VERY IMPORTANT: Please read and take appropriate prompt action:
1) Kraftmaid is in error. Excellent customer service is expected.
2) Dick Mills, General Contractor, is remodeling a home on a pre-determined schedule, that was partially based on Kraftmaid keeping its word (being honest) and delivering the prepaid in full ordered produce COMPLETE, as ordered, and as promised six weeks in admance.
3) I was assured by the Kraftmaid customer service agent on 04/15/2019, approximately 12:50 PM, PST, that my replacement order, #[protected], was in production, and she would request the following on my behalf:
4) Air shipment (one day), to Lowe's local warehouse.
5) Anything less is UNACCEPTABLE!
6) Here is why: Kraftmaid (and/or its vendor) made a critical mistake. I expect them to show professionalism and personal/corporate responsibility, and make this good to me-the Contractor-whose job is greatly affected. This delay has caused financial harm to me, my subcontractors (cabinet installers, counter top vendor, plumbing contractor, and others).
7) My client now is set back considerably in his plans.
Please contact me by phone asap Dick Mills [protected].
Please assure me you will address this opportunity to prove your service reputation in the industry, and maintain a strong referral reputation.
I will look forward to a phone call from a person authorized to solve this issue as I expected from the time I placed my original order, and assure me I will receive my missing cabinetry before the end of the week of April 26, 2019.
Thank you very much in advance.

kitchen cabinets tigerwood thermofoil design
To Whom It May Concern,
After a few years of loving my very expensive cabinetry I had ordered at Lowes through Kraftsmaid began falling apart, I reported this to Lowes. After the Kraftsmaid Rep, Peter Coats came out, it was determined that the glue supporting the thermal laminates had gone bad and they would replace the doors to the cabinets. I was told that the manufacturer had many problems with these throughout the states and had filed a bankruptcy but Kraftsmaid would replace them at their expense with a replacement cabinet and they would install them . It has now been 4 years (June 3, 2013) since I was told this by the Kraftsmaid Rep, Peter Coats. I was given 4 choices but only one had the gloss finish of the originals so that was the selection.
The replacement doors were/is a substandard cabinet door as it was shipped to my door and stored at my house until the installer came and 70% of the cabinets that were shipped for an install had issues and couldn't go in. I am now down to 3 cabinets stored behind my couch and one that has yet to be replaced. Some were poor quality with scratches and damaged corners or glue that once wiped off destroyed the finish through the installers who tried their hardest but the quality was not good. It has been 4 long years now and my patience has worn so very thin. I don't believe anyone would have put up with all the waste of time or having to spend so much time receiving bad product or waiting for installers to show up. I held out because I trusted that their Rep, Peter was trying to get me proper cabinets and we would finish this ASAP. Sadly, he has since left the company and has a new replacement named Mindy that had told me that the installers from LOWES would call within the week and finish the project, finally. They didn't call so I called Mindy and...
After trying to reach this replacement person, I was forwarded by her answering machine to call another number for customer Care and I did...
This has now become a horrible experience for me as I just spoke with a person in charge of this Department, who said her name is Lisa Griffins and who states that she has been with the Company since 1997, even before the new CEO, Gordon Fornier, took over, so she knows best.
Her paid response to my 4 year dilemma was that I should now...
1. Obtain a quote from anyone that could install cabinetry to install the 3 cabinets still behind my couch and the oven cabinet that was never replaced at all (that she would put in an order for) and they would decide if they would approve it and pay for it, since they didn't have to and were only doing me a FAVOR after they were ordered.
OR.. 2. I can call LOWES the retailer and see what they would do now (4 years later). The original cabinets took one week to install and were beautiful until they started to bubble and then fell apart.
At least when their old Rep. Peter Coats was in charge of all this mess, he was considerate and I believed that he would eventually see this through and all would be happy! He was always courteous to me and he knew what i had been going through.Masco.com.
Since talking to this "Important" official in the Masco/ Kraftsmaid Corporation, that talked down to me, over me and basically insulted me after all this time of my waiting and being put out over and over again, I am discouraged about the completion of my kitchen as it has become a joke from my friends who can't believe that I have given up 4 years to now be insulted by a self-acclaimed official with the Masco/Kraftsmaid Corporation.
Is this where a customer goes to TV news for help and guidance?
At this point, I welcome outside advice. Please help.

