I bought 3 shades and a set of vertical blinds from LA Custom Blinds
I bought 3 shades and a set of vertical blinds from LA Custom Blinds. One set of shades was measured right, but the other 3 were measured wrong 4 times. I only received one set of shades. They came to my house to measure a total of 5 times, and I'm still waiting for 3 out of the 4 things I ordered. I paid a deposit of $509.
On 01/25 we bought some blinds from LA Custom Blinds
On 01/25 we bought some blinds from LA Custom Blinds. The installation took a really long time and ended up causing damage to our new french door. Finally, on March 4, the guy named *** put the roman shades back up, but he did a really bad job. He drilled holes where he didn't need to. Since then, I've been trying to get this issue resolved, but nobody has given me an answer. First, I talked to Yvette, but she left the company. Then I had to start all over again with Karla, who didn't do anything except deny my claim with their insurance company. After that, I talked to *** several times, but now he doesn't know anything and doesn't have an answer. Now I have to call ***. I paid $*** for my brand new french door, plus $800 for installation, and I already gave LA Custom Blinds $920 as a partial payment.
No one at LA Custom Blinds calls me back
No one at LA Custom Blinds calls me back. They always make excuses. I want my money back because this company is not professional and I've lost confidence in them. My roller shades were installed and they were not working properly. The upper valance looked really cheap. The installer called and reported the problem to someone named ***. They sent many photos of the issue. *** promised that I would receive a call within *** but that never happened. I spoke to *** and told him that I was not happy with the service or the quality of the shades. They never told me that there were no refunds and they didn't give me any paperwork or receipt stating that. *** asked for a copy of my contract and receipt and said he would get back to me. But after I sent *** a copy and later *** a copy, and after countless unanswered calls and emails, I have become more and more disappointed. It seems like this company has taken my money and doesn't want anything to do with me anymore. Now I'm stuck with shades that don't work and are falling apart.

We paid $**** for shades to be installed in our new build home
We paid $*** for shades to be installed in our new build home. Some were blackout, all were to be inside mount and some were motorized. During the install which was scheduled for March 6 (full payment was already made) there was damage done to the house carrying the materials done. The wrong windows were motorized, one shade was outside mounted and none of the black-out blinds was actual blackout. The workmanship is extremely poor and despite them coming out 4 times and continuing to make errors in the installation, plus 11 phone calls including to management, the problem is not fixed. At this stage, we have lost complete faith in them. They are quick to take your money but are non-responsive to fix problems. Unfortunately, we referred them to 4 other homes and one has already had problems. At this stage, we want our money back and the shades removed as they are not black out nor are they installed correctly. We are also now left to fix drywall gashes and holes and repaint.
I got blinds for my whole house from LA Custom Blinds
I got blinds for my whole house from LA Custom Blinds. The guy who sold them to me, ***, came over on 7/6. We agreed on grey roller shades for the whole house and top down bottom up cellular shades for the master bedroom and master bathroom. The problem is they brought the wrong color shades for my family room slider, the cellular shades for the master bedroom and master bathroom were only bottom up and not top down, and on top of that the shades in the master bedroom were the wrong size. We agreed to let them fix the mistakes on 8/20. They fixed two windows since then, but two windows in the master bedroom and one in the master bath still don't have shades. And the family room slider still has the wrong color shades. I can't get a definite date for when everything will be done. I signed a contract on 7/6 for $*** and paid $***. They charged my credit card the rest of the money $*** the day before the scheduled installation on 8/19. It's still not done today 1/6/2022.
They took our money upfront for the blinds we wanted back in September
They took our money upfront for the blinds we wanted back in September. They put up the smaller indoor blinds, but they've been here like 6 times already to measure and install the outdoor shades, and they still haven't done it right because they messed up the measurements and didn't realize how complicated it would be (the windows are like 15 feet tall!). I can't get a hold of anyone except this "project coordinator" person. The sales guy and the boss don't answer my emails or calls. They even made appointments to install and then canceled at the last minute, or they showed up without the right tools, or they called hours after they were supposed to be here because they didn't have the materials (they told me the order was done when they made the appointments). Every time they come, I have to take time off work and pay for it myself, and they won't even think about giving me a refund. It's been 4 months now, and I still don't have what I paid for. I paid in full before they even started installing! It's obvious they sold me something they don't know how to do, and I don't trust them anymore to put up these shades safely.
