long lines at branch
It seems that Chase is cutting back on personnel in their branches, every time I go to the Rockville Centre branch there are extremely long lines. The branch manager informed me that Chase is cutting back because due to research most people use atms. However, you can't get rolled change from an atm or bank checks. I'm a business customer who used to use the business line at the bank but that of course no longer exists. On my way out of the bank, one of the bankers tried to give me information about switching my credit card processor to Chase, can you imagine? They clearly don't care about my business nor my time, why would I subject myself to more abuse?
debit card
Just want to thank chase for ruining my day. They deactivated my debit card without even telling me. I tried buying a dress from the h&m balmain collection that released this morning and wasnt able to make the purchase bc my card got declined and now everything is sold out and selling for thousands of dollars on ebay. So thank you chase. They wouldnt even reactivate my card for some reason. They claim that they sent me a new card and thats why they deactivated my only card that i use everyday for everything. This makes no sense to me. Why would my card deactivate before i even used the new card? Which i dont even have...
atm stole money
On October 1st 2015 I went to Chase bank at 3300 e Jefferson Detroit, mi. I used the Chase ATM (MI0721). I deposited $2400 into the ATM and an error appeared on the screen. A receipt was printed out stating "The ATM has experienced a problem. To confirm that your deposit was completed properly contact a Chase Representative or call us at [protected]. I called and gave them the information on the receipt and was told I'd be credited the amount in 12 hours. I called the next day and I was told it should be credited by 5pm. No credit so I called the next morning and was told to wait 24 to 48 hours for the credit. Than Monday October 5th I called again and was told due to my account not being open that long it required further investigation to credit my account. I was told I should know something by Wednesday. By this time I had already returned to the bank only to see that the machine had been fixed and people were using it despite my problem still not being solved. I called Wednesday October 7th and was told the investigation found that there was no overage in the atm and that my claim was denied. I then told the rep that I have a receipt stating clearly that I made a deposit and that surveillance will show that I put cash into the ATM and that none of this makes any logical sense. I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and he replied none are available but he can transfer me to a specialist. After speaking with the specialist who was very rude and carried a condescending tone. He told me I was not protected under the Regulation E act. I requested a manager and he then placed me on hold and said none are available and repeated there's nothing they can do and do I have any more questions for him. I am very upset and feel unprotected as a consumer. I am a single mother I can't afford for my money just to be taking away from me.
my missing atm deposit
Hello to whom it may concern, My name is Teejuana Young-Dunn I am contacting you because on 8/22/15 9:48am I made a cash deposit of $430 in the drive thru ATM (terminal #FL0205) at 6399 West Commercial Blvd Tamarac, FL 33319 and in the middle of my transaction the ATM shutdown. I have attached pictures that I took of the shutdown for your review. I went...
Read full review of JPMorgan Chasechase quickpay services
I just wanted to let everyone know to stay away from the useless and pathetic service from Chase Quick Pay. I received money from a person that sent the money to me from their Chase account. I tried for hours to receive the money. I could not after fighting to sign up as directed by the link in the e-mail I received saying that the money was now there. It sends me to a website that I fill all of the info in correctly. I get an error message and have to start again entering all of the info. I did this at least 25 times and continued to get error messages. I then called and spoke to the losers. I can't receive the money immediately because I don't bank with one of the three or four banks that Chase does business with. I use Capital One, a great bank. Anyway, I now must wait for Chase to send two minimal deposits to my bank account. After that, I have to go back to Chase and send the money that I thought I could access immediately!
I use PayPal when I need to send money to another person. That is simple and easy. Chase will also not transfer the money to my PayPal account.
Absolutely the WORST service on the planet!
I could transfer my money from Capital One with no problems. Chase just is horrible! Stay away from Chase Quick (NOT) Pay
unauthorized magazine renewal subscriptions
I just found out I was billed and through my bank's automatic payment, had paid without my consent, magazine renewal subscriptions for 4 magazine titles from this fraudulent company. The billing was labelled TME*[protected] BETTR $19.50 and so on. I tried calling the company but only was put on hold by an automated answering machine. I felt so violated and enraged. But thank God my Chase bank fraud department came to the rescue. When I called them, they refunded my unauthorized payments and put a freeze on that company so they will not be able to charge and deduct from my account any longer. I LOVE CHASE!
not worth it
I had a car financed with Chase and I fell behind. I always stayed in contact with them to let them know what was going on and when I would make a payment.
