JPMorgan Chase poor customer service!

On 2-29-08, I mailed my monthly payment to Chase Cardmember Service. According to bank records, Chase recieved the payment, and cashed the check on 3-2-08. The check cleared my bank on 3-5-08. The payment was mailed 2 weeks early due to the fact that I was going on vacation.

On 3-26-08, I received my monthly statement that indicated that I had made no payment the previous month. I looked at my check register, and then my monthly check statement, and verified the payment had been mailed and received.

I then contacted Chase "Customer Service." Now there's a contradiction in terms. I was told that I would have to fax all proof of the payment to them, and it would be reviewed by the same department that lost the payment in the first place. "IF" my payment was verified, it would be reflected on my account within 1 or 2 billing cycles.

I asked to speak with a supervisor, and spoke with "Greg." who told me that no payment had been received, and it was my problem to prove otherwise. I asked to speak with Greg's supervisor, and was told that was not possible, even though it was during normal business hours. When I pressed Greg further to speak with his supervisor, I was called a liar, and told no payment had been sent or received.

I now have to wait 1 or 2 billing cycles for Chase to decide that they did receive and cash my check, sent a double payment to "Cath up" my account, and do all of Chase's legwork... all FOR NOTHING.

Am experiencing a similar problem. Made a large purchase last year with a no finance charge promo.

Have paid EVERY statement rec'd ON TIME & up to double the minimum so that it's paid off before the date accrued finance charges are due to be added on.

Less than $100 left to pay & suddenly a late fee of $35 which, when followed up on gets me the reply that I flat out "missed" a payment, and as a result $58.68 in accrued finance charges have now been assessed! Waiting for a return call from a "supervisor". After reading these other stories, not hopeful there.

It feels to me as if they claim a statement is mailed to people (which never, in fact, was sent) so that they can assess all these additional charges. If they aren't willing to remove these fraudulent fees, I'llpay balance in full next week, close account & wish them good riddance as they sail into bankruptcy history. Guess there's a reason I've always preferred their competition. I just wish someone could clue me in to the contact info for any gov't agency regulating charges being fraudulently assessed, if any agency even exists. Pathetic to add $90+ in fees for not paying a "bill" that was never sent (by them) or rec'd (by me).

In 1/08, I applied on-line for a 0% APR Credit Card from Chase. I received a credit card and a check from Chase. The credit card said I was approved for $13, 000 and Chase included the check to use for a balance transfer. The afternoon of 2/14/08 I deposited the Chase check for the balance transfer into my Wells Fargo Account. On 2/16/08, I went on-line to...

JPMorgan Chase unprofessionalism!

I asked that Cathy Young call me back. She said that she would not that a supervisor would. She said it was noted 2 minutes ago that Sally took the message for a supervisor to call me. She asked for my phone number. I asked her what number she had for me. She said she did not give out phone numbers. I asked if she needed to pull up my account. She said she had my account in front of her. So, just by calling back my number had pulled up my account - how cute!

Bottom line - I have to this point given Chase more credit than they obviously deserve. Pat told me I was making it difficult. Really Pat, who is making it difficult. I simply want to speak to a supervisor in the Collections Department. How difficult can that be? Apparently for Chase pretty damn difficult.

Sincerely, L Couch.

I received a call at my place of employment. I had fallen a couple weeks behind on my car payment due to financial difficulties, but was in the process of setting up my car payment after receiving funds to make my payment. I received a harassment call at my employment. The "customer service" representative told me I had 1 hour to return her phone call to set up my payment. She was completely rude, harassing and threatening to me. I thought she worked in "customer service"? I made good and returned her call within 1 hour and set up my payment. I told her she had no right to harass me at my employment, but she continued to be totally unprofessional and extremely rude and threatening. A lot of people suffer from financial hardships at some point in their life, but do not have to be harassed or threatened by collectors. I am a supervisor myself. I am a director of nurses at a nursing home and employ over 65 employees under myself. If I ever treated my residents or my staff the way I was treated, I would not HAVE A JOB. What gives them the right to treat people that way? She had no BED SIDE MANNER, that's for certain.

I had been making all payments on time with my Ford Explorer for about 2 years, but when I ran into some financial trouble, I called Chase to set up some sort of payment plan to pay them back the money I owed them and the guy on the phone yelled at me " You don't call me and dictate to me how you are going to pay your car payments!", and then stated "It isn't my fault that you can't afford your car." I then asked to speak to a supervisor, and the representative refused to put a supervispor on the phone! Can he even do that? So I hung up and then called back and the supervisor was even ruder than the first guy I spoke with. Well, we eventually worked out an agreement, only to get a call a week later stating that the person I spoke with wasn't auhtorized to make that agreement with me and if I did'nt have a ridiculus amount of money within 3 days they would reposes my car. So after going back on their word, and then me stating that I would come up with the money, I later in the day get a messege from another Chase rep repeting the same exact conversation that I just had with the previous representative. Apperently they don't communcate. Well I could go on but I think this pretty much explains the professionalismyou get with Chase.

I agree with Dallas in regards to the fact that customers do not always treat the representatives kindly. I also work in customer service and my employees take a lot of abuse because people are tired, stressed, and angry so they take it out on people that have nothing to do with the problem at hand. But that is where my agreement with you ends. MY experience with Chase employees have totally left me speechless. I don't care how a customer treats you, you are paid by the company to provide good service. If the customer is being abusive, by all means end the conversation. But this never gives you the right as an employee to be rude, disrespectful, or mean. Especially if your customer is trying their best to do what they need to do, and you know that the company is behind, not following through, or letting things fall through the cracks. The employees may want to follow your advice to the customers about not being A-holes cause it only makes the situation worse. That advice goes both ways. Just remember what comes around goes around. The economy will not be like this forever and sooner or later the customers will not be held hostage any longer. It's then that Chase will feel the pain that the rest of us are feeling right now. Our memories are long and we will remember how we were treated when we needed help and it is then that you will see a mass exodus of customers leaving Chase! Will all those rude employees still have a job then?

In dealing with any business relationship, it is always beneficial to speak with someone who possesses some kind of business experience. In the case of Chase's "customer service representatives", it is obvious that they have very little, if any business experience at all, and sophistication is a word that is absent from their vocabulary. Jaime Dimon should really take a look at this division and implement new policy in hiring and employee conduct so to guarantee Chase customers a positive experience. I am behind on my auto loan. This was due to the current state of the economy and the massive failure of a large Visa/Mastercard processor. The processor has stopped paying our residuals, therefore, I have been left scrambling to salvage any existing relationships. I have attempted to negotiate the terms of my loan in order to avoid repossession, but how is that possible when I'm left at the mercy of a representative who has no real experience in the business world? Mr. Dimon, its time to step up and regain control. Please help!

I have the unfortunate experience of having Chase as the finance on my car, 2 2007 Aveo. I was talked to so badly that I made the mistake of asking for a supervisor, and the supervisor, a Mr. Vance, spoke to me so badly that I registered a complaint that was posted for all to read on Complaints about Chase Auto Finance, a website dedicated to all of the complaints. Vance told me that with my attitude he wanted what I owed right that minute or he wanted the car back. I have told him, and all the others who call from 7AM to 10PM, that I will pay it on august 29th or 31st, possibly the 28th, but within August. I owe July and August only. It is the first time in 2 years that I have had trouble with my payment, and as of yesterday it all would be paid in 6 more days, and Vance demanded "his" car back. He was still, and litterally screaming into my phone when I just hung up! Everyone in this organization is so unprofessional. Is Chase Auto Finance some kind of government experimental program to see if workers who are only mean-spirited, rude, liars and theives can run a company? If it is, it is a failure. I am amazed at how I was spoken to, and screamed at. Just wanted to warn you about asking for a supervisor; it a Catch 22!

