My daughter's 2013 Ford Focus broke down on the road June 26th and was pushed to another auto repair who diagnosed a Transmission Control Module and clutch issue. The car was towed to Koons Ford on June 28th. I had to keep calling Mike T, the service manager, to confirm they had my car and he said he did not know when it would get diagnosed and if it is what the previous repair shop said, there are other cars ahead of us for this part and it could be a 4-6 weeks wait. Koons and the previous repair shop denied us a loaner or a rental. We are now on week 10 and there is no change in the situation no matter how many times I call Koons or the previous repair shop. This is a known faulty problem for this model and year AND the same repair was done 17,000 miles ago in April and May with the previous owner. Mike said they keep putting the same part in. At this point, I want full market price for the car, they are selling the same one for $8000. This would end the nightmare for us and my daughter can get to school and work.

I purchased a used 2014 Mazda CX-9 for $12,868.26, on 6/11, during the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. I traded in my used Honda Element and put down $5,000 and financed $6,000. I had the car from 6/11 to 10/09. Under normal circumstances, I would not be filing a complaint or disputing anything, as I signed the warranty, which was 30 days. Why I am upset is I was not doing normal driving. My Mazda was parked in my driveway Monday through Friday. I was only using the vehicle on weekends or to the grocery store during this time frame. On 10/9, I was driving to a friend's, and my car while driving it shut off, no warning. I had to do a costly tow to a mechanic where he quoted me $7,067.80 to replace the engine! The engine was gone, needed to be fully replaced. I called the dealership, my salesperson no longer works there anymore. So I had to deal with a Mr. B, who decided to repeat to me about the warranty. So I asked if there was anything that could be done as I am still financing on the vehicle, the repair is costly for not even driving the vehicle normally. If I had been driving normally, it probably would have blown up closer to my warranty date! He said he would send it to the service department and see if they could work with me, after that NOTHING. No callbacks, right to voicemail. I tried to go through my financing company, all they could offer was a trade-in, which I could not do as I still needed money down. I had already put $5,000 down on a car I thought would be a long-term family car! I do not think it's right that this car now costs me $20,000 in 4 months, and it is only worth $10,000. I also do not think it's right that Koons takes no responsibility and disregards a customer so quickly when trying to resolve the issue. I'm a single mother whose life doesn't stop because of a broken car but also cannot put out $7,000 on a car that I am still paying on! Again, normal wear and tear I understand, but I don't understand how my engine blows up on a 2014 Mazda that has been sitting on their lot for however many months, then I drive it mainly on the weekends because everything is shut down and I'm working from home?