My son's 1st day of school, the car was gone. I didnt get a letter before they took the car nor a phone call. Two weeks later I get a letter saying that they took the car...no sugar honey ice tea...and if i want it back i have to pay the FULL amount of the car...So, the 2k that I put down on the car, and the 280 I was paying every month for 13 months has just been thrown out the window. I worked really hard to get that car and within a blink of an eye it was taken from me. I guess Chase Auto Finance is only concerned about the money. They dont care if you have a hardship. They will call you constantly and be very rude. Lesson learned...now my credit is completely done...
inaccurate fees and refusal to refund!
I enrolled in university in 2010, and provided that information to Chase Bank so my account would be registered as a "College Account" and they would continue to wave fees. Five years later, with graduation still a few months away, I went in to close my account. (I went to school out of the country so I was rarely using the account anyways). I said my reason for closing was because I was still being charged monthly fees on a card I barely used. The manager told me I should never have been charged any fees at all...
Apparently when they registered my account as "College" they forgot to include a graduation date so I was charged the full fees for five years! I had proof I had been enrolled for all those years and asked the fees to be waved. I was told it was my fault, NOT Chase's, for not having recognized the fees earlier. I explained that my statements simply said "fee" and I assumed they were additional fees not waved by my college status. How was I suppose to know one fee from another?
I was told it was still my fault and Chase would only refund 3 months, not the full 58 months. They gave me $18 back out of the $360 they stole from me because of THEIR mistake. Unbelievable. No apology. I closed my account on the spot.
customer service
Unfortunately, my mortgage was sole to Chase Bank!
They have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with as a consumer. Calling the 800 number listed is a joke, when you dial "0" to reach a human (although not an option) you're told its not possible at this time. After multipule attempts to speak with someone, when they do answer you're told how incapable the bank is from a technology standpoint. I set up the account on autopay with a real bank on a payment schedule every 2 weeks. The first payment was a month prior to the due date with the second payment on the first. I received a letter shortly after the due date that the account was late...
Once finally reaching someone I was told they do not support this type of payment program. How in this day and age can an automated system not accept or recognize this payment program. I was then told to deposit the funds into my chase checking account which I had no idea I had.. to make the payments. When I inquired about the account the transfer/hold game began. After multipule transfers, I was told I have an account with $7k, but they cannot provide me any info over the phone and to enter a bank branch for security purposes! Mind you I just finished a security review for my mortgage! When entering the branch, they have not record or any idea what their customer service is talking about or referencing. So I call customer service again, repeat the same frustrating process for the same result. So on the phone I have an account in person I don't and they will not talk to ea h other to resolve the issue... Mind you, I still have to call every month to have the apply my payments to my account because their system will not recognize the payment schedule and I should do what is convienant for the bank!
How can you prevent a bank purchasing your mortgage to service, you can't! You're subject to the I capabilities of a bank like Chase with out options. I was told even if I refi, the possibility is likely I could end up with Chase again! You do not have choices!
discrimination
I stopped at my bank today, Chase Huntington Harbor Branch in Huntington Beach. I walked in and asked a representative in a cubicle for help, Curtis said he would help me. He then tells me that a banker would have to help me with my issue. I was in his cubicle about 30 minutes waiting for Talar. Initially, he told me Talar, my banker had a customer. I told...
Read full review of JPMorgan Chase and 39 commentson file with occ re: closing my account with no notice
Chase first closed my husbands jpmorgan securities accounts, then his checking and savings and sent him a notice they were closing my account which he is not owner of nor is he tied to it. It was my auto debit account my home equity loan was tied to so i would get a lower interest rate! No notice in writing was ever sent to me about closing my account. No suspicious activity on any of our accounts! Husband had been with Chase over 10 years. My home equity was initialized in 2006! Sorry people at chase!
closure of account
After four years Chase Bank suddenly closed my account freezing my money and not telling me why. Went into the branch talked with the Branch Manager and someone at Chase main office I they refuse to tell me why. The representative on the phone kept repeating the same line: Sorry however the law doesn’t require us to tell you so we won’t” The branch office tells me this is the standard line and is all they ever know and these closures are happening at an increased rate.
