WARNING*****KARPLUS WAREHOUSE PACOIMA*****WARNING
I know I told them I will not give them a bad review, but after thinking about it, I owe it to you, the consumer to know that there is not a SINGLE deal at KARPLUS, the whole operation is just a schism, mainly by the BANKS to get you into debt with something below average.
On April 21 2016 my mother and I arrived to KARPLUS in Pacoima around 5:30pm, after having received a large hard paper advertising with a key on it, and inflated words of their great sale with the possibility of wining a free vehicle and other prices. The add was impressive and it looked expensive.
My mother has Alzeimer’s confined to a wheelchair, and I try to get her out often, so she will feel not confined at home all the time. KARPLUS been close by, and the possibility of a free gift, guaranteed to everyone who comes by (A Walmart gift card with no money on it).
To shorten everything, we drove off on a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic LT for $10, 000 and a $5, 000 financing from an unknown bank, for I was not told. I did not check everything more closely, for I was concerned more for the wellbeing of my mother, Finally at home at 9:30 pm and having taking care of my mother needs and put her to bed, I was able to go through the contract and attached documents, and something did not look right.
First, I looked up the value of the vehicle at KPP, and the price found did not match or came close to what I have paid for the vehicle, I started getting angry, for having been lied to about a honest good deal I was getting. Second, I looked up the vehicle, after going out and taken pictures of the manufacturer information on the vehicle itself. It showed as been manufacture in 2012. But it was sold to me as a 2013, so I looked up the same vehicle, and I found the same VIN number for sale, at the same place where I bought it for $8480.00. I started to look through all the paper work I had, and made copies of it all, front and back. I was sold a manufacture vehicle in 2012 as a 2013 vehicle AS IS, I had signed my waiver for a contract cancellation, and the CARFAX stated 2012 manufacture as history and now as a 2013, been on a major collision, several repair jobs, making the vehicle as a bellow average and deducting $1000.00 from any sale value. I was SCREWED. This is not right.
I started doing more research that led me to the CA Vehicle Code and CA Business and Profession Code.
Just the fact that they have sold me the same VIN# vehicle for a higher price than advertised, gave me the opportunity to return the vehicle. I found they have broken several sections of the Code, by not providing a copy of my credit record, not having offer me a cancelation contract, and most important, having sold me an advertised vehicle (same VIN #) at a higher price.
I had a chance to return the vehicle and get my 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier back, that was given to them as $1000.00 down toward the purchase of their vehicle. I did not go to sleep, all the time was used on reading and printing.
I arrived back at KARPLUS WAREHOUSE at 11:45 am and showed them the copy of the add I have made showing the same VIN# vehicle plus a $200.00 gas card with the sale of the vehicle. I knew for what I have read, that the current contract was not valid and void.
They told me, not to worry, for the mistake on their part, that they will honor the add. There was no sincere apology, and no mention of the gas card on their offer to honor the add. I refused and told them I wanted my car back.
They will not let you research the vehicle while there, they will not tell you the vehicle price until the paperwork is done.
After much discussion, and me pointing out at the letter of the law, they agreed to return my vehicle, provided I give them $500.00 cash, as stipulated on the cancelation contract, that I was never offer. I said no problem. I went home, cashed my Tax return, and added $40.00 toward it, and went back.
I was held hostage for over 5 hours, while my vehicle arrived, during that time they tried very, very, very hard to get me to buy a vehicle, not even offering me a sweet deal because of their screw up.
As I walk through their lot waiting, I notice that none of the vehicle I looked at had a sticker price, all of them had a monthly payment, letting me know, that they can manipulate the final price at their advantage. My recommendation if you go to KARPLUS WAREHOUSE in PACOIMA for their grand sale is: RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! There are no deals there. Only a GARANTEED trip to more debt.
Deposit on discovered UNSAFE car!
These people are terrible, and are willing to put teenage drivers in unsafe non roadworthy cars... Only after a lot of persuading on my part I made them check the car before I picked it up, low and behold it was deemed unsafe and they were unable to sell it to me, thankfully I have some car knowledge and knew what to ask and what to look for in a decent car.
Now after being on the phone all day and passed around they are refusing to give back my $1000 deposit unless I go in there, by the way is an 1 hour round trip. Unbelievably obnoxious and rude, maybe they don't like women who have some car knowledge?
Awful Company, Awful Humans. Run for your life.
