Public Bathroom
My son needs to use a bathroom and there is no public bathroom in Terminal 4. Also the two guardians I asked for a bathroom they said that we couldn't get in because we didn't have a ticket. I understand that but then I asked for someone to talk so I wanted to make a complaint. And his answer was that I should call the police.. and laugh. Is that the type of employees this airport has? And they were not giving another option. Just to call the police. I was really and still in shock. My son is a patient with cancer and he has special needs.
Anyway, now I understand why the parking lot smells so bad. Everyone who needs a bathroom is doing everything in the parking lot. So disgusting.
Desired outcome: One of the guards disrespectful
Mask requirements not enforced and no personnel available
An entire family was not wearing their masks, were chewing gum, and coughing at the airport. When saying something about it, I was told "What's wrong with you" and called a "[censored]". Upon asking to the personnel where to go to report this family, I was sent to various places, ending up at a desk that was unmanned. Nobody could apparently help me "I'm sorry". This is unacceptable, that people can get away with this behavior and continue it. It is also unacceptable that there is no department to report this to so that this can get enforced right away when it was 'accidentally missed' (TSA certainly didn't say anything about it).
Desired outcome: That it is made clear where this can get reported (instead of sending me from person to person to unmanned desk) and that these people get removed from the airport right away (they are still here)
Ear buds stole at checking points
I m trilingual from Qatar air ways I was the last person to board at the security young man told me empty you pocket I had my ear buds which I purchased $170. He saw me putting in my bag because I was in rush I didn't get a chance to check it now I found out they are not there. It's a very shameful action he took I want you to take action
And investigate it my flight number was Q r 702 at 8:55 pm on Sunday.
Desired outcome: I don’t have photo
Stolen and breaken items from checked baggage
Item stolen from checked bag- Apple earbuds. Brand new, still in box.
Broken items- Antique flint fire starter, Art photograph frame and glass. My bag was rummage through for things to steal. This is the second time it's happened at JFK.

Distance to get on plane
Walked 3342 steps in airport to get to the plane. That's approaching 2 miles! Absurd. What are the planners thinking?
You have created an airport that forgot about people. Shameful.
Further, you have created a complaint system that demands 350 characters. Are you serious? Wasting even more time and more bureaucratic.
I will now try to give you 350 characters. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name...in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. Amen
Thank you
Desired outcome: Have express escalators continually connect to the outer gates of a terminal
Import cargo live animals
Jfk all cargo facilities are very slow and poorly managed when it comes to live animals I've been shipping and receiving live animals for 15yrs and jfk cargo all of them are slow when I know protocol for human remains and live animals is suppose to be 45mins from arrival at any airport with Jfk I'm here for more then 2hrs trying to get animals out of cargo they need to get there act together somehow I would like this to be addressed and corrected
Tsa screening
My wife is pregnant as was not comfortable going through the regular screening process and asked for an opt out. The staff ( of about 8 including 4 women) began yelling and laughing "female opt out" over and over and we're very disrespectful. She eventually went though anyways because the staff said they didn't have any one to help her, were super busy (the airport is essentially empty)and she'd have to wait until someone turned up. This happened 3/13/21 at 9am at terminal 8.
Desired outcome: Your staff did absolutely nothing to help and only embaresed and insulted my wife
PCR Testing
JFK airport arbitrarily decides to inform flyers that the rapid testing won't be accepted but rather the PCR test. With time working against you or else miss your flight, one has no choice than to get tested at the airport. JFK is charging $399 for a PCR test. So paid $75 for a rapid test upon arriving, paid an additional $50 because the final destination country requires a test upon arrival, and then JFK charges $399. How do we justify this whopping prices during a pandemic?! Are airlines and airports forcing these prices on the people to recover their losses? This is wrong on so many levels. A third party must step in and get a hold of the NY/NJ agency that is exploiting the people trying to exercise caution, follow arbitrary rules, and get the economy running again.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement for an unnecessary pcr test for a high valued employee rushing to travel to provide humanitarian aid
Employee Behavior/Customer Service
Today, on December 14, 2020, during a security check up at JFK Airport, me and my mother witnessed one of the employees had dropped a tray that contained my laptop which was unsecured. When my mother had seen the incident, she quickly asked if the employee had dropped it by accident, but the employee quickly grabbed a bag and fled from the check-up; she just simply walked away without responding to my mother. The incident was very disturbing to me and my mother especially since there was no apology given by any of the employees for the terrible responsibility and behavior. Fortunately for us, the laptop is still in good condition and there were no damages of a major extent. I do not ask for anything in return, but I would only like to acknowledge the disturbing behavior of the employees in this airport, and just the negative attitude towards the customers from employees like these.