Just because there is not a law requiring them to state why they closed the account doesn’t alleviate Chase of their moral responsibilities to the customer. I was a customer who had been a good client with a good account for over four years. Chase themselves told me this as they waived four NSF fees for me (three weeks ago told me that they could do this since 1) I had not had a NSF in over a year and 2) I was such a good customer. Why would they have done this if I was such a bad customer?
If I go to a restaurant and they refuse service the restaurant would tell me why - i.e.; dress attire, etc. Why should not a business that is more important to the customer than a restaurant, not offer same curtesy to their customers?
Being disabled in a wheel chair is hard enough without being discriminated against because my only income is from SSA which is the reason I believe they closed my account. Further based on my history in the banking industry also I believed that my account did not meet the revenue requirements threshold and that was also a factor in closing my account. If I had $100, 000 in my account do you think they would have closed my account?
feeling screwed
When I was going through the paper work to get ready to buy our house I was dealing with Fairway Independent Mortgage. They in turn sold it off to Chase about 6 months after closing. At that time I received notification from Chase of an escrow shortage. They wanted all of the money up front by trying to turn my 767$ payment ito roughly 1300$. I told them that was almost 95% of one of my checks. They barely backed down from trying to get the money. They reduced it down to around 827$ for 6 months and then because of the new analysis hiked it to 923$. Oddly enough it's been sitting at 923$ ever since. Everytime I have called to talk to them I get transferred around. When I finally managed to get into the mortgage assistance department, I felt like I was talking to high school students. They person they assigned to my case had a listening problem. Told them I run my house much like a business, don't call before 8am or after 5pm. It happened regularly until I got very rude with them. They put me into a plan and only gave me 3 months at 10$ a month. Like that was going to help anything. I had just gotten out of a 50k annual job with the military and to make their 923$ payments plus bills, I'd need a job fairly close in pay. No, I didn't have a lit in savings before I got out. They have since put my house into foreclosure status all the while I'm working with them for a second assistance plan. My parents let me borrow some money to get caught back up. The case worker told me straight up that if I paid that money in it could severely effect the assistance plan rather than help me by getting caught up. Because all they would see is money being paid in and take that as I don't need the help. When I asked Chase about why there was an escrow shortage, where it was found and whose end of the paperwork, they transfer me around until someone hangs up. I'm about ready to get a lawyer, but I strongly doubt any good would come of it. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm going to attempt to get back on an assistance plan, make whatever payment and see if they still move forward with foreclosure.
they are robbing me and my kids bank with no compassion for customers
I recently had a miscarriage and could not leave my house, I was bleeding pretty heavy and was feeling rather depressed. Chase bank decided to take out over 10 overdraft fees on my account $34 each. They will not return any of my money back to me and my account remains in the negative. I am a single mother of 3 kids and I work full time I called customer service emailed them and everything. they have treated me like a piece of living crap. one of the service representatives even told me that they just don't want to and do not have to return any of my money back to me. I explained to them my situation told them that I was not able to deposit money into my account and that I need them to return to me my direct deposited paycheck to me because I had no money to feed my kids I asked for some compassion and I received none...what a greedy disgusting bank! how can you take out all my money and know that your customer is struggling so badly I told them please just return at least some of the fees I got nothing except a sick feeling I cannot believe there dirty greedy mouths disrespected me so badly they should not be able to rob like this.
