Overtime violation
I'm an employee of Kindercare who's not being paid overtime despite meeting the criteria outlined by the US governments labor regulations. I believe my center director is being pressured to manipulate employees hours to comply with a certain number of labor hours allotted for the entire staff per week. Hoping the outcome moving forward is that staff be paid what they are owed for hours worked and to not demand my director engage in unethical and/or criminal actions in fear of losing her job. I'd also like to not have to file complaints with the labor board or go to court or anything like that.

Sexual abuse victor ny
Early July 2023 my children were forced into this daycare / school, Kindercare in Victor NY. This occurred as a result of a misappropriated family court order which allowed one parent to make this horrible choice for 2 and 3 year old children and my objections mattered not. At first everything seemed okay, (except the fact my children were being taken through the courts of course) but I noticed something early on which raised some flags. The way the rooms are setup, two classrooms share one small bathroom containing three toilets. Nowhere in the bathroom is a child afforded any privacy from others using the bathroom, or from direct view from the classrooms. Yes there were two bathroom doors, but they were always left open. As a parent there a few times I walked in and casually glanced around only to see inappropriate content let's just say, little half naked humans not being taught modesty. After this happened a half dozen times I began to wonder, are these children not being taught to do their business privately? Is it even a consideration? I understand some of these children may need potty help, but seriously, ones that do should be dealt with privately as well, not in a hospital like setting and in full view of everyone else. Am I the only one who thinks modesty should be taught, especially for children? Instead they are being taught it is normal for strange adults to see you naked, even questionable men working in the room. I got my kids out of there as quickly as possible and thank the heavens above because they were begging me not to go anyway, and my spider senses were telling me there was a lot more wrong at this location than meets the eye. The last day there I walked in to see sunscreen products laying on a table at children's height, and nobody paying attention to the fact one little girl just picked up a bottle and sprayed this product directly into her eyes. She began freaking out because of the chemical eye burns, only to have staff not react at all and say, you know, she's fine, it's just soap. I saw enough at that point. I had to tell staff to read the product label and react properly!
Desired outcome: I'd like a full refund.

