Mixed Experience with Ipsy
As a beauty enthusiast, I was initially drawn to Ipsy for its promise of personalized beauty products. However, my experience has been a mix of highs and lows. While the website is user-friendly and offers competitive prices, the shipping was slower than expected, and the packaging left much to be desired. I appreciate the affordability but would prefer a more reliable experience. Overall, Ipsy is worth considering for those on a budget, but be prepared for some hiccups along the way.
I've been a customer for 9 months and I love getting my ipsy bags
I really love this company. It's a great idea. This is my monthly gift to myself. The bags are adorable and over time I've replaced my make-up collection. And have gotten nail polish, face washes, hair conditioner, etc. This service is inexpensive and it gives you the chance to try new things. I've really liked some products that I've received that I normally wouldn't have bought. They might not get it completely right with every product they send u. But I'd say on average I have loved 4 out of 5 things in my bag. The only complaint I ever had was being able to claim my free gifts before they sold out. I did write them about it and got a response right away. I also noticed that they have added more things in that free gift category. So what I complained about has improved. I would definitely recommend ipsy to anyone who loves make-up.
Love the content/Great customer service!
I look forward to receiving my bag each month. I like the fact that if you don't really care for an item you received, you can review it online within your account and ispy will adjust your future items. I also enjoy that they are smaller sizes that way you can get a feel for whether or not you would like to purchase a normal sized product in the future.
I just recently moved and updated my address on my account so my August bag would ship to my new address. Apparently I updated the billing address, not the shipping, so it sent to my old address. After not having received it, I emailed ispy customer service and they got back to me the very next morning. The individual explained the situation, and offered to reissue my August bag free of charge and send it to my new address. They were quick, responsive, and caring. I would highly recommend!

Yall are ridiculous
So I have yet to sign up for an ipsy bag which is why I came here to see the reviews. First of all let's think a little here people, you're paying $10 a month for a cute makeup bag and 4-5 items of makeup/ beauty products. At a store one of the items would easily be $10. Second you get what you pay for people! It's $10 so if you expect the people who work for ipsy and for the entire company to not have any problems concerning internet glitches and for them to go out of their way, you're just thinking unrealistically about this. Lastly, if they ask you to post something on social media to get off the waiting list why wouldn't you do it? You people really need to use your head, there's this thing called settings and all you have to do is change who can see certain posts. ITS THAT SIMPLE PEOPLE I PROMISE. So stop complaining about something that is literally $10 a month, you honestly have no room to complain
For $10 you get $50+ items
I joined Ipsy awhile ago and I will say my only negative is I have over 50 bags that I might never use (the cute bags all your items are sent in)
First you take a quiz which helps them decide what to send you and I'm not a fan of certain things so I checked those boxes of not interested. At any time I wish to change my mind I can go into my account and update it. I did state I love nail polish and every bag I'm getting nail polish! I get a cute bag with 5 items inside you get at least 2 full size products! The price of $10 is a steal! I've added some of my bags up and they have been over $30. I love that I control what I get I asked for no hair care products (since I'm dealing with some health issues and on strict hair care items from doctors) and they don't send any hair items. I also said I'm into lip gloss/stick and nail polish and my bags include those.
For $10 a custom bag that's easier and cheaper than ordering a meal that mostly the fast food place would mess up! Plus you'll gain 5lbs of fat and guilt lol
Fantastic
I have been receiving Ipsy Glam Bags for several months now and have been completely satisfied. I look forward to trying out new products and it's fun to get that pink package in the mail every month. Along with your subscription comes offers for great savings on beauty products, all at a deeply discounted price. All of the products total far more than the $10 you spend on the bag, usually $40 and up. If a product arrives damaged/broken, simply email customer service and they will send you a replacement product. Recently, I had a face lotion come open in my bag - thankfully it was double bagged - so I emailed Ipsy. They sent me a cleansing face foam that retails for $55! (3lab) It's easy to "earn" points to get free products also. If you are unhappy with the items you are receiving, simply change the information in your profile and Ipsy alters your bag to fit your requirements. Products are full size or slightly smaller. What you won't get is tiny samples like other subscription boxes out there. This is money well spent if you like makeup and hair/skin care products.
Try New Things
I been with ipsy since they started as I have been a Michelle Phan fan for years now. Ipsy is meant to try new things and many of those items may be out of your preferences or comfort zone. The point is to try new products that you may not have used before but actually may come to like. That is the feeling I always got from her videos as well when I started watching them didn't even used to wear makeup and now I am facinated with the art. I also like the fact that at a budget they try as a company to place all different types of items not just makeup. Honestly it's a mix with the glam bags some months you'll get high end products others you may get drug store brands however that's been her style all along she caters to the makeup users that are at a budget as well as those who can splurge. Honestly I enjoy the contrast and many times I'm happy to see that I don't have to shell out 30 bucks for an eyeshadow color that I really like and if I have to buy it again, which I never do because these items are usually full size, that it can cost under 10 dollars. Thank you and in Michelle Phans words good luck!
Customer service exceeds expectations
I have ordered Ipsy bags for my 2 daughters for a few years now. Recently, my oldest daughter had changed her address as she had changed her place of residence. After the move, she had not received her Ipsy bag for 2 months. While I was initially concerned Ipsy has no customer service number, they do offer the option to contact them through FB messenger. When doing so, I did receive a response almost immediately. Many messages were exchanged between myself and the representative and all responses were in a very timely manner. The representative was very helpful and made every effort to resolve the issue. She went above and beyond by reissuing both bags (that were not received as a result of the address change) and by also ensuring the address/delivery issue was rectified. The representative was extremely professional and made a very genuine attempt to provide great customer service while rectifying the situation. Therefore, I will say in addition to always being satisfied with Ipsy's product, I am now beyond pleased with Ipsy's customer service. I highly recommend Ipsy to anyone who is considering a subscription!
