un professional and business not in order
ndrew ****** convinced me to pay my entire fee instead of paying it over three years so that i would be certified now.
I finished the ITEACH program.I fully paid for the program.I then was just waiting for ITEACH to turn in my certification request to the DOE.Andrew ****** forgot to turn in my certification request after months.I started a new school year thinking i was certified and I was not.The school then began making budget cuts. They cut teachers who are not certified first.I was cut becaus ei was not certified because Andrew ****** forgot to turn in my request.I then called him to tell him what was going on and he apologized but acted like he did not care.I lost the best job I ever had because he forgot. I was sent to a horrible job teaching a horrible subject.I then talked to the owner I told her how when he finally did turn in my paperwork he misspelled my name and put me to be certified for the wrong grade. She was very rude .She didnot offer a refund or anything to help my situation from me now having mileage expensive or me having to buy a classroom full of things for another grade level. Why convince me to hurry and pay for my 5500 fee. Then I talked to the other Rozell brother or relative ghe was rude.He tried to say Iteach Louisiana and iteach texas are soo different but he still handles parts of it.The owner is is rude, No one helped me or refunded any of my mone BEWARE ITEACHLOUISIANA fast cheap but not professional and may not remember to turn in your certification info which is the most important part, NO real support for those outside Texas
I teach application process & customer service - disgraceful
Entirely unprofessional, rude, misleading and patronizing. Mr Zach Rozell was the most unreasonable and condescending individual I have come into contact with in 15 years of working in public services. Having postgraduate qualifications from the UK, including a publication, plus graduate study in which USA, Mr Rozell felt it appropriate that I take basic English tests to demonstrate my proficiency. He would not tolerate any reasonable discussion and insinuated I spoke untruths when I questioned misleading information I was given by his team. I tried to make a complaint twice to the director, but any complaints go through him, therefore I was completely ignored. I teach Texas took my money for an initial fee and I had to pay to have transcripts sent to them. All my correspondence with him was insulting and patronizing. I wish I had read other reviews before I attempted to pursue a career through I teach Texas. It is a grave worry for me that this man oversees the next generation of educators for my children.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
instruct.net conflicting instructions
After applying for iTeach, I was sent to Instruct.net. There I did the two surveys, the Summative Assessment, and am waiting on my transcript to be sent over from my university. While waiting, I decided to do the 'Test Passed' sub-section below the 5000 Level Course. Clicking the link takes me to a screen that asks for me to create a TEAL account. I do so. Following this, I cannot take a PACT or any other test as I am not viable to take them.
The instructions on the Applied Course homepage is conflicting. Above the sub-courses check box, it says do NOT create a TEAL account, but then proceeds to provide a link that says I have to. Very frustrating and convoluted.
They helped me swiftly. I made a mistake posting a complaint out of frustration.

unethical behavior
I had completed my online coursework with iteachtexas, passed my certification testing which I paid for myself and was hired by a district for a teaching position. I began having some health issues and contacted the district and iteachtexas for assistance. The district in which I was hired was willing to work with me and allowed me to use my days and the sick bank days until I recovered (August, 2016).
However, Mr.Rozell, of iteachtexas refused to come to a resolution of the problem WITH me & the district and told me to resign my teaching position. I had submitted medical documentation which indicated in bold letters that I needed to be off for an extended period of time. Mr. Rozell indicated that the document was not sufficient enough for him and his organization. I was told by Mr. Rozell that I was lying about my condition because I did not want the position. Pure nonsense on his behalf.
In the meantime, I was in the process of getting a second medical opinion. Mr. Rozell demanded more documentation and stated that if I didn't submit the required documentation that I would never teach in the State of Texas again and would be sued for remaining balance of my tuition. It was a week before I received the documentation. By that time, I received an e-mail from an attorney on behalf of iteachtexas located in Dallas, Texas stating that I was being sued.I was dismayed.
How am I supposed to pay for tuition if I was forced to resign from a position I truly wanted? Iteachtexas is a rip-off. They are very rude and are only in business to take individuals money and to purposefully set individual up so they won't be able to successfully complete the program.I feel as though I wasted my time, money and still cannot fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming a teacher.
Please stay away from iteachteach if YOU want to teach in the state of Texas or any other state iteachtexas supposedly conducts their business activities.
After a post/email was made by program director, the matter is being resolved. A miscommunication occurred between myself and those involved. Please remove the complaint. Thank You!
Same thing happened to me and I got sued! They do not work with you. They tell you to resign then sue you! They prevent you from teaching in the State. Thank God I can fall back on my Science degree to survive! They are rios offs.
Want to be teachers beware of Iteach. I initially felt empowered by their curriculum, but in retrospect, it’s the same cookie cutter, readily available teacher wanna be teacher stuff you can buy at any bookstore. However, iteach is grossly negligent, in their failure to comply with the legal requirements of field experience. Hello TEA, where are you? For sure you are where you never have to answer your phone, one of the perks provided because you work for Goliath, the government.