I bought a Toyota Prius from this awful establishment. I'm shocked they are in business to be honest with you. I'm going to post some pictures below that basically sum up what you get when you buy a car from KarPlus Warehouse Inc.:
-MOLD INFESTED (Undisclosed)
-FLOOD DAMAGE (Undisclosed)
-TRASH FILLED
-DIRT RIDDEN
-WRONG SIZED & UNMATCHING TIRES/WHEELS
It's disgusting how this place operates. My souls screams at the thought of the existence of this place, these people, and how they treat, lie and deceive good, hardworking, American people.
Frankly, these people need help.

*PURCHASED UNDER 2 MONTHS AGO*
*NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS*
I would never purchase a car from this place or recommend it to friends.
This is the 2nd time I've had to write a poor review, even after they "FIXED" the original problems with the car.
DIRTY CARS:
-Karplus sold me a car that was so dirty that I had to request Karplus do ANOTHER complete detail after I already paid $100 for a pro detail (after paying $13k for a car).
UNETHICAL ADVERTISING:
-Karplus does the bait and switch.
-They put expensive rims on the car in their picture then swap them with lowest possible quality when your on your way to test drive and tell you they were just hub caps when you get there (if your quick enough to catch their scam). After realizing the scam they pulled (after buying it) I asked the manager, Ken, to please put the proper/advertised rims on the car. They only agreed to do it because they needed my car (2 months after buying it) because they didn't properly do the smog check. Great, I'm finally going to have a clean car that was advertised in the picture. I wish it was that simple.
TOOK MY CAR AND RETURNED IT BROKEN
-Karplus had to inconvenience me after buying it so they could do a smog check because apparently they don't do what they are suppose to do to a car before you buy it.
-Two days later I get the car back. 3 rims match. 1 doesn't.
-TIRE PRESSURE INDICATOR ON
-Karplus took my car. Put 4 wrong sized, non-matching TIRES on my car causing obviously an imbalance in the air pressure and the light to come in (that a mechanic had to point out to me with concern)
Well guess what dealing with Karplus gives you:
FLAT TIRE ON PCH FRIDAY 5pm!
NO SPARE TIRE IN CAR EITHER :)!
Fraud Dealership
Wow, what can I say about this place other than I have filed complaints against them and Karplus Warehouse with every State and Federal Agency there is and will taking them to an Unlimited Civil Court Case. They are currently being investigated by the Department of Consumer Affairs for major violations. Friendly? Nope, not at all! The general manager Robert Baghoomian stated "She is the least of my concerns; if she wants to take me to court then so be it, we have lawyers that will rip her to shreds". How disgusting is this? I gave Karplus Warehouse $7000.00 down payment CASH for a nightmare piece of crap Nissan Armada. For crying out loud the vehicle did not even have a horn; which of course is a safety mechanism and a violation of State Law. If I was you I would take my money, family and run the other direction. Just because you might think they are the last resort, well there are other options. If anyone has ever been "screwed over" by Karplus and Sun Valley Auto Care, they are more than welcome to contact me and I will include you in a class action lawsuit against them. Corporations like that should NOT be allowed to take advantage of consumers like us. BTW the owner of Karplus Ali Modarresi not only owns Karplus but Discount Finance and Sun Valley Auto Care. Talking about really getting one over on you!

Can you plz contact me.. I need help
DO NOT GIVE KAR PLUS OR DISCOUNT FINANCE ANY OF YOUR MONEY OR INFORMATION.
My mother was"sold" a car here in Feb 2010, the reason for the quotes will become apparent soon.. My mother is 58 years old and was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2007, her condition fluctuates from okay/good to bad all the time (especially when she hasn't eaten, of course).
She knew she was going to be getting some money from a small settlement.
She began looking for a car online and somehow Kar Plus Warehouse got a hold of her information, after that they proceeded call her a nonstop multiple times a day, added her as a friend and messaged her on social networking sites and sent her continuous emails. In these phone calls and messages they promised her the world, regardless of her credit they would take car of her and she would be able to get a nice car for a reasonable price.
I know the words "nice" and "reasonable price" are subjective but after not having a car for a year and a half and relying on other people to get you to all her doctors appointments or the store she was pretty desperate. The sharks smelled blood in the water from miles away.
