Misrepresentation, not as described!!! Beware!
On April 29, 2023, I won 3 auctions from this site from the same seller "surplusandreturns". The auction title was "Wholesale Packages Merchandise Returns, Lost Mail, Undelivered Post"
The auction stated:
- Wholesale lot of unmanifested unopened general merchandise returns
- It also contains mail that is Undelivered / Unclaimed/ lost.
- This lot contains up to 30 (10-30) packages sourced from big and well knows shipping suppliers. It is unknown what's inside these packages because they have not been opened to examine the content. USPS
- MSRP unknown amount.
- There is no guarantee of what's inside the packages and the condition of the items. Bid confidently and carefully.
I was excited winning these auctions because I thought I was getting unopened packages. But when I received the first batch of the packages from auction 1 & 2, I was very disappointed to see the packages are opened and and rewrapped! So obviously these packages content was examined already and have been selected, the reason all the packages are garbage and worthless. I feel so scammed, ripped off, defrauded and cheated by Liquidation. I contact them to cancel the Auction 3 and to stop the shipment because I know what I am getting. Yet they refused to cancel and asked me to file a dispute on their site if there are any issue. But when I log in to complain, I was banned because I filed a dispute on Paypal for the first batch of shipment. And the only way to get back to their site if I cancelled the dispute on Paypal, Good thing I did not close the dispute on Paypal because the following day I received an email from them denying my claim.
I am very disappointed with Liquidation.com. It used to be a great site for buying bulk merchandise but for them to defend these scammers, this really give them a bad name. They should not allow these type of dishonest sellers to sell to their site. I escalated my claim on Paypal. Please beware of Liquidation, This site cannot be trusted anymore. I will never complain if I received unopened packages as stated in the listing. This is not right at all. I want to cry so bad when I get the first batch of the packages because I just feel like I am being scammed with these opened packages. Not a great feeling at all. NEVER AGAIN!
SONY WF1000XM4
I bought a lot of sony headphones. Two of them were defective. The headphones heated up when charged. The headphones heat up and won't charge. The auction ID is [protected]. I have contacted liquidation about the issue and they have refused to help me even accusing me I am switching broken headphones with these one. I will no longer be taking my business there until this issue is resolved
Desired outcome: I would like a partial refund for the lot
Pallet of shelf pull taotronics earbuds
I purchased 498 Taotronics Soundliberty 97, 95 and 92 earbuds from liquidation.com. The condition was listed as "shelf-pulls" which they define as merchandise never purchased from a store and pulled off the shelf. Most of the items I received were still in the plastic wrapping. When I opened one to test out the quality, it would not charge. I tested 14 more and none of them worked.
When I contacted them, they advised me I would need to send a video of each defective item to receive a refund for each one. That is 498 videos. 498!
If I were to try and charge each unit for the 3 hours advised in the instruction manual, and charged them 24 hours a day, it would take me over 62 days to finish charging them! At that point I would assume they would tell me that it is well past the return window and they cannot be sure that I didn't damage the items myself. They still stood by their decision and denied my return.
I have now submitted a dispute with my bank and will be sending a letter to the BBB, FTC and my state attorney general to lodge formal complaints against this company. I can only hope my bank takes my side in the claim.
Please avoid this company at all costs as their communication skill are dismal. They didn't even email or call me to tell me my dispute was rejected. I only found out after emailing 4 times, then calling them.
I have seen other reports of shill bidding, cannot confirm that is the case, but I wouldn't put it past them.
Is Liquidation.com Legit?
Liquidation.com earns a trustworthiness rating of 41%
Double-checking is the best solution in this case.
We conducted a search on social media and found several negative reviews related to Liquidation.com. These reviews may indicate issues with the company's products, services, or customer support. It is important to thoroughly research the company and its offerings before making any purchases to avoid any potential risks.
However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:

This demonstrates a commitment to customer service and transparency, which is a positive sign for building trust with customers.
- A long registered date for liquidation.com can be seen as a positive aspect for Liquidation.com as it indicates a commitment to maintaining the website and its domain name for a long period of time. It also suggests that the company is organized and has taken steps to secure its online presence.
- The age of Liquidation.com's domain suggests that they have had sufficient time to establish a reputation as a reliable source of information and services. This can provide reassurance to potential customers seeking quality products or services.
- Liquidation.com has a valid SSL certificate, while Scammers can obtain a valid SSL certificate by using fake information or by using a stolen or hijacked domain. In some cases, they may even use a certificate issued to another legitimate website.