Failure to help lower your mortgage rate of 7.9 percent for 10 years
We have had our mortgage with chase for 10 years at 7.9 % . 8 years ago my husband had a horrible accident . We tried to get chase to modify our mortgage because we fell behind they would not work with us and told me it was more profitable for them to take my home but we were never going to let that happen so we did what we had to do to save our home. Now just recently Feb 19th 2015 . We decided to try again to lower our percent on our mortgage but they say we don't qualify because of our credit score and we don't make enough money. My point is for 10 years we have paid $1016.00 a month so why if they lower our percent and our payment would be $690 how do they see we couldn't make that payment. Its $400 less then we pay now. With all the government and Obama plans to help middle class family's why will chase not help. They already have had our mortgage for 10 years. We already showed we will not let them win taking our home away from us. We pay our mortgage on time
misappropriation of funds
Is anyone interested in filing a class action suit against Chase Mortgage? Here is what happened to us. In 2009, Chase Mortgage misapplied one of our payments. Every two weeks Avalon Corporation debits our account for our mortgage payment. Since the beginning of our loan, our account has been debited every two weeks. Avalon also has proof were they have sent our payment electronically to Chase on time. In April 2009, we received a statement that showed a $33.00 late fee. I immediately called Avalon first because they are the ones that send our money to Chase. They faxed me their records and it indicates it was sent and received by Chase. So, then the battle begun with Chase. Talking to Chase was like jumping through hoops. I talked with one person, then another, and so on. Nothing ever got fixed. They said we were short one payment; however, we have proof from Avalon that they received it. Chase also said that they didn't know what that amount was for so they put it in a suspense account, which is false because Avalon's transmission sheets indicate what each amount is. It will state payment and if it is extra to be applied to principal, it states that as well. Chase exhausted the money they put in a suspense account in late fees. They never called or sent out a letter even asking about the amount. Due to their negligence, we have had an accountant look over our records. Based upon their misapplied funds, our current balance is off around 20, 000. Our balance is 63, 000 but should be 42, 000 due to the bi-weekly payment plan. Our attorney had a pre-trial hearing this past week. Of course, Chase is denying claim and questioning the accountants records. If anyone has had anything similar happen to them and would like to be part of a suit, please let us know.

Regarding: very serious complaint involving my (2) two existing fraudulent mortgages with jpmorgan chase bank, n.a.
Regarding: i need help with my bank into either getting me loan modified and/or receiving a principal reduction on both properties
Regarding: loan numbers: # [protected] and # [protected]
Dear complaintsboard.com executive:
Good morning or good afternoon to you!
How is your day today?
My day is going fine, thank you, except due to the fact that i have had a very long, frustrating and disgusting battle with jpmorgan chase bank, n.a. and i did write to you before about my complaint about (1) one to (2) two years ago, however, at that time, i was not able to get the type of assistance desired and so i was encouraged to correspond back to you again at a later time regarding my very serious complaint and in providing you with any updated information and/or events in order for you to help me with my (2) fraudulent and illegitimate mortgages that i still hold.
I was honestly hoping that i could work out my (2) two fraudulent mortgage situations with the bank, but apparently it is not working out and so my only resource at this time is to sit and write you out my letter requesting your help, advice and legal interaction with the bank in order to get them to do something about these
(2) two fraudulent mortgages for me such as offering me a real loan modification and/or principal reduction because at the present time, they have done absolutely nothing for me, except to see me continue to suffer and that is all!
Please note: if i had already received the help, then i would not be bothering you anymore! obviously!
Here is my background on my (2) two fraudulent mortgage cases in order to give you a better understanding of what i have gone through so far: about nine (9) years ago, i got involved in getting approved for (2) two loans for (2) townhouses (without even verifying my income or job or anything!) and on both loans, i put down $100, 00.00 towards each property which came out of my lifetime savings in order to give me a better monthly mortgage.
Anyway, when i got the (2) mortgages, i had no idea of what i was getting myself involved in and thought that i had a very good deal, however, several years later, i found out that none of the money that i had put down (if i am correct), plus all of the monthly mortgage payments (throughout those years) ever went towards the principal balances for each property, plus something called "negative amortization" had also been added on to both mortgages throughout all of those years as well (without telling me, nor informing me) and today, i am now stuck with (2) two underwater loans that are still 100% unaffordable and i am only now able to barely pay the minimum payments due each month and sadly, i must rely 100% on my monthly rental income in order to pay for both of those monthly mortgages since i am on a limited income with disability and therefore unable to work!