Do your homework, ipsy is worth it
I have faithfully received my ipsy bag since 2014. It took me a while to realize how to utilize the account to make the selections more to products i would like. Ipsy is not a scam and does not just send cheap products. If you receive products you have never heard of that is because there are millions of different companies making products and some may be new, that does not make them bad. If you take time to do your monthly review of ipsy items then your bag will become more and more personalized. If you change your preferences under your account so often you can change up what you receive and if you pick only a few stores from which you normally buy cosmetics that to can limit the types of products you received. The people giving ipsy bad reviews need to realize what you are getting for 10 bucks has included shipping, let alone some of the makeup brushes you can receive are way more than 10 dollars in a beauty store. You just have to do your homework an shape Your profile to fit what you want. I change my preference every few months and it works great, the items i occasionally get that i may not need i donate or use to make gifts.
It's only 10 bucks, people. What you receive is worth $10 and then some
Everyone always finds SOMETHING to complain about. Ipsy sends you a bag of beauty products for 10 dollars... only 10 dollars a month. The bag, plus one item ALONE, is worth that 10 dollars. You fill out a survey and they build your bag based on what your answers are. You are encouraged to retake your survey as often as you like, so it will change things up and/or come closer to what you want every month. It's a fabulous club/deal for a small fee.
As far as social media is concerned, once you rate the items you have the CHOICE to post on social media. Doing so does increase your points received. I, personally, wait until I receive my items in the mail, THEN I rate them. I allow Ipsy to post on my social media page, but I immediately go to my social media page and change the setting of who can view each individual post to "only me." This enables me to receive the full amount of points available but not flood everyone else's news feed with my silly, personal opinions on these products. So many points accumulated result in your choice of extra items you can "buy" with those points.
There are also products available for purchase at a tremendous discount. Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 9 a.m. (pacific time), Ipsy posts these deals and it's a first come, first serve basis. If these products sell out, which often times they do very quickly, there is a link to that product on the manufacturers website which also, often times, gives you a discount, just not as good of a deal as the Ipsy offer.
Ipsy is a fabulous thing and I'm very happy with my decision to join.

Your first glam bag is great
Your first glam bag is great. After that they send tiny bottles or samples and the little tiny tubes of samples have only a drop in it. So you're not even getting a full sample. My biggest issue is how difficult it is to cancel. Damn near impossible. Sure they have videos with instructions but it's unbelievable what you have to do just to cancel. It should be illegal.
Cancelled my subscription after a long time of not enjoying the items they were sending
Cancelled my subscription after a long time of not enjoying the items they were sending. I wanted to use all my points before leaving and delayed canceling for a few months hoping they'd restock points items or get something better to spend points on but gave up and cancelled after another month with a disappointing bag. They won't let you use the points you had if you cancel... I'm also expecting to have trouble with them continuing to charge me despite canceling as most other reviews I've seen state this is a problem.
I have had an account with IPSY for the past few years
I have had an account with IPSY for the past few years. I recently moved and did not receive three expected packages from ipsy. The total out of pocket loss for me was atleast $50. IPSY did agree to send one replacement, the first time the package was lost but two months worth of IPSY plus shipments along with the replacement package did not make it to me and IPSY has not refunded my money OR even contacted me back through email. I ended up closing my account as I am receiving no goods/services for the money that was deducted from my bank account.

This company advertises that when you sign up for their subscription you will be able to purchases items at a discounted price. Once you purchases a few they lock your account from making more purchases. When you contact customer service they tell you that your purchases "were fraudulent" but refuse to elaborate or help you fix the issue. They do however continue to charge you monthly for you box. They falsely advertise being able to purchase items at a discounted rate. There is no customer service phone number, no way to talk to a higher up. You will continue to hit dead ends with no resolution.
Ipsy has great value for makeup and skin care
Ipsy has great value for makeup and skin care. I am able to return high end products that I would not spend a lot of money on without knowing what they are really like. However, what discounts you get ,you pay for with your patience. Often shipments take 2-3 weeks. I have had 3 or 4 bags get lost in the process between ipsy and shipping. Usually a tracking number with be created with no update. Ipsy will replace your bag but you won't get the same products because many of them will be out of stock by the time you get a new one. When you contact ipsy care they will always ask you to wait a week. You have to be very patient if you want to stay an ipsy member.
I was a member of Ipsy in the past but cancelled due to unhappy with the product
I was a member of Ipsy in the past but cancelled due to unhappy with the product. Yesterday I got billed for 2 orders that I never placed. One was for $15.89 and the other $63.59. I did NOT place these orders or resubscribe my membership. I have been trying to reach them to cancel but,1. They have NO phone number and when you do email or chat they don't do anything to help the customer. When I tried to cancel it said they can't cancel til I click on the cancellation email they send, BUT they never send an email to be able to cancel.2. Them doing this has put my checking into a negative status so unless I deposit more money I will be charged overdraft fees. I never asked for this, and I need help on getting it cancelled and refunded. They are SCAMMERS!