- We looked up Liquidation.com and found that the website is receiving a high amount of traffic. This could be a sign of a popular and trustworthy website, but it is still important to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of the site before sharing any personal or financial information
misrepresentation of goods, shill bidding, unprofessional shipping
On 01/19/2022 4:05 PM I won an auction for "Turtle Beach, Rig, SteelSeries Gaming Headset for Xbox X/S,PS4/5& More", listed here:
https://www.liquidation.com/auction/view?auctionId=15906283
The auction was for over 300 gaming headsets. The stated condition was "returns". I don't know who would accept returns for gaming headsets that are obviously physically damaged and or appear to have been used for about 3 years. Less than 50 of the headsets did not have heavy wear and or smell bad. I cannot resell 275 broken and or filthy headsets. I am convinced that the seller, Wholesale_King, put together a lemon of a pallet on purpose.
They claimed that the pallet was "uninspected" items. It's more than improbable that these weren't singled out as particularly bad headsets that couldn't be resold through other means. I've already thrown away 200+ headsets that were unredeemable. Broken headbands, cut wires, overpowering odors, even some food garbage. And I can't imagine who has the nerve to return headsets that reek of weed, but there were several.
The bidding pattern was also very suspicious, given the reputation for shill bidding I read about for liquidation.com online. While I can't prove it, I suspect the price was artifically driven up.
Liquidation.com states that you only have 3 business days to file a dispute. I've already spent over 40 hours going through these headsets, trying to piece together working ones from broken ones, trying to wash the smell out of the ear pads. How would 3 business days be enough time? It takes too long to test gaming headsets to reasonably expect someone to determine if they've been defrauded in that amount of time.
Shipping was another debacle. The seller arranged for shipping through T-Force freight. Neither the seller, liquidation.com, nor t-force freight informed me that delivery was by appointment only. I had to call 8 times before I actually got to a scheduling clerk, and the pallet arrived 5 days later than estimated.
Desired outcome: A full refund. Not only am I down over $4,000, but also 40 hours of my time.
I forgot to mention: Just about all the boxes have a "recycle" tag on them, meaning that the headsets must have been inspected by someone and determined to be trash. This was not mentioned in the auction description, and had I known this, would not have bid.
unethical behavior
I purchased 2 pallets from them that were set for delivery on Sept 20th from T Force. I paid the shipping through liquidation.com so the problem that I had with the delivery and getting a refund is suppose to be handled through them per my conversations with T Force customer service.
That issue is they scheduled a delivery 3 days in a rough for my residential address where I paid extra fees for that to have a lift gate to deliver my two pallets. Three days in a row they put my pallets on the wrong truck which resulted in me sitting at home all day unable to leave and work because my delivery said out for delivery between 11-3 but each day besides the 3rd day i called around 3 when it hadn't been delivered and asked what was going on; I got the run around and then I was told that it was on the wrong truck again. That 3rd day I called early to try to catch them before they could make the same mistake but it was already on the wrong truck again. Then my pallets disappeared for 2 days straight until I wrote an email complaint through T Force's online complaint system. I was told that I couldn't get a refund or discount on the delivery until it was actually delivered and that I would have to go through liquidation.com to do it since gave them the money to pay for shipping. 2 other customer services reps told me I just had to call back to get it myself but I wasn't sure so I sent an email to Liquidation.com explaining what was going on which they did not reply to and then I finally called T Force again on Mon Sept 26th to try to get that refund but they this Rep said I'd have to get it through Liquidation.com as well so here i am after being hung up on three times with last time being after I explained my issue to liquidation.com and the rep telling me she has to talk to her manager twice after i told her that T Force said I could get a refund if it was requested by Liquidation.com. i havent received a call back after this last hang up so I'm pretty sure I won't be getting contacted as they are just trying to avoid doing any work on behalf of their paying customer that paid over $500 in shipping for items that were ultimately delivered 5 days late without an delivery scheduled on the actual day they just left it in my drive way without my knowledge because the last time we had spoke on the phone Friday night, my pallets had not been found yet so they told me to call back Mon for an update but instead dropped it off in my driveway at 7am without notice and for it to be subject to any theft or damage as it was all electronic/ appliances.
Desired outcome: Refund for the late delivery and bad service of both companies

My name is Sandra Daniels
I have been a seller for liquidation.com for 6 years 7 months. I'm writing this email to let you know that I had a dispute several months ago from a buyer. Customer support ruled that the dispute was in my favor and that I would be paid for disputed item. Then about a week later they changed the outcome of dispute and said the buyer was in favor. I read in my contract that that all rulings of disputes are final. I sent whoever does disputes more paperwork and as of today never heard back from them. Meanwhile 2 items that were sent out to two buyers have been completed and it says "paying seller" on dec 2. I still haven't gotten paid for those 2 items and I was wondering what was taking so long. I come to find out from jacinta millikin that I have a negative balance on my account for the dispute and that money was being taken out from my items for the dispute and that ups said item was undelivered because I was not home. This is not true I stay home all day everyday and not one ups package was delivered to me and if they did they never put a note saying sorry we missed note they always put on my door saying they tried to deliver a package to me. I never got item back from buyer and I was told by Jacinta Milliken not to worry that the company would take care of dispute. Now all of a sudden i'm not getting paid for my items because of this said dispute? I will not sell anything else on liquidation.com site until I receive all monies due me for all of my items. I also will write complaints to bbb and whoever else I can regarding this matter. I have been a seller for this company 6 years and 7 months and I know there are a lot of complaints regarding this company. I will not let this this company steal from me because that is what this company is doing by not paying me for my items. I want payment immediately for all items that have been sent out.
