment no B-1, train running from Howrah to gandhidham, in 3 compartment such as B-1, B-2 and BE-1, there is no AC working, no water, and no electricity since train leave Howrah junction. train incharge said 1, the issue will be resolved in Dhanbad, then said in Mugal sarai, then in allahabad, kanpur, Agra. Now train is about to reach Kota, but not any necessary action has been taken for your side. When passenger asked for complaint book, T.T said, if you will complain then no action will be taken from my side.
Now please do it needful.

I would like to bring this to your kind attention that there is something wrong happening at Indian Railways. Through this medium I would like to bring the wrong doings of Indian railways in front of each and every one. I had booked four Tickets on 31st May through www.irctc.co.in. I have to travel because my wife has an exam for her MBA from XLRI on 1st of July in Patna, Fraser Road and We have to attend my mother’s retirement function at Pusa University, Pusa (Bihar). I hope the need for travel can be understood very clearly. When I booked the tickets i.e. on 31st May status of the tickets was WL-1, WL-2, WL-3, WL-4. Status of all the 4 tickets was changed to CNF from 20th June onwards. I was relaxed that my tickets are confirmed. On travel date i.e. on 28th June 2012 I looged in to irctc.co.in website to check the seat numbers before leaving for the station I was surprised to see that my Tickets which were shown as confirmed for last 8- 10 days were again showing status as WL-3, WL-4, WL-5 and WL-6. I called up 139 and asked them about the reasons initially they were not able to answer anything and when I insisted on knowing the reason they mentioned that they have reduced the number of coaches. I asked them about the reasons they do not have any. I asked them why they have not informed us about the same they did not have answer for the same as well. When asked them what arrangements they have made for such cancellations, they said they do not have an answer. On asking whom should we contact for the same they ask us to contact chief reservation officer who sits in New Delhi Railway station at Reservation counter. We reach the station and found that the Reservation officer does not sits in the Railway Station but outside Railway station in Passenger Reservation center Paharganj. We rushed towards the reservation center and found that he has left for the day. We contacted some people over there in charting department they mentioned that it is confidential but since we are here they told us the reason is (a small coach sent in place of the big coach) and hence some seats which were confirmed were cancelled. When asked why passengers were not informed they were also clueless. They ask us to contact Station Manager as they cannot help us. We somehow again rushed back to the station but could not find the Station Manager over there. Station superintendent ask us write down the complaint we did that and the complaint No for the same is “058”. We checked with TTE about the same, we were surprised to find that our names were completely missing from the chart he was carrying. Our names were not there even in the waiting Lists chart he was carrying. We checked in his chart and found that the PNR numbers of the waiting List people were after our PNR number were missing completely. There was one more family on the station who was in similar situation and their PNR number was [protected].
I would like to get the answers to following questions
How come the Status of Tickets got reversed?
Why our PNR number got missing from the Charts?
Why we were not being informed about the cancellation?
Who is going to pay for the discomforts caused? We spent money in travelling to and fro from the Station to Home and wasted our time and energy going calling one officer to another.
Why arrangements were not done by Indian railways if fault was at their end?
One important thing we booked our tickets in one month advance, railways used our money for complete one month charged service charges etc over it for providing us such kind of services. This is just one ticket imagine that each and every ticket is been booked in advance and out of it so many were not confirmed can you calculate the amount of money every day Railways is earning on behalf of service charges for non confirmed tickets?
no tickets to return home
I had came to delhi a month ago, and now I am planning to go back home.
But when I had gone to but tickets there were a large number of crowds, so I couldn't get one...
we have got no option left, but to buy tickets from the railway agents..
But they are charging too much, the normal sleeper costs around Rs 700-800 in TATKAAL (emergency one), but these people are telling to pay Rs 1100.
now what is this?

physical handicapp coach & facilities
Dear Sir,
I would like to say that on 15th April I purchsed physical handicapp ticket No: [protected] dt. 15/04/12 from jaipur to Jodhpur in Indore Intercity express & waited for the train to come. The train was 15 minutes from its arriving time at jaipur station of 14.45. Now according to the railways the physical handicap coach should be in the front as well at the back of the train near gaurd coach. But on that day only a single coach was there & that too in the front. We & some of the physical handicap friends went to the front & when we reached the coach I was astonished to see that maximum GRP staff & railways staff carrying their card of NWREU in their pockets & captured the physical handicap coach. When we went to them & asked them to give the seat to the physical handicap persons they refused saying that why should they give the seat to the physical handicap peoples.
Now when we got down & complained the GRP ASI Mr. MS Meena about this he started shouting on us & using abusive language He told us to go & speak with the station master it is none of my business. I just wanted to know that why does the railway higher authorities say that they are giving good facilites to the senior citizens, physical handicaps & the patients. Why the railways higher authorities not looking to these...? Why are they seeing all this when they are knowing the facts...? Why does anybody senior go & see these coaches at the time of the arrival of the trains.
Even I was surprised that a GRP ASI Mr. MS Meena replying in such a manner & speaking with us like we are the culprits. I say that the facility in rajasthan is worst then the other states. Jodhpur station is not having seperate ticket counter for senior citizens, womens & physical handicap as in other states there are seperate counters.
I feel very bad when the railway employees treat us like this. It is really shameful for me that I travel with the worlds second largest railway & the Railways ministry implies the law but dont see to the laws to be executed. As all the laws relating to railways are broken by the railway employees themselves & Maximum laws are manipulated by the GRP.
I would like the railway authorities to check this time by time otherwise nothing could happen.