I've worked for Chase and granted there are a lot Sh**heads that work there but you also need to realize the type people that the reps (in Collections especially) have to deal with. More often than not the people who are getting Collection calls dug their own hole and have no intention of paying their bills like responsible "account holders". However, there are people like yourself that have "fallen on hard times" and need a little leeway, if that is the case being an A-Hole to the rep on the phone is not going to help your case any; in fact it will almost always make it worse. This is speaking from personal experience as both an Employee and a Customer of Chase. I worked in the Lease End Department (Auto Finance) at Chase and all the time We had people try to give us B.S. Stories about how the dealer didn't tell them that they had a lease on their vehicle, which is hard to imagine when someone is paying around $350 per month on a $45, 000 car on a 36-month term. If you know anything about Math or Finance you know that this is Mathematically Impossible with traditional financing (Purchase) or without putting $30, 000 down up front (then maybe). The people who collections put up with more B.S. than you could ever possibly imagine and still manage to make about $12 an hour.

You try it sometime before you villianize these people. I'm not trying to Defend unscrupulous people, but "you shouldn't throw stones if you live in a glass house".

Well busy is busy does, and I'm sure a large company like Chase can get very busy, you should have just left a message, or wrote a letter. That way someone would call you back...eventually...

I had a run in with Chase Auto Finance to the point I would rather walk than have to deal with them again. Times are difficult for most of us right now so we decided to refinance our home and consolidate our bills. During this process our payment to Chase was coming up and our mortgage guy told us not to worry about the up coming payment that we would have them paid off with two weeks. Well, it took two weeks longer than expected. The next thing we know we get these call s from a Chase employee talking crazy telling us they were coming to get the vehicle and so on. We finally got the check to pay them off in the amount they quoted us and they had added another $300 on to the balance. We asked them if they would work with us just so we could pay them off and they adamately refused. Then it went back to the harrassing phone calls. Needless to say, we sent them everything but the $300 and I WILL NEVER do business with anything that has CHASE attached to it.

Tricia, you have to think about it what kind of person takes a job where they can treat people the way they do. Someone with more than likely no education who can't do any better and/or someone that likes ego trips. They think when they talk crazy to you they are in control making you feel threatened and it makes them feel better about themselves. It must really SUCK to be them. They need to realize you reap what you sow it might come back on them one day.

JPMorgan Chase scam and fraud!

We want to dispute & complain about chase charged us balance transfer fee - - they did send us promotion for free balance transfer now they turn around to charge us fee! My name tung le, on 03/06/2008 - we did contact chase for asking a fee of balance transfer because we have promotion they send to us home>> that’s attack go with application >> the customer services of chase did told me they will waive a fee for me. That’s mean no fee at all, he’s promise to me. I did agree it and give him account I want to do balance transfer total: $8900.

Two days later I saw they charge me a fee. I did request to remove, now they said the person told me is not true! It’s will be fee.. But if I have promotion in my hand and said no fee of balance transfer they will waive for me... They give me their fax number and request me to fax.. I did fax to them, I follow every step they request me. On march... 03/19/2008 I recently check my account and find out some errors - & ldquo;fee” they don’t waive a fee for me... A fee still on my account! Again this time I call in request for remove and asking why they don’t remove a fee for me... They told me because the letter is valid... But they don’t explain why’s valid? What’s wrong with that letter?—the letter I have is original from them send to me, (I will include that letter to send out to you, you will see in that’s letter nothing wrong) I told the supervisor of customer services about their mistake... And request they have to responsible for that not me.. They cannot turn around and charge me a fee.. Because when I call in about balance transfer.. Their customer services did promise to customer will not charge a fee of customer. Now they cannot turn around said sorry that’s mistake! Because all their customer services mistake and make I lost money like above, that’s not fair for me, like your customer at all—now your customer have to lost $99.00 a fee. I think nobody accept with that faults! They have to understand about responsible all their mistake not their customer! Please! You have to tell customer a true! Not lie and turn around to charge your customer! Please investigate about your mistake! And refund a fee for us! Some body tell them: don’t turn around of your customer like that!

Do they understand everything they said it’s will do exactly they said. They cannot change their word come out they mouth.. They have to responsible the way they talk and do it. They work in chase bank - they understand about policy and rules, law, everything is in their hand—they cannot that’s mistake: sorry— what’s they think? What’s they done? For all that happen above.

If they tell a true - the customer will don’t loose money like above.. Their customer have a lot choice for find a bank to fix their financial. I did told customer services I want to looking a bank for waive a fee of balance transfer.. If they charge a fee - I cannot do it. After that customer services told me he will waive a fee for me.. Nothing worry! Now I have to think... Do I have to trust about a chase bank said and promise! Because they don’t keep a promise with their customer. Now I have to write a letter asking for help— I need write this letter and send out for complain the way customer services did not keep their promise with customer and include a letter I have in my hand is proof they have promotion for no fee in balance transfer. If you need more information, please feel free to contact us at [protected]... Please this is very important to us! Because we did contact to bank too many times but they just ignore I complain it, they said the letter is not true! Or the letter is something wrong... Not valid— please check that’s letter is show my name and my address on it, very clear! Nothing to fix it! It’s show a days expire of a letter too!

Chase mortgage company is out of control. We have a mortgage with them and pay escrow for our taxes and insurance. In December 2008 we learned that the taxes for two of our four parcels had not been paid so we contacted Chase and they told us it was there mistake and would be taken care of. On Jan. 8th we recieved a letter stating the taxes had been paid on Dec. 31st so we took there word for it. About a week later we got another notice from our tax collector for the taxes they said they paid. We called again and the person at Chase all but admitted they lied about paying our taxes that we paid escrow for. Now they want to raise our payment 70.00 to makeup the difference. This is a scam if I ever seen one. They are crooks at chase and when you try to solve a problem with they the more you talk to them the bigger the mess gets. Something should be done about a company that has websites just from people the ripoff.

Every state is different; banks have to follow guidelines/laws. Maybe if you paid your bills you wouldn't be in this mess. Pardon MY ignorance, but how about a second job, selling the other car, stop going out to dinner, etc. It is called being responsible when you sign a contract. How would you feel if your employer didn't pay you for a month b/c times were "tough?" Hmmmm...

Chase bank is the dumbest, bunch of idiots in banking period. The 800 hundred that calls you, is connected to a random operator and the response you get is " Uh... Hello?" Yes i said. " Is this Mr.?" Yes, you called me and have my number. " We just need to verify some information before we can proceed" They are rude and unprofessional.

To make matters worse, i was also a victim of identity theft. Somebody scammed me for 300$ and they kept sending me to collections. I'm in California and the person spent 300$ at a gas station in PA, Chase is so dumb they think that somebody can teleport from California to PA in less than 4 hours! Maybe if i owned a private jet. Seriously, Ya'll are the dumbest mother[censor]ers ever!

They've been calling me every day for the last 30 days..

