personal trainer
A personal trainer by the name of Joe at the Overland Park Kansas Life Time Fitness has some serious ethical issues. I feel his practices as a trainer border incompetent. He gets clients hurt with his inability to listen to what the client is trying to say and his ego wont let him make good sound judgments. He takes your money but will show up late for...

I have been a loya employee for lifetime for 7 years, since I was a sophomore in High School. I always worked extremely hard. I went away to College, however, I always worked over breaks and came back in the summer. This year when I came back for winter I picked up shifts and received a text from the new manager stating that I had been terminated due to not working. No other employee who went away to college was terminated. I said it was no big deal, reapplied and got rehired but then went back to school. I contacted my boss 6 times over the course of 3 months before he got back to me about summer saying I had been terminated once again. However, people who quit a year ago are still getting reminders to submit their availability. I once AGAIN replied that it was no big deal and I would simply reapply, again. After 2 months I have heard nothing. I reached out to my boss and there is no response. I am disgusted and very angry.
uniformed waiver signing
I use Spa services only twice monthly, each time I come in I am asked to sign a waiver form. I am terribly blind without my glasses and even with glasses can not read the small print on the I pad. I have asked for brief synopsis of waiver. No one seems to know beyond "It is standard waiver. you must sign or not use spa" There is no copy available to read. Today, my eyesight was particularly blurry, so when asked to fill out form, I needed assistance. Then told hit "I Agree", Again I can Not see anything, i told staff member to hit button while I watched then I would sign. She could not do this, soooo after several pokes is general area and thinking I may have gotten lucky. I signed the form only to be chased by the manager to do the process again. This is an embarrassing situation each time I come in. And quite frankly signing something without knowing what I am signing isn't smart. I enter the facility to use spa service and end up feeling angry and agitated going through this process.
army veteran (tarancem) lt membership / membership account management - michael banks | life time member retention
Hi
3/30-Sat—spoke to Michael Banks in ref to my acc that is past due since Ive been out of work since Gov Shutdown.(Dec22)
He told me that my acc will be sent to
Coll for non-Pym after I attempted to make pym arr on 4/5/19.
Micheal was not prof as he told me it was not his fault for the Shutdown/no more options to assist me with the acc. Sarcastically told me he doesn't have a manager when I asked to escalate
lifetime fitness cancellation policy
Lifetime fitness requires you to go into the gym in person to cancel your monthly subscription so when my daughter left for college and then called, apparently they didn't accept this as a cancellation so we were charged through the school year for her membership. I finally convinced someone they should let us cancel, but they still charged me for the following month (april) because I hadn't called within their 5 day policy so we get to pay for next month too! How ridiculous! Whether its in their contract or not, this is just bad customer service. So I was charged for sept-april for a membership my daughter was 2000 miles away from and called to cancel. What a rip-off!
personal trainers
Do not sign up for a personal trainer package! This is specifically about the personal training service. Purchased a package of 4 sessions with a trainer - I had a goal of getting in shape two months prior to an event. I spent 80% of my time chasing the trainer down to set up sessions. He blamed email, being busy, zero follow up. Programs he sent me were not on target for my goals. He even sent me a program for another client! Asked for a refund from his manager, who seemed like he was going to come through. He agreed that the original trainer totally dropped the ball, that it had been an issue and that he wanted to make it right. He said he'd even train me himself. Refunded 1 session (I gave up with trying to set it up with the original trainer because he would not get back to me) but they wouldn't refund the other 3 because they said it was a package. He said he would make it right and would follow up with a new plan for me by a specific date and time. I had to follow up on the status with him as he never got back to me. He failed to follow through too. What can I do? They already have my money and know I can't commit to additional sessions because I of another event I have coming up that doesn't allow me to commit to personal training. I wasted 2 months of my time with a trainer that didn't deliver as well as well over $300.
membership termination - member id [protected]
I have made several requests for someone to contact me in management and I have not received a call. This complaint is about a corporate membership that was paid by me job and I have not been with this employer for 2 months. Upon my resignation I was not informed that I had to go to the club terminate my membership. Every time I spoke to someone they kept telling me that the balances due were my responsibility. When the representative came to my previous employer to sign us up this was not clearly explained to me in the meeting, if it was then I would have never signed up. Also we were told that we had to have a debit or credit card on file and I didn't understand why I had to do this when my employer was paying the membership. The representative never clearly explained why only that the card would never be charged unless we were going to purchase something and I did understand that either. So now I was charged for 2 months and they are threatening to turn it over to collections. I am very disappointed because I was not responsible for paying the membership dues and 2 months after leaving the employer they are charging me for services that I didn't use. I will continue to dispute this, because there another person that left the same employer and the are refunding her, her money that they charged to her card. My card wasn't charged because I had to have new cards issued, but what is the difference? This is unfair. I have called everyone that I know who has joined life time thru this employer and they also did not know that they would be charged if the left this employer and did not go to the club and terminate their membership. This is unfair due to this part of the membership was not clearly discussed. I hope that life time treats their average members better than they are treating me. From member services to corporate I have not received any answers to get the resolved instead the want to sent this to collections bad business,
membership cancellation
I cancelled my membership august 1st it takes 3 months to completely cancel the membership. I have had sent multiple letters requesting cancellation, spoke to representative over the phone requesting cancellation and never been requested to send a certified mail request, however they kept charging me $100.00 every months. After the last charg I called in to...