Dear Sir,
I am a Physically disabled person. I used to travel to bangalore every week in the Brindavan Physically disabled coach. But the Railway employees occupies the place. They not only occupy the coaches, but also starts smoking and playing cards in the coach itself. If some diabled persons objects for this, the railway employees would abuse the disabled person. Even the RPF Personnel are not coming to the coaches in the station to check the handicapped certificates eventhough they know it. I messaged the complaint 2 times to the RPF helpline [protected] on 16-Jan-2013. But no action was taken against them by the RPF till now. To avoid this type of situations, I request you to put the disabled coach both at the front as well as the rear so that guards can take care of atleast one disabled coach.Even the public also getting inside the coach and occupying the place in such a way that even the disabled person is not able to use the wash room. The RPF Personnel instead of not allowing the public inside abused the disabled persons.Please take necessary action so that the disabled persons can enjoy the facilities given by the Government
In this Handicapped Coaches unauthorized passenger in this coach which are not handicapped like police staff, railway staff, RPF staff not on duty, not handicapped but travel in this coach even Ticket Collector do not fine but fine the handicapped person who does not have Handicapped Certificate they are fine, even after giving Complaint National Human Right Commission directed to CST public complaint to prepare report from special staff to check that unauthorized people do not travel in this coach, given in reply report of complaint 432 penalized I request Railway see what report you have prepared, This Thane Station 4.40 pm Badlapur Local Train on plat form number 5.
regarding not following the rate list
On 29 Feb 12 i went to Agra Cantt railway station to board Mathura allahabad express at 21.00 hrs. On the platform no. 4 Stall No. 13 Prop. Ms. Sandeep Vaswani. and the shop attendent Mr. Rizwan. i asked for a cup of coffee of Rs. 5 cost as per their rate list. He gave me the coffee and charged rs 7.00 and said that the coffee of Rs 5 which is as per the rate list is not available. When i asked for the complaint book. he refused. By that time my train came. Please look into the matter.
non refund of tdr amount

My family booked a Waiting List ticket with PNR number [protected] starting from Kayamkulam- Indore in train number 16326 on 11/06/2011 in 3A class for the amount 4473.00 for 3 passengers (my wife and children). On the same day at 09:00hrs, as we are in Trivandrum, we forwarded the ticket in Trivandrum, pattom LIC building railway counter for refund, they informed that the lodging station is Kayamkulam and the train is already started journey they are unable to refund the ticket money. Next day I forwarded it to Kayamkulam station and office informed that the train already started journey so refund is possible only from divisional office Trivandrum. I forwarded for refund at Trivandrum Divisional office on 14/06/2011 with a TDR no.SN 185. Till now no information about the refund.
I request your goodselves, to be kind enough to take action for the refund.

takal ticket booking
Respected Sir,
I would like to draw your attentions regarding the IRCTC Tatkal rail ticket booking.
It has been observed that if you try to booked a ticket in tatkal from IRCTC wtebsite https://www.irctc.co.in/ you will not be able to do so the region behind. The server gets down from 8am to 9am by this time all the tickets are booked by the agent & they sell the ticket in higher rates. It was stopped few months back because the Star News had broadcast the sting operation in the matter and the Server was running in good for few days but now it is as same as it was earlier. I have tried two day continually to book a ticket but could not do so because of the said region but the agent can book the ticket at the same time, stop these type of practice as these AGENT are selling these ticket in excess of Rs.200 to Rs.300 per ticket.
We are not been able to booked the ticket in TAKAL from the website https://www.irctc.co.in/ from 8 am to 9 am.
Kindly look into the matter & get the problem resolve.
rude behavior and used blankets
On the 9th November early morning 1.30 am we boarded Wainganga Express (12252) at Kuncheguda station. Our berths were A1 29 & 30. Till 2.00 am no one came to supply us the bed roll despite repeated request to the TTE. He informed that the person responsible ( one Manjunath, whose name I gathered later) was actually sleeping. When Manjunath was preparing the bedroll for providing to the passengers I noticed that he is folding the used blankets to supply. On my enquiry he replied very rudely that we get only 46 blankets and these are reused for passengers traveling from in between stations.
When I asked for his employee number I got to know that he is from an outsourced agency (some T K Dar). Not only is this practice of re using blankets unhygienic but the behavior of the attended also very annoying.
I request that Railways take strong and urgent action in this matter.