Chase won't even hire American's to harass me, they out source it so some guy in south America or something...

So I stopped paying my mortgage payment... Why? Well my Chase business line of credit went from $100, 000 to ZERO in one day, with no warning from Chase, our business has suffered severely from this and the recession..

So these collections guys call me non-stop.. I just turned my cell phone ringer off.. I wish I gave them my google.com/voice number, then I could just easily block them out.. oh well.. They call me 10 times a day, so what I did was store Chase's number as a positive reminder, like "Do exercises!", my phone will blink with Chases number, and I'll go do some sit-ups. I told them I will only deal with them in writing and to stop calling, they kept calling so guess what? I'm not going to pay, even if our business does better, fvck them.. they wanted to keep calling. I even set my computer upstairs to fax them a whole night of letters to stop calling. I think it's harassment in southern California, I'll look into suing them..

Fvck it. I have no remorse for letting this house go back to chase, they can have it, in the meantime I'll let my credit go to [censored] and live here to for another 6-12 months for free. I never buy a new car, and I really don't mind renting, what the hell do I need this $700, 000 debt for.. The stupid house is only worth $500, 000 anyways. The whole underwater homeowner Obama thing didn't help me one bit, so screw it.

I pay $4, 000 / month, to chase, if I live there for 12 months free that's $48, 000! You want to cut off my line of credit? ok, fine.. I'll take $48k and never pay you for it, F U CHASE.

Anyway, they've been calling every day! Even after I've been clear to them telling them that they will receive the payment in a week that I don't have the full amount at the moment...they found ways to get into your emotional side...after I have explain them over and over again, I can't help to get upset and they begin to question my emotions! Unbeleivable! They call once asking why I hung up on the clerk the the prior. This is rediculous!

I can't wait to see them in bankrupcy also!

JPMorgan Chase cheats customer with wrong and bogus information

Chase Marriott Visa Credit Card provided 0% APR on balance transfer to me for 6 months. I borrowed $20,000 on 11/2007, and I paid minimum payment afterwards monthly. I paid on 1/23 for Jan's payment which was 4 days' late due to my travel.

1) My first call to customer service:

On 1/23, Right after I made the late minimum payment, I called the customer service to explain the late reason and asked to restore my 0% back. I was told that he would submit a request for me and there should not be any problem to restore my 0% APR back. However, he told me to call back after 1/28/08 to make sure it would still be 0% APR.

2) My 2nd phone call:

After 1/28 (forgot the actual date), I made call again, I was told there is no previous request to restore my 0% APR, but she submit the request now and there should be no problem to restore 0% APR.

3) On 2/12, chase cardmember service wrote me a letter, I did not read it till 3/2/08

In the letter, it says:

The promotional balance is still active. However, in accordance with the term associated with your account, you may lose the promotional APR as of the first day of the billing cycle in which a default occurs. If this is the case, your next billing statement will indicate that your promotional APR has changed to your standard APR.

---------------

On 02/2008 's statement, they do charge me over $260 finance charge and $39 late fee.

---------------

If I was told that I would lost my promotional APR earlier, I would pay my full balance in Jan, 2008 to avoid furture finance change, but I just know it for sure now. I just paid my balance in full since I was told the interest is 15.99% and accumulate daily.

Love Marriott/Hate Chase..I had problems with Chase before so I am closing my account...When I received my first bill they tacked on $31.oo in finances charges this was my first statement from them. It seems they charge $23.40 to balance transfer and finance charges tacked on to that no usual grace period but this was not disclosed online where I applied in the first place. I was not even informed that was accepted or if the balance transfer went through and there was no way to contact them to close the account or change the balance transfer.

I also had a bad experience when I had a no hassle airline points card from Chase. They kept changing the rules so I could not claim my reward flight miles. It was a nightmare and very much of a hassle. I will never use Chase again for any of my credit card or banking needs.

I totally agree that this is cheating the customer.
I have religiously paid my installment everymonth on time for 3 years. I closed my account to keep the interest rate from rising.
This month I forgot to pay and was late by 4 days.
I pleaded with them to retract the fee and reduce the amount of APR but they refused.
It went up from 14.99% to 28.99% just for one late payment in all this time.
I wish someone would create a class action suite against these people.
No other credit card does this to you.
I still think American Express is the best.

JPMorgan Chase miscalculated my loan over charging 1000's too much in interest

Dear mr. Nader;

This is why we need you more that ever. Maybe you can use any of this for your campaign, its so horrific. Not once, but twice, I found it hard to be an american.

1. Chase auto finance needs to be under federal investigation for the enclosed documents; I truly believe from internal chase employees actions there are millions of us over charged interest.

I had to hire an hourly attorney to fix chases mistake (Using my last bit of savings) and found this week, I will never get my money back. Ive never monetarily recovered and in debt from the first corporate hit on me of renter toxic mold mico toxin. www.Renter-rescue.com

Attorneys wont sue on contingent for - us - little people - for a small breach of contract on i. E. : 4k-5k-6k. The law appears to allow only actual monetary damages of the breach of contract. It appears the breach of contract law is written only for large corporate america because mental anguish, punitive damages and. Are not applicable (From what attorneys tell me, in cases like mine, there are a lot of me-ss). So stuck with my attorney costs, was stuck in a loan, and the seven year ___ they put me through. The chase vp letter calculations still dont add up. He did one heck of a tap dance in his letter. The big abbreviation for - us - little people - is; sol..

Therefore, if you look at it from a - street smart - standpoint of only the actual monetary damages of the breach are allowed for chases favorable littler miscalculations. Than its legal for chase to miss calculate interest loans to their advantage. Attorneys mention companies like chase know (In most cases) the customer is unable to afford an attorney. The customer finds it easier to pay chase the money they should not owe, and walk away. Therefore, chase from a - street smart - standpoint legally gets to keep our hard earned money even if they are in breach of contract. No wonder theyre worth trillions. No wonder im broke.

And, I believe if you look at it the - street smart - way of life; that makes it - legal - to over charge interest to millions of customers only during the years they need a stock price elevated. Or, considering a sell to bank one while needing a booster on sale price. Then covering up my reaffirmation contract. I made 70+ calls before I was forced to hire an attorney.

After my extensive investigation and desperate attempts to see why my loan was a mess. I truly believe a federal investigation into their loans will uncover extensive corruption. If it was not for the 18k maturity notice coming, I would have never thought a trillion dollar company could not do a simple interest loan.

2. As if that was not all I had to deal with and found hundreds of others from my web site; www.Renter-rescue.com

Billion dollar landlords are getting away with building and or renting toxic mold/mico toxin apartments. Attorney dont find it worth the cost of litigation to fight for one little renter.

Therefore, again, if you look at the law from a - street smart - point of view, it might as well be legal to rent toxic apartments. Of course, there are no true penalties against these landlords and again us - little people - crawl away, madder and madder at the government for not protecting us against these corporate crimes. We loose everything.

The government keeps wanting - us - little people - to put our money back into the economy. But, how can we? The big corp guys keep illegally stealing it from us and legally get away with it. We are not worth the cost of litigation on contingent and we dont have money to pay an attorney their required $300.00/hr fees. There are no true penalties to make these companies legally accountable to - us - little people-. Therefore, its legal for them to be illegal.