Please note: the bank has definitely taken advantage of a disabled person and up to this date, has refused to do anything about it!
Recap: the (2) two rental incomes that i generate barely pays for the monthly mortgages and none of this money ever brings down the principal balances, plus the negative amortization still continues to this date!
About (3) three years after starting with those (2) two mortgages: i did try to refinance both of my mortgages and even moved over some of the money that i had tied into my culver city condominium property where i still live today (in order to make the monthly mortgage payments cheaper), but instead of the mortgages going down, they went up!
After all of this occurred, i did try to get loan modifications on both of my properties with jpmorgan chase bank, n.a. and they of course, turned me down and denied me and gave me many lies and excuses of why they could not modify me, such as that they never received my paperwork!
When they did this to me so many times, i then sued them in small claims court for lying to me and they settled out of court by giving me a check for the small amount that i had asked for which was just a few thousand dollars, however, this did not solve my continuous problem!
Later on down the road: i found out through the mail that jpmorgan chase bank, n.a. was hosting an open house and had invited me personally to come to one of their buildings that they were holding it at in order to meet with their loan modification specialists and file through them in the hope of getting loan modified. i did take advantage of this opportunity by going through the horrible and lengthy paperwork process with them to just eventually get turned down and denied again, for invalid reasons, of course!
The hell and nightmare continues: i was so angry and frustrated in how they had mistreated, lied and abused me as their mortgage customer that i decided to contact ms. laura francis from hopper realty at: [protected] or [protected]@hotmail.com who was the real estate agent at that time who sold me the properties for further advice. her recommendation was to hire the law offices of todd becker located at: 3750 east anaheim street suite #100, long beach, california [protected]-4589 & [protected] or [protected]@toddbeckerlaw.com & [protected]@toddbeckerlaw.com and go through them in order to get the loans modified and claimed that they were supposedly
Very successful at doing so and had a very good reputation in the business and so i took her advice.
When i met with christopher collins who was one of their legal assistants working at the law firm at that time, he told me that i had to pay them $3, 000.00 upfront (in which a new law came out just a few months afterwards preventing attorneys from charging those fees upfront) in order to get loan modified and claimed that he could do it, however, they tried to get me modified at least three times in a row and for each time that they had tried, the bank would continued to turn me down and reject me by changing their reasons every single time and after working with this very unsuccessful law firm for about one year plus out of my life, they finally told me that there was not much more that they could do for me and i even asked mr. todd becker who is the principal attorney of the law firm if he could take on my case and file a lawsuit against jpmorgan chase bank, n.a. and he refused stating that he believed that it was just simply, "not worth it"! maybe he was right, who really knows?
At that point in time, i felt extremely helpless and anxious to seek out help in which i still have not received as of yet, however, i did not give up the fight!
I then went ahead and consulted with another attorney about my (2) fraudulent mortgage cases whom i was referred to from another attorney. the new attorney that i met with specializes in consumer law with 25 years of experience and his name is mr. martin d. gross from the law offices of martin d. gross located at:
2001 wilshire boulevard suite #205, santa monica, california [protected].
While meeting with mr. martin d. gross in his office, we had discussed my case in quite some detail and he felt confident enough to take on my case for $15, 000.00 for the (2) two fraudulent mortgages in order to get jpmorgan chase bank, n.a. to do something constructive and positive about it and we had worked together for about (3) three years on the cases in which the court appearances started around monday, august 13, 2012 through the los angeles superior court located at: 111 north hill street, los angeles department #54 room #512, los angeles, california [protected] whereby he filed my lawsuit under case number: bc486365 and the judge that heard the case was
Judge ernest mitsuo hiroshige.
I truthfully believed and trusted my attorney because he is a very good listener, communicator and writer and through the legal process i had the opportunity to read his initial (20) page long, detailed complaint that he had written against jpmorgan chase bank, n.a. stating that they have committed fraud, including conducting bad business practices on both of my loans which are still not legitimate to this date. shortly after he filed it, he got a response from one of jpmorgan chase bank, n.a.'s attorneys who said something to my attorney about offering me some kind of proposed modification in writing if i went ahead and gone through the whole, lengthy, time consuming, annoying paperwork process again of supplying the same documents like before with the hope and prayer of getting modified and i also had to agree to dismiss the case "with prejudice" (which was nothing, but blackmail), however, it was all "not guaranteed", nor signed for in writing, whatsoever according to the notes that i have provided to you in the attachments. and since their proposed modifications were "not guaranteed" in writing, i told my attorney, "no way"!