As soon as refund, if any, received it will be credited to your card account.

This is a Complaint against Indian Railways regarding Train delay for 11 hours on 11-NOV-2011.
Ranikhet Express (Train No: 15013): was scheduled to depart at 10:40 PM from Old Delhi Railway Station. Then announcement was made, it will depart at 4:00 AM . But problem did not end then. We wait there till 4:00 AM. Then they announced train will depart at 6:15 AM and further announcements like 7:40 AM, 8:10 AM, 9:40 AM. Finally train delayed for 11 hours. This is the facility that is provided by Indian Railways. For 5 hrs journey, we waited at station for around 10 hours.There was no proper announcement that why train is getting delayed.Finally we decided to cancel our trip. My concern if someone is gonna for some urgency then what the hell that person will do...I think Government should think about people rather than just think about themselves...
There should be some criteria through which public should get informed in proper way..

Respected Madam/Sir, i, siddharth N Khanduri, along with my mother Smt Kusum & brother Rishi had forwarded a VIP Quota Application Form at Dehradun Railway Station, India on 29-October-11.The Train No was 12206, Ticket PNR No was [protected], Date of Journey was 29-Oct-11, Journey was from Dehradun to New Delhi, Class 3AC.But, in the evening when we checked the prepared Chart of our Train of our travel, we were allotted 3 RAC(Reservation Against Cancellation) seats as against 3 Confirmed seats in lieu of the VIP Applicaton Letter we had submitted!This meant that VIP Quota was not applied in our case in spite of timely submission of VIP Quota Application Letter!All night my 66-year old Mother with Arthritis problem had to travel on the side seat for RAC Passengers, besides the harrowing time we 2 brothers had sharing our RAC Side Seat with a Third Passenger for many hours of late night!We would like to know who was responsible for The Non-Application of our VIP Quota Application & be punished accordingly.

Me my wife, Airforce Officer son deboarded Bhopal Express today at 8.30 am and came towards Kale Khan side for taking taxi/auto. Whole way upto Bus stand it is full of touts /thugs and anti-social elements and one of the Auto Driver asked Rs.250/- for Sect:19, Noida which is around 10 km. I said I dont want and clear my way otherwise I will call Police. And to my surprise there was no Traffic Police nor RPF for managing. On this he threatened, became abusive and started manhandling and other 3-4 gheraod me and other crowd watched us.
Please get the whole area straight and clean so that poor public should not suffer and give a bad name to Delhi. Got a Radio-Cab, which did not had radio, and instead of seats it had wooden bench in Maruti Van and charged rs.250.00 upto Vasundra.

i parked my bike inside railway parking campus at madhubani railwaystation ( east central railway, hajipur ) samastipur division on a/c of buying railway ticket after getting my work done. . . i was giving rs 2 as per board display parking rate but the person charged rs 5 for one hour. ..

non provision of non - veg food, refusal to provide the complaint book
We were a group of 22 people travelling in Amritsar Shatabdi . On 28.9.11, we travelled to Jalandhar by Amritsar Shatabdi (train no.- 12013) in C-10 on seat no.s 50- 65, 70- 75. Except for 1 or 2 people, we were not given non- veg food for dinner. When asked why, the persons serving us the food told bluntly that there is short supply.
On 29.9.11, on return journey to New Delhi by Amritsar Shatabdi (train no.- 12032) in C- 12 on seat no.s 38, 41- 56, 61- 65, we were again served veg food except for 1 or 2 people. When enquired about the reason, we were again told that it is due to short supply. We all ate the food provided to us. Then I asked for the Complaint Book. Immediately they brought me a non- veg dish out of nowhere. I told I already had dinner provided to me an hour before and I needed the Complaint Book. After arguing with me for a long time, they gave me a feedback form. I asked for the Complaint Book again and again a several times. But they refused to give me and I was not given the Complaint Book at all.
Kindly enquire about the matter as to where all the food is going and do the needful action as the passengers are paying the charges and its their right to receive quality services and we cannot be denied the right to complaint against deficient services.

When I went to take ticket at ticket counter, and asked for the ticket for Korba from bhatapara. Then he told me to give change money otherwise he will not give ticket. After that he started using abusing words to me.
