I been waitin' for a year for repairs
I been waitin' for a year for repairs. Always a run around on who fixes what. Truly wish I woulda bought from someone else!
We moved into our new home 4 days ago
We moved into our new home 4 days ago. I checked the house before the guys came to work on the inside. Three guys showed up a week ago to work on the inside and they were really good. I told them what I wanted done and they did most of it. There were a few small things they missed on the walls, but it's not a big deal because I can fix the paint myself. I made some customizations to the house, especially in the kitchen. Since I just moved in, I won't mention any repairs needed yet. I'll give Kabco some more time to come and fix the issues. I had some problems with another company in Bossier City too. I'll wait and see what happens. But things aren't looking great so far. Hopefully Kabco will see this and send their crew to make the repairs.
We've been living in our house since May and it's been a nightmare
We've been living in our house since May and it's been a nightmare. The floors have nails sticking out, which have caused the tiles to break. The tiles are also popping off all over the place. The drawers are all wonky and uneven. The outside doors don't close properly. Every room has cracked drywall. When we moved in, the counters were not properly attached to the wall. There are even chunks of tiles missing. The tiles on the floor were haphazardly placed and are all uneven. To make matters worse, there are staples and nails sticking out of the baseboards. One of the floorboards is visible through the tiles. Even the tiles on the shower wall are coming off. The grout in the shower is unfinished and looks terrible. And don't get me started on the ugly transition strip on the ceiling that keeps falling down. It's worth mentioning that their website falsely portrays the look of the home I bought. There are no strips on the ceiling, it's actually smooth without any floating strips. The master bedroom door is broken too. When we moved in, the carpets were covered in Sheetrock dust and I can't seem to get it all out. Even the boards in the master closet cabinet have fallen off. I filed a complaint with the company, but they never bothered to contact me back. I spent a whopping $156,000 on this house and it's been a complete waste. I just want everything fixed properly. The Sheetrock patching they did is a disaster. It's all uneven and doesn't blend in at all. The insulation is also terrible. I come home to a scorching 75 degrees even with the air conditioning set to 69. The heat just pours in through the vent hood. It's ridiculous that I have to spend 10 minutes every day trying to get my back door to shut properly because of the poor construction. It's a safety hazard, especially since I have kids. Anyone could just walk in at any time. The website made the house look amazing, but the finished product is far from it. I just want my house fixed properly and to actually look like it does on the website.

I bought a house from Kabco Builders, Inc
I bought a house from Kabco Builders, Inc. in *** and there are some problems that I reported on 1/1/23 that need to be fixed. It's now 4/21/23 and I keep getting the runaround, with them saying they can't approve it until the purchase order is approved or that someone will be in my area soon. Three weeks ago today, I called about these problems and was told that a contractor has been hired and they will be there next week. I haven't seen or heard from anyone. It's really frustrating because one of the problems is a leak from the bathroom that is ruining the floor, wall, and carpet. I paid a lot of money for this house and they're not fixing their problems.
Kabco Builders, Inc
Kabco Builders, Inc. built a terrible product. The craftsmanship and workmanship were awful, with missing parts and pieces. The electrical work doesn't even function properly, and the countertops are broken. The floor tiles were damaged from the factory, and the list of problems just keeps going. We sent our warranty list on January 8th, 2022, and they promised to fix the issues. However, the person they sent to fix them only made things worse and spent about 10 hours on site. We reached out to Kabco, and they assured us that two repairmen would make a return visit from April 12th to the 19th. But now they've contacted us saying they'll arrive on the 13th, leave on the 14th, and put us in the "next cycle." Usually, the next cycle is at least another month away. They don't return our calls or respond to our written messages.

I bought a home from Kabco Builders, Inc
I bought a home from Kabco Builders, Inc. in May . We moved in on September 27th. Since then, we've had a lot of problems with the floor and the ceiling. The floor is all messed up, and the ceiling looks like it's falling apart where they put the two halves together. We've called them many times to come and fix it, but it took them forever to send someone. Finally, this guy named *** came to check it out. He showed up months after we complained. He said they would need to send a crew to fix the problems. When we asked him when they would come, he said he had no clue. He didn't seem to care at all. I've spent so much money on this house, and it's not fair that they don't care about their work. I really hope they come and fix everything soon.
I bought my home in October and I just got it in August
I bought my home in October and I just got it in August . I can't move in yet. There are gaps in the walls and mildew in my cabinets because water got in and messed up my ceiling and cabinets during the move. My cabinets are falling apart and the counters can be lifted up because they weren't installed properly. The trim work is stacked on top of each other and the flooring is coming up near the cabinets. There's a hole in my wall and the trim work doesn't fit flush against the wall. I have pictures and I called the dealership to have the manufacturer come and fix it so I can move in. I want my home to be worth the money I spent on it. I'm still in the construction phase of the loan because of the repairs that need to be done and how long it took to build. The home looks like it was rushed to get it out the door and I'm almost ready to get a lawyer.
We thought this was a good home
We thought this was a good home. Well, boy was the dealer wrong! 3 weeks after delivery, the drywall ceiling joints are cracking. No tape. Cabinets are less than poor. Countertops are butchered. Receptacles are popping out of the walls. Doors are all dragging. 3 exterior doors, 2 with deadbolts that don't work, 1 with just a k***. Interior trim work is falling off, no glue, 1 or 2 nails. The refrigerator is the smallest made. There is no exterior house wrap between the vinyl and plywood as advertised. Interior doors are paper. Hinges are of poor quality. Plumbing access panels are cracked up drywall. The shingled roof is full of tar staple patches. OSB plywood chips are showing through the vinyl flooring. Vinyl flooring is coming up. Plumbing fixtures are plastic and loose. This is just 3 weeks after arrival. More to come, I'm sure. All for $185,000.00. Supposed to be high-end. Haha. This home is of lower quality and workmanship than a $90k doublewide. We're stuck with it, but if you're in the process of buying, purchase any brand but Kabco.
