I cannot believe the customer service scamming of this King and State company. Just hung up from a supervisor who accused me of being inept at reading their warranty and she gave me their one sided version of how it should be interpreted in their favour.
-she claims that the Lemon guarantee has pro ration applicable even though it states very plainly that they ‘will instruct the retailer to replace the product’
-she claims that pro ration applies because you have to read the warranty all as one document even though the coverages are individually laid out
-she claims I had an old warranty that was changed literally a month after I ordered/paid for my unified washer/dryer…if I had the other new warranty, this would be different
-she then claims that the warranty that applies is the one that existed the day I ordered the items, not the one that existed at the time I received my product 2 months later
I had 4 major repairs with King and State on this garbage product…plus a warranty claim for the exact same thing with manufacturer a month after delivery….but they sneakily didn’t tell me about the lemon guarantee after the THIRD time !
Now they want to manipulate this even further, my product technology did not advance and price is same now as it was when I bought it.
I have zero contribution for time without use of my machine and paying for laundry done outside (receipts are not given by pay machines at a laundromat lol)
She did suggest that when I purchase a replacement machine with HALF of the cost attributed by them that I should pay MORE for an even better super warranty that is STILL tilted in their favour.
What a scam…guess that’s why they operate from another country so they can be untouchable!
Desired outcome: Pay to replace my machine at current price of $1495 plus tax instead of $700

My complaint has been marked resolved and it most certainly is not. The Kimg and State put a “canned message” on your website asking for my info, which I provided to them immediately. They claim they will investigate but they have done nothing, zero contact or reply.
After 7 days, your “complaint board” boosts their profile by claiming a complaint is resolved…with ZERO info to prove such a conclusion.
I think this Complaints Board is also a sham, just like the warranty company….for all I know, you are aligned with them and this website is just to make them look like they are an ok company and take care of clients. They DO NOT and you need to DO BETTER !
I have sent an email to KING AND STATE dated December 13 which reads:
After an unsatisfactory exchange with your customer service team and requested escalation to a supervisor with whom I subsequently spoke, I filed a complaint at Complaints Board.

I am posting here as required by the rules of the COMPLAINT BOARD.
It has been another week and still no one from King and State has answered my email or contacted me in any way since lodging this complaint on December 12, 2023. The only communication made was a “canned” post above on December 13, 2023 that they write on EVERY complaint, they have done nothing since yet they have been provided my contact information to “review” and “provide me with a resolution “
They wouldn't even direct me call to the supervisor. They King and State is a SCAM! The hung up the phone on me while I was still talking, I can't beleive this company is allowed to operate in canada ripping off Canadians with thier money
This company aside from being a SCAM also needs some training on customer relations. They are very RUDE over phone. The last call they placed the lady didn't even allow me to talk, she just finished speaking and hung up...How has this type of company being in operation, operating with such rude staff who speak to their clients with reckless abandonment and no one says nothing about it...
Realy SAD!