And, if - one of - us - little people - are not involved in; #1 and #2, of the above. Then they are most likely stuck working for a billion/trillion dollar corporate america that will not pay them enough against the climbing cost of living and / or will put them in a toxic work environment with dirty vents blowing on them all day. And, its all legal from a - street smart - little person - standpoint.

Im a headhunter/recruiter and loved it. You ever sat in a room with 100s of people in cubicles, no windows for true light, only breathing re-circulated and toxic air, not making enough money to have a nice dinner or take a vacation. I saw this all the time.

Dont even try to complain to your hr department. Ive been there at the executive level meetings. They are in a nice area of the company which has natural light, clean vents. Hr will document you in the computer system as a risk employee sooner than they with acknowledge the problem and help the employee by having the vent filter changed. So again from a - street smart - standpoint - little people - have no rights.

Then, we hear our government say they are cutting little checks for - us -. You are asking - us - (The corporate screwed - little people - to circulate more money back into the corrupt large billion/trillion dollar corp america. Your asking - us - to support the billion/trillion dollar corporate america that screws - us - little people - every minute for anything they can illegally get away with. Your asking - us - to support a billion/trillion corporate america whom has already made millions off - us - little people - by legally— illegally miscalculate our loans to their advantage. Or, selling us poor products sent to market - un-tested - properly because the billion/trillion dollar corp needs the money quicker. Or, not be accountable for offering true customer service should we find a problem with their services and products. Even more so; your asking - us-, the - little people - to support and help grow a billion/trillion dollar corporate america that is sending our jobs overseas while our government is also sending most our tax dollars there too.

I-ve had too many seasoned professionals cry on the phone to me because they are loosing their jobs to oversea-s employee-s. Corp america hires 2-3 of them for one seasoned professional position here.

You should hear the jokes we make on all this. After we had a good cry.

Most people crawl away. However, my grandpa, who was a naval aerospace commanding engineer always told me to fight. I was raised by a military dad as well. I was at the white house once and all over wa when little, every summer on the way to the ocean city, nj shore.

Its all below on what really happens to us little people.

Chase detail story with docs enclosed -

Re: jp morgan, chase auto finance, garden city, ny - a seven year mess continues.

Chase charged me over $23,000.00 on a simple interest - $48,235.00 loan for a bmw. I put $30,000.00 down on the car. Chase sent me a maturity notice for approximately $18,000.00 more in november 2007. My loan started 11/2000.

I reaffirmed in 2003 - simple interest at 9%, that-s when real trouble started of miscalculation of interest to their advantage. Looks like I paid approx $17,000.00 interest with $12,000.00 principal just after the reaffirmation. Additionally, looks like from the chase loan summary sheet they did not apply any principal at all to my loan for months on end. This prevented me from selling the car due to, too high a principal amount. Then threatened me extensively with collections and repossession, again and again, stating they would find me no matter where I went. After an attorney, I was forced to hire, I still cant get an accurate calculated loan summary. But the chase vp lowered the loan pay off about $14,000.000. Now stuck with attorney costs and still a miss calculated loan.

After sitting on hold over 70+ documented times; transferred around and disconnected -

All I ever heard - over and over and over - for several hours at a time is:

-chase the right relationship is everything... , - chase the right relationship is everything...

Due to sickness I tried to sell the car and upside down on the loan because of chase. S inaccurate principal/over interest calculations, always short about 5-6k (Which was huge to me). My payments at $858.98 were killing me. I was illegally forced to stay in that loan.

In [protected] for months off and on, they stated my payments were not due and then I received an 18k notice to. Pay or else with collection notices.. Without my knowledge chase changed their computer system. It appears in a desperate attempt to correct, inaccurately, toward the end of the loan. Now 160k miles and forced to pay high maintenance costs to keep it running, I still don. T get an accurate payoff to my loan with an accurate. Loan summary..

I made over 70 documented calls (Act data base notes) to chase since 2003. I have all my phone records for the duration of my loan. I was forced to hire an hourly attorney when I received the 18k notice 11/2007 to stay out of repossession again. Looks like they illegally repossessed the car twice.

The vice president - chase - andy sulfsted - [protected] finally acknowledged there was a problem with my loan only after an attorney was involved. He stated I had a 9% simple interest loan. . Mr. Sulfated stated I had a 39 mo loan when it's actually 46 month as I have the payoff coupons. Per the edmonds.com car calculator mr. Sulfated, shows - a tap dance - of calculations which still do not add up to the correct payment we calculated. Additionally, mr. Sulfsted stated: the reaffirmation terms were based on an outstanding balance of $34,517.23. However, chases principal and interest full loan calculation computerized summary shows my loan was calculated during the reaffirmation at $28,708.42 and mr. Sulfsted is wrong or lied to cover up.

Mr. Sulfated sent a letter of somewhat apology in january 2008, with lowering the loan amount to $4,294.00. However, their collections is still threatening repo for approximately $18,744.00 now. Mr. Sulfsted will not return my calls since my hourly attorney is not on the case. Therefore, it appears I am threatened with repossession and collections in which they will find my anywhere, for a loan amount I do not owe still. When chases so called vice president was to re-calculated and fix it !

The chase vp also stated he enclosed the reaffirmation contract with his letter to my attorney. And, he did not enclose it. He only enclosed the original contract I signed with sterling bmw. My attorney and myself have never been able to get chase to turn over my reaffirmation agreement. Now i'm stuck with attorney fees too.

My hired attorney stated in correspondence to chase that it was the most messed up loan hes ever seen. Chases collections were all over me. They had already previously filed (2) liens (For one instance) in oc courts when I was not to be in repossession in 2005. But as a little person who means nothing in america, I was stuck with the (2) illegal liens on my record in the court house. They showed 'open' and in repo for approx 3 years. They also filed the liens prior to their 30 day deadline for me to dispute per their own correspondence.

I tried to sell the car on many occasions to get from under the high payments / high maintenance costs of a bmw. Brakes; $1,800, tires $2,000. Approx $4,000-$6,000 per year maintenance with leaks etc. Car now has 160k miles. I had to barrow money from friends, at times; to make my blue cross monthly payment, food, doctor bills, etc, as I was sick for many years and still have doctor bills outstanding. I needed a car for dr appts and was upside down on the loan. The high cost of mo payments and maintenance were killing me. The value of the car was much, much lower than the principal amount. I was stuck with chase loan for years and could not even refinance with another company. The stress of having to borrow money from friends was horrendous.

Chase credited payments and un-credited them charging me late fees. Chases loan summary shows a great deal of payments were not credited to my account until about a year later. A collection person stated my checks bounced when I tried to explain the problems. I have every check written since the duration of my loan and none bounced. About 11 of my payments were not credited until a year later.

In 2001 I was paid one year in advance. Chase did not credit my payments until 2002. Threatening me with collections over and over, never fixing my loan completely. I had to call in and get them to do their jobs right all the time on my loan. Chase sends me (2) different types of loan summary notices. One showing payments applied correctly. The other loan summaries showing payments not credited for many months. Its as though chase keep two sets of books.

I made over 70 calls to chase since 2003. All documented using my cell phone with act database. Chase only transferred me around to many different departments; reaffirmation, bk, collections, customer service (Over and over with every call) , disconnected me and I would be forced to call back again and again, desperately begging for help on many occasions. This caused a tremendous amount of stress, anxiety and I have a heart problem, ibs, signs of lupus. I get fevers when I get upset now since all this started. Cell phone records will show hours on the phone at a time. My data base notes state how I cried.