They scammed me out of nearly $300 by signing me up for a subscription I never signed up for (in addition to the one I had). When I started receiving the other subscription (a "Refreshments" bag), I tried to contact them to ask what it was, why I was getting it, and to make sure I wasn't paying for it! I never heard back. They continued to charge me and when I finally was able to contact them they said they don't do refunds and that when I signed up for the *** bag, there is a box signing me up for the refreshments bag as well that I would have had to uncheck to not subscribe to. It's a tiny box, you can barely see it hidden in a bunch of other advertising and ***. I don't think it's technically illegal to do that but it should be. They said they would cancel my refreshments subscription, but not give me a refund for any bag. And then, I continued to get charged for the bags. I ended up having to cancel my entire credit card and get a new one. This company should not be allowed to operate.
I ordered a glam bag plus in January and still have not received it I put a help ticket in to get help and was sent an email stating it would be here March 6th due to their shipping dates here it is March 6th no bag and now the tracking link is not working I want my money back but somehow I know I'm going to be ripped off for my money and my product I ordered
I have been trying to cancel my account since December of 2022 and yet bags keep showing up and now March is on the way. I have tried to go through their online channels but I'm not a fan of jumping through hoops when I've decided to be done with a service. Because of my frustrations not only would I NEVER sign up for their services again but I have been actively discouraging friends from even looking into their services. Glambot? What a joke. I ask for help and I get suggested articles and information about upgrading my account. *** is not what is once was. Now with so many choices and companies who actually know how to take care of the paying customers, Ipsy will be a thing of the past.
Terrible company! Only use Bots to respond over email, app site and over the phone. They charge high prices for their memberships, with no follow through on orders, missing items, late packages, no tracking number, charge early, constantly bombarding you with new things to buy before even responding to what youve already paid for and havent received yet. Spent over $64 thats just gone down the toilet with no accountability on their end. Will begin the suing process, they need to be hit hard. I am seeing way too many complaints about them!
As another review had noted, ipsy blocks your account when you attempt to make additional purchase
As another review had noted, ipsy blocks your account when you attempt to make additional purchase. I receive an email letting me know that my order was cancelled. The first time I contacted them about this issue, I was told my account was blocked "fraudulent". I have contacted them repeatedly about the issue and have not received a response. After navigating my way to their Help Center and weeding through a number of automatic "Get Answers" section, I finally found a way to submit my question. I receive an automated email indicating that someone will get back to me within 48 hours. It has been nearly 48 days and I have not heard back. I have replied to the automated email hoping that someone would acknowledge me but have had no luck with that either. They provide no way to contact them by phone and do not respond to customer needs. I cannot recommend ipsy as a company that cares about their customers. Do not sign up for their monthly Glam Bag.
I have been an ispy user for many years. But my last almost year of glam bags I have received only one or two of the 5 or 7 items that I paid for. Their only response is apologizing and refunding me and issuing me points to use towards their reward products that I have also never received. Their common answer is that they run out of stock even though I always make sure to pick my products and pay for them the second they are available. I am currently still waiting for my refund but if I didnt reach out to them about my products that I was missing then they never would have refunded me which makes me feel like they are stealing our money for products that we never received. Horrible horrible customer service
I have 2 separate subscriptions & canceled 1 nearly a year ago. They continue to charge me for both bags. I never received the bag I canceled, but continue to get charged. They DO NOT provide a phone number to contact them. This is unlawful & a scam! Do not waste your money on giving them your business.
I have tried numerous times to cancel this account. Followed their cancellation procedure to the several times since December. Still no cancellation. When I finally had an online chat with their customer service they wanted me to subscribe to another website that ask for my credit card info. I'm still not canceled.
This company is a scam. I would choose zero stars if I could. I canceled my subscription, only to keep being charged for it month after month. I have attempted to contact them but there's no way for customer service. The virtual assistant isn't helpful and I attempted to contact them via *** messenger, which was suggested on their "help" page. I have not received a response. I have had to resort to filing a dispute with my credit card company and to write about these issues here. This is a frustrating scam...***!
Ive been a subscriber to IPSY for almost two years
Ive been a subscriber to IPSY for almost two years. For the most part Ive loved the products Ive received and I am behind their mission. Ive had a couple of poor experiences that have made me question how trustworthy their system is and I have had trouble getting in contact with some one to help. Ive purchased items I havent received despite being charged for them and not being refunded and they do not communicate if an item you ordered is out of stock. I also recently had one of my orders shipped to a previous address despite having updated it in their system well over a month before the package was delivered. I subscribe to both their glam bag service and refreshments service. My glam bag arrived to the correct address but a couple weeks later they delivered the refreshments package to the wrong address. Ive also had other times Ive asked for different items in bag, for example a different scent of shaving cream in my refreshments package only for them not to follow through with the order. By now there are several companies who offer similar services to IPSY and I am considering subscribing to a new service with a better reputation for following through on customer orders
I love the concept of a beauty subscription but Ipsy has been going downhill. Packages arrive late and often contain missing items.
This company used to be amazing. Over the last year they have gotten into the habit of bait and switch. You buy a high quality item and they send you a cheap item hoping you wont notice and then give you a hard time when you want a refund. Many people are also being sent packages with many missing items. Its becoming the norm with this company.
This company used to be amazing. I used to pay $30 for $200 worth of makeup (5 full size products, I choose 3 out of the 5). Now I pay $30 for maybe 1 of those items to be delivered. Not only that but to have at least one of my bag items that wasn't delivered be seen as a Ipsy Offer for the week (same brand, shade and product). My replacement item has now been delivered and it's a whole different item. Instead of the item they are offering for sale that they didn't put in my bag I received a different brands highlighter in a shade I probably won't even be able to use. Needless to say I've cancelled my subscription.