Please note: another good reason of why i said "no" was also because since i had already tried to go through the same, damn, paperwork process and get modified (3) three times in a row through the law offices of todd becker and that already did not work out in my favor, then why would it work again this time around?
Furthermore, both my attorney and i decided to continue with the lawsuit and once jpmorgan chase bank, n.a.'s attorney received our complaint, they then in turn filed a demur (or response) with their side of the story trying to claim that jpmorgan chase bank, n.a. is not responsible for my loans (that they are in charge of) and for whatever happened to my (2) two fraudulent loans before jpmorgan chase bank, n.a. took them over, it was again not their responsibility since the (2) two fraudulent loans came from wamu in the first place.
Between my attorney and the defendant's attorney and the court, the demurs, case management sessions and amended complaints went back and forth for months and to be perfectly honest with you, the judge was taking the defendant's side the whole time in making my case extremely difficult for my attorney by trying to get him to keep on rewriting the answers, demurs, etc. and in getting him to amend the complaints all the way to the very end, that i ended up losing the case for invalid reasons and never received any type of help from the court, nor the bank!
On a more somewhat positive note: just after this whole negative disaster came to and end, the only good thing that happened later on back in the year of 2013 is that i had received a one time check in the amount of $2, 000.00 which came from the independent foreclosure review that was held across the country for qualified homeowners who apparently had suffered some hardship with their bank and i only qualified for this very small check which did no good for me, except admit that jpmorgan chase bank, n.a. obviously was and is still in the wrong!
Please note: the sad part about this check is that it did not get me any loan modifications and it did not get me any kind of principal reductions for both of my mortgages in which i still need very bad!

As a friendly reminder: these two attorneys above have made false and/or fake pretenses and/or proposals to modify me, but it was never promised, nor guaranteed to me in writing with a date and signature! in fact, i felt very uncomfortable with their malicious proposal because there is a stipulation and/or tactic that they were using to manipulate and/or blackmail me by stating that i must dismiss my court case with prejudice first and then they will consider and/or think about deciding of whether they want to modify me or not!
This is not a promise, nor guarantee, and then they wanted me to fill out all of the same damn paperwork again, just like before and go through the same abuse and torture that they had already put me through like when i went through the law offices of todd becker to do the exact same thing in which i got nothing, but turned down and rejected, three times in a row, unsuccessfully!
Enclosed, in the attachments, please find the following documents for your further review and reference.
Pages 1-3: conversations that my attorney had with the defendant's attorneys when they tried to blackmail me into dismissing the case with prejudice with the hope of getting unsuccessfully modified!
Page 4: proof of the $2, 000.00 refund from fund 1 independent foreclosure payment qsf paying agent - rust consulting, inc. - 2013.
Page 5: conversation that i had with my attorney about my court case back on friday, april 19, 2013!
Pages 6-8: court case summary number # bc486365 lawsuit filed showing the documents available for viewing.
My final thoughts: all that i want is help with and from my bank! not games! not lies! no fake proposals! not fake or false promises! just real, honest, legitimate help to get either loan modified and/or a generous principal reduction and so far, i have received no help! zero point zero! ...and that is why i am coming to you for help once again!

When watching the chase on ITV why is there double standards?, one for Celebrity's and one for ordinary people. The chaser's go easy on the Celebrity's, I understand its for charity but that is unfair. When I saw Shaun Wallace it was so obvious he let them win. You might just as well write an open cheque for the winning Celebrity's, Its a joke!
issues over contract & interests
We took out a HELOC from WAMU in 2004 for approximately $485k. Chase reversed over $200k of my heloc loan pymts when they acquired later, stating: "We have to back charge you because you have an interest loan, so all the "principle pymts" have made will be applied towards the interest. I've been fighting them for years.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
