JustAnswer Subscription

I landed on the JUSTANSWER website and started a chat on the homepage. I precisely asked for a lawyer looking over a termination contract, I have screenshot of the chat. The lady mentioned 1 euros fee on the chat, she only mentioned the 1 euros fee. Yet, I have been charged 59 euros. I then received a message from someone telling me that he will not look over my termination contract.

This is not ok, I expect a refund.

Desired outcome: Refund of 59 euros immediately

my name is michael cayford on the 18april you charged my card with$68 for which you provided no service.the card charged ends with 3861 and a reference

on the transaction was [protected].i have raised this payment as a dispute with my bank and to stop any recuring payments that may happen in the future,

how you can charge for a service that was not requested and not provided escapes me.i will continue to dispute any payments to you that have not provided and if this is a recuring payment please cancel it

You are taking $70 a month from my account and are not authorized to do so, I cannot log in as your system is not recognizing my pass word, when I ask for a reset and give my email address nothing is coming through from you.
I am going to report your company as a scam to the international trading commission if you do not respond! I require a full repayment of all the funds you have taken from my account.

JustAnswer Payments

I used this company on about 18th March 2023 with a problem and I thought that I was paying $6.60 for a reply for my question which was not fixed. I then got an extra $66.00 taken out of my account on the 19th March 2023 which I was not happy about but I have now received another amount of $66.00 which is totally unreal so I would like a refund of this amount and the recurring amount deleted as I am about to cancel my debit card anyway. I am requesting to have the 55.00 monthly charge reversed. I did nor know that they were going to charge it to your account right away. I thought the 1.00 was for the first month and then 55.00. Hopefully I can get my money back. I submitted one question on 4/15. Then I checked my account and seen they charged the 1.00 plus the 55.00. I got ahold of someone right away and canceled

JustAnswer You charge me $ 122,536.76 colombian pesos for a service tha i did not recieved. Please reinbust me that amount.

This incident happened today at 18:02 pm colombian time. I was looking for hel to review what was wrong with my bank services, and was told it had to do with my telephone. Someone told me he will solve it for me and nothing happened. then and offer from your company offer that for the amount of $ 122,536.76 colombian pesos you will solve my problem and i have never accepted that charge, however you chaged me for that amount. I want my money back.

I did not receive service provided from your company. I paid my $1.00 three times, spent lengthy periods of time on hold. I finally got fed up after the 3rd time on hold and did not try for a 4th time. I have now received a notice that I am being charged $46.00 for a months fee. I was not advised of this fee nor did I ask for it. I did receive a notice yesterday (April 12) about this “monthly” billing.

Unfortunately, my deposit from my account had not been posted at that time.

I do live on Medicare and a supplemental monthly stipend. I am not pleased with the service I got and would not recommend this company if asked today.

Desired outcome: Please take me off your client list and drop the $46.00 charge. Unfortunately my direct deposit did not arrive until after your billing. Therefore, I do ask that you do not try to bill me again.

JustAnswer Refund not received.

Hello,

I contacted JustAnswer support and asked for a refund for my $60 that was taken and they agreed. I was told to wait for 3-5 business days but now it's been more than almost 2 weeks already. I have emailed them but they kept answering in a "ignoring" way like dodging my statement and when I emailed them the 5th time or so they stopped replying to me. Please help.

JustAnswer Being charged for no service

Back in Feb I rang to see what I could do with my new wirlpool washing machine which appeared to be overflowing. I received no answer although there was someone there. I was told an answer would cost $1 and I agreed but then you sneakily cahrged me $49 and have been charging me every month. I received no service and have told my bank to dishonour the payment. I request you credit me $49 at least or I go to the media and al the social platforms and friend not to have anything to do with your so called company.

JustAnswer Question to so-called "Turbo Tax expert" who turned out to be a Just Answer agent.!