After a month of two of nonstop bombardment and borderline stalking these people pressure/convince my mom into coming in just to look at a few cars. They offered to come pick her up at her house and give her a ride there(how nice). Seeing how she didn't have a car and Kar Plus Warehouse is over 30 minutes away from her house she couldn't very well walk and no one else was available to drive her she took them up on their offer.
Since she knows little to nothing about cars and I wasn't around during all of this so she brought my 18 year old brother with her. For physical protection this was good if anything shady were to happen to her but in regards to knowing anything about cars or how sleazy used car salesmen operate he didn't offer much protection.
After 4 hours of looking around both of Kar Plus' lots with an incompetent salesman and trying to figure out what they might be able to do my mom starts showing noticeable signs that she hasn't eaten or taken medication since that morning. Confusion, fatigue, the standard low blood sugar symptoms but slightly more pronounced. Not only did they not offer to take her anywhere to get something to eat, all they had in the office was coffee, which would have only made the problem worse. This guy continues to push and sell her on the "great deal" of a "Certified" 05 dodge stratus for $2, 600 down at 26% interest.. So a car that was grossly overpriced to begin with $8, 050 would actually cost $15, 800 if by some miracle she paid it off in her lifetime. Triple the Kelley Blue Book Value on a "good" condition, which I don't even think it is.
At this point her and my brother just want to go home so my mom tells the Kar Plus salesman that she needs some time to look around and think about it. The guy tells her that this deal isn't going to be available tomorrow, but she still says she needs to think it over.
So Mr. Salesman who was so nice to come pick her up says "alright well you go home, think it over and call me tomorrow."
Sounds like she's out of a ride but no they wouldn't do that right? So she asks this guy when he'll be able to take her and my brother back home, he tells her he has a couple coming in to look at a car in a little so he'll go find another employee to take them home. Apparently no one was around right now that could leave for 30+ mins to take them home. He said something to the effect of "if you wait we'll find someone" but it was obvious that wasn't going to happen.
This was the deciding factor in my mother buying the car, the fact that the people who picked her up to "look" at cars looked like they weren't going to take her home.
Now I don't know exactly what happened after this point because as I said she hadn't eaten of taken her medication in a very long time so she doesn't remember a lot of details about the actual contract signing and purchasing of the car.
The bottom line being that she bought the car for the aforementioned price "as is" + $800 for a GAP contract + $800 for a non existent optional anti theft device. I know that people get screwed all the time at car dealerships in terms of pricing and interest rates so that's not what I'm so angry about it's everything leading up to and that happened on that day that irks me.
This is only half of the story...
This car has had nothing but problems. We'd replaced all the tires within months of buying the car, headlights too. The back seat isn't even connected to the car so when you hit the brakes the whole thing slides unless someone heavy enough is sitting in it. The first problem happened within a couple weeks of buying the car, her and I took the car back to Kar Plus and asked grease slicked haired gentleman with braces if we could take it to their service department to have it looked at. We were informed that they don't have a garage on site they send all their customers to an outside mechanic(yeah sounds like the "finance company" they used). I asked to speak with the manager and he wasn't available at the moment.
We were not going to get anywhere with these people so we had the problem fixed by our mechanic(I'd have to look up in our records what the first problem was, nothing major yet). This type of thing went on constantly until Jan 2011, a little under a year since she bought the car the motor blows up. We let Kar Plus know that the "certified" car they sold us has finally broke down completely and they really have nothing to say since the car was bought "as is". We take it to the mechanic and he says it's going to be $2, 700 for a used motor.
Fast forward 7 months later, after 4 attempts at putting used motors in the car, several trips to the dodge dealership the car doesn't run or the engine light comes on and shortly after stops running. So my mom's mechanic who's she's gone to for over 13 years decides to get a rebuilt engine directly from dodge that actually seems to work so we got the car back less than a week ago and yesterday the exact same thing that happened to the first motor in the beginning happened to the new one. We had it towed to the mechanic and have to go see him later today.
The mechanic took a major hit on the first job, since the original estimate is what he charged even though he worked on it for months and bought 4 used and 1 rebuilt engine that had to have cost more than what we paid. It all came out of his pocket.
During this time Discount Finance and Kar Plus did nothing to help with the car that didn't run and my mom kept making the payments every month until one month she couldn't. They contacted her stating that they were going to come repossess the car because she was behind. She told them that the car has not ran in 6 months at this time and she's trying her best to pay what she can. She was supposed to be on a payment plan but never was. The lady acted like this was the first they'd heard that the car was a non op and reduced the payments(slightly) for the last month it was in the shop.