My ticket to Thessaloniki cost me 3000 $
i.ve got a ticket from ASSAP Company from New York to Thessaloniki, on Swiss Airlines, the flight was through Zurich with 2 hours connection delay.Flight LX2581, SWISS(RT76TF), ticket number [protected] I have a Georgian passport(Georgia is a Schengen Zone)and I am Permanent US Green Card holder, also I had3 recent Covid Negative Tets Results and Confirmation on PLF submission to travel.gov.gr. -letter from Greece Consulate welcoming me into Greece .On September 3 the airport employee, when accepting luggage, refused to issue me a ticket and let me on the plane, the reason was the absence of transfer visa and I had to cancel my ticket 5 hours before flight and was promised by Assap Company agent, who I spoke, that full money return is no problem.Because I was going to my only niece's wedding I had no choice but to buy last minute ticket to Athens, before I was tried very hard to get some online ticket from all companies that exist, but everybody were offering me tickets for the next day, and purpose of my journey was a wedding on the next day.So my ticket to Greece COST ME 3000 dollars.Uppon arrival home I start to investigate again which country citizens need a transfer visa and find out I did not need one. That Official Swiss side says - Keep in mind that you only need to apply for a Switzerland airport transit visa if your final destination is a non-Schengen country-, It is possible to stop over at one of the Swiss airports, as long as you do not leave the international transit zone of the airport and you can prove that you can continue your journey to your destination country.

Stealing from luggage
My son flew on American Airlines to London. He is attending college in the UK and brought a lot of things needed for his room. I spent $300 to check extra bags so he could have this stuff! When checking in we told the woman that there was a speaker in one of his bags when she asked about batteries. When my son arrived to his room, most of his stuff was missing, including his speaker! All of his toiletries, his school supplies, his blankets, pans, silverware, plates, XBOX headset, cords to his XBOX and MacBook, an HDMI cable, his UK adapters, a phone we purchased in the UK last year when we visited, and his small bottle of Tide laundry detergent! This must have taken a significant amount of time to do. Please check your caneras and find these individuals so other people don't have to go through this.

Hi,
I'm writing you because it's been months since this event happened but I can't process it. On the 12th September 2019, I was so going back to France with my sister. Arrives at the security area, one of your security guard has to palpate me because something made rung the security gate. And your agent has touched for too long I was wearing a medium mean dress. I have been palpate many times in my life, from shows to events, but your agent has touched me for almost 1 to 2 min. Even my sister was shocked. I was 22 and I almost cries but I just continued my way to my terminal to catch my plane. It is unacceptable and I'm still haunted by this.
I just wanted you to know this because I know that I'm not the only one. I'm a woman and I know physical abuse.
Regards.
Banning of England Flights:
Hi my name is Stephen and I just getting in touch with you to ask do you know how long it is going to be before flights are allowed back into JFK airport from England again?
The reason why I ask this, is because I had plans to visit New York in March 09th because I wanted to see what a great city New York is and my flight was cancelled, because of the corona virus.
I have pre planned my visit to new York for September 09th, I hope by then you would of eliminated the corona virus problem and then the restrictions of flights can be lifted.