they forgot to order some materials
My father called to the company www.kraftmaid.com and told that he wanted to remodel the kitchen. He spoke with the rep and explained what materials and colour we wanted to get. The rep sounded so professional and helpful, but he forgot to order some materials and our order and kitchen stuck for uncertain terms. It was nightmare for us to sit and wait. The rep only called and told to wait for the phone call from us. But I haven’t received it.
countertop has large pits and fissures and is not sealed
Ordered a granite counter top from Just Cabinets supplied by Kraftmaid Counter Tops. The granite has large pits and fissues in it and is not sealed according to the advertised 15 maintenance free sealer tehy are supposed to use. I have now had a representative from Just Cabinets look at teh counter top and agree something is not quite right and today had a representative from Kraftmaid look at it and said that is just the way this would look. Has anyone else experieinced a simialr situation and what were you able to get resolved. Regardless, I would not recommend either company going forward due to the porr customer service we have experienced the past 8 weeks.
poor quality and will not replace
Purchased Kraftmaid through a reputable lumber company, received medicine cabinet and it had seams that were split and not finished as well as poor millwork, company will not replace because product was installed. We could not see the issues at hand until product was installed. I want the cabinet replaced they will only replace certain parts and then I have to pay to have someone come in to replace the problem items. Who do I file with to complain, I spent A LOT of Money on this and just want what I paid so much for.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
wrong finish on cabinets
I ordered Kraftmaid Venicia cabinets. The sample doors were ultra high gloss. The delivered cabinets are an awful lemon peel texture.
So far, the company is not willing to replace the doors, drawer fronts, filler overlay, and end panels.
This product was discontinued. If they could no longer make the right doors - they should never have taken an order for over $15, 000!
SHAME ON KRAFTMAID.
I have photos that I would like to upload to illustrate how bad the doors are compared to the beautiful sample.
poor quality
I also purchased cabinets from Kraftmaid/Lowes/HomeDepot. They have been out to my house at least 4 times. They finally hired a contractor to repaint my sink base and a year later the crap is peeling off. I have had numerous issues with this. Peeling paint, cracks in doors and doors not lining up properly. I also have issues with inside the cabinets and drawers. If you wipe them down to get crumbs or anything else out, then the whole bottom starts peeling the fake would they used. I would never recommend Kraftmaid. They don't stand behind what they build. They totally suck.
I purchased two different Kraftmade vanities, different styles and different finish.
One Vanity finish was so poor I had to send it back.
Finish on both vanities were poor and not consistent.
Some seems were smooth, some not filled and sanded, some were uneven.
Doors have a ¼ “ gap around them, even after the best possible adjustment.
Some draw fronts were warped, some were gouged, some had a nail hole.
It's as if there is no quality control, or they simply do not care.
I would never buy another Kraftmade product again. There product is anything but "Kraft Made"
Buyer beware!
no replacement parts
I bought a house that was remodeled 10 years ago with Kraftmaid kitchen cabinets. They were fine except that one of the door hinges broke 6 weeks ago. Forget going to their website for a replacement! You have to go to a dealer and there are none nearby in WV! The ones I have found cannot seem to get an answer from Kraftmaid! So I have a door dangling by a single hinge! Going on 6 weeks now - I will NEVER consider their cabinets in any future constuction!
I understand they are going through some corporate reorganization and relocating offices but they seem to have forgoten about CUSTOMER SERVICE! Pitiful.
poor quality cabinets
Ipurchased Kraftmaid cabinets and the finish was full of dirt and smudges. A lowes sales rep came to my house and agreed that the finish was poor and ordered new doors for me. When the new doors arrived the finish on these doors were worse than the first ones. So I wanted a rep. from Kraftmiad to see the cabinets. The rep. showed up and opened one of the doors up and saw what appeared to be spray caulk on the face of the door and said that was not good.(REALLY) He also said that the other problems with finish were acceptable as far as their quality allowed. I asked him to send a truck and I would load them up and they could give me my money back and I'd go buy cabinets from someone that new about quality. He said that they couldn't do that and he would order me new doors and follow the build personally and when Lowes received them he would inspect them at the store before they were sent to me. So now I have 27 doors of poor quality in a spare room that maybe one day I'll use as for a bonfire. I needed three more cabinets to finish my kitchen and like a dummy I went with Kraftsmaid again so the cabinets would match. And much to my surprise they did an excellent job.(that's sarcasm) One of the cabinets had no finish on part of the frame. So next time I need cabinets guess were I won't go. I advertise for Kraftsmaid all the time and have steered about 11 people away from their cabinets and will continue to do so. Even after they gave me a little money back. The cabinets still look like crap.
bad service
We purchased kitchen cabinets from kraft maid through home depot, eight years ago. Total cost: 22, 000 K.quarter rouund around cabinets was starting to look old, so I called home depot to order some and was told that the finish of my, porcelain glaze, has been discontinued. home depot went on to tell me that kraft maid suggested that we try and stain the quarter round our selves, even though this finish is a four step finish. the home depot guy was trying to tell me that neither home depot or kraft maid have any responsibility towards us. My husband contacted the home depot head office and filed a complaint. we are awaiting a response. I have to say that DANNY, at the head office took the time to listen to us.he however said that he still has to check with kraft maid about a solution.
I signed a contract w/Lowe's to redo my kitchen cabinets, I chose Kraftmaid Cabinets Top of the line. I requested a Light Oak Cabinet finnish.
I paid in advance to get order started on May 31, 2010. Received the cabinets 4wks. later. Upon opening the boxes W/ builder we found the cabinets a light oak, BUT the doors were a multiple of colors !
When the second round of doors came in, the cabinet doors were 6" to high!
I finally took delivery of the corrct doors on Sept.7th. . The colors are still a little off, but at this point I'm exasperated & done with this company.
I will never recommend this company's product to anyone! I feel like I wasted my money & mt time!
May I suggest that you call KraftMaid directly. I believe the porcelain glaze was not discontinued, but merely renamed. I have never had good luck with Home Depot, but have always found KraftMaid to be first rate. Remind them that they got the JDPowers award, #1 for customer service.
terrible everything
I ordered 18 Kraftmaid cabinets from Home Depot (which by the way even after measuring twice got the design wrong). They came to my home rather quickly but little did I know... I was instructed to open all boxes and make sure there where no problems. Well, there where 9 damaged cabinets out of 18. Damaged finished edges from poor handling and packing...

They are the absolute worst - get more for your money by buying at Ikea - or a custom shop, less headaches and less aggravation. A total *** job, was sent broken cabinets glued an inch apart or not glued at all. Fell apart when I opened them, doors missing, hinges missing. What a mistake, a total disaster this company is.
Don't listen to the design center at Home Depot - even they don't have a clue what they are doing. You'll see if you order them... take your chances, I loathe them and Home Depot. BUYER BEWARE FOR SURE