Chase repossessed the car in 2004. If the payments had been correct with principal I would have had the extra money to pay. Again, I was trying to sell the car that year and stuck upside down on the loan too. I was charged extensive repo fee's. It loan was calculated properly, should have had extra money. I tried to explain to their collections, I woke up my car was gone. I have lived in fear since of my car disappearing.

Chase tried to repossess the car again in 2005. They had attorneys this time. The attorney letter stated I had 30 days to dispute. I disputed it. I should not have been behind or even been in repossession at all. However, they already filed (2) liens in oc courts, on my record and then admitted a mistake. The liens stayed open for years and I disputed prior to the 30 days. With the liens, I was denied an apartment. It looked at though my car was still in repossession 3 years later.

Thinking I made payments to this company above and beyond all these years. While trying to get out from under this loan, with 70 calls, makes me physically ill to this day and very, very angry, stress, upset, sleepless, anxious. And, its all legal for chase to do this to - us - little people -. Because we cant sue. Attorneys dont find it worth the cost of litigation.

September 2007, after a chase manager told me in july 2007, I had an 18k balloon coming in november 2007. I was put on rest disability, my fevers become more frequent. Now stuck with attorney fees to correct their mistake. I tried desperately to understand the mess with my loan. Chases representative, managers, and many employees would not help me.

End of december, again, I could not sell the car as the pay off amount is much greater than the loan amount. I was forced to put another 3500 to keep it running, the steering went out. Now my radiator is leaking and the suspension is out. I need to get out from under this mess and them mentally termoiling me with illegal collections and inaccurate accounting..

I want restitution from chase and desperately need a consumer activist attorney on contingent. I have all documentation since the origination of my loan. .

This company will not stop their illegal ways until someone stands up to them.

My hourly attorney wrote on my behalf:

Ms. ________:

I hope this works out for you. Chase really jerked you around and you did not deserve that. They do that because so few people actually see an attorney and hold their feet to the fire.

Good luck on this.

Attorney; bob ______

On the very worst side of this;

No wonder teenagers are so angry they shoot up schools. They see no future, after, most likely, over hearing their parents in all these messes while their on the phone crying to get help after loosing their hard earned money to illegal, un-litigationable, corp. America tactics. They are in pain seeing their parents in pain; whom may, or may not, be taking it out on their children physically or mentally.. Who knows for sure but the shootings are another example things need to change this year more than ever in the history of the united states.

After all I went through, I believe the change needs to start with a happy consumer & corp america - illegally - legally - running this countries little people into the ground for profit. Then more honest money will be circulated on a regular basis in america. Less stress. We are pulling back our money more than ever, and its all due to corporate americas illegal actions that from a - little persons - standpoint shows is legally done against us.

Best regards,

I would really like to hear from an attoney. I have all documentation since the origination of my loan - including many chase loan summary's.

Since I made over 70 calls to chase begging for help, disconnected, transferred. Not helped at all... While listening to - chase the right relationship is everything... Over and over hours on end...

I put my docs in pretty professional binders and sent (Ing) to news, radio and government agencies including the fbi.

However, the reaffirmation agreement that chase wont turn over and would never turn over, I still don't have.

Chase vp letter stated it was 9% simple interest loan.

I would be happy to mail attorneys my binder for help.

You may reach me through renter-rescue.com

Chase was so horrible that when I lost my job and they offered me one at a high rate of pay I told my wife I would not be able to sleep at night working for a company like that.

In addition to the many other poor encounters, including the 3 business acounts and two personal accounts we had. I asked for an extension on my auto payments, mind you I had never been late in two years and I asked because I lost my job and was seeking a new one. They denied me said unemployment is not temporary. My wife called back a few days later and asked for the extension on her behalf as the primary and having just started working as a professor at the University. Needless to say it took 5 minutes before the customer rep called her a lier! This was after she provided her work, phone, position etc. When they finished they said they call us back and let us know about the extension, my wife looked at me and said I rather die of hunger then have you work for Chase. Needless to say they didn't ever call us back and then when I called Chase Auto I requested the info they said they didn't have it, I gave them the info along with name and info for my new employment because I now have a job making 10k more then I did previously and their stuborn lazy CHase representatives denied me again and the lady was practically laughing that they would take my car. I have auto loans with a credit union and Ford, both of then granted my request no issue, Chase and Chase Auto are terrible avoid them like the swine flu.

I think everyone should have to take a class on simple interest before they sign a simple interst contract. Simple interst means your interest accrues daily. It is based on your interest rate, your DAILY balance and how many days there are between payments posting. So if your daily interest is 5.00 a day and you make a payment on Jan 1 and then your next payment is Feb 15, you will pay 46 days of interest For a total of 225.00 going to interest as opposed to 150.00 if the payment was made 30 days apart. Interst always gets paid first and is NEVER part of your balance unless it is a payoff balance. If you make your payments exactly 30 days apart for the life of your loan, you will pay exactly what your contract states. YOU HAVE TO READ THE PARAGRAPH ABOUT YOUR INTEREST. IT REALLY DOES EXPLAIN IT.

YOU STUPID IDIOT should read something before you make unreasonable comments. Must be a women who wrote the comment. Chase over charges me every month when my check arrives on time. We have plenty of money.

I don't know either to start at the 70 times you mentioned calling 70 times, or the fact that much of your complaint had little to nothing to do with your auto loan payments. I won’t even go into all the irrelevant and repetitive information your readers have to read through to get to the main point of your compliant (don’t let venting over take common reasoning). Overall it sounds to me like you’ve have had trouble making your payments, “My payments at $858.98 were killing me. I was illegally forced to stay in that loan”, I’m not to sure how you could have been forced into any contract loan agreement you signed yourself. Here’s a tip for thought, living by your means will avoid these situations. Sure it is the American dream to live a lavish life and have it all now, but once you have it you’re stuck with it. Don’t cry about it after the fact and play the victims because you got over your head. You talk about having street smarts when what you need is common sense, and the willingness to thoroughly read your contact agreement, because I’m sure it would have told you if it was a simple interest loan, and also the interest rates you’d be paying. On a last note, every American is entitled to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”, this doesn’t only apply to the “Little man” but the “Big man” too.

JPMorgan Chase forced escrow due to chaise's mistake!

In January of 2007, we had county water available to our small community. We decided to hook up with the county, as our well water was not to our satisfaction. We live in a very rural area in NC, and our water department decided to have us make our payments to the tax office. It is called a water assessment fee. Your basic hook up fee. The county gave us a year to pay interest free. We started making payments. I believe we had paid $200 -$300 of the &1200 or so that was due. In January of 2013 it was to be considered delinquent. All of my neighbors, myself included, received letters from their mortgage companies. CHASE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO TOOK IT UPON THEMSELVES TO PAY THIS water assessment fee. Chase misread this as a very past due tax,and paid it in July of 2007. They then forced us into escrow. My husband had a credit score of 917,which I am told is unheard of. I had a credit score of 750 which is just ok. It still shows we both pay what we owe.Our house payment has gone from $472.91 to $742 .I have been with Chase since 2000 and have only been late one time. Chase has gone on to pay other things that were not due,and have really punched the fees to me and my husband. We are not rich, and Chase refuses to back down from their position. They called my local tax office and asked them if the money was not owed the day the water lines were installed, of course it was and now I am out of my money. I have paid all my fees. I am even 2 months ahead on my payments. I am trying to refinance. The customer service tells me a different story every time I call. One person told me I had to speak to the escrow department and the escrow department was closed for the day. I was told to call at a later time. I called the next day to pay the ESCROW DEPARTMENT AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOT AN ESCROW DEPARTMENT. What do I need to do to get this over with? I have cried, prayed, begged and still to no avail. They still get to screw me over and look as though they have done no wrong.