Fee, tuition, policies.
My boys have been attending kindercare for 6 years. Tuition is constantly increasing and fees are always issued and required to pay within their billing period or they will unenroll students. I have paid $785 more in two months months! I am a single mom as I'm sure alot of parents are, that's not something I can just "afford" like Kindercare excepts. They do not work with you on payments and are quick to issue a late fee of $60. They require a summer fee and a fall registration fee, totaling $375. I don't even know what "summer activities" my boys are participating in. Is the increase in tuition during summer not enough? They do not offer part time, my 6 year old only needs to go 3 days a week but whether he goes 3 or 5 days a week, I have to pay full time tuition. I am a single mom and 100% depend on my boys going to daycare so I can work. It blows my mind that kindercare keep rasing their tuition and fees and is not willing to offer part time to help decrease expenses on parents.
On top of the tuition and fees, they can no longer give children medicine unless they have a doctor's note! So if a child has a minor need for tylenol, they will not give it to them and will be asked to pick them up.
Kindercare Corporation does not care about the parents of the students that attend their centers. I absolutely do not recommend Kindercare! As a parent we all know that daycares are supposed to be their to help parents and provide the trust and security that we desire when they have our children, not cause stress on their finances and ability to work. It's ridiculous!
The staff at Kindercare is like family to us and is only reason I have not left. My childern know them and they know my childern. When I express finding a new daycare, my boys get upset and say no. I feel trapped bewteen giving my childern the comfort they deserve and finding what fits my life as a single mom. Eventually I will have no choice but to leave Kindercare.
I feel sorry for the staff because they are the ones that have to deal with the dissatisfaction from parents. Kindercare Corporation offers no compassion, no empathy, no understanding, nothing. It's a horrible corporation. I understand the increase in tuition as liability goes up as well as the cost of goods they need to serve the students but all these additional unnecessary policies and fees are not ok. I have spoken to teachers in the past and while tuition keeps increasing, their pay does not. They deserve more and I believe they would be happier individuals if they had more incentives. I could go on. Bottom line: don't chose kindercare as your childcare provider, it's a trap unless you can handle the chaos that fees, tuition, and inconvenient policies they enforce.
I was very disappointed to experience such disrespect during my phone call with the director of clementon kindercare
I was very disappointed to experience such disrespect during my phone call with the director of Clementon KinderCare, I believe the center needs to replace the director immediately. On Thursday Jan 19, 2023 I was getting off work around 6:00pm when I received a phone call from the daycare, I was contacted by the Director who was extremely rude, she lashed out in a harsh tone saying that I needed to pick up my son, the court order in front of her states this. I was confused by the call and let her know I was unaware of what she was talking about, I never received a revised court order that changed my visits. The original order stated that I am given
Wed-Thurs morning, which mean I drop him off to daycare Thursday morning. My next allotted time is not until Fri- Sunday. However what the director was reading to me states that I am to have him from Wed-Sun. Now had I known of the new changes I would not have dropped him off that particular morning due to my expected work schedule for Thursday. I tried to explain to her that I am being completely blindsided by all of this new information and unfortunately I am nowhere close. I was in north NJ, and it would take me 2 hours to get to daycare from my current position. She showed no empathy or compassion to my current situation, she continues on to tell me that this isn't her problem, and she has somewhere to be. She recited that their rule states that the child has to be picked up by 6pm and if not by 6:30pm the police will be involved. I then questioned why is it necessary to have them involved, this is not a no show situation, I expressed that I am being compliant, and I am on my way as well as trying to find someone to get to you sooner. I also apologized again that I did not know about the new order and I'm not sure why I did not receive a letter in the mail. I live in Phila. PA, NJ family court has in the past taken down and incorrect address and not sent me very important information. I also questioned why she believe it was necessary to talk to me in such a manner, I did nothing wrong and in fact I am trying to resolve this issue.
The entire conversation she spoke with such an intimidating and condescending tone. None the less she continues to tell me none of this is business of hers, and she doesn't have time for this, she is a very important person, a director who has a lot to do. I felt as if me being African American played apart, and she believed she can speak to me however she wanted to. I do not believe that if this was a Caucasian couple the situation would have been taken to this extreme. I doubt the police would have been called, especially knowing I'm enroute and on the phone with you, as well as trying to find someone close. I added her in on a call with my friend who lives in New Jersey to see if he would be able to pick up my son, she yelled on the phone and hung up. I called back nervously very scared for my son, I was in a vulnerable situation and there was nothing that I could do to fix the issue quickly enough, and there was no understanding given. I asked if she could call his mother, she said she's at work, but in a very recent conversation with the court his mother stated she was not working at the time, so I asked was she sure and could she please just try and I will pick him up from her, she said no. I also inquired why am I being notified so late, I would believe that if I never pick him up on Thursday I should get a courtesy call to make sure I am aware, so she stated she meant to call earlier but because she's a director and had more precedent matters, and other obligations she lost track of time. Of course I can understand that, however she refused to give the same understanding in return. Continuing with the same rude treatment she stated if someone is not here by 6:30 I will be calling the police, and then yelled I have been here since 6:30 a.m., I said I understand I'm just as tired I dropped him off at 6:30 a.m. She then hung up to call the district director, so I continued to search around for someone able to get there. I spoke with my sister she said she can get him, so I called the daycare to let them know my sister was on the way, the director never mentioned that the police were called already she just rushed me off the phone stating they were waiting for a callback. I then get a call from the police who is stating that the director told them that I said I am not coming to pick up my son which was not the truth, I was very grateful because the officer remained neutral and asked for my side of the story. I explained to him everything that happened, within the conversation he let me know everything was being recorded and gave me what I needed to retrieve the recording (Inv. Szovati [protected]) My sister arrived at the daycare, the director asked the police to follower her out and please stay until she has left to make sure she does not do anything. That request was very rude and unnecessary, my sister said nothing to her in an aggressive or threatening manner. I believe the director is racist and I fear for my son being in her care.
Desired outcome: Apologize from the director and better training for the staff
Retaliation
After being with our center for 7 years, I had the (New) assistant director, former teacher refuse to assist my childs needs in front of me. While I was dropping off, she didnt acknowledge any of my kids come into her room, just continued staring at her laptop-not doing anything on it as I stood beside her trying to ask a question about my childs supplies. She copped an attitude and replied, "I am not your childs teacher, youll need to wait until her teacher is here." She was filling in for that teacher. She then kept staring at her laptop without doing anything. I asked when her teacher would be available, then she said, IDK shell be back. I asked where she was, she replied in a nasty tone, "In the bathroom" so I began looking around for where the supplies may be and she turned around and yelled at me in front of all the kids saying "I SAID SHE IS IN THE BATHROOM!"
Since she implied she is not my childs teacher, its obvious she ignores the needs of the children in her care as well.
I also advised how I have been informed she does a lot of yelling in my childrens classrooms and made my kids uncomfortable.
I reached out to the district leader. This was handled on a thursday/friday. Monday AM I received a notification in the Kindercare app that my kids have been disenrolled since part of them are drop ins since for 7 years they refused to bus my kids. So I had no other option. No discussion was had. Upon further information I have learned that is not protocol and that the director needed to have a discussion about disenrolling prior to her actions.
I was accommodating to find before and after school care to assist with them refusing to bus from the center (Which my kids school is much closer than the other schools they bus at). I decided to make things easier and use them for school breaks, etc.
Desired outcome: Agreement to bus my kids to/from their school, Discussion prior to making decisions, Come up with a plan for this clear case of retaliation.
Unfair treatments
Pittsburg KinderCare, CA location needs its center director replaced immediately.
As parents, we know that toddlers and children in general are sometimes difficult to deal with. With the right tools and love, kids can cooperate and understand as well as differentiate between good and bad. A change in behavior does not happen overnight.
This center has some patient and caring staff/teachers who do their best to take care of the kids. We cannot say the same about the Center Director as her attitude and way of handling situations leaves much to be desired. It's almost as though they expect a child to fully understand everything and make required changes immediately. At the end of the day if a kid isn't behaving well, we don't think the best solution is to send them home and or tell the kid not to show up the following day. With years of experience in handling all manner of situations, we expect the Center Director to know better. We did not feel fully supported and we felt that our child's emotional wellbeing and confidence may be affected if he continues to be treated the way he's being treated at the center right now. He's a happy kid with a lot of energy that needs to be channeled properly, not shut down. It takes time and patience for changes to happen, and we hope that the management of the center knows this and supports their staff and the families who put their children in their care.
Talking to several parents has pushed us to file these complaints specially for kids or a certain demographic characteristic.
Desired outcome: Change the center director. Julie, the assistant director will make a wonderful center director.
Inappropriate behavior - customer service
I was very disappointed to experience disrespect during several visits at this facility. It's been a month now and it upsets me each time I have to interact with this center as a support system for my grandchild. I can't believe the teacher in particular is allowed to use an intimidating, condescending tone of voice. Allowed to bully and harass a student'...