Also this is from Liquidation.com Terms and Conditions. It states:
Our customer service department accepts and reviews legitimate claims solely as a service. Liquidity Services is not responsible or liable for any Assets, or Listings of third party sellers. Where you have a legitimate claim, refunds or returns of merchandise must be approved by our customer service department. All decisions of the customer service department are final
Also I never received a tracking number from Jacinta Millikin or anyone else at Liquidation.com or the buyer for allegedly sending my item back to me. Jacinta Millikin said I refused item and said it was undeliverable which is a complete and total lie. I want tracking number so I can investigate if item was actually sent. This company has so many complaints from people because of their unscrupulous business practices. I have no idea why liquidation.com is not investigated and shut down
A lot of returns
The stuff is mostly garbage. Alot of little kid clothing that looks worn with pilling. Some men stuff that are just ok. Not sure why they feel the need to black out the tags or cut them off completely. I would consider most of this stuff salvage. Also I was supposed to get two Patagonia vests and only got one which was on the manifest. Very disappointed. I was going to bid on another lot before I got this purchase. Thank goodness I didn't! Don't buy from FashionForward. Terrible clothing. The funny thing is the prices that they put on the manifest for each item. There is no way the price matches the condition of the items.
iPhone 11 pro max mirrored cell phone cases
I purchased 60 iPhone Pro Max mirrored cell phone cases on July 13 2020 at auction for $145.00 that were listed as NEW. What I received was damaged defective goods that can't be sold as new. They denied my refund. So I'm filing as many complaints as I can including the BBB FTC and the Maryland state atty. gen. office. I also located the social media page...
Read full review of Liquidation.comover charging for sales tax
Liquidation.com has charged as much as 20% for sales tax. I sent request for refund of over charged taxes and I have called them. Get the same response they have reached out to whatever department and it will take 2-3 business days to process. Of coarse nothing happens. I filed a complaint with the state. Just another way they are ripping people off
advertised as return all salvage.
I want everyone to know I went to the better business bureau. I got some money back but I just received a message from liquidation that they are closing the case, but my case with the bbb is still open. If you have issues of scam the bbb will help. They have and are helping me. Do not expect liquidation to do the right thing. I was told they are so backed up with disputes and only have 3 people working it. Go above their heads.
beware dealing with this site
This warning is for sellers. You better find another place for your service. They may use your earned money for paying fees you have no idea about. That's what happened to me. I know that my buyer paid for my product. But where is my money now? They said where. My money was spent on some fees from their website. What fees? Why didn't I know about them? Why didn't I get any notifications about it? These questions will be left unanswered for me.
Unbelievable. And you claim your website is an honest place? It's just ridiculous.
I know exactly how you feel. I have been a seller for liquidation.com for 6 years and 7 months and now they are not paying me for items that were bought by buyers claiming that I have to pay for fees and everything else because of buyer dispute. customer support ruled in my favor then a week later they reversed decision and even in their terms and conditions customer service makes decision and is final. then jacinta millikin has the nerve to tell me that my irem was sent back to me and I refused and was undeliverable which is an outright lie. I never received my item and no one ever delivered it. liquidation.com needs to be investigated anf shut down
scam
Do not sell anything on this website www.liquidation.com, they will never pay you! I sold an item here and they said I'll get the money within a week but I never received anything. When I contacted Liquidation customer service they said that all the money went to cover my fees. Beyond ridiculous! I never heard anything about that. These people basically stole my money and there was nothing I could do. I will not use this site again and would not recommend it to anyone.
no goods received / no refund received
On 2th of July they sold merchandise which they not had. This was Thursday. On SUNDAY they ask for the money!!! During the weekend banks are not working. On Monday they received my funds, international wire transfer, 1 business day. After they received my money I got an eMail "the merchandise does not longer exists - they will refund me" After weeks I heard...

