ring purchased through jcpenney.com and subsequent treatment
I purchased a ring earlier this year and purchased the lifetime warranty with it. Within weeks stones fell out. Then more stones fell out and a piece of the ring broke off. Took it into store for repair and they would only give me money back. They would not exchange the ring even though you still sell the ring and also would not reimburse me the money I spent on the warranty even though the ring broke within weeks of purchase. I lost a lot of money and don't think I will be shopping JC Penney anymore. Pitiful customer service.

I purchase 2 JF Basic Fashiion Dress Shirts today. In this store there was a buy 1 and get on for 1 penny. I thought I purchase the same " Basic" shirt, but I didn't ( I got the Stretch Care). I was charged about $65. I returned a couple hours later and tried to exchange it for the Basic shirt. When I exchange they didn't give me a refund of $25. They said it was even exchange but I want the what was the sale ( get one get for a 1 penny) which would have brought my total to a little over $40. Now I have a cheaper quality shirt and lost $25 all in 3 hours. If you want to see my receipts, I will be happy to show you. I love JC Penney and never had a problem the service. Normally I would file a complaint, but I can see myself giving $25 away.

This associate was very unprofessional and rude. I was at the counter waiting for her to find my package and I heard her talking about me to her coworker, saying that should have waited for the store to notify me before coming in. She then asked another coworker to tell me that my package was not there, which her coworker refused to do. I'm within earshot so I'm hearing everything that's being said. She then called the manager (Joe) but she had located my package by the time he arrived. The manager and her other coworkers apologized for the inconvenience, but she did not utter on word. I was shocked by this kind of treatment because this has never happened to me before at this store. Needless to say I won't be shopping here again. I don't know the associate's name because her badge was obscured by her sweater.
The employee who assisted you could have shown a little more professionalism, but I'm unsure what else could have been done. What type of resolution are you looking for? Did you tell the manager you met with about the employee?

I just want to inform you of a manager speaking to a sales associate unprofessionally in front of shoppers. I was shopping when a possible manager/supervisor name badge said Tracy approached the sales associate with a unruly tone and it was embarrassing for myself I can only imagine for the poor lady that was working. It happened around 12 on 12/9/17 near the jewelry section. I enjoy shopping here and the sales associates are always so helpful even at this busy holiday season but this manager needs a refreshing on how to treat others. This was very rude, unprofessional and unacceptable from someone who is suppose to set examples for the associates. I really hope this can be brought up at a meeting or she should be spoken to regarding her treatment of others.

I received my Shipment finally on 11/17/17 after calling every single day for 3 months and I was missing half off my stuff. Again I was calling every single day to ask the status of my order. None of customer service or supervisor has any accurate answer and their customer service skills are so poor. They been telling me to call back in next 24 hours and when I call back, they have no answer. I am wasting my hours every day to call Jcpenny. I am sleeping on the floor from last 3 months. On top of one of customer representative yelled at me which I made the complaint immediately after he hang up the phone on me. I am suffering so badly both physically and mentally. On Dec 8, I called the toll free number twice, and while the call back system was efffective in reaching me back ( I talked to someone on the second attempt), the customer service representative's attitude left a lot to be desired.
She was rude, unhelpful, humming on the phone while disregarding my questions ( I have no problem with people humming per se, but this was insolence), and finally, just hung up. Yes. Hung up.
I called regarding order number [protected] for a price adjustment.
I asked how much could I be expecting for the adjustment. She replied then simply hung up when I still had questions.
There was really no other way aside from this board to complain regarding this grossly inefficient customer service, as calling the 800 number again will just mean more waiting time and I will probably get an unhelpful representative again. There is no email at which I can reach JC Penney either.
Please investigate this matter and re-train your customer service reps. Thank you.

I recently ordered 2 pairs of boots. The tan pair a couple weeks ago, and the black pair during your "buy 1 get 2 free" sale.
I opened both packages today and on the outside of the box it states the price is $26.00. I surely didn't pay that amount, and it's obviously a mistake on the part of your supplier, however now I know how much you marked them up, and frankly that is very angering.
I would like someone to contact me to let me know how this situation will be made right.

JCOENNYS On 12/5/2017 I got some early Christmas gift three pairs of pants two shirts a dress and a bathing suit cover from some family out of state of mine well they forgot to get a gift receipt so I decided to look up jcpennys return policy without a receipt it says the lowest price within the past 45 days I say ok cause I just want to exchange it to get stuff that's my style I go to the store the start the return and she try's to tell me I will only get 71 cents back on a girlfriend card for a pair of vans that never go on sale I ask her where she got that number she said the computer generates the price not her I said show me where it states that in the return policy at all and that the return policy says the lowest price in the past 45 days I said please show me where in the past six months these shows went on sale for 71 cent she goes I don't no I can't change it it's what the Computer generates she tried that with all my i teams came back under a dollar someone please tell me where the return policy states a Computer generates whatever price they want or show me proof where in the last six months theses shows went on sale for 71cents this is bs and a scam and I think it's sad they pull that [censor] on there customers none of my family will ever shop at jcpennys again
product in home flyer that is disgusting
Going through the most recent flyer we got in the mail a day or so ago I came across, on page 8 a "deer bottle opener". This is totally inappropriate, and disgusting to have in a family store flyer. I seriously am considering not purchasing ever again from your store. JCP has always been my number one go to place for most of my Life.

