My wife and I found Danni Minogue's comments on X-factor tonight extremely repulsive. Browsing through numerous internet sites, we saw a growing crowd of ITV viewers asking for Danni's resignation from the talent show, plus or minus a public apology for discrimination on public TV!
I think she has forgotten very quickly that her only claim to fame and wealth has been the goodwill of the very same people she has so flagrantly insulted tonight. I think she should either leave or be fired with immediate effect!

As a fellow Australian I was disgusted by her comments tonight on the X factor. How dare she put a contenstant on the spot as she did and make fun of him. She has road the coat tail of her sister for too long, who is she to make a comment and also make reference to his apparent ' attitude' ... She is the one with the attitude. What a discrace.

I am absolutely disgusted with Dani Minogue's comments on the X Factor, who does she think she is. She should be made to publicly apologise for her offensive comments and then be sacked.

I have never complained about anything in my life and just cannot get her comments out of my head. The poor guy, trying to make a go of his singing career, and be humiliated by a nobody . (Lets be honest - why is she famous? I think that Simon Cowel needs to call for her resignation or sack the petty, immature nobody off his show.

everybody has a right to thier own opinion and danni was just telling the nation hers. she is a legend and i have nothing but respect for her honest human opinion.
what fantastic courage it must have taken for her to tell the world what is obviously just the truth deepdown.
we could all learn a thing or two from this remarkable lady and i for one hope she continues to finish this series of the x factor as well as appearing more on television in the future.
danni minogue ftw = )

I was absolutely shocked to hear Danni's live comments on X factor. It was a completely inappropriate thing to say. WHY try to publicly humiliate someone who had already made the courageous decision to announce in the papers he is bisexual? And WHAT has this in any way shape or form got to do with his talent as a singer or who he is as a person?
This was a cheap shot from Danni to put herself into the limelight - well its going to badly backfire in terms of the general public's respect and opinion of the woman...AND will almost certainly spark public sympathy for Danyl - which he deserves - he looked like he could barely keep it together following her despicable spiteful comments.

I have written to ITV and OFCOM complaining.

I shall watch X Factor tonight for one rason only - to check she makes a heartfelt public apology! If not I shall be writing again.

I think even Simon Cowell was lost for words!

I am shocked by Danni Minogue's comments on x factor. Her only job is window dressing, why did she make such horrible veiled homophobic comments to a nervous young man on television? Why did she repeat it? why did she smile so much? I have never complained about a tv show before. but to tear this man apart on live TV... sorry its too much...

I am sure that Danni woke up this morning mortified at her stupid and hurtful comment. But being mortified is not enough. She is a judge of a talent competition and needs to be held to the same standards that other professionals willing adhere to. She tried to belittle a fantastic performance by drawing the spotlight off of Danyls's talent and on to his sexuality. I am still trying to understand how sexuality factors into the criteria for a singing performance. Danni NEEDS to leave the show.

As a gay man, I am hurt and angry about her comment, and feel that it only serves to engage homophobic sentiment. Furthermore, as a teacher I am aware that Danyl is unable to disclose his sexuality on tv, as he would probably be forced to resign his post as a teacher. Danni should have considered this, as Danyl was unable to say anything, which made him appear shameful of his sexuality. The position she put Danyl in was inexcusable in my opinion, and Danni should be asked to apologise to Danyl and to the ITV audience.

Danni's comment last night was disgusting, small-minded and cruel but what angered me most was the fact that it was completely irrelevant. And then I saw Danyl having to defend himself by saying "I'm not ashamed". Well he shouldn't be ashamed, and he should never have been subjected to humiliation. He shouldn't have been made to feel that he needed to defend his sexuality. It has absolutely nothing to do with the public, the judges or the show itself and the whole point of a TALENT show is that the contestants are judged on their TALENT.
There is no place for her small mindedness and ignorance in this day and age.
She should definatly apologise on tonights' show and, if she doesn't resign immediately, she should definately go next year. She has no place on the panel and brings nothing to the show but shallow and hurtful comments.
GOODBYE DANNI.

OMG, Alfred, you're a homophobe aren't you! No wonder you agree with Danni. You sad person. She publicly humiliated him on live television for god's sake! I have totally gone off the woman and i hope she apologises for her actions.

I also agree with the comments about Danni Minogue's comments on last nights X-factor. Just WHO does she think she is to sit in judgement of Danyl... The world is made up of many unique individuals who live their lives the way they choose. I have never complained about a TV programme before but was so outraged I was compelled to complain. ITV should make an example of her.

I was horrified and shocked at Danni Minogue's comments after Danyl's performance last night. What on earth has his sexuality got to do with his singing? And who gives her the right to pass judgement on another human being. She totally humiliated him when he was not in a position to defend himself. I am disgusted and hope she apologies unreservedly and resigns with immediate effect.

he deliberatly changed the lyrics of the song and danni was just pointing out that he shouldn't have bothered. if anything this is ALL Danyl's fault for starting it, if he hadn't changed the words none of this would have ever happened.
i hope Danni stands up for herself and doesn't apologise but seeing as society is always looking for someone to have a go at i believe the public will probably force her into it. sad really.

Her comments were totally inappropriate. If she had had a dig at his colour/race she would have been in trouble straight away but if nothing is done about this, it would show that having a dig is someones sexuality is seen as acceptable. ITV should sort this out straight away.

I agree. I felt so sorry for Danyl when i watched the programme and saw what Danni said, the publics support of her is what has kept her where she is now, she is not anymore famous then the contestants on the show. I think her comments were a cheap shot to humiliate Danyl as she has to point out what people have probably read anyway. Whether he is bisexual or not has nothing to do with his performance or what a talented singer he is. She had nothing to critisise him for so took that nasty and spitefull dig instead. I think she should resign. What a nasty thing to say to him and you could see how shocked and hurt he was by it. She even smiled while she said it, disgusting. Danyl is my favourite and i will continue to back him, i hope he wins! Plus i think people have failed to notice Louis quite ridiculous comment about him not having the likeabiliy factor.. of course he does, the public love this guy! Plus to tell him he is acting to confident is ridiculous, if he didnt act confident he would be critisied for that! All the comments this week were totally unjustified and if anything have now knocked his confidence and made him m ore nervous.

Danni Minogue voiced her opinion like Simon does. Join the real world and bet youre one of the humanitarians of this world. This country is too PC orientated. My father fought for this country and his father. What do you do MOAN, DRIP and COMPLAIN. GET A LIFE. Try boycotting those stupid twins because it is a FIX. They are absolutely crap crap crap. People must be tonedeaf and ignorant. Its a damn insult to my intelligence and anyone who doesnt complain is unethical. The twins shouldve gone and the other two stayed. One word springs to mind PATHETIC...Danni has done nothing wrong