Im going to be BRUTALLY honest. If you like brutal honesty, read on. This company is absolute garbage. I am beyond *** and unsatisfied. I have no clue how this company hasnt been shut down yet. I received my so called glam bag today, and before I had checked my preview because I was so excited.NONE of the 5 products that were picked out for me on the website showed up. I had 5 completely different crappy samples. NONE of the add ons I ordered and WASTED money on were in my package either. They made cancelling the subscription such a pain too. Many other customers have reported they even keep charging you even after youve cancelled. This company doesnt care about you. They only want your money. I try to be kind, but honestly I hope this company gets shut down so other innocent customers dont get SCAMMED like I did!

Taking my 368,00$
I had moved to Florida and had a new direct express card sent to me. On the 1st of October 2022 first thing in the morning I checked my balance and noticed an almost $400 charge taken off my balance. I called direct express, and they told me that Ipsy doubled charged me the previous month not only once but twice. I gave direct express all the info I could...

In October 2021 I got an email from Ipsy stating that my billing information needed to be updated while I was doing that I went ahead and I updated my address to a new address. I then made for orders within a few days in each other totaling over $300. Upon that last order I realized that the items were being sent to the old address so I immediately contacted customer service to let them know so they can update the address before it was shipped out so that it would be sent to the correct address. I did not get a response about 45 days later I realized that I hadn't heard from them so I then contacted them again. I was then informed that because I waited past 30 days that there was nothing that they would do for me because I was past the *** I told them that I had contacted them within a week of the total orders and that I had not gone past 30 days to contact him about the matter and ask them if they received my other emails. I informed them that they sent my orders to the old address and I have not received my orders. I told them that I would like my money back since I did not receive the products that I paid for. However every time I sent an email which will has to be over 12 to them talking about wings my money back or even a replacement order I was ignored. I have been struggling with getting a resolution from them for months now and they continue to ignore my emails. So they took my money sent my items to an old address that I no longer have access to and then told me but I was screwed because I didn't contact them within a reasonable amount of time which I did and I feel like this company has stolen from me. I've sent the many many emails trying to get them to fix the problem and the issue still is unresolved so now I am on here sending a complaint about their company I'm hoping to get a resolution and to let other people be warmed by the fraudulent company the *** Also I apologize if there's any heirs I have been using speak to text thank you

Ipsy keeps charging my credit card when I canceled and they are not shipping me any product.
I enrolled for a monthly membership to IPSY which delivers "glam bags" the business charged me twice for the month of March and I only received one glam bag. I attempted to cancel my subscription service. They continued to bill me in April. There are no customer representatives to contact for this issue. Their charges are fraudulent.
I bought a gift card for $100 for a friend in February. We both have made several attempts to redeem it unsuccessfully. I have reached out to them and tried seeking help. They refuse to guide us over the phone. They refuse any help other than telling us the same steps we already tried unsuccessfully. I requested to be reimbursed and they refuse.
I paid for a subscription with promise of a free $100 gift for subscribing. I received email confirming I would receive said gift. The first months package I received did not contain the $100 free gift so I emailed customer support and they assured it would be in the next months subscription. So now not only do I have to pay for two months to receive said gift which was not detailed in the redemption email I also did not receive the gift in my subsequent shipment. I emailed customer support again and they confirmed that it was sent. The only extra thing in my package was a blush valued at $18. This is was false advertising I never received what this business committed to sending me for my payment.
Approximately a year ago I signed up for the ipsy glam bag
Approximately a year ago I signed up for the ipsy glam bag. After getting about 6 months of these bags I reached out to cancel my subscription because I kept getting the same products in the bags each month it was not worth the money. In March of 2022 I contacted ipsy through my account by logging into my account online and requested a cancellation of my subscription for the ipsy refreshments glam bag the amount is $13.88 monthly. In viewing my bank statements I've come to realize that since March when I reached out to cancel my subscription I am still to this day being charged $13.88 for something that I do not receive. In June of this year I received an ipsy refreshments package but I did not start my subscription back up I then contacted ipsy again went through the process of canceling my subscription and realized several days ago that they are still continuing to charge me from March to present September of 2022 for the ipsy refreshment subscription that I've canceled twice. Cancellation with these people is an absolute nightmare it is not very user friendly and I believe that it's made that way so people cannot cancel their subscription and these people can continue to take the money out. I have received an email from these people confirming cancellation had I known then what I know now I would have kept a copy of the email I have looked for it and cannot locate it. I have screenshots of each month $13.88 coming out of my checking account and from March until September of 2022 each one of those payments have been unauthorized I have contacted my bank I'm going into dispute the charges as I just found out yesterday that I have been charged all this time. I am asking to better Business bureau to please please help me resolve this issue. I am on a fixed income I cannot afford to be paying for something that I do not receive and I refuse to pay for something that I'm not satisfied with and I refuse to allow these people to openly steal money from me. Please help!