To whom it may concern.I have worked at JC Penneys for 3 and half yrs.and yet there has never been no mention what so ever on Native American History Month for November.We celebrate Latino, Asian, Black History Month, And LGTB on our homepages, we get cardboards cut outs to put in our breakroom for these.I am proud to work for company that believes in diversity.But to be diverse, a company must include all cultures.Yet there has never been a word on Native American History Month.This is my 4th november and I have stayed silent waiting because i dont like doing this.But i feel our cultures should be celebrated, respected and recognized just much as everyone else.Thank you, For your time in reading this.

Placed an order recieved message an error has occurred try again later. So I opened a chat with a representative. She said she could see items in my basket and order did not go through. Told her I could not see items in basket. She tried to help find the problem. Never once did I get a message stating order has been placed. Still showing that I needed to place order. I was in the parking lot at JcPenny when I made the order because they did not have item in store. After losing the person I was chatting with I called jc penny . Com. Then I went into the store to try and see what was happening. I was informed that two orders were placed. I said I did not order the exact same merchandise twice, I'm not authorizing for JC penny to send me two orders of the same merchandise JC penny needs to cancel one of the orders. I was told by the clerk at pick up counter that they could not help me with an online order. At this time I'm still on hold with jc penny trying to correct the problem. Finally after an hour I get to speak with a representative that informs me the order can not be canceled, that I would need to wait until the items are shipped to me and then bring them back to the store for a refund. Really I'm telling you not to send one of the orders and cancel it. After many hours of being put on hold and conversations about the situation I decided to reach out to the corporate office. I was immediately able to speak to someone (Joshua) that assured be he understood and someone from JC Penny would be contacting me for a refund. About six hours after our conversation I get a call from JCPenney. Told them the story and again was told sorry they can't cancel an order that has not even been shipped out yet. I'm tired of explaining the sititatiin and don't understand how something so simple can not be fixed before shipping out an error/technical problem order, it's not my fault that you JC penny was having issues with there website. I was also told by jc penny employees that this has happened before. I totally get that things happen but when you don't try to prevent and have a plan in the works for when this does occur, that is serious problem. Because of this I will no longer shop at jcpenny and I will let my family and friends to very weary about purchasing from your company. Shame on JcPenny.

I ordered a christmas tree and after 11 days of the order saying label created waiting for pickup by UPS I finally call customer service to ask what was going on and was told they would need to cancel and reorder the item but would not honor my original price because I wanted to use my original form of payment with paypal and not give my account information to the person on the phone. I asked to speak with a manager and was placed on hold and no one ever came back on the line. I am on hold again and very upset that they can't just call and have UPS have the original order picked up as it says the label is created and waiting on pickup.

The super nice cashier Assoc. #0246, explained that as a reward member I may have coupons via email so I proceeded to go to my email via cellphone. The wi-fi was not working at check out. The cashier stated I could bring my purchase back to apply the coupon if I find one the next day. When I got home I found a coupon that JCPenney's mailed me for $10 off my purchase.

I took my purchase to Store# 1951, in Forestville Maryland because it was closer to my home. I planned on shopping more as I didn't get everything I needed on 12/2/17. When I got in line the cashier, Kim (she stated), associate #0391, nastily stated I can't apply my coupon on previous purchases items. I stated what I was told from the other JCPenney's in Woodmore just yesterday I could. She said it wasn't her fault. I explained that the wi-fi wasn't working and technically it was JCPenney's wi-fi fault. She did not apply my coupon. I was told before that if I returned all my items to try to apply the coupon, that that wouldn't work because they would have to return the items to the floor first and I'd have to find them. NOT RIGHT AT ALL. I returned one shirt just to collect data on this associate; I returned a small purchase of $15.89). Because of this, I had to go back to Woodmore and a very nice cashier named Mary #0455, didn't even hesitate to return my items and apply my coupon. It took a minimum of 3 minutes (check the receipts). She thanked me as well! It appears that JCPenney's in Forestville discriminates (institutionalized racism) and your cashier appears to have internalized racism tendencies. ALL JCPenney's should abide by the same policy. There isn't anything specifically posted about current coupon shouldn't and couldn't be applied. I have never had this problem at any other JCPenney stores and they've happily perform this transaction when the coupon is currently active AND I had all my items that I purchased with me. Why is the JCPenney Forestville customers treated differently? I live in this area and this is the 3rd time that I've been told this transaction could not happen! I'm very upset that I have to travel farther away from my home to get quality customer service and to have a coupon applied when it would've been applied at JCPenney's Forestville. I request something in writing or some action to STOP this type of treatment to the customers. It is unethical. I called to speak to the store manager about this and was on hold for 56 minutes and then disconnected. I called back and was on hold for 5 minutes then disconnected. I never spoke to the manager. This is unacceptable and as a former assistant store manager and cashier with Sears, Macy's, Limited, Express, Hudsons, and Capezio this needs to be addressed. I will not let this rest. The cashiers at the store are not approachable, friendly and this should not be the FACE of JCPenney's. Kudos to Mary at Woodmore #0194, it took her approximately 3 minutes to do this transaction and it was clear to me that Store#1951 has some serious issues (as noted above).