So, I hired LA Custom Blinds 'cause I wanted a designer to come out and measure my windows right
So, I hired LA Custom Blinds 'cause I wanted a designer to come out and measure my windows right. Saw an ad on Instagram, seemed legit. She suggested a blind type for my windows, but man, once they were up, they looked all wonky. Crooked, didn't fit, wrong material. They made new blinds, came back with the same wrong size. Turns out, she ain't no designer, just a fast talkin' sales rep who knows squat about interior design. First time they installed 'em, they left a screw on my bed, like seriously? If I hadn't noticed, I would've laid right on it. At that point, I just wanted my money back. Didn't trust 'em, didn't wanna deal with 'em. But nope, they said I had to cancel within 72 hours of signin' the contract. Like, how does that make any sense? You don't even know what the blinds will look like, but you gotta ask for a refund before they're even up? These guys are a bunch of crooks. And get this, I told 'em not to take my old blinds. I was busy movin' in, didn't pay much attention to what the installers were doin'. I figured they listened and put 'em in the closet like I asked. But nope, when I checked, they were gone. I called 'em for weeks about this and gettin' a refund, and when I finally got through, they said, "Sorry, our customer service rep got fired 'cause she never returned calls." The new rep told me they tossed 'em out, like they straight up stole my stuff and chucked it. And they wouldn't even replace 'em. Then they had the nerve to blame me, even though I'd been callin' for weeks tryin' to figure out what was goin' on. And let me tell ya, their new customer service rep is a real jerk. Did nothin' to fix the problem, just plain rude. Worst customer service skills ever. Just like the quality of this company.
I ordered some window shades from LA Custom Blinds in January 2022
I ordered some window shades from LA Custom Blinds in January 2022. They said the installation would take 2-4 weeks. I asked for two different shades, one with 1% privacy and one with 7% privacy, to match my big open room. They gave me a sample of the 7% shade and a similar sample of the 1% shade, but not the exact same one. I asked the designer if the 1% shade would match the 7% shade closely, but I hadn't seen it in my home. He said it would match. After I placed the order, I didn't hear anything for 7 weeks, even though I reached out to the designer. On the day of installation, all the window treatments were wrong. The valence fascias were too small, one shade was made with the wrong fabric, and another shade was too short for the window. Plus, the 1% shade didn't match the 7% shade at all. The installer confirmed that the measurements were wrong and the window treatments wouldn't match. The designer knew they were all for one room, so matching was important. LA Custom Blinds charged me the full amount, saying the installation was done, even though none of the window treatments were right. I've been without privacy or window coverings for weeks, and anyone can see into my home. When I told them that the 1% and 7% shades didn't look similar at all, even though the designer said they would, they said I had both fabric samples and chose them. But I didn't have both samples to compare. I only had the 7% and a similar one. I have text messages and photos to prove that I never had the 1% sample in my home, and the designer only sent me a photo and text saying they would match. I talked to ***, who said they would fix everything to make me happy, but I never heard back. When I talked to the PM, she refused to fix the shades that didn't match.
