Just Answer money collectors for 4 months
Citizen advice sent me the link to JustAnswer. I asked just one question, also later I asked a local solicitor and have completely different answers. Then after 3 months, I have cancelled when saw direct debit it still charged for last month June 27th. charged for membership I haven't realised. I have asked for a partial refund to be made but the Just answer Supervisor sent me away as it is non-refundable. I do disagree as this is against the law if I have not received service!
4 months = £205 for one question! Thanks, but NO I bet a small claim will do.
Desired outcome: I asked politely to receive partial refund £150 at least to have both parties happy.
Unauthorised charging to my account.
I had a problem about 1 month go with a supplier and your service resolved it for me for which I am most grateful. However, since that date I have been charged $66, and I don't know what for.
Please let me know what that charge was for and ensure that no further charges are made. I make no commitment to future charges and will try and reverse any future charges if any appear.
Following is the charge which appeared on my credit card:
TECH-REVIEW *JUSTANSWR [protected] CA
CREDIT CARD PURCHASE Card ending 3206
-minus $66.00 + $233.45
Desired outcome: Resolution of problem with your charges.
Veterinary question that I cancelled
I asked a uestion and did not realize it was a paid service. When I realized I would be charged $5.99 I immediately shut it down and said I no longer was interested in any communications. The veterinarian that was on line said no problem and I would not be charged the $5.99. Today, I get notified by paypal that these fraudsters have charged my account for $29.00. I called and spoke to someone who stated that because I did not cancel it through a phone call to customer service that they are unable to credit my account. Lesson learned.
Initial email message was June 30, 2021. I was charged today 7/6/21 for $29.00. This is a scam service and should be avoided at all costs.
I agree They did the same to me only I was charged $46 after I received confirmation that they terminated the service the same day that I ordered it. What a scam.
Veterinary advice
I paid 5.00 to receive some veterinary advice. I was told someone would be in touch as soon as possible. I managed to get a vet locally to see my pet and wrote saying I no longer needed advice and to repay me my 5.00. I have now looked at my credit card statement and see that you have without my authorisation or knowledge taken 27.00 from my account. Please pay this back without delay . My name is Anne Barrett The money was taken from my account on the A debit card payment of £27.00 to VETERINARIAN*JUSTA was taken from your account

Unauthorised debit to my bank account
I agreed to pay ZAR65 (USD4.56) to Just Answer to attempt to solve a problem on my laptop. They were unable to solve it on their online chat service. They then offered to attempt to solve it by connecting remotely to my laptop, for which they would charge a much larger fee. I disagreed. They then asked me to rate their service. I said they were polite but had not managed to solve the problem. They then offered to connect to my computer remotely for free. I agreed. They did so. This all took a while. They were still not able to solve the problem. Again I rated their service as polite but pointed out that they had not been able to solve the problem. Eventually I solve the problem myself by finding a solution online. Today I received my bank statement. I noted a debit of ZAR65 for a company called TECH-GEEK_JA. It took me a while to figure out that this was Just Answer. I also noted a debit for ZAR599 (USD42). I did not authorise any such debit.
Desired outcome: Refund of ZAR599 (USD42).
Charges
I was told that for just $5.00 I could ask a specialized attoreny in my area questions about my case. It took over an hour to get a question in return. The atorney could not even grasp what I was asking. I tried again and still no answer. So after several attempts of trying to get their cracker jack attorney to answer or to even understand my questions, he could not. He could not even understand what I was asking of him. I immediately cancelled by email and text and now have a $5 and $60 charge for a useless service
Desired outcome: refund
Just Answer
I used them once but they charged my credit card again a year later. It is not a subscription service. I paid for help one time and they could not help that one time. But you had to pay to find out if they could.