I reached out to IPSY on 4/5/23 because I noticed a charge for IPSY on my CC. I thought I had canceled my subscription in February but I apparently only canceled ONE of the subscriptions instead of TWO... I didn't realize I had enrolled in two separate subscriptions through them, as I became an IPSY subscriber only one month prior in January of 2023 to try it out. I canceled my subscription for February 2023 because we were moving out of state. When I noticed the charge for *** pending in my bank account, I immediately reached out to customer support and let them know the situation. How I am PHYSICALLY UNABLE TO RECEIVE THE PACKAGE... they proceeded to tell me that the warehouse "may be" already assembling my order so there is nothing they can do about it. Apparently, this business is unable to communicate with their warehouse! lol, what a joke. Do not subscribe to this service. The customer service alone is a 0/10, and looking at the "products" they'll be shipping me this month... they are the EXACT same products I received in January... like I need 5 f'ing eyeliner pens in 2months. Here's an exact copy of the response I got:*** (IPSY)Apr 5, 2023, 3:43 PM PDT Hi ***, Thanks for reaching out. I understand your concern. I am here to help.I checked your account and I see here your account was canceled today. All cancellation requests must be made by 12 p.m. PT on the day before the 1st of the month to be effective for that month. Also, all address changes must be made prior to the 1st of the month to be effective for that month. After the 1st, our warehouse has already started preparing your order and the details can't be changed.Could you send me your new address so I can update your info? However, your *** Bag is being prepped for shipment and I wish I could stop this months order from shipping out, but our warehouse starts processing orders immediately so its already making its way to you. Thanks and I look forward to your response.
On April 8th, 2023, it came to my attention that Ipsy took $165 from my account WITHOUT my permission. Two weeks prior, I had tried to renew my subscription (one that I had 2 years ago) after receiving a new offer for $13 via email. I tried to purchase the glam bag for the amount of $13 but kept receiving an error message that my card wasn't working. I NEVER gave *** permission to take $165 from my account and also received an email that my order had been confirmed and was also being sent to my OLD address after receiving an error message numerous times while originally trying to place the order for $13. After realizing what happened, I quickly realized that you can't even reach ipsy over the phone and it seems as though it's extremely hard to reach anybody period. It's unacceptable that a company can charge you that amount of money and then make it nearly impossible to reach customer service. I hope they make this right.
I cannot seem to get my money back after they charged my bank every month after I canceled Over 90 dollars a month and I canceled twice! There is no phone number to talk to anyone I just want my money back and to cancel

Good Morning,I am writing on behalf of one of your former customers
Good morning, I am writing on behalf of one of your former customers. Was an ipsy member and received monthly product packages at her former residence at. In december 2017, moved out of that property and also contacted ipsy for instructions to cancel her membership. She received instructions from ipsy, followed them and canceled her membership successfully, or so she thought. From january 2018 through october 2022, has been having her bank account deducted for ipsy products that she is not receiving. She has not received one package at her new address and has not had any bags forwarded to her that have come to her old address. Since january of 2018, her bank account has been withdrawn for $899.51. This includes $689.51 in charges from ipsy and $210.00 in overdraft fees which occurred as a result of said charges. This bank account is active, however not in use and rarely checks it as she thought she had no activity on it. I suggest you get back to me at your earliest convenience with a plan to send a full refund of $899.51. As a senior contributor to the bbb (better business bureau), I have every intention to expedite this complaint and have it published immediately should our request go ignored. I also have a long-standing relationship with a local news station which runs a segment called "troubleshooters". This segment focuses on shining a light on businesses who take advantage of unsuspecting customers/consumers and airs across an audience of over 4 million people. This would focus on the unethical business practices as well as the possibility of mail fraud. Additionally, we have gathered some feedback from other customers of yours and is not the only one who has been taken advantage of. After countless attempts to contact you through other avenues, we have been left with no options that would receive a response.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I'm an ipsy subscriber and on march 2,20233 the amount for my subscription came out of my account. On march 14,i got email it had shipped.I have not received it nor can i track because the tracking number they provided me with does not work.I contacted the online help but they are giving me a run around.
on March 4, 2023 I was charged $15.99 by ipsy they were offering a 70% off sale with a new gift for new subscribers I subscribed for the mini glam box so its basically when you receive all testers. I then checked my email excited of subscription upon checking email I realized I did not receive anything from Etsy but I figured I would probably get an email later on in the day since I made my purchase at 4 AM but because I was so curious and wanted to make sure I signed out of my ipsy profile and when I tried to sign back in it kept saying I was putting in the wrong information so then I put forgot password when I put my email in ipsy then said that it has no account connected with my email.. I then checked my Transactions and it says that $15.99 was taken from ipsy company so Im not sure exactly how to feel especially now that I am seeing all of these complaints
I pay automatically every month and have for over tow years for this service. I have had several issues with shipping to the wrong address so I am either left waiting on things I do not want due to not having a choice or they refund some of my money. In November the sent 5 items to the wrong address and when I finally got in contact with customer service, they sent a replacement but it was only 3 items that I did not choose or could not use. Then customer service ignored all of my attempts after that. Last month they sent a package to the wrong address and issued a refund. That is not the point of ordering things nor did they offer anything but a refund to rectify the situation. Again, not why I order stuff EVERY MONTH, this April box was once again sent to the wrong address so who knows what will happen but I should not be subjected to such dismissal with customer service! They need to send a full replacement immediately with my original box items and figure out why they keep sending my stuff to the wrong address when my file CLEARLY HAS THE CORRECT ADDRESS. And giving me stupid points will not make up for the frustration and time I have spent dealing with this company. Ticket numbers *** dated 11/22 with checks Ticket number *** dated 3/28/3023 with *** Ticket number *** dated 4.5/ 2023 with *** who did not do anything!