Security
This evening I returned to New York(March 4th, JetBlue 882) after having a pleasant 5 day vacation in St. Lucia. I am a U.S citizen, I have global entry, I have no criminal background. I passed through customs(the agents were very professional and friendly). On my way to the exit I was randomly accosted by some sort of security person who asked me for my passport, where I had been and how long I had been there. I answered all of his questions and then he immediately took me aside, opened my luggage and then proceeded to pull out a knife. I don't think he cut or damaged my bag but I was so distraught and uncomfortable that I couldn't even look at him. When he was finished with his search, my belongings strung all over the table, he threw my passport back at me and said I could leave. This is completely unacceptable. To accost a woman traveling alone who has posed no threat or suspicion. Are we now living in some sort of Americanized Nazi Germany? Not only was this traumatic but it makes me fearful in my own country when I've done nothing wrong. How can you treat a law abiding American citizen this way? It's unconstitutional and a violation of basic rights. Shame on you. Shame. Shame. Shame

security/bag searches
Yesterday afternoon my fiancé and I were leaving New York to come home to Scotland and whilst going through security we had the most unpleasant, unprofessional and traumatic experience with a few members of their "bag searching" staff.
Their was a traveller in front of us getting her bag checked and my bag had also been pulled to the side so I stood at the side of the lady (not in anyone's way) to put my shoes on and wait on my bag to be checked. A woman worker came over and said "hey move" "go stand behind the god damn fan" I stood up and said "I'm just waiting here to get my bag searched after this lady" the bag searcher then piped up all full of rage and anger and said "HEY, do what she said stand behind the god damn fan and wait" so we moved to behind the fan which was roughly 7 foot tall infront of her desk, I'm 5 foot I couldn't see over it to talk to her so once she finished with the last customer I moved round a bit so I could see her better and she then started pulling at my bag and slamming it down and said " can you not follow instructions? Stand behind the fan!" I said I thought I could stand here as the last lady stood here and you were fine with that and I can't see over your fan or desk. She then said "ok so your smart you've got attitude! I'm not searching this bag! Your not going anywhere! She then started shouting on other staff members and calling me "the white traveller" I really didn't know what I had done wrong I was just curious to why my bag was flagged up and came closer to talk to the bag searcher. I had 3 Yankee candles in original packaging wrapped up in plastic and sealed and she started ripping the boxes open and throwing my things about. I called her unprofessional and asked if I could just leave as I didn't deserve this treatment but she then started taunting me by taking my bag over to her colleagues. It was a total disaster and an embarrassment to America. I've only been to the USA a few times and this is by far the most discriminating experience I've had. My fiancé also started filming and they tried to grab his phone and called security to get him to stop. We really were shook at this whole outrage, I broke down crying and she said you better calm her down or we will be getting the police involved! Another bag searcher came over and started putting my candles back in their ripped packaging and said GO! We just grabbed our things and fled upstairs. It was soo horrible I can't begin to describe the feeling I had in the pit of my stomach, I'm not the type of person to leave reviews or complain about things but this really can't go undocumented. The staff need ALOT of customer service training they have no people skills at all, very ignorant and no help at all. It will be a while before we plan another trip to JFK terminal 7 that's for sure!
duty free
Hello
We flew home from JFK on Tuesday morning into London Heathrow on BA flight 0178
We visited duty free and purchased a tag watch, on arrival back to the UK, we got the watch out of the box only to find it does not work.. we have visited our local TAG store in Bristol, only to be told the battery has gone, they advised a tag battery should last upto 3 years, I appreciate not all watches are new stock.. but surely this should of been checked once purchased, the lady who sold us the watch, told us she put the correct time on the watch, but obviously failed to tell us it was working!
This is extremely annoying and frustrating as we purchased the watch for a Xmas present, and now we have had to send the watch off and won't be back till January...