She is so stressed out about this that she can't sleep, when she doesn't sleep her condition worsens. All she wants is just to be rid of this nightmare, she tells me at least once a day she wishes she never bought it. Kar Plus is the worst business that my family or I have ever dealt with. They are crooked and will do or say anything they can to squeeze the last cent out of their victims. No one is off limits to these people, they'd rip your sick grandmother off if they got the chance and probably their own mothers while they're at it.
If I have to gather all the unhappy customers and picket out side their business I will. PLEASE DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.
I apologize for the massive post, Ninnabi if you're serious about a lawsuit and you think we would be able to join please let me know how to get that done. I feel horrible for my mom and wish there was something more I could do.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYBODY TO BUY A CAR FROM KARPLUS! Most especially to those people that has credit challenged. I myself bought a car from them and made it a great buying experience regardless of my credit.

For this unhappy buyer, I myself is an owner of a truck from karplus that I purchase 7 months ago. I maybe lucky enough to have purchase so far a reliable vehicle. I came from a long way in Ventura and have to arrange transportation to come to karplus. Prior to that I have done my homework by checking reviews and availability of this specific truck that I am looking for and the best option was that of Karplus inventory. I arrange for one of my friends who lived near the dealership to check the vehicle for me and I was lucky enough that he was a mechanic as well. After a go signal from him, transaction went well and smooth. As my experience, I hope that every buyer should do necessary research and mechanical checkup before buying. One step would not hurt your buying process. Trust me you will be the winner at the end.

I was potentially the owner of a vehicle from Karplus. It was suggested that I hired an inspection company to check out the vehicle for me since I live in Idaho and the vehicle is in California. The Inspection report indicated that the vehicle was in good working order, but the inspector was not able to check the function-ability of the tow apparatus due to safety reasons by their associate. I was assured in e-mail by the Credit Manager that the tow apparatus worked and that the Store Manager "will guarantee it if it does not work". So I secured the financing and a buyers agreement was initiated. I wired a deposit to hold the vehicle until I could make it to Pacoima the following week and my financial institution was on board to wire the full amount once I reached Pacoima and finalized the deal. I booked a one-way flight to arrive early to make sure that the deal would be completed so I could being the return trip home the same day. Two days before I was to take ownership, I was contacted by Karplus that the tow apparatus was not functioning (as promised) and that it was going to cost a lot to get it working and that their plans was to return the vehicle to the auction placed they received it from. I was not given a chance to make a decision with regard the matter, they simply stated that the vehicle was no longer on their lot and that they would return my deposit. I requested information of where the vehicle transferred so I could possibly deal with the auction place, but no one had any clue and everyone was very evasive. In my numerous phone calls to Karplus, I've been told that the individuals that I wanted to talk to were busy and the messages left for a return phone call, most were disregarded and I would have to call back, in fact I am still waiting to hear from someone right now. I gone so far as requesting to talk specifically to the owner (whom I found this individuals name) to no avail. I advised anyone looking to deal with Karplus to watch yourself. I've purchased 10 vehicles in the last six years and have never been treated as wrongly as I have with Karplus. Their poor customer relations and the fact of breaching a contract contradicts their slogan of "Where the Circle of Trust Begins"
Contract
karplus sold me a car without being officially approved by a bank, then 2 wks later they said i needed a co-signer. i couldnt provide one so they requested that i take the car back, which i tried to do. Then they said i was lying and so was my mom about having to take the car back. They mistreated me and got me approved by a bank that I didn't want to go with and right now they are still trying to find more banks, despite the fact of me not wanting the car anymore (especially after being mistreated by them). I called and even the sales manager from Pacoima, Ca. hung up on me over the phone. I already filled out a complaint with consumer affairs in downtown L.A. I would not recommend to anyone in buying their vehicles or doing any kind of business with them. They are currently trying to force the car to be mine...
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Karplus screwed me and my wife and sold of a piece of crap that had problems the next day we took it home, now the car won't even go past 20 miles an hour and they are telling us "do what you have to do"...I want to be apart of the class action suite against Karplus, who must I contact?