I Googled a "Turbo Tax Expert" to get an answer to a question re my online Turbo Tax filing. When I got an agent, I explained the information needed and he said I would have to talk to a Turbo Tax expert and gave me an 800 telephone number, I THOUGHT I WAS TALKING TO A "TURBO TAX EXPERT"! I could have gotten that number easily on my own.

For that I was charged $2.00 and after my question, they added another $71 charge which was LABELLED AS A a membership fee which I I NEVER ASKED FOR!

I talked to an agent to complain and asked for a credit for the $71 charge and was told they could not comply - the charge is non-refundable.

Desired outcome: A full credit on my Visa of $71.

JustAnswer I was scammed it said 1$ then i was charge 35$

Yes I signed up to talk to vet because I thought my dog might be poisoned.

The next day I was charged 35$ so I called and told them about it and the guy was like well if you weren’t informed about 35$ charge I will take it off I was like great!

So he started asking me questions no problem then he started asking me really personal stuff and more personal stuff that had nothing to do with me signing up to there site so I said hey whats with all these weird off the wall personal questions he said if I didnt want a refund then hang up I was like I want a refund so he started asking me more even personal questions that set a red flag off and I said im uncomfortable answering these wayyy too personal of questions he got ugly with me and I hung up and I sent him a message saying how uncomfortable he made me and its not right I dont get a refund if I didnt answer them. He wrote me back straight up this is what he said

[censored] you [censored]! I have never been treated so poorly from a business in my life I was beyond offended.. Thats not the last though… well a week later I checked my bank statement and I had 3 weird charges I never authorized and they were to sites like the just answer site so this pos hacked my credit card to be spiteful and started sighing me up to different sites soooo not cool thievery is bs!

If he would message me vulger things and hack my card is he gonna come to my house and hurt me?

I am fearful now because he was very mean angry and nasty to me

JustAnswer Unauthorised credit card charges

Went to their website and was of the belief that it was a $2 charge that was fully refundable. Then straight after chatting with the bot, not the doctor mind you, just the bot. I was directed to the page to download their app. Only then did I see the reviews. I quickly looked at my bank and saw 75 dollars taken without me knowing. Rang trying to get a refund and the lady said since I've spoken to the doctor I can not get a refund. Rang my bank and they said they know this website and have had many calls regarding this same exact issue. They said it's very unlikely that I will get my money back but they will try.

JustAnswer An unauthorised charge to my Mastercasrd account.

Yesterday (March 27) I sought trouble-shooting help from the Hewlett-Packard website regarding my HP printer. I ended up agreeing to pay $2 for advice I was about to receive, but was then informed, without any consultation, that I would be billed a further $70, to be repeated monthly, for ongoing technical help. I spent the rest of the afternoon trying unsuccessfully to reverse this unauthorised charge and subsequently discovered that both amounts had been taken from my Westpac Mastercard account under the name of “Just Answer”, an organisation I had never heard of. An 86-year-old pensioner, I use my printer only occasionally and have no need of ongoing technical help. I believe I am owed an apology and a $70 refund.

Desired outcome: A refund of the $70 taken from my Mastercard account without authorisation.

I paid a $1 charge that was for a limited time got a horrible response so I went to cancel They wanted to charge me $30 for a letter that would be sent to me to fill out for the cancelation. I went to the card website that I used and they had already posted a charge of $30 to my card. I got online with someone who said they would help me and they sent back to sign up again for another subscription

They are one big RIP OFF

Billing scam. Same story as others. Checking my credit card statement I found I’ve been paying $46 a month for a full year for a service i didn’t use. Of course I take responsibility for unknowingly signing up and not checking my credit card statements, though I was ill and hospitalized during that time. I called today 3/26/23. After conversations with two people, they said their “policy” was 90 day refunds only. It’s interesting they had to make a policy to address duped and overbilled customers.

But this is supposedly a place with Tech Experts! They should be able to verify that I never used it and do the right thing. Poor business practices and customer service are obvious.