I used free sign up, got one email and then kept getting charges on my AMEX
Desired outcome: i want 3 mos. credited to my cc

My name is Lynn Bills [protected]. I live in west branch, Michigan this is not right to do this to people wound got sucked in to a trial but then we are charged extra for something we did not ask for
Desired outcome: refund on both
Unable to pay my expert; very poor customer service
I have been trying for two days to make a payment on your website using a different credit cards, from different browsers, from different laptops, opened a new question to try to attempt it that way in case the error was connected to my original question and and and... Just as a reference, I have architected solutions like JustAnswer for decades on the back end, so these sites aren't foreign to me as an architect.
I used "credit card 1" yesterday to reactivate my membership as I have been away for a while. No problem there. That same credit card information was saved in my profile. Your site ran two more transactions against this card in the next few minutes. At the point in which I chose an expert for a "deeper dive" into my issue, my default credit card was declined by my bank because the bank marked it "suspicious". I had to call to confirm the transaction was mine and "release" the transaction, which I did in the next few minutes.
The transaction was attempted again. It failed again, though it had been confirmed that the account was good. The transaction was good. And, that the funds were available. Still no joy. I called the bank (Wells Fargo) AGAIN. However, this time they claimed (and I confirmed online on their portal) that no additional attempt at this transaction had been made.
At this point, JustAnswer customer support advised to try another credit card. Which I did. Same error, "we don't have your update credit card information, please update and try again ". I called the bank (Chase) and they verified that no attempt had been tried against my account in this amount. I relayed this information to JustAnswer Customer Support. Their answer was "try again tomorrow". At this point, I had 2+ hours invested in trying to pay my expert.
I tried again this morning. Two different credit cards again. Same error. Again. Again, neither bank reports that funds were requested at all and certainly the transaction was not DECLINED. I called customer service AGAIN and they said "someone will call you back in the next 24 hours". I asked them to escalate. I was told I would be called back in "5 or 10 minutes". That was almost 3 HOURS ago.
I just want to pay for the service I received.
Desired outcome: Contact from JustAnswer to resolve my problem and that does NOT equal "call me tomorrow".
Unauthorized credit card charges
My husband called one time, fee was supposed to be $5.00, they charged on our credit card $60 dollars for 8 months. Only gave us credit for 3 months. They promised me they would give all 8 months credit. Never gave us the credit. Their evaluation was not correct, we lost money on the sale.
Watch out .
Desired outcome: Credits to my charge card wanted
ask-a doctor just answer
Why are these germs allowed to continue stealing from folk. I used this service only once but have paid over a thousand dollars. I called these crooks and admonished them for their reprehensible practice of manipulating one time users into an everlasting membership. I only intended to use this service once, however these crooks cleverly situate verbiage on their site to capture users unsolicited membership.
These crook know better and they rely on unsuspecting users of their site to not recognize the trap. It is totally indecent for any professional doctor to associate him/her self with such a shoddy operation.
Desired outcome: I want my money back, I used this service only ONCE!!!!!
charges on my credit card
I looked into this service months ago and never sused it. I cancelled it and several months later I had another charge on my card. I had to call again to have them remove the charge and they said I never cancelled it. Funny how it was months before I had another charge and then had to call again. If you do not watch your account they will try to charge you even after you cancell.
All
Complete fraud. The service was short and sweat and the answers to my question were quick and correct. However after a one time payment I incurred unsolicited or agreed upon fees automatically coming off my card . This is theft and a waste of my time. I will be acting in my own best interest and bill the tools for my time to solve their faulty and criminal service. It was their intent and failure to manage their service that "forced" me to manage their affairs.
Unwanted membership
I initially was having a problem with an Adobe account. In trying to solve this issue online I was directed to Justanswer which I initially thought was part of Adobe. Next I'm being asked to pay $5. I agreed which was a mistake. I then provided a detailed summary of the problem. I was then told that in order to address this issue I would need to have the services of a technician which would cost me $56. I should have realized this was rubbish. After paying, I had someone take control of my computer to explore the issue. They then gave me some advice which indicated they had no idea about the problem I had previously explained. After re-explaining the problem, I was told I would have to call a 1800 number to sort the issue. A complete waste of money and time. I later lodged a complaint in their customer review - no response.