Need to wait for tracking number, called UPS they told me JCP are the ones that should call them to cancel and return order. Called JCP again they said they would call ups, never received response, got another email from JCP showing order was shipped and received on 12/4/17! Called JCP 2 more times, today 12/6/17. Called with complaint and I want my account credited! Very upset.

washer and dryer set.
I purchased what I thought was a MATCHING washer and dryer set on Black Friday. I was comparing two different styles of Samsung and picked one. My purchase order came in as a different washer and different dryer which I didn't notice until they showed up since I was looking under "sets." I ended up with a non matching set. Upon delivery, the delivery guys noted a huge dent in the washer. I wanted to return the washer for the dent and get the MATCHING washer for my new dryer. Instead they're making me return both and I had to wait on hold for a total of almost 3 hours in two days. Now I have to make sure I'm home for a pick up return. I never want to shop at J.C. Penney again.

I ordered a pair of earrings 11/27/2017. On the JC Penney website it says they shipped 11/28/2017. Then I received an email saying they didn't ship until 12/1/2017. I never received a tracking number. The email said they would arrive 12/5-12/7/2017. When I called customer service to ask when I would receive them, the representative said they can't track it any way either because it's a factory shipped item and she didn't have any idea when they would arrive. So I am very frustrated and don't even know whether they shipped or not. I live in an apartment complex and am afraid someone will steal them and without a tracking number have no way to know what's going on with them. I will stick to ordering from Kohl's in the future. This was my first and last time ordering from JC Penney.

I ordered some boots online for store pick up. This was on 11/14, and I was supposed to receive them by 11/20-11/24. The status says they were shipped since 11/16, and I still haven't received them!
Customer service is horrible! Every time I call the customer service number, the wait time is over an hour! The online chat always says it's busy, come back later! This is the last time I order from JCPenney!

I submitted an online order for store pick up. The website indicates that 3 were available. Placed my order used my 10 off 10 purchase coupon and paid with PayPal. An hour later I get an email that says order cancelled no comments on email or text of why. I call customer service waited over 20 mins to reach someone who advised item out of stock. Ok fine. I asked the customer service rep if my coupon would be voided so I can use again and they advised yes. Wrong! The system will not allow me to use the coupon as it says already used. Major inconvience, and disappointment.

Ordered 2 ladies scarves and a slow cooker on Cyber Monday. Dec.2 I went to Stockton California Jcpenney to pick up my order and was told only one scarf was available. Dec.4 I called and was told it was shipped but package will not be in until Dec.8.
Wanted to know if I can cancel. 1800 number told me to go to the store and cancel. Local store said no they cannot cancel until after item is in. Asked when it will arrive. Was told my 2 other times will arrive DECEMBER 18? What happened to Dec.8?
I was planning to use one of the items as exchange gift at work tomorrow, Dec.6.
Why is it that the staff are telling me different things. One said Dec.8, another said Dec.18.
Nov.27 ordered and arriving Dec.18? Is the item coming from some foreign land? I was requesting to cancel now so I can buy a new item forv our Christmas party tomorrow but they won't let me. This experience was such a pain from contacting the 1800 number which takes a lot of wait to reply and calling the local store.
It is not the customer's fault that you are swamped with orders. You advertised prompt service you should provide enough efficient personnel, provide adequate tools so that you satisfy the demands. You cannot just sell and sell and delay all deliveries just because you think holidays is good enough reason that the orders are delivered late.
I have always ordered online from McKinney but it seems now you don't value my loyalty at all the way I was treated by your staff who made me call here and there and provided with different delivery dates.

I bought an 18 piece Pyrex bowl set and it came with a $10 rebate. I asked about the form at the time of purchase and I was told I had to go on-line. I didn't see any rebate form, so I called [protected]. The person instructed me to the correct location but it wasn't an on-line application, but a printable form. The person said I would just have to go to the library. The library is far from home. I tried to call the store to see if they could mail me the form and I spent about 2 hours to reach someone with no luck. I tried the house wear department, but it just rang and rang, I waited to see if the system would let me speak to an operator. The call did revert to an operator, but then I got an automatic system that said the operator isn't available...goodbye. Is this how you treat your customers? No wonder so many people are turning to Amazon!

Has the price of the ring changed? If it hasn't, you could purchase the ring again with your refund. If it has, that is most likely why they couldn't replace it when you returned the damaged ring. Aside from that, the majority of retailers would not reimburse you for the warranty regardless of how long it has been. Technically you received what you paid for in regards to the warranty, otherwise they might not have refunded you at all.
