Do not use them, my advise.
1. quality is bad.
2. I was promised 3 extra month free when I signed up. I returned the necessary form for this offer. However, the offer never happen when my contract expired.
3. I transfer the phone number out and thought that the service would have cut off. This is not the case. No one informed me and they continue to charge me.
4. When I realize the above and quickly called them to confirm my cancellation after the contract, they refuse to let me cancel, telling me that I am one day pass the expiration date and the contract now goes monthly. They said they will charge me $25 for that month regardless, even if I cancel right away.
5. few days later, my credit card was charged $334 for annual renewal. Geee...I have told them I cancelled contract, and did not they told me they will charge me an extra month? no, now they charge me $334 for one year illegally without my permission.
6. I write to them to enquire. They said they will refund me when they receive the modem from me. This is radiculous. The contract said that if they did not receive the modem back, they will charge something like $55 for the modem. Now, they instead want to hold my annual fee $334.
7. overall, this is a company that you do not want to deal with.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I am also an user of iTalkBB, I have used it for nearly 2 year, and haven't gotten into those situations the user above talked about because I am AWARE of most of rules, policies...ect. before I sign up with them. Whenever I encounter any question or problem, I just call usually since their customer service is 24 hours, easy to get to talk to a real person, and they even speak Mandarin. For your 3 month free case, I would just call, seriously! There might be some misunderstanding there, so why don't you just call and find out.
I know it sounds like a bit hazel, but look, it's at least 30 mins to get to talk to somebody when you call AT&T or Verizon that kind of companies, while it's usually just 3 mins to reach a customer service rep with iTalkBB. Besides, I haven't really find a better deal than iTalkBB among those big brand name companies, so since I am paying way less, I just have to put a bit more effort though~
There should never be any misunderstanding, the staff at italkbb should be trained better and do a better job of explaining to their customers if they want to win their business, NO EXCUSES PERIOD
Paying less is not an excuse for poor service, you said it paying means it's not free
hi, sc12, ATT and Verizon won't fraudulently charge a customer's credit card. This company, I mean italkbb, is fraudulent. They charged my credit card for something I never ordered without my authorization. The worst part, they refused to issue credit back to my card. I'm going to report to the law enforcement agency.
I would suggest that everybody, including its current subscribers, be extremely careful when dealing with this company.
I'm not so sure about your claim about fraudulent charges here. The contract you signed states automatic renewal unless you cancel, correct? You already stated you didn't cancel, so? What do you expect?
Italkbb is a scam. Don't use them. You will feel sorry. I did not want their service last December. They held my number in hostage and did not want to give the number to my new carrier. After I constantly called them, they finally released the number but then charged me two extra months that I did not receive or call out. These people are Chinese bandits. They evaded all kind out excise taxes for many years.
I've been spending that last seven hours trying to solve one simple issue that seems to have turned into a fiasco. All I wanted to do was t0 keep my local phone number (which they replaced with a "temporary customer number"), but apparently the ITalkBB lines said they couldn't due to some configuration problem. In this case, they tried bringing up some internet scenario that wasn't stated in the installation paper and unavailable at there website. I called here lines several times only to be shifted around different representatives that seemed more interested in setting up new deals rather than fixing my problem.
italkbb is the terrible and [censor] service telecommunication in the world. first their staff English is crap they can't even spell and type. i called up to cancel my account, each time i called up they give me a excuse can not do it and finally after called 2 weeks for 18 calls they finally did it but they will not refund my money just simply a excuse that my account name they typed in is not the bank account name. What the hell is this ? and after even you don't want the money, they still keep calling you annoying you non stop.
They are all lies about refund money, its a fraud and you will never can cancel your accounts.

italkbb is cheating! They pulled my phone number from COMCAST, told me it won't affect my current triple play, I even pay less than before. Which is not true!
Don't trust those sales person, they took no responsibility for what they said. They are cheating!
Love your life, stay away from italkBB. The sound quality is BAD! When you finish your contract, you want to cancel service? Sorry, their service lady will always tell you: call back please, the department is busy now. Actually they are always busy because many people want to cancel their service.
italkbb is really a fraud, I had similar experiences like many of the reported stories here: they pulled out all kinds of dirty tricks to keep charging my card despite my many repeated effort to cancel (by phone, by email) over a matter of months. They just keep charging my credit card no matter what I do. In fact, they won't even allow me to remove my credit card info from my account. To this date, I have not been able to transfer my phone number away from italkbb as they continue to make attempts to charge my credit card (I've blocked the card now). It's a nightmare that just won't be over.
Signing on to italkbb has been the biggest mistakes for me...it's like signing on to a contract with a devil.
I transferred my home phone # from ITalkBB to Straight Talk because Straight Talk supports home phone that does not need WIFI. The transfer was successfully completed 3 months ago and ITalkBB still charges me line fee every month! Beware when you cancel a service from ITalkBB.

I am ten years customer. I found recently that they charged more for old customer than new customers. I compared their service to other service, ItalkBB is really too expensive. I transferred my service to other company in Jan 20, but the ItalkBB still charge me my Feb service. I just call them. They said that they don't have my transfer record and they still provide service. Actually the transfer was done in Jan 20, Incoming call has not been set up. I said that you call my home phone now, if it go through, That means ItalkBB still provides service. It is fair test for both sides. They refused, but still insist charging money. The representative's attitude is bad.

ITALKBB is a scam, SPYWARE, and tracking "service" by CHINESE GOVERNMENT. I'm reporting this company to FCC!
FIRST, they refuse to cancel my account, kept on charging my bank account. Second, it is being reportedly mentioned, they will track conversation, GPS, and very very sneaky hidden spyware back door sort of data leakage (if you have internet with them) the data leakage movement happens on and before each ON/OFF of PCs.

Just let the customers to know what am I experiencing regarding the security camara this company offered, the company called and insisted want me to try it for one month free, as soon as I got the camara and realized that I don't really need it, without open the box and I started to contact them to return it, the process has begun, wanted me to take the pictures in and outside even-though I told them that I didn't even open the box, doesn't matter I have to do what they said until they satisfied, then let me wait to get approval to give me the definition of where to return, one month after and I still didn't get the response from the company of where to retune? The worst thing they did was started to take the money from my credit card of $ 600 and I have told when they got the camara and they will return the money back to my account. I asked them, its not I didn't want to return it, its because you never told me where to return even-though I have been calling them once a week to follow up and nobody cares!
When I finish the returning of camara( still didn't finish the returning yet) I will discontinue to use their home phone service, I am done with this company.