I feel really disappointed with the service at your airport., and would like to hear your faults on thus
Thank you

“clear” stuff from terminal 4
So my mother came to visit me from japan, I only see her once every two years, she is 60's, she used to work as flight attendants and speak English, two days ago When she is leave I drove her to jfk termina 4, I help her check in and send her to Gate, so I was at gate watching her pass immigration, I took her picture then this lady from "clear" yell at me "no picture!" I told her why not? Then she said "ughhh you can't take picture!" So I looked around but there is NO SIGN of no pictures at all area that i was at, 3 girls was keep talking about no picture things about me "why she can't understand I'm telling that no picture" I'm Japanese and I don't speak perfect English, but I can see there was no picture sign of anything, and they was from "Clear" not a manager not a people from immigration, just young 3girls standing and chatting, so Ignored, then when she passed immigration I took a last pic, one of girl starts raised her voice, I told her my mother is leaving me and I'm leave any second, but they keep talking and laughing so i took pictures of them, then some big girl wasn't with them but from "Clear" came front of my face aggressively and told me I have to delete pictures of them if I don't they're going to sue me, I ignored her and waving hand to my mother, then her co-worker one of that 3 worker came between and stopping her from not put hands one me, " not worth it" " she stupid" then big girl says "I'm gonna do it" you know when you go out to ratchet club and you see end of night at outside trying to ACT fight and friends stopping girl? That was happening at 10am at airport,
big girl push her friend and came to me and snatched and trying to steal my phone from my left hand while I was on the phone with my brother,
I'm 5'2 this big girl is double size of me, I took my phone back from her right away and yell at her "why you touched me!" Then she push me away from gate, I keep telling her "don't touch me" "you're very unprofessional" my mother saw from all the way other side of gate, she started calling me worried about me seeing getting bully from one of worker at jfk, I started cry because my mother was worried and she is about to be on 20 hours flight, there was no security or police officer at that area I really thought this girl will hit me, some guy came and told me sorry that happened,
I'm 31 years old,
This young girls have no respect how to talk to people as professional way, they don't know how to talk, why they're hiring people like this? And they're NOT security, I understand you wear some uniform makes you feel different but you're not from custom or anything, you just work for product
"Clear" so I DONT NEED TO LISTEN TO THEM,
If you don't want someone to take a picture of you why you work at front? Service job required profession since you're face is front of customers you have chances customers will take a pictures of you for complaining or for safety since very aggressive and rude, if you Cant talk as respect and do a professional service job then go work somewhere that no need to deal with any clients or customers,
When she snatched my phone she broke my nail, she took my phone from MY HAND so hard they don't know how to talk and act, very disrespectful and very disappointed how they harassed me,
This was unexceptionable,
It ok
rude security officers at terminal 4
I've been traveling for 30 years, I know many international airports, and I have never seen security officers so, so, so rude than in jfk, terminal 4, nov. 18th, aprox. 05:30 am. To start, at the first security check point (where you have to step in pairs over footprints) there was a "lady" officer very very rude, with very little patience, yelling at everyone. This lady, and another male officer, where giving opposite instructions to us, the travelers, at the same time, we didn't know what to do! She was telling us to stop and not walk, and at the very same time, he was telling us not to stop and walk through.
I noticed that when people didn't understand what she was saying, the same female officer started yelling, slaping her own forehead, rolling her eyes and making people more nervous. After I walked through and almost getting to the second check point, the male officer chased me asking me to walk throug again. I agreed to, but then I was asked to do it a third time! Apparently they wanted me not to stop after, but I had in front of me an elderly man who was walking very slow. What was I supposed to do? Hit the old man, throw him away, or getting him out of my way so I could go faster? What a lack of touch and understanding by the officers.
At the second check point, when the officer first sees my friend's mexican passport, his face changed, he got really serious, rolling his eyes, same thing when he saw mine. Really?
At the third check point, as in every airport in the world, I removed all the metal items on my body to place them on the tray, when I heard behind me a very large, african american woman officer yelling at me: "put back your ring on! Who told you to take off your ring? Nobody told you"... Really? Nasty, frustrated, gross woman.
I know and understand that security has to be taken very seriously, but that does not mean not to treat travelers with respect, patience, tolerance and kindness, I don't even ask for a smile, just respect. Shame on you for having this kind of people working at security. It's jfk. It's new york. Thousands of people of different countries, languages, cultures etc, go through every day. What a despicable people you have working in there. If they don´t like their jobs, they may as well quit, instead of terrorizing tourist.
I really hope this complaint goes to the right place and helps improve the service of the security officers, I am pretty sure not everyone is like that, you must have very educated, fine people working there as well, unfortunately on this trip of ours, we didn't get to meet any of them, just the angry and frustrated ones.
Jfk terminal 4 security employees are awful . Rude, disrespectful … went tru my hand luggage like she was going tru trash! Cld barely zip back the hand luggage she messed up my clothes n personal effect so badly . Horrible just horrible