Now I receive an email saying my trial would end and that I will be billed $66 per month. There is a section saying how to cancel your membership but when I follow the directions there is NO cancel membership section. I then chatted with someone and eventually was told I would receive an email confirming cancellation within the hour. Seven hours later there was no email and my account was still active. Again I contacted them demanding cancellation. I was told a technician would be with me in 8 minutes. The 8 minutes just kept going on forever. I then went to the original chat line and again demanded to cancel membership. Finally I received an email saying the membership was over. This is totally unscrupulous behavior. There is no cancel membership option available.
Lawyer question about employer retaliation
I was told id have a answer in minutes. When days past, I contacted customer service and somehow they could get me a call from a lawyer right away. It really seems like a scam. I told them i want to cancel my membership. If i get any charge i will not be happy. I now have wasted time and have only 5 days to find a lawyer due to a time sensitive matter i was given by my employer..which i did explain to just answer!
Desired outcome: A true honest review and refund.
Technical support
On 3rd June, 2021 I had a problem with my internet at 11.30pm and was trying to contact my ISP to find out whether there was a general out of the internet or just with my connection. I tried to speak to their technical support but they were uncontactable out of office hours and I was directed to this site. I spoke to someone who then wanted me to pay $5.00 (which I was told was refundable) so I could speak to their technical support. So I paid via my card and then explained my problem and was then sent to another section where they wanted me to pay $56.00 for more advanced technical support. I did not agree to this and asked for a second opinion. The next person I spoke to, I explained that I just wanted to find out if the internet was down or what the problem was and that I did not want, and COULD NOT AFFORD to pay the $56.00 they were asking. In stead of helping, I was again put through to the same section wanting me to pay $56.00. I DID NOT agree to this payment and hung up. I now find a pending transaction for $66.00 in my bank account for a subscription I did not agree to and request that you withdraw the request for this amount and not charge me again. PS. I did not get the $5.00 refunded either. Not sure which is the correct number, so I am giving you both: [protected] and [protected].
My email address is [protected]@iprimus.com. au
Name: Rosada Archibald
Desired outcome: remove subscription and request for money I did not agree to pay
Took my money then canceled my membership
I tried to cancel my membership at the end of my trial. The site was down. I contacted cust. support and they said I had to log into the site. The next day they took money out THEN canceled my membership. So they got my payment for the month and I couldn't use the month. Asked for a refund and was told I'm not eligible. Their response will be "we're sorry" contact us. What a joke.
Desired outcome: Money refund
Unauthorized credit card charges
Hi,
I came to justanswer pet with a question about my dog, after speaking with a virtual assitant I was directed to a page to pay $5 to be connected with a vet. The virtual assistant never said anything about signing up for a membership or a trial, it just said go here and pay $5 and I will connect you.
I entered in my Paypal information and was never asked to create an account or sign up for a membership. It was a high stress situation with a new puppy who was sick and I was trying to get through as quickly as I could, if there was fine print somewhere I did not see it.
The next day I was even worried about it being some type of recurring charge situation so I went to your site to see if an account had been created. I tried to login with the only email I use to create such accounts but it told me there was no account associated with that email. I figured I didnt sign up for anything then. Unfortunately I saw a $31 charge on my card a few days later.
It appears what happened is it signed me up for an account with the email associated with my paypal account, which I guess makes sense but like I said it didnt ask me to create an account so I didn't even think of that.
Usually I would accept that I had made a mistake by not cancelling in time but I genuinely did not know that a trial was signed up for and even tried to make sure the next day. Its clear that I did make the mistake of not considering my other email but if I would have been asked for my email somewhere I would not have typed in that one.
All I would like is to have that $31 charge refunded and my "membership" cancelled. I feel like this is completely reasonable as I have not utilized any "membership services" and had no intention of doing so.
Thanks,
Cameron
Desired outcome: Refund of $31 charge