I never received my March glam bag plus. I have been emailing and emailing with no response. It says delivered, but it never showed. Now I'm seeing that I've been charged for *** , and I'm concerned that won't come now as well.Basically I paid about $50 , $30 for my glam bag, and another 16 for the beauty boost. I received neither. I've emailed the company well over 10 times now and I think they may have blocked my email because I'm not even receiving the automated message anymore after I reach out. So now I was charged for March and never got my products. I've been charged for *** and have no clue if it's coming. At this point I just want my money back for March. I'm not waiting anymore, and I suppose I'll just hold Mt breath for ***? I've Basically had issues every month since I signed up but you guys blocking my email so I can't reach out to fix this Is a whole new low.
Ipsy Review: Late Packages, Lack of Variety, and Poor Customer Service
I've been a subscriber to ipsy for quite some time now, and I have to say, I've had my fair share of ups and downs with this company. When I first signed up, I was thrilled with the idea of receiving a little bag of goodies every month. It was like a surprise gift to myself that I could look forward to. However, as time went on, I started to notice some issues with the service.
First and foremost, the packages are never on time. And I mean NEVER. It's frustrating because we're charged a month in advance for these bags, so there's absolutely no reason for them to be late. I'm about to be charged for a third month and I haven't even received one bag yet. How is it fair to charge for three months before even sending a package that we paid for nearly three months ago? It's ridiculous.
To make matters worse, ipsy doesn't compensate or do anything to fix their issues or satisfy their displeased customers. It's unprofessional and quite frankly, a rip-off. We're paying two to three months in advance before even receiving one month's package. So essentially, we're paying triple the price before we even get one bag. It's not worth it.
And let's talk about the products themselves. No matter how many times I update my quiz, they always seem to send the same products over and over again. I'm talking about an eyeliner and mascara that are very petite portions of product and the same color of eyeshadow over and over again. For two years straight, I've received mascara and an eyeliner as two of my products out of five, along with a cheap makeup brush. It's not exciting at all.
In conclusion, I think ipsy needs new management entirely. They've made millions of customers and more money, but their products have gotten worse instead of better. My advice? Save your money and go to the store to pick out a product you truly want. You'll be disappointed with the crap they keep sending instead of getting better.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Ipsy: A Review
I used to be a subscriber of Ipsy about a year ago, but I had to cancel it because I was receiving a lot of products that I wasn't interested in. However, I received an email from them today about a free ultra matte lipstick from Colourpop, and I was excited to resubscribe. I clicked on the link to claim my free gift, but unfortunately, it didn't allow me to select it. I was frustrated, so I decided to contact them through email. However, I saw on Facebook that they respond faster on Twitter, so I logged onto my Twitter account, which I don't use very often.
I ended up sending two tweets by accident because I didn't know how to use Twitter properly. I thought my tweets didn't send because I couldn't find them, but I later discovered that they were under a different category on Twitter called "tweets and replies." Since I didn't want to overwhelm them with too many messages, I decided to send them a private message with my email address associated with my Ipsy account.
Later that day, I received a very rude and nasty email from Ipsy, accusing me of overwhelming them with too many messages. I felt like they were blaming me for their own busy schedule. As a paying customer, I believe that there is a certain way to treat customers, and the tone and wording of their message was unacceptable. I am usually a very understanding person, but I couldn't stand to be spoken to like that.
On top of that, their email link didn't work properly, and it seemed a bit sketchy. As a result, I have decided to cancel my Ipsy subscription completely and take my business elsewhere to Birchbox and the actual Colour Pop website. I will not be returning to Ipsy, even with their "free gifts."
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with ipsy During Pandemic
I've been a loyal customer of ipsy for several years now. I started with just the glam bag subscription, but as they introduced new subscriptions, I added them in too. I never had any issues with their service until the pandemic hit. Suddenly, I started receiving items that were not in my profile, and most of them were not even close to what I had selected. Out of the five items in my bag, I would only get one or two that I could actually use. I tried to bring this to their attention, but they just brushed me off and blamed it on my reviews. They even said that profiles are not guaranteed, which was never an issue before.
I sent two emails to their customer service team, but they didn't seem to care about my concerns. Then, my glam bag x subscription came up, and I picked my items on the 3rd. However, when I received my box, none of my picks were inside. I immediately reached out to customer service again, but they just blamed it on me and said that I didn't submit my picks on time. I told them that I had selected my items on the 3rd, but they just blamed it on the app and suggested that I use their website instead. They didn't even try to make it right or take any accountability for their mistake.
It's really disappointing to see a company that is owned by an influencer treat their customers this way. I would much rather go to a company that actually appreciates me and values my business. It's sad to say, but I ended up cancelling all three of my subscriptions because of their lack of customer service. I hope they can improve their service in the future and treat their customers with the respect they deserve.
Disappointing Experience with Ipsy: Delayed Delivery and Poor Customer Service
I signed up for ipsy back in April, and I was super excited to get my hands on my first glam bag. I was thrilled when I received an email saying that I was taken off the waitlist and that I would be receiving my April glam bag soon. However, May has come and gone, and I still haven't received my glam bag that I was charged for in April. I haven't even received any tracking information, which is super frustrating.
I decided to reach out to the company to see what was going on. I sent them an email asking about my April glam bag and why I hadn't received it yet. Unfortunately, the response I got seemed like an automated message that didn't really address my concerns. I decided to email them again, this time letting them know that I had changed my address at the end of April and asking about my April glam bag again. I also made it clear that I had changed my address to avoid any issues with my May glam bag.