Hello,
This is my first experience. I participated 2 auctions and won both. First parcel has been return soon after arriving due to totally different content from the picture and discription for full refund. Second one arriver later and after i inspected individually wrapping purces - i realized there is nothing to do with discription. There are poor, making most likely in sweat shop plastic totes. However i felt hesitated to return it because i already did it with first package. When i desided to pull this staff on shelves for selling i discovered absolutely horrible odor inside the indi vidual wrapping packages on the middle and the bottom of the box. Becaiuse the nature of item, it could not be open all of them otherwise it couldnot be consider as new. There is no labels on the item or any brand names. At this poit time frame for return had been passed but i contacted to customer service and after reasonable explanation i was offered to file a claim against this transaction. Later i was asked to provide sample for evaluation. Finally, my claim had been dinied due to (According to company) absent of smell - just odor of new item. In addition, i just discover they charge me $ 176. 75 instead of grand total according invoice$ 168. 56
I had 2 bad experiences with this seller and assume they use to lure people with mispresentation.
Please evaluate this issue. This purcase took place 10 / 3 / 2014 tracsaction # 4711742 auction # 8490766
did not receive what I paid for
I ordered a lot of 100 tank tops off of a seller on liquidation.com. She goes by the name of EternityForever. The tank tops came, and they were not marked with any sizes which put me out around $165. I incorrectly assumed that it was one size fit's all. A few days later I decided to double check myself and called liquidaton in addition to the seller. I spoke with EternityForever, the seller, and she said she would "try" to replace it with something else, never heard from her again. Never heard back from Liquidation customer service either in regards to my complaint.. Do not do business with this seller, or do so at your own risk. Company as well is very shaky and poorly run. Have ordered from a couple of other seller's over the years, and have received clothing that was supposed to be new and came stained as though it was salvage. Liquidation does nothing to hold their seller's accountable in the way that Ebay or Amazon do, and the dispute department rarely helps. If you do order through them, I would highly recommend buying through Paypal, so you have use of the buyer protection program. Be very careful of doing business with this seller or company, I have been burned on more then one occasion.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
misrepresentation w / intent
I'm going to make this brief, I was "scammed, ripped off, defrauded, cheated..." by Liquidation.com who intentionally allows CKBargainsNC to misrepresent the quality of goods, the condition of the goods, and the categorization of such goods on their "auction" website to the tune of over a hundred auctions at any given moment, on any given day.
I bid, I won, I paid...then what happened? Well, if you are here reading this, then you can guess what happened.
This is happening to other consumers, every day, every hour, by unscrupulous sellers. These sellers pump up LIQ's bottom line, and therefore are not held to any sort of high standard, medium standard or even a legal standard! LIQ hides behind terms and conditions that they believe removes all liability. Guess again! Any signed contract (the purchase contract in this example) that is entered into based upon facts presented, is null and void if those facts were untrue, false, or misrepresented whether intentional or not, in order to entice the consumer to agree to it and make the purchase.
Search for Facebook page STOP Liquidation...like it, ad your story, or send me your story and share...just join me in this demand for legal, ethical and fair trade practices by this company and it's associates and be on the lookout for my website STOPLiquidation.com which is under construction right now.
And that's all she wrote folks!
C'est la vie
fraud
Liquidity Services, Inc., and at least one of their sellers, believes false advertising of products is not wrong. One of their online sellers, Scentsations582012, listed a pack of video games, for the Sony PS3, as 'shelf-pulls'. Unfortunately, I fell for the fraud, because I won the bid only to receive a box with the fifth games that were in PATHETIC...

I too have just brought something from liquidation. And I told liquidation about it before the 48 hours. They still took my money and stated that they did the investigation and clear the seller. I brought some DG sunglasses from world export and you can clearly see they are knock off. but on the auction it said that they was real and had pictures of different sunglasses, then the ones I got in the box. I have a e commerce site and was looking to sell these to my customers never will I do person like that and never will I order from liquidation again. If people don't like what they got in they auction why are you taking they money. I got a liquidation up the street from me where I can take the stuff to they employees and they can see it in person. But they said everything go thru they complaint center. What a croc of BS! know a lot of people know about liquidation.com but nobody buy from them I see why!
shortage
Golf Putters advertised or at least listed WITH HEAD COVERS.
No head covers were shipped; They wouldnt even respond to many inquiries with anything but "see the manifest";
I am pretty sure the original source (which they won't reveal) has the head covers just sitting in their warehouse.
Pretty much a "don't bother us deal"; I even called and asked what else I need to do and the customer service lady said no"nothing", it is now in the hands of the orginal seller. 3 days later I received a denial of my claim. I've written, I've called and now I have accepted that I have a bunch of putters with NO HEAD COVERS. Virtually useless for re-sale.
I wish that I could sue them but it wouldnt be worth the expense...and they know it.
UNSCRUPULUOUS!
I suggest any stay away from them.