I disagree, I purchased a car from karplus 5 months ago which i financed, after 2 days the salesman called me and told me that i need to come down to finalize the paperworks. I was at first upset of the situation why would i have to come back? Anyways I came down the next day and to my surprise th finance manager told my my rate was lowered and my payments went down. They even gave me a free car wash.I was so very happy. He explained they always find a way to give buyers the best deal from the lenders. I guess its normal that sometimes there are adjustments from the lender or a deal wont go thru.
Friendly warning - DO NOT buy your car from them!

I bought a car from Kar-Plus the end of March. I have had so many problems with the vehicle. The fist time I went to out gas in the car I noticed there was no gas cap, then the side mirror fell off and had to be replaced, then the ignition froze because of the worn key so they both had to be replaced, with in four months of having the car I've had to put all new tires and now the altinators is out. Friendly warning Do NOT buy your car from them.

This place is horrible, a classic high-pressure churn 'em and burn 'em operation. I came there to see a 2016 Maserati Ghibli. After inspecting the car on the outside, I asked the salesperson to get the keys. I ran it for a bit, then said, "I'd like to take it out." His immediate response was, "We have to run a credit check." No request to see a driver's license, no questions, he went straight to the old "credit check" chestnut. When I told him I was going to pay cash, his response was, "Are you ready to move on this car right now?" When I said I was still in the looking phase, he said, "I'm not going to put any miles on the car unless I have a firm committment." Don't waste your time here, damaged cars, high-pressure tactics. And, the car was damaged, had dents, missing trim, and when I asked if he knew the history, he replied, "It's not a salvage". What a waste of time there. Stay away!
[censor] liar. Flew from san francisco. Came here to buy car. Lincoln mkt livery. Nobody called or message anything. Car was sold before I came in. They called when I was landed at lax airport. If somebody need help I have all the proofs. I bought oneway ticket. This is my number [protected] if someone wants to know.

two words Bad place
I purchased a 2004 IS 300 from San Fernando Rd. branch and I was very happy with my car and the service was impeccable. I went there on a very hot day and Chris ( a filipino salesman that helped me ) already had cold bottled waters waiting for us. He was very professional and polite. I asked about different types of cars for comparison purposes and Chris was very knowledgeable about the pros and cons that helped me made a wise decision on wich car to pick. When we got inside everybody was very warm and welcoming. He introduced us to a couple of his managers and they were nice enough to offer us pizzas and soda. Financing was very easy and they were more than willing to work with me on the numbers considering that I have credit issues. A week later I came back with a friend as a referral and Chris treated him the same. Later that day my friend even told me that he owes me one for taking him to Karplus. I don't know about the unsatisfied customers, but a lot of people have the tendency to expect too much and blow things out of proportion when they don't get what they want. Bottom line don't believe everything you read or hear. God gave you the smarts to decide for yourself. I don't know if you'll get the same service like I did but at least give them a chance. If your not happy for any reason... simply walk out. They don't even have a gate to hold you inside. In most cases you just cant satisfy everyone no matter how hard you try.
Mr. S. Schawb
Do not buy from this place. After agreeing to a price we drove 300 miles there and the manager Mark told us the price we agreed was no longer valid. He said the bank told him he could not sell it for the price he told us before we drove there. Total dirtbag liars. Never buy from there
I bought a Ford Truck from Karplus back in 2001 the truck had 3 different sized tires on it and after bringing it to their attention they fixed it for FREE the same day.
I had no problems with them or my truck until recently, I don't blame them because it is over 7 years later.
I too had purchased a vehicle from Karplus Warehouse. I leased a 2004 Landrover, Freelander back in October of 2006. After one month, I experienced a number a problems with the vehicle. First it began with the engine overheating, after that it had electrical and interior/ exterior problems. After numerous calls and visits the dealership was able to repair some, not all maintenance work. Infact, one of the repairs which was on the list is NOW even worse than what it was before. The owner is also acusing me of creating these problems and now I am taking legal action. I WARN EVERYONE! not to buy from this dealership for they only sell "LEMONS" and they don't care how u get to work or any where else.
i think that no matter where you go, you are prune to have problems. My question is why wasn't this examined through the buyer before the actual purchase? You couldn't check out a carfax report or maybe take an advanced look at the vehicle before you drove off the lot? I'm thinking about purchasing from them but i know that i will make sure that i do my research to make sure that the same thing doesn't happen! please let me know what karplus dealer was this purchased at? what kind of car was it?