I have the same issue. I am behind $770 on the second half of my property taxes. I had an agreement with the County Treasurer's office that I could pay the balance by 12/15/11. Chase somehow ended up with this information and mailed me a letter saying they paid my delinquent taxes and were going to open a forced escrow account because I had been delinquent. The escrow account would add an additional $295.74 a month to my existing mortgage payment, an extra $3, 548.88 per year. This was to cover the $770 that they paid the county treasurer as well as the total taxes for 2012, which have not even been billed yet, and for which the first half is due 11/11/11 and the second half is due 5/1/12. They figured the tax amount for 2012 to be $1852.10, the same amount as my 2011 taxes, even though my assessed home value for 2012 went down $40, 000. Keep in mind that the $770 they paid and the $1852.10 which would pay for the total taxes for 2012 (based on their over-inflated figures) totals only $2622.10. They are going to charge me $3, 548.88 for the year, an extra $926.78 over and above what they paid and will pay for the 2012. No one can explain what the extra $926.78 is for except to say they "need a cushion." This is just so unfair.

Chase did mess up with my tax payments. In NH the county is not the primary collector of taxes, the towns are. I live in Merrimack County; the state also has a “town of Merrimack.” Chase paid the town of Merrimack instead of my town. My town then threatened me with a tax lien due to 1 year back taxes. I called Chase and they insisted they paid (my town). I had to be quite persistent and become aggressive at times but 3 months later, my town received their check.
Then Chase tried to collect [from me] the money they paid to the wrong town! Round two begins... almost 6 months later it was finally resolved. I will say this; they have a terrible track record for estimating the proper escrow amounts.
My Insurance premium last year was $791. They dispersed $790, then estimated this years $791 at $63.82 per month. I'm no math major but that is only $765.84 for the year! Bet your bottom dollar my escrow next year involves extra to make up the variance.
My Property taxes are $7120 per year. They estimate my previous balance to be $0 and my Monthly escrow for taxes to be $540.23 per month… Again, my math tells me that adds up to $6482.76. 2009 they under estimated my taxes by almost $1100. So [in 2010] I had to pay $93 per month extra to make up for the previous shortfall in 2010. Yesterday they informed me they are returning my “overage” of $1086 via check with the next 60 days. And “good news, ” the rep states, “Your new total monthly mortgage payment will be $181 lower for the next year!” Again, no math wiz here but if I’m done paying for the previous shortfall, shouldn’t my new payment be less the $93? I gave a brief history of my escrow woes and asked to speak to the escrow department directly… the rep laughed! Then asked if there was anything else he could do for me?!

Unfortunately the story goes on… 4th year of Escrow woes is on the way. If my property value hadn’t taken a beating, I would refinance somewhere else. But I’m as close to upside down as you can get without capsizing!

Chase Home Finance has forced my mortgage into default on the basis that they had to pay my property tax on a house in Florida, they had to open an escrow account so that I could pay them back, they placed and canceled homeowners insurance every month from June through December 2010, etc. First - I paid the property tax and Chase had to recall their funds; Second - the escrow account was not needed and any attempt through telephone, faxes and letters did not close it; Third - the debits and credits for homeowner's insurance further confused their ability to "correct" mistakes they made. There customer service employees are not capable to undo the bank's errors. The tax and insurance areas give incorrect information, do not acknowledge receipt of faxed or mailed requests and have actually laughed at me. The biggest problem for me was Chase putting my monthly mortgage payments in a suspense account, charging late fees, creating a fictitious "escrow payment" that had no basis in reality. By monthly and bimonthly statements increasing my non-payment of their aggregated bogus amounts, they have ruined my credit rating and have forced my loan into a default status. I filed a complaint with the Office of the Comptroller an agency that is supposed to investigate claims, but I have no faith in their ability to undo this situation. Over the past 8 months I have received letters ranging from threats, let's be friends, loan modification, contradicting letters of how much I am in arrears, but never taking any responsibility that they made blatant bookkeeping errors, deliberately increased my monthly payments amount to include a bogus escrow payment, use their employees as pawns to further their quest of ruining people's lives. I am a retired bank officer with 35 years experience in bank operations and know Chase's intent was to discredit me, by forcing my loan into default and ruining an unblemished credit rating. Because of Chase's ongoing assault to my loan and credit rating, it has been unforgivable to upset a grieving mother whose two children died in a two month period. My life was over by the loss of both my children and I have been barely able to function on a daily basis because of the grief. To put this in context Chase's assault has made what little relief I have, nothing short of unbearable. Because my daughter died at age 45. unexpectedly. leaving five children, I have been living with them to comfort them and viceversa. My son's death, their favorite uncle, age 43, murdered in Florida added to the trauma for all of us. No human being should be subjected to losses that we have had and because Chase can and does ruin people's lives deliberately, knowingly, unlawfully and has no concept of social responsibility, Chase needs to be held accountable in a court of law. Their despicable business practices and willful acts of deciept should not go unpunished.

Their escrow department made us pay a "spread" for a whole year on our county taxes. I told them and told them that it was due to our late filing for a homeowner's exemption. For a whole year we paid an extra $275 per month to cover this spread. And what do I get in the mail but a note from the county to return all the money Chase collected in our escrow. Thanks Chase for the year of mortgage hell.

Apparently, Chase makes a practice of having their tax agent pull annual tax payment records without excluding people who pay taxes via installments. This makes people appear to be delinquent and gives Chase an excuse to set up escrow accounts according to the standard contract most people sign. I believe they "troll" for escrow this way, and hope that most people will not put up much of a fight about it.* I especially suspect they do this for 30-year mortgages with fewer than 5 or 10 years remaining, in hopes that these belong to more senior citizens of whom they can more easily take advantage. I do wish someone would investigate this.

For example, say your annual taxes for 2007 are due in full in January 2008, but your tax authority allows you the option to pay part of the taxes in November 2007 and the remainder in June, 2008. When Chase "pulls" the records in, say, February, 2008, only your partial November 2007 payment shows. "Oh, my goodness! You haven't paid all your taxes on time! You are delinquent! We must step in and fix this!" Having receipts for your November payment, and having billing statements indicating that you are allowed to pay in installments and that your next payment is not due until June, 2008, will generally do you no good, especially if Chase has already cut a check to your tax authority.

Contact your taxing authority with this information and see if they can help you out. My tax authority was very helpful in getting my issue resolved.

*I'm not clear on what is in it for Chase. Years ago, at least, any interest earned on an escrow account belonged to the borrower, and overages would be refunded to the borrower, not to the lender. Maybe this has changed? Does the lender now get a "cut" of any interest and/or overages in the escrow account?