I have been with KinderCare for just over 3 months now, I worked in a brand new center, and it was one of the larger centers in our area, I believe the workload for the number of staff this center requires is too much for 2 directors to handle, an admin assistant would be a great addition to the front office staff. Our directors are very inexperienced when...

I had picked up my 12 month old daughter and she was starving and crying, she hadf not had a bottle since 2pm and it was six, i asked for a bottle and she grabbed it so quick her hand was shaking and drank so fast, i couldnt take it away from her to even get her coat on her to get her to the car. This daycare, new a new director and new infants teacher, and the center needs closed, redone and cleaned, very dirty and cluttered.

I spoke to one of your specialist and she stated I could upload the video I have of the driver going 35/40 in a 25. This is after dropping off the kids at the SAME school. She was speeding in and out of traffic, trying to cut me off when the road merged, and gave me hand gestures (while kids were on the bus) this lady needs to slow down, and calm down, if she is working with OTHER people's children. I was mortified and had to call her in.

My nine year old daughter attends KinderCare on 511 West Campbell Road Richardson Texas 75080, where she was physically and verbally attacked by a teacher that's employed there by the name of Ashley. My child was jacked up by her shirt, her arm and her backpack on November 4, 2019. Kayla had supposedly been seen playing with another child when this teacher...

As an employee at a Milford Connecticut Kindercare I know we are treated poorly and unfair by management. These people are very vindictive and will retaliate if you complain about their care. I've told them plenty of times how to change the baby's diaper due to eczema and they never followed the directions. They left my baby in soaked diapers for what appears to be hours. My baby always had terrible diaper rashes and marks to which i'd ask where they came from...

Some of the teachers at the Columbus KinderCare are a joke.ive seen one teacher get rough with the preschoolers when they don't listen the first time and the manager is a joke.they tell the kids they won't get their stuffed animals or blankets for nap if they don't act right immediately (they're 2 to 4) and management is a joke.the director is a ride woman who acts like she cares once in a while but it a big bully to everyone and plays favorites with children and staff
billing/attendance
I am very disappointed that the communication has declined since the new director started. I recently found out there is no longer a reservation fee and that my child has to come the same 3 days a week every week. Also the upfront payment for the full month and paying for care when my child is not there is ridiculous. I don't know anything anymore and I'm looking to find better care for my child ASAP. I really hate that this has happened because at one point I loved KinderCare.