Unfortunately, the response I got back was pretty disappointing. They seemed to think that I was asking for a reimbursement for my address change, which wasn't the case at all. I just wanted to know where my April glam bag was and why I hadn't received it yet. It was frustrating to feel like they weren't really listening to me or addressing my concerns.
Overall, I don't have a lot of faith in a company that conducts all of their business through email. It's frustrating to have to wait two or three days (or even four!) to get a response about a product that you're paying for and not receiving. While I'm sure that there are plenty of success stories out there, my experience with ipsy wasn't a great one. I decided to cancel my subscription so that I wouldn't have to deal with any more hassle in the future.
Disappointing ipsy Experience: Products Not Tailored to My Preferences and Frustrating Sign-Up Process
I decided to give ipsy a try because I'm not really a makeup expert. I usually only wear a little bit of mascara and eyeliner for work, and I've been doing it the same way for years. I thought it would be nice to try out some new products without having to spend a lot of money, so I signed up for the $10 bag.
The problem is that the products I received weren't really things I was interested in trying. I got a sneak peek at what was coming, and I saw that I would be getting blow dry cream (what even is that?), hydrating primer (which is nice, but useless without any foundation), blush (which is too dark for my fair skin), and "eyebrow gel mascara" (which I don't even know how to use). The only thing I might use is the loose powder foundation brush.
I was really disappointed because I had hoped to get products that I could actually use. I took the quiz before ordering, but it didn't seem like they paid any attention to my answers. It's frustrating because I feel like I wasted my money on products that I won't even use.
To make matters worse, they put me on a waiting list when I first signed up and asked me to spam my friends on social media before taking me off early. I didn't want to do that, so I emailed them and asked them to take me off the list and cancel my order. Instead, they took me off the waiting list and charged me for my order early. It was really frustrating because it felt like they weren't listening to me at all.
Overall, I don't think I'll be continuing my subscription. While I did like some of the products I received, I didn't like enough of them to make it worth it. Plus, the whole experience was frustrating and felt like a waste of money.
Ipsy Review: Great Products, But Shipping Needs Improvement
I've been a subscriber of ipsy for around 6-7 months now, and I've also purchased two ipsy offers from their website. While I've enjoyed the products I've received in my monthly bags, I have had some issues with their shipping process. My bag often arrives after the 15th of the month, which is later than I would like. I found out that they use FedEx Smartpost to ship their products, which is slower than ground shipping. This is frustrating because their website states that products that are not hazardous will be shipped via FedEx expedited air service, which should take 2-5 business days.
I recently purchased an ipsy offer that contained no hazardous materials, but it took over 10 days to get to me because they shipped it via FedEx Smartpost. I emailed their customer service to ask about this, and they told me that they trust their shipping partners to determine the best and safest way to deliver the package. They also said that they stand by the quality of their service and will offer replacements for undelivered products at no cost to me.
While I appreciate their commitment to customer service, I'm not sure I believe that they have no control over how their products are shipped. I think that ipsy should take responsibility for telling FedEx how they want their products shipped, whether it's via air, ground, or Smartpost. I didn't receive a response after I questioned this, so I decided to cancel my subscription.
Overall, I think that ipsy has some great products, but their shipping process needs improvement. If they could guarantee that their products would arrive on time and via the shipping method of my choice, I would consider subscribing again.
IPSY Review: Inefficient and Terrible Customer Service
I've been using IPSY for a month now and I have to say, I'm not impressed. My first bag disappeared from the app and I had to reach out to customer service to find out where it was. Thankfully, they responded quickly and gave me a tracking number. I finally received my order yesterday.
However, I have two other orders that I still haven't received because of an "insufficient address" issue. This doesn't make any sense to me because they were able to send me my glam bag. I contacted customer service about this and they told me that my apartment number was missing from my address. But that's not true because I received a package from them in my mailbox, which clearly has my apartment number on it. I told them this, but they insisted that they "verified" my address and that it didn't have my apartment number. It feels like they're just trying to blame me for their mistake.
To make matters worse, they're making me contact the carrier myself to try and resolve the issue. I tried contacting the carrier, but they told me to contact IPSY. So now I'm stuck in this frustrating cycle of trying to get my orders delivered. I've asked for a refund for the two orders that haven't been delivered, but I haven't received a response yet. And when I tried to cancel my glam bag for the month, they told me they don't do refunds. That's pretty disappointing.
Overall, I think IPSY is very inefficient and their customer service is terrible. They're insisting that I didn't put the correct address, even though I clearly did. It's frustrating to deal with a company that won't take responsibility for their mistakes. I'm attaching some photos for reference - one of the FedEx package I received and one of the DHL package with the "insufficient address" issue. And the email from customer service is just them insisting that my address is incomplete, without offering any real solutions.
Ipsy Review: Disappointing Social Media Pressure, Long Wait Times, and Poor Customer Service
So, I gotta say, I'm still pretty ticked off about ipsy. I mean, seriously, who do they think they are? Here's the deal, folks:
1. Not everyone is all over social media. I mean, I have a Facebook account, but I don't post every five minutes like some people. And I sure as heck don't have a Twitter or Instagram or whatever else they want you to have. So why should I be penalized for that?
2. And speaking of social media, have you seen the crap they post on your page? I had like ten friends post the same thing about ipsy, and it was so annoying. And apparently, it posted multiple times for some of them. Like, come on, ipsy, get your act together.