Hello all.
I to am facing a very similar issue for the last year I have been paying the city tax department a monthly payment to take care of our property taxes. This arrangement was done in writing and I have proof that I have been paying,
however as of November of this year Chase is claiming that I had not paid anything and was delinquent in payment. How is this possible when I have proof of payment. When I did speak to a rep they never gave me a true answer of why they went ahead and took care of the remaining balance of 2008 and also paid 2009 taxes (even though the 2009 taxes is not due until Feb 01 2010. So they are going to raise my payment about 600.00 to 700.00 more than what it already is. How can the law allow them to force us into escrow even though I was current on payment of my taxes this is total bull ### and I wont go down w/o a fight

Chase I have all the documents to prove my innocence what do you have?
Nothing but dishonest employees trying to line there pockets with my hard earned money

I live in a townhome and have been making my payments regularly. They somehow took all of my escrow ($1930.00)out of my account and opened up a homeowners insurance policy back in Jan. 09.I already had a policy with my HOA and sent them the certificate of proof. They explained that the escrow dept. misplaced the documentand was informed they found it and will reinstate my escrow $1930.00 Chase then tagged another $200.00 onto my payment for seven months and harrassed the hell out of me
by phone. The past seven months of hell, I had to deal with eight to ten calls a day from collections claiming I only made a partial payment. I had to explain the same story numerous times until my body and mind shut down. They reported me to the credit bureau and totally wrecked my credit. Customer service and Collections never got on the same page and at with their mistake I am paying physically mentally and finacially.
as of August they straightened out the statement but left me in really bad shape.
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks for listening.

I absolutely agree. I am going through the same problem since November 2007. I refinanced back in 2006 and in November I was informed that I would need to pay for an escrow shortage related to Property Taxes that weren't included in my refinance. The notice from their "Escrow Department" gave me until December to make up the shortage in the amount of $1200 otherwise my fixed rate mortgage payment would increase by January. I was supposedly "Preferred A Customer". Not one late payment. Now I cannot get anyone to help me to let me do a payment plan for the shortage which was due to their two representatives error. I had two representatives handling my refinance. They've had a year to catch this error and I'm given 30 days on single household income. No one will assist me to bring my payment back to what I originally signed on to. Extremely disappointed with this error and their lack of assistance to a loyal customer. It is a shame. I risk losing my home now.

They are not honest at all. I had four strokes and a heart attack almost four years ago. So of course they had to get my homeowners insurance. But my local company said they could still carry my flood wind and hail. My policy was not due til April 24 08. I paid it on the 7th but they paid it on the 4th. Needless to say they now say that since I had to have them pay for homeowners into escrow they had to do that too. I have contacted Better Business and then the ThriftSupervision (Department of the Treasury). I am waiting to see if they will do anything! Why can't we all do a class action law suit?

JPMorgan Chase horrible service and rip off!

I have had a loan with Chase Auto Finance for almost 4 years. I originally put 25,000 dollars cash on my vehicle with only 4,000 dollars as the actual loan. I have been making very low payments since then because i was a student. For the entire 4 years I have made every single payment on time. Never once late. In July I had a very serious medical situation come up with my pregnancy which meant I would have to be hospitalized until December. I had called Chase immediately and asked for help. They said they would give me a deferment for two months. I thought it was all set up until a month later when i received mail that it had not gone through. I had then called back again and they said it didnt go through for some reason they could not say. But now it was set up. So at this point my son was born and I was still not working because he was very sick in NICU barely surviving. So I was just one month behind at that point. So I thought I would be ok with another month help. Then I got another bill saying I was 3 months late. They still had not applied the deferment. My son had passed away in November. I was still making payments when i could but i was not on time. I called again they said if i go to the bank and make a payment that it would be deferment again. I immediately went to the bank and called again while i was there with a representative from the bank. I made the payment, they said it would take one business day to post and then the deferment would be in effect. Now beginning of January I find out that my car is in collections. If I dont pay $3200 now it will be repossessed. I cannot get anyone to help me because now it is in collections and they dont care. So I then talked to a Thomas who said that if i can pay a good amount now that i can make payments. Which they are not suppose to do but because my loan is less than 4000 they can do it. So I gave them $1500 payment which i seriously did not have i have a family too. He then said I would have to pay 466.00 every month on the 29th of the month. I was to call him directly to make that arrangement and everything would be ok and my car would not be repossessed. So then I get a letter saying that I would be able to get a reduced amount on my loan if i pay in full now. So I called today (2/20/07), because thomas told me i would not be able to get it reduced because my car is worth more than the loan. so then i talk to the secretary who then tells me she will direct me to thomas or someone else who is available first. I didnt even ask for thomas she said his name to me. so she sends me to jeanie at phone number [protected]. she says there is no deal in the computer that i should not have my car right now. i was so upset so i got defensive she said there is no notes or thomas in the system. so i ask to talk to manager. She said Griffin is his name. so he gets on the phone yelling and being so disrespectful like i am so wrong and stupid. He even told me when i asked if i could talk that i couldnt "You have nothing to say". I said yes i do. He repeated to tell me that" you do not have anything to say". He also told me that they already tried to reposess my car but they couldnt get to it. Then he said i am being ridiculous and that he is "walking right over to the repossession department to pick up my car right now". Then he said i have 48 hours to pay $1900 dollars. Then I asked him his name and he wouldnt tell me at first he said you are not going to play this management ladder game with me. Then he finally told me his name is greg. I said well the lady told me it was griffin. He said no my last name is grittman. then he hung up on me. so i called back the number that i had for thomas and the lady sent me back to grittman saying he is the representative on my account now. Then when it went to him he was all nice to me saying that there is a note in the system that i talked to someone named perrie. maybe it was thomas perrie or viseaversa who knows. but that i had to deal with jeannie now because he cant give me to perrie because he didnt assign himself on my acct. which is not right if i talked to him to make the deal. so then they set up the payments for the exact amount i had before and didnt even apologize to me or anything. i want to know who his superior is and I want him fired immediately. he should not be working with people. I am a mother, a wife, a nurse, and a person and I demand respect. He had no right to speak with me in such a way. I hope it was recorded so everyone will know how he spoke to me. bottom like it shouldnt even be this situation if they would have put the deferment through in the beginning. I am highly upset and will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH CHASE EVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE, and believe me when i say no one that i know will do business with you either.

I am having the same problem. I have been late due to medical problems and hours cut on my job. I tried to explained this but it was like no one was listening. My note is due on the 28th of each month. I am late on the march payment but not yet 30 days. I getting these calls from a mr. cummings. he will not give me a deferrement because I had one last december and he states will not be due one again until this december. He calls me everyday. I expalined to him that I am not 30 days late as yet and would make my march payment on the 9th of april. he states that will not due. If I write a check the money is not going to be there. It's like these people have no understanding. I never said that I was not going to pay my note I ask for more time. So I called early one morning and spoke with a different person who states that my car was not up for repo that day but there was a note on my account that it could be. These people lie so much you don't know what to believe. Monday I was on my way to work I walk out of my house to see a wrecker at the stop sign. When I pull off he pulls off going the other way. I think it was suppose to be a scare. CAN ANYONE OUT THERE HELP US WITH THESE PEOPLE?

JPMorgan Chase purposeful overdraft?