The company couldn't finish my whole order and won't give me a refund for what they did
The company couldn't finish my whole order and won't give me a refund for what they did. I set up a meeting with this company to get window treatments for my house. Michael Jackson did the first consultation. There are three windows in my house that have weird shapes and need a special kind of blind. Before I picked this company, they said they could make the special blind I needed. They gave me an initial quote on 1/22. The quote was for the whole house except for the three special windows. It was for $***. I decided not to get two of the windows, and I talked to Michael Jackson about the price difference for leaving them out in the kitchen. He said it would be $229 for one window and $249 for another, so the total for the 10 regular shades would be just under $***. Then I got a final quote that included the whole house and the three special windows. That quote was $***. The difference in price was about $***. His email said each special window was $***. I paid a 50% deposit, $***, on February 15 with my credit card. In March , they told me the window treatments for the regular windows (10 total) were done and ready to install. But they didn't have any record of the 3 special windows. They said they would install the 10 window shades now and make the 3 motorized shades for the special windows later. They installed the 10 window treatments, and they charged me the rest of the money for the whole project, even though the special windows weren't made yet. They charged an extra $*** to my credit card on March 21. The total cost was $***. About $*** was for the 10 treatments that were done, so there was a $800 difference. After talking to the company, including the owner ***, they admitted on 7/28 that they couldn't find the measurements. They sent someone else to measure the special windows. He said they would try their best to make the window treatments for me, and if they couldn't, they would let me get the material so another company could finish the order. I didn't hear anything and kept trying to contact the company. Eventually, the owner *** stopped answering my emails and calls. I talked to ***, and she scheduled for Michael Jackson to come back and check the project. He came back on 9/3 to look at the quotes, prices, and special windows again. At that time, Michael Jackson told me the company couldn't make the special window treatments. He looked at all the documents and agreed that I should get a big refund. But I never heard back from anyone at the company. I called and talked to ***, and she emailed me on 11/9 saying the refund would be $2692 ($897.56 each) and the material would cost $1104 if I wanted to go somewhere else. That's less than the original quote of $*** per special window that I paid. I emailed *** on 11/9 and said the refund amount in her email was way too low and I should get $***+ back. I also emailed ***, Michael Jackson, and *** on 11/12 and told them the refund amount should be $***+ based on the quote I got. I also sent an email to the other company asking about the type and brand of material so I could compare prices with LA Custom Blinds. They haven't answered any of those emails.
Purchased and paid for motorized blinds from LA Custom Blinds
Purchased and paid for motorized blinds from LA Custom Blinds. The workmanship was poor and sloppy. The warranty was useless. It was a waste of time dealing with them. They were inconsiderate and unprofessional. The work was incomplete. On November 22, a salesperson came to my home to give me an estimate for installing shades on 7 windows and 4 slider doors, all motorized. It cost $9 and I agreed and signed the contract. They estimated a delivery time of 6-7 weeks. This is where the nightmare began. In February , I received a call saying that the shades were ready for installation. A person named *** came to install the shades, but he only put them up for all the windows except the downstairs bathroom. He said he didn't have the right size facia or motor and needed to go back to the office to get what he needed. He assured me he would be able to repair the baseboard after cutting into it to make the shade go all the way down. He also cut into the upstairs bedroom floor and the wall where the wall remote was installed. He left and came back the next day unprepared to complete the job. He said he had to go back to the office and would come back the following Monday, but he never showed up. I called the company to ask if he was coming back to finish the work, but I was told he no longer worked for them. They said they would send another technician. On October 26, a technician named *** came to replace and install wall remotes and shades for the downstairs bathroom and 2 slider doors. He drilled multiple holes into the frames, scratching the walls and leaving unremovable smudges around the casings. I brought this to his attention and he agreed that it was unacceptable. He took pictures to show the damages and said he would report it to the General Manager *** to see how it would be resolved. He also mentioned that the company has someone who repairs wall and frame casings. My home is newly built and painted, and I know that you would not accept the unprofessional work that your employees have done. This whole process started in November with a quote for window coverings with remotes. In February , I entered into a contract that showed the size, quantity, material, and color of the shades. The first installation in February was incomplete. The initial installer, ***, came to my home multiple times without the necessary equipment and materials to do the complete installation. He would always have to go back to the office for another part or to resize a shade. The last time he came was on a Friday and he said he would come back the following Monday to finish the job, but I never heard back from him. I waited for a couple of months due to COVID-19, but no one reached out to me about completing the job. When he did the partial installation for the sliding doors, he cut into the baseboard to make the window coverings go down properly, but he did a shoddy job and left a mess. The downstairs bathroom window was left with the rod hanging and slanted, making it inoperable. I sent pictures to the company. As time went on, the remote stopped working for the sliding doors. I was in contact with multiple people and they sent different installers, each one not knowing what the previous person had done and taking things apart to do it their own way. None of the installers had sufficient equipment to do the job. I called the office and explained the situation. They sent *** who had no idea what to do and had to call for instructions on how to fix the wall remote, but it was not resolved. They also sent *** who didn't have the right equipment or size to fix or replace the needed items to complete the installation. I called the office again and spoke with ***, who talked to *** about finding a resolution. None of the three technicians were able to successfully install the motorized curtains properly. I am beyond frustrated at this point. It has been two years and the windows are still not completely installed. This is totally unacceptable. I need to know what is going to be done about this.