3. Waiting two months or more for your first bag? That's just ridiculous. I've subscribed to other services before, and they never made me wait that long. What's the hold up, ipsy?
4. And don't even get me started on the whole "post on social media to skip the waitlist" thing. I mean, I'm not a walking billboard for ipsy. I'll promote them when I actually get the product and like it, thank you very much.
5. And last but not least, their customer service is a joke. Sure, they'll apologize up and down if you threaten to cancel, but then they try to guilt you into staying. Like, sorry, not sorry, I'm done with this nonsense. And then when they realize you're really leaving, they either don't respond or take forever to get back to you. Real classy, ipsy.
*But I will say, they didn't charge me for any bags, so I guess that's something. Maybe they finally realized they shouldn't mess with me.
How did you get away with them never charging you?
Ipsy Glam Bag Review: Total Crap & Terrible Customer Service - Don't Join!
So, I recently got all three Ipsy Glam bags, The Glam Bag, Glam Bag Plus, and Glam Bag X. Let me tell you about my Glam Bag ($13). I filled out my beauty quiz and said that I wanted makeup more than anything else. I was supposed to get 3 skin care products, a mini eyeshadow palette (yay!), and a liquid highlighter (not really my thing). But, I haven't even received it yet, and it's been weeks.
Then there's my Glam Bag Plus ($28). I was supposed to get 3 skincare products and 2 makeup products, but the makeup products were just an eyeliner and a mascara (pretty cheap, if you ask me). And 2 of the 3 skincare items were things I would expect to find at the dollar store.
Finally, there's my Glam Bag X ($55). This one was supposed to be the best, but it was the worst. I was supposed to get 1 single makeup product, a lipstick (which I don't even wear and made that clear in my beauty quiz). And I was supposed to get 1 tool and 6 skincare products, but 4 of the 6 were things I would expect to find at the dollar store. I was beyond disappointed.
But that's not even the worst part. I had so many problems with customer service. Every time I tried to shop their "Flash Sale," I got a message saying I didn't have payment info on file. But I knew I did because they were charging me for my bags (which I still haven't received). I kept entering my payment info, but I kept getting the same message. When I contacted customer service, I got a response from a bot that didn't even answer my question. When I finally got a person, they told me I couldn't shop the flash sales because they couldn't ship to foreign countries yet due to customs regulations. But I live in Alaska, which is part of the US, and there are no customs regulations to ship here from where they are.
I had so many more problems with customer service, but I don't want to bore you with all the details. So, in short, DO NOT JOIN IPSY. It's total crap.
Mixed feelings about Ipsy: Great products, bad customer service
I really enjoy my Ipsy bags. For only ten bucks, I get almost three full size items and two deluxe size samples, plus a cute little cosmetic bag. It's always a nice surprise to see what I'll get each month. What's even better is that I have the opportunity to purchase high-end products at a fraction of the price, and they offer discounts through name brand sites via a promo code.
However, I did have a problem when I was looking around the site and found out that I can accumulate points to receive deluxe products. You get points by doing reviews, ratings, and comments and posting them to your Facebook or other social media. I did a lot of them one night and received all my points, but the next morning when I set out to do more, I didn't receive the correct amount of points for the posts I had made. I contacted them via email, and they responded that there was something wrong with their system and they were working on correcting it.
Now, the system is back up, but I'm still fighting to get my points. Several different associates have contacted me, but each of them fails to read past emails and have to be informed once again about the problem. The last girl that contacted me asked me twice to do thirty screen shots of my Facebook to prove that I did the posts so that I could receive the points I had done the work for. I was so angry that I told her to eff off in not so many words.
Despite the bad customer service skills, I still think that Ipsy is a decent item. I just wish that they would fix their system and train their associates better. I'm also never writing another review about them unless it's negative. They really need to step up their game.

Ipsy glam bag plus
In July 1 product, Dr Brandt eye cream, was missing from my bag. I contacted customer service and was told it would be sent out within 15 days. They sent me a cheap makeup. I complained to customer service and their response was to give me 600 points. All that would have gotten me was a sample size product from a very limited selection. I complained again and was told that it would be taken care of. I get that the item I ordered might not be available but send me a similar replacement. Still waiting to see if they do send anything. Today I received my Aug glam bag plus and it only contained 1 item! This bag is missing 4 items. Unbelievable. I have messaged ipsy customer service, yet again but have not heard back. It might be time to drop ipsy as it looks like this might be an ongoing problem.
Desired outcome: I want the products I ordered sent out immediately
double charge moved no bags
so to keep it short and simple I was charged 2xs in Dec haven't received either bag and I moved alerted then of new address and still nothing...
Desired outcome: I either want a refund or bags
Unauthorized charge on card
I have had an online subscription with this company for over a year. $12 per month for a glam bag/cosmetic bag each month. Everything went smoothly during that time. This week I got a $50 unauthorized charge. Tried to contact the company. No phone number to reach customer service. Tried to email, no response bc my email password has been changed and I can not reset it. It says they're sending me an email to reset password, and I never receive it. I want my money back immediately. This also caused my account to overdraft as I use it to pay bills. I have found out recently that this company is notorious for this type of behavior.
glam bag plus
They did NOT send full size like they say. Since when is a full size bottle of body lotion a piddly 2.25 oz?!
Also they must not have even looked at my profile cuz they sent 2 things I cant even use. UGH
I had been getting just the regular glam bag and was satisfied with it and thought Id try the glam bag plus, but I think Im going back to the small one... Maybe... Not very thrilled with them ATM...