original transcripts are not returned by iteach texas
What the law says is that they have to keep evidence of the candidate's eligibility. It means candidate must send or give original transcript to the educator preparation program and the educator preparation program should take a copy from the original and return the original to the candidate immediately, if they already signed all documents to join in the program.
The following is the Texas administration code. Title 19, Part 7, Chapter 228, Rule 228.40, “(d) An educator preparation program shall retain documents that evidence a candidate's eligibility for admission to the program and evidence of completion of all program requirements for a period of five years after program completion.” It asks for keeping copies of the transcript as evidence. It does not ask to keep others (who did not join in their program) original transcript in iteach TEXAS files.
Filling just an online application does not mean joining in a program. The candidate has to join in the program by signing in a document. I never signed any document using a pen with iteach TEXAS. I asked the iteach TEXAS to close my file as I did not want to join in their program. They already closed my file on Monday, October 1, 2012 8:30 AM, according their email reply. I and iteach TEXAS people including Zach Rozell have been keep sending atleast ten emails until oct 05, 2012 night. One day I and iteach people were discussing over phone also. What is the need of calling again over phone. Until oct 05, I was replying to all his emails. Today Oct 06, 2012 also he sent one email in the mid day. I deleted it without reading, as I had been keep replying to his emails until yesterday.
Now I come to know that iteach TEXAS mark on others original credentials (transcripts) also. People should aware of it. As far as I know, No one has any right to write or mark on any one's original transcript (credentials).
iteach texas does not return original transcripts to the owner
iteachTEXAS is also known as iteach us and so on reportedly an online alternative certificate program. I did not join in iteach TEXAS program. I just filled a form via online in iteach TEXAS, paid $50 application fees and sent my original transcripts via mail to iteachTEXAS. I asked them to close my account and return my original transcripts, as I did not want to join in their program. They closed my account as requested and did not return my original transcript by saying those transcripts will be in their file and will not be returned. Why iteachTEXAS should keep my original transcripts in their office, when I will not join in their program? They do not even say their office location correctly. They give only PO Box address.

All application and submitted documentation for admission to the iteachTEXAS programs are done voluntary by an individual. As stated on the Application Tab of our website, www.iteachtexas.com, "all documentation submitted to iteachTEXAS becomes the property of iteachTEXAS and will not be returned to the provider". Furthermore, prior to the submission of an application to the iteachTEXAS program, an applicant will affirmed the following attestation of agreement:
"I do herby verify that this information is correct and current. I understand that if all information is not submitted, the application process will be delayed. All documents become the property of iteachTEXAS and will not be returned. All program fees are non-refundable." Not only is the information regarding the retention of documentation clearly presented on the website, it is agreed to prior to the willing and voluntary submission of the applicant.
When documents are received, iteachTEXAS marks on them to identify the person and program of study, also internal marks and notations are made to denote completed coursework that is applicable to a content area. All documentation is then retained by iteachTEXAS as part of the candidate's file.
Additionally, under the Texas Administrative Code, the state requires that a program retain documents for a period of five years. I have reached out to this individual on multiple occasion but they have not returned my phone calls.
Zach Rozell, iteachTEXAS