JustAnswer Multiple charges on my account

Hello there,

I’ve reached out to Just Answer on January 20th in regards to a disfunction with my car. I’ve submitted a charge of $ 5.00 to get help which was lightly helpful. However, I was not aware that I signed up for a monthly membership so I feel I was tricked into a membership which I would never do. I believe the business practises are highly questionable so was the responds from the operator who took my call. In basic, after I cancelled my “membership” today, I was told that I’ll not receive a rebate on my purchase since I was on a membership (again…I didn’t knew about that) I would like that someone would look into this company as it feels to me as a fraud!

Desired outcome: Can someone please look into this company scam so others don’t get financial hurt by scams like that?

JustAnswer Signed up for membership without my knowledge

Complete scam and I regret wasting my time. I sought out help for my daughter and paid the $5 to ask a question just for them to tell me to give her a pain pill and sent me on my way. Woke up the next morning to see a $46 charge for a membership I had no idea I was signed up for. Of course I reached out but was told I would not be refunded since my question was answered. Yes telling me to give my 8 year old ibuprofen and Tylenol was very helpful information that I told them I was already doing! Never again.

JustAnswer I had spent 45 Euro for nothing.

I am complaning about an incident that happened on Friday 17/3/2023 in which I had contacted the "Just Answer" people That I had problems with my WhatsApp application. They advertise that I have to pay only 1 euro to be helped. And I agreed and came a man he asked me and I told him what the problems were. He instructed me to make changes on the computer but it didn't help. And days later I looked at my bank notice there were 45 euro for your company, Just Answer deducted. I don't understand this (1) it was agreed for just 1 euro and without any notice it just went to 45 euro? how is it possible he didn't even inform me that the price would jump to 45 euro. He didin't even help me solve the problem I have.

I was seeking legal counsel, a link on Google redirected me to this website and it indicated for a question to be answered I just had to pay 1 euro which was fully refundable.

I was charged 1 Euro and 45 Euro immediately after this. My Questions were not even answered by an actual human. He didin't even help me solve the problem that I had.

Desired outcome: Please refund the 45 Euro I spend.

JustAnswer Unauthorised charges taken from my bank account.

They have charged my bank card with £38 for membership which I did not agree to or request. They previously charged me for answering a question which was paid by me, £5, but I did not agree to a membership. I have today asked them to reverse this charge and they have declined.

Just Ask (Doctor) answered my problem at the time which was very helpful and were paid for the information so I cannot understand why they would assume that I would like a membership of you site.

There are numerous reviews on UK Trustpilot all complaining of the same thing, being fraudulently misled and being signed up for a service which me the customer did not ask for. Outrageous.

Desired outcome: Was signed up AUTOMATICALLY to pay £38 a month. Have since looked at reviews on Trustpilot and this is the most complained about service, that they sign you up with further recourse to the client.

JustAnswer Online fraud - unauthorized credit card charges

I asked a question for which I was asked after chating with a bot to pay a $1 fee for assistance. I willingly did. The bot redirected me to another bot that was supposedly the technician that would help me solve my problem. Then a paywall for another $39 appeared, which I believe was a membership fee and which I refused. I explicitly stated in the chat box that I am opting out and do not wish to receive assistance any more.

My card was still charged for $47 dollars. I contacted my bank to alert them on the fraudulent transaction and I froze my card.

I subsequently answered one of their many emails that had already flooded my inbox asking for reviews, but I only received a generic email reply sent by another bot, and when I opted to talk to customer care, yet another fake bot by the name pearl wilson (I looked her up on the internet and she only exists on justask, sometimes as a veterinarian's assistant, sometimes as a lawyer's assistant, sometimes as an expert's assistant) started chatting with me until I mentioned my attorney and litigating, at which point she was unavailable and the chat shut off.

I then received an email by a jeff cavellini, likely a real person, who claims my membership is cancelled and I will not be charged again.

Desired outcome: I want the fraudsters to be held legally accountable and the public to be protected from this scam website.