My double wide mobile home was delivered in December and right away there were a bunch of things that weren't right or needed fixing
My double wide mobile home was delivered in December and right away there were a bunch of things that weren't right or needed fixing. I've talked to them so many times and we've made appointments over 5 times. They only showed up once to fix things for 2 days, but then they left after just 1 day and never came back (even though we made new appointments through Kabco). The biggest problem is the cabinets. They put in a lower quality cabinet when I actually ordered and paid for better ones. There are other issues too, like there's only 1 fan in the living room, there's debris under the floors, the cabinets were scratched when they arrived, you can see the connections of the sheet rock on the ceiling, the toilet keeps running, there's no molding on the floor in the living room and master bedroom like I asked for, there's no ceiling molding in the master bedroom, the AC has frozen twice already, the shower doors need adjusting, there are gaps in the floor all over the house, the kitchen sink arrived discolored and it's getting worse, and trim pieces are falling off in a bunch of places and the skirting blows off with even the slightest wind.
I bought a house on 7/19/2022 from Plant #2 huds *** SER# KB0215925AB23 Model - 26
I bought a house on 7/19/2022 from Plant #2 huds *** SER# KB0215925AB23 Model - 26. They told us not to move in until the repairs are done. *** told us this. The problem is, Kabco said it will take 8 to 10 weeks to do the repairs. I tried to contact Kabco for a timeline, but I'm not getting any answers. We have a list of issues, like the back door leaking when it rains. One bedroom is not level, so we can't put furniture in it. The smoke detector doesn't work even after I put in new batteries; it just keeps beeping. There are s*** holes in the top of the formica that need to be replaced. The marriage line on the home is spliced because they installed flooring on top of the floor. It needs to be cut and spliced properly. We bought this house with the intention of living in it, but so far we've paid for a month and can't live here. It looks like we'll be homeless for a while until Kabco decides to come and make this house livable.
I bought a new home from Prestige Homes in *** and moved in July 2022
I bought a new home from Prestige Homes in *** and moved in July 2022. Right now, I have (20) problems with the house that need fixing. I keep being told that I'm on the list and someone will come when they're in the area. But it's now Feb 2023 and no one has come to fix anything. Here's a list of the issues:
1. The back wall in the laundry room has a bulge.
2. The window in the master bedroom is broken.
3. The cover for the light in the master closet is missing.
4. Some floor tiles have holes, cuts, and nail heads.
5. The kitchen island is not put together correctly.
6. The outlet in the living room doesn't work.
7. The bathroom roof has leaked, causing a discolored ceiling.
8. Both bathroom subfloors are coming up, but one is not even.
9. The subfloor in the living room is coming up and not even.
10. The kitchen cabinet drawers are not wide enough to fit the tracks. Only one side will go in, and the other won't reach all three drawers.
11. The trim in the master bath is broken on the sink corner.
12. There's a crack in the ceiling of the living room.
13. The doors don't close easily, and the trim around them is not straight.
14. The trim is not put on correctly in some places.
15. The back door doesn't seal well and has a draft.
16. The wall is bulging out in front of the house.
17. The closet door in the Aspen's room is coming apart.
18. The HVAC duct leaks air.
19. The kids' bathtub faucet has a problem.
20. It sounds like water is dripping on top of the fireplace when it rains.
I've also attached some photos, but that's not all the issues, just some of them!
We bought our MD-26 more than a year ago
We bought our MD-26 more than a year ago. We were told to make a list of things that needed fixing. We're still waiting for those things to be fixed. The fireplace can't be used because the vent is wrong. There are holes in the carpet. We were told the carpet crew works on weekends, but we haven't heard anything from them. I don't want the holes patched up, I want new carpet or tile like in the kitchen. I didn't pay for patched-up holes. Most of the siding has paint that won't come off. We were told it needs to be replaced, but no one has done it yet. We had to replace the kitchen faucet and bathtub faucet because they were leaking. Now we found a big leak in the shower that has been leaking since we bought it because a fitting wasn't tightened. That caused black mold on the sheetrock, which we had to replace. None of the trim work or tile work has caulking. You can see the light from the utility room in the living room and bedrooms because of the lack of trim, and it keeps going. My husband has called many, many times and all they say is that we're on the list. What list? The list of things not getting done? I'm completely unsatisfied. I work at an RV dealership and I can honestly say that if we did business like this, people would be fired left and right. The customer should be the top priority in a business.
Kabco Builders, Inc
Kabco Builders, Inc. has been a huge mistake for my husband and me. We ordered our home in February , expecting it to be delivered within 5-6 months. However, a year later, the home finally arrived on our land. From day 1, we have been dealing with numerous issues. In March 2022, we submitted a 2-page list of problems, but no one has come to fix our home yet. Every day, we still face issues. Whenever it rains, our back door floods the house. The entire house feels like it was haphazardly put together. Nails and seams are popping up all over the flooring. The trim is uneven and not properly caulked. Today, we discovered a burst water pipe, causing the whole underbelly to fill with water. We can't even take a shower because we had to turn off the water. The grout in the shower is falling out and missing. The cabinets came with scratches, and the trim keeps coming off. The countertop is a disaster, with repaired spots everywhere. It's not even properly attached on the bar side of the island. The list of issues could go on and on. Kabco contacted us once, promising to fix everything within 10 days in July. However, it's now September, and we haven't seen or heard from them. This situation is beyond disappointing and completely unacceptable. We only have a year to report and fix any problems, but if they don't even show up to address the issues we report, what are we supposed to do? It's even more frustrating considering we have two children and another one on the way.
