Subscription
I did not sign up for Intelius' services yet I was charged $34.95. When I contacted them they said that they didn't have my credit card on file, even though they charged by for a subscription. The date of the incident was September 11, 2023.
I tried to get them to reverse the charges and they said my email or credit card was not on file. If my email was not on file then they couldn't have charged me for a subscription. This is the same for my credit card, if it's not on file how did they charge. There are numerous complaints related to Intelius' practices and therefore they to seem have a pattern of fraudulent behaviour.
Desired outcome: There has been no outcome. I have paid them and then won't reimburse me.

I am writing to file a formal complaint against the website "Intelius" for their unethical business practices, which have resulted in unauthorized charges and an undesired subscription on my account.
On the 28th of May, I visited the Intelius website to check a scammer's phone number, with the understanding that a mere $0.95 fee would be deducted for this specific service. However, to my dismay, I later discovered that Intelius had stealthily enrolled me in a monthly subscription plan, charging $34.95 without my knowledge or consent.
Not only was I never provided with the details of the number I inquired about, but I also found myself charged for three consecutive months - June, July, and August - amounting to a total of $105. As a student on a tight budget, these charges have created a severe financial burden, and I cannot overlook this deceptive and exploitative behavior.
Upon scrutinizing my PayPal history, I realized that Intelius was solely responsible for these recurring charges. I can categorically state that I have not utilized any services from their platform during this period, making these charges completely unjustified and unacceptable.
I hereby demand an immediate refund of the entire amount unlawfully deducted from my account, totaling $105. Intelius took advantage of my trust in their services, and their actions have left me feeling deeply deceived and taken advantage of.
This complaint serves as a warning to other potential victims and as a request for action against Intelius' unethical practices. I have lost my faith in their website and services and believe it is crucial for this matter to be addressed promptly and transparently.
I intend to escalate this complaint to relevant consumer protection agencies if the issue remains unresolved. I implore the Complaint Board to investigate this matter with urgency and take appropriate actions to ensure justice is served.

Why Intelius is charging my credit card
I Parwaiz Malik never opted to have a membership with Intelius. I just surfing a few months earlier to know how to find some friends.
When for one time charge credit card info was asked for that purpose, I entered my card details but now I notice that Intelius is continuingly charging my credit card. It is cheating I strongly condemn it and want my back and remove my name from your charging list.
I never obtained info of any friend at all therefore you have no right to charge and single cent from me.

Intelius has charged me a total of $154.12 on 2 different credit cards. I had signed up for the trial period i think was 99 cents and i cancelled it way before the time to cancel was. And I have since used it with the 9 cents trial and too have cancelled each of those. There's actually a pending charge of $37.05 that's pending to come out today and this again is going to go over my credit limit and im going to get a bunch of fees for someone charging my credit cards (2 diff ones); all together right now as of this moment; theres been 154.12 debited from my credit card fraudulently bc i did not authorize these charges on neither card i just had the 99 cent trial which each time ive had it ive cancelled way before the time was even up.
Desired outcome: I would like to have the funds that were debited to my credit card totaling $154.12 refunded back to my cards and stop any and all debits; i do not have/want nor need your services; thank you. Please reply immediately thanks.
Unauthorized card charges
I made a background check on a phone number stored on my phone to see if the person was real, the check costed $0.95 but a month later they charged me $35.95. I don't know why this happened but they put me in some subscription thing that they didn't tell me about. I'm now trying to get a refund from them and them haven't answered me. Go to hell Intelius!

Taking money without my permission
I was buying a search lookup for one person I don’t remember the exact amount it was under 5$. Im not a well organized person and I hardly check my bank summary, 3 months later I decided to check on my summary I end up getting charged for 34$ 3 months straight. I payed for the 95 cent deal to look up something and now they have been charging me 25 dollars for 2 months. When I tried to log into my account to try and cancel my membership, it asks me to verify my email, which I did, but it will not let me go past that page. Do not give this website your card. They will charge you for things you don’t sign up for.

I have no idea what the product is that I keep being charged for.
I keep being charged for a subscription or product that I haven't ordered or brought. I'm not sure what this even is and ive tried canceling this several times and removing it. Phone number lookup
I logged into intelius, trying to find the owner of a phone number. I entered my request and was told there would be a $0.95 fee for that. after that I was told there would be an additional charge of $3.95, which I declined and left the site. I have cancelled my account over the phone on multiple occasions for several years and just recently found out that they, once again, have started to withdrawal money from my account without my permission or authorization. When I brought this to their attention AGAIN, they refunded me for 5 monthly payments of $4.99. A grand total of $24.95 for unauthorized payments since June 09, 2020. The balance owed to me is now $187.09 THIS TIME! This is about the 3d time over the last 10 years that I've had to deal with this from Intelius and I am reporting them to follow up with the threat that I made to them in an email to their support team demanded the rest of my refund.

Multiple random $30 charges after trying the $.95 5-day trial
I purchased the 95 cent, 5-day trial on 01/24/22 on Intelius.com, and canceled it before the membership could start because I didn't want to use the services any longer. I never removed my card information off of the sight which is definitely my fault, but I have been getting charged for the past year for something I made sure to cancel.
I've tried calling, and haven't received the information I've been looking for and was just charged on that card yet again today, the charge is still pending and is to come out on the 5th (Tomorrow), it is for $34.95.
I removed all of my debit card information off of my Intelius account, but I need these charges refunded to that card. I do not want to go in circles anymore with charges I'm not making/have not approved of what-so-ever, and have even called customer service about many times being told "I can't recieve a refund". There are exactly 9 charges that Intelius has made to my card that I have not approved of, since canceling the trial.

I've been dealing with Intelius for almost 10 years and finally came here to file a complaint. Just recently they started billing me again without my knowledge or permission. When I made my complaint, they refunded me $24.95... Which were the 5 unauthorized payments that were recent but as I started to look back even further, it goes back to June, 2020. I have made several personal calls to the company and was reassured my account was cancelled and it wouldn't happen again but this time they went through my PayPal account. So beware, if you use PayPal, audit your automatic payments to make sure they don't keep doing it to you.

I canceled my subscription 11/15/2022 and I still just got charged yet again yesterday 11/28/2022 34.86, and 4.99 for no reason. I deleted my card information off the sight and canceled this is not only illegal but it’s a scam. Very unprofessional. Do Not Trust or Use Intelius! I have been charged 3 different times after I had removed my card and cancelled my membership, they charge you anyways. They keep your card on file and steal money from you. Do not use this website! They steal from you and they don’t even give you the information you ask for.