Here it is. Chase bank extracted from my paycheck direct deposit checking account the amount of $285 in less than one weeks time. I made an $80 withdrawal from my checking account (at the bank mind you) and there was no problem. Of course I wasn't informed that they would be posting and insufficient funds fee to my account in the amount of $70. Their overdraft fee then made my balance in the negative which they have been charging me extended overdraft fees on. So either I was allowed to overdraw my account without being informed. Or they posted fees to my account to purposefully overdraw it in order to charge me additional fees. When I spoke to a manager I became extremely upset and was told I needed to calm down before she could "help" me. I asked her how it was she was going to help me, if not refunding what they took from me illegally. She then told me to call back another time and hung up on me. So this well known upstanding bank is not in it for their customers more like taking their customers paychecks. Not to mention their errors with their online banking in which they posted two $75 payments to my electric company for the same day. Two payments were not posted to my account, but they were on my electric company's bank statement. They had not receieved the funds for the two payments though. So this put me $75 back on the bill for my electric. When I sent an inquiry to Chase, I got a cold email back that was sorry and we're not responsible or liable. So this has been my experience with Chase bank. And the worst part of it, I haven't even been with them for a year.

We are tired of chase bank sticking their fingers in our hard earned money. Taking as little at 10 to 400 dollars from our account. We deposited into the atm and chase bank lost it. We have gone to channel 4 news hoping that they will help us out with exposing what they are doing. This constitutes theft no matter how you look at it. I trusted chase and put money into the atm and they lost it. Now thay have charged 300 in insufficent funds fees. Where does this stop and what do we have to dol we want our money back or we will find as many people that you have done this to and start a class action law suite. It is your choice. You have 24 hours. Then we go to the media and start the process.

We have no faith in you or your bank. Everyone that we have spolen to has dropped the ball and passed it on to someone else.

JPMorgan Chase illegal practices!

Consumers beware Chase Bank on their credit cards does NOT post payments to first item in, first item out. They post payment to the lowest interest item first I.e. purchases. Then what they have been doing to me is taking the interest on cash advances that was billed and and posting it to the "cash advance" balance. (They post the whole payment to purchase balance nothing to interest nothing to cash advances) Thereby, charging interest on interest at the cash advance rate! I don't know if this is illegal, but it should be.

JPMorgan Chase Charged for protection plan I did not authorize

I was speaking with a rep from Chase Bank for my Chase Visa card who informed me that I should really sign up for this payment protection plan. I have a small business and was told that small business hardship would allow me to activate this benefit. The benefit cost $90 per month and is run by a separate company which of course no one in the Chase office knows anything about.

I had a very rough month financially in the month of June and called to try to activate my payment protection plan which I have spent several hundred dollars on now.
I was told that my situation did not qualify for the plan and the situations that were listed were not ones that would likely ever apply to me.

This product was misrepresented and I have spent a lot of money on a product that I have no use for and that is clearly a scam. What can I do? I would like to be reimbursed and I would like for the /Chase representatives to either be educated on the product or not LIE about what the product can do.

Fundamentally, the Business Payment Protector program offers the client a “no payment” period but does not offer the client a solution to avoid exceeding the Total Credit Line as a result of deferred fees and interest. Because interest is applied as lump sum balloon payments along with other fees, a client at or near the Total Credit Line is unable to control or avoid exceeding the “Limit” following the “no payment” period. As you can see, the logic for this program is tainted with redundancies that are not client driven and result in unfair advantages for Card Services that may conceivably be predisposed to FDIC scrutiny.

Class action is building: Chapter VII. Abusive Practices of the Federal Trade Commission Act states; "An act or practice is unfair where it (1) causes or is likely to cause substantial injury to consumers, (2) cannot be reasonably avoided by consumers, and (3) is not outweighed by countervailing benefits to consumers..." "Substantial injury usually involves monetary harm. An act or practice that causes a small amount of harm to a large amount of people may be deemed to cause substantial injury."

Good Luck with that!Chase's regular payment protection plan for disability, or any other hardship, only results in at best, a 24 month waiver of minimum payments, but the interest still accrues, and adjusts everytime they see fit, which is often. At worst, Chase will close your acct once you file, (Chase actually owns the entity that offers the plan), and then start billing you for late payments, late fees, and interest on the late charges, & fees, plus, as it accrues to an over the limit amount, it just gets worse. I just wish that someone in authority would take a CLOSE look at all of the complaints that I have read, and also mine, and SHUT THEM DOWN! However, it would appear that we are either going to have to band together, and raise the noise level, or suffer in silence. I choose to raise the noise level until it is unavoidable to hear!

Did you verify with the bank? if so did they play you the recording where you might have admitted to activating the service?
If they don't have that then you should be able to cancel it and receive your full refund.

JPMorgan Chase company does not respond to my query!

I have been calling Chase at their Correspondence Department - [protected]. The number disconnects you before you get to connect to anyone because of high call volume. I have also faxed their Correspondence Department numerous times at [protected]. The reason I have been so persistent in contacting them is because they owe me money from a refund check. The check had a stop payment placed on it because I received it too late to deposit it, so when I did deposit it, I was charged a fee and subsequently I did not get my refund. To top matters is that my account was closed and no one can tell me why.

I have been calling Chase for the past MANY months. None of the representatives are able to assist me with my query. All they do is provide me with phone numbers of different departments. It is annoying to be constantly passed around.

The fax number [protected] never connects. Apart from the remote deposit from smart phones, Chase is absolute Trash, they claim 5% cash backs, but the cash back is not currency but points, which you would come to know only after you have spoken to a representative.

I called chase today about the outragous intrest rate on my credit card 29%. I explained to them I never made a late payment, always paid way over the minimum payment, my plus scores are over 710, and been a customer since 2008. They simply said we can't do anything about it, nor they cared even to speak. Rude financial advisors that don't care about their valued customers. Shame on them.

I hate this company, and will never recommend their credit cards.

Come to find out on Tuesday they decided they did not deposit that check until Monday and charged me fees for all my transactions i did over the weekend. They said it was not bank error and will not refund me any fees. They could care less that i am struggling as it is and were rude!

Chase is trash. I sent my payment in on time as I have every single month of everysingle year. All of a sudden I get an alert on my report saying I'm late and over my limit. So my payment never made. Ok no big deal, call chase to explain the situation and to pay the amount over the phone. They absolutley refuse to waive the late fee. They keep telling me to use a different payment method, that its my fault for using the mail. Sorry for relying on the usps. Soooorry. My reponse is for chase to prove to me they didn't nisplace it. They basically said they are to sweet for that. So now they are telling me my payment is going to be an extra 60 for all of this. Any other RESPECTABLE card companies would waive the fee. I have had several where I caught their errors and they have done the right thing. This makes me ill. I told the supervisor I will be canceling all three of my chase accounts. She didn't seem to worried about retaining me as a customer. I probably pay her salary in interest every year and she's going to lose that over 29 bucks. Trash. They are next to go under.

This story sounds all to familiar ...
Chase also inflated our escrow and demanded 400.00 escrow payment per month for 2100.00 taxes. Our attorney sent Chase a letter June 2008 stating to adjust the escrow amount to fit 2100.00 tax budget. As of Dec 2008 our escrow amount was not adjusted. Dec 15 I paid my property taxes to the county and chase paid them 10 days later and sent us default notice. Feb 3 we are going in front of the chapter 13 bankruptcy judge. I am using all avenues to get this resolve I will tell my issue to anyone that will listen until it is resolved. I am filing a complaint at the Better Business Bureau not hoping that they will resolve my issue but it will rack up a running talley of complaints towards Chase. A link to the BBB web site below