Has always been a 365 day a year fitness center. Now they have decided to close christmas eve afternoon and not open until december 26th.
This club continually raises dues and offers less and less. Lifetime offers less and less free classes and offers more paid ones.
Yoga instructors are not adequately trained. Many of the moves are not recommended by physical therapists and are dangerous.
Very disappointing.
operations
I enjoy going to the highland park location but lately there are certain people slacking when I come in. Making me wonder as to why they work in that area.
When I come in everyday I see the gentlemen at the front desk but there is always this short mexican girl standing at the front just talking and talking and when I go in for my workout and come out from my workout she is always still standing there and it's quite unusual.
I can't tell this is a super amazing place with great emplyees but I pay a lot to come here and I certainly don't think standing around is a way of getting paid.
charge of dues after canceling my membership
I canceled my membership and the gym says they have a 30 days policy for cancellation and collect fees/dues during that time which was never communicated when I became a member. I called to cancel my membership on nov 1 and was told I have to go in person so I was able to do that on nov 17 and when I did that I received an email (not told when I was in person) that cancellation takes 30 days and I will pay the dues for that till cancellation is in effect on dec 17. So they collected the dues for nov and 17 days in dec while I did not use the gym during that time.
billing and payments
I'm reporting fraudulent behavior @ burr ridge location. I'm 75 yrs old. For the last 8 yrs i've been inactive jan-may and sept-dec, paying $20 those months & full rates for june-aug. This worked until sept 2017 when I was charged, without authorization, full membership rates on my debit card. I discovered the fraulent activity in sept 2018 with $1200 in overcharges. I. Request an immediate refund.
membership
Been a member well over a year it's obvious i'm loyal but your company doesn't reciprocate this. I spoke with tyler in the coportate office 11/16 1:03pm in customer service about removing individuals from my account only to find out that 1 was already removed without my notice. I proceeded to remove 2 other individual from my account which brought it down $20. So all in all 3 members removed and my fees reduced $20. I still left 3 members on my account by the way. Obviously this was a big account an when inquiring about the price and adjustments tyler suggested I cancel rather than explain.in fact he suggested this on several occasion instead of feeling me out or giving me options, who knows that $20 could have went to your expensive yoga or swim program. So you are aware you have just lost 3 more than members because tyler's reluctance to cancel making a total of 6. You have your billing practices down but your loyalty, and services are crap. Not to mention I only get to use the qym equipment and have to pay an unreasonably additional amount of money to use other facilitates and my child is returned to me 5min after I check him into the daycare. You guys are robbing consumers and are false advertising how much you truly care about you members. I will take my families loyal member ship elsewhere at tyler's suggestion. I will also not provide recommendation and will pretty much shame you anytime your name is brought up.
If you want to improve outside of you service please try keeping the pool open more than 7 days straight and improve the family locker room it smells like crap and the other locker rooms are way more prestige. Also a little more inclusion in your facilities wouldn't help there is a lot of mistreatment based on diversity which is also why I am cancelling.
I will consider submitting a formal complaint to the bbb, you can check this out there where I will provide even more detail into my mishaps you lacked to pay attention to.
poor customer service
I called romeoville health club on nov 1st 2018 and spoke to laura account manager, I bought the membership gave her my cc didn't sign any documents, called her on november 3rd 2018 to cancel my membership she said I have to come in to sign the cancellation paperwork. I went in the same day to sign the paperwork. She said I would get a full refund since its within the 7 day peroid. Now its been two weeks and I still haven't receive my refund, plus I have left 1 message a day for last three days and no one has contacted me.
I would stay away from lifetime and there staff, service is most important to me and they failed to deliver good service and my refund.
Now I am disputing with my credit card company
I also left a message for her manager alfonso and still no call back.
aquatic charge
My family joined life time fitness four (4) months ago
Ashburn-sterling
44610 prentice drive
Sterling, va 20166
We then got email and voice invitations for kid swimming class try-outs which are offered to newly joined member would get a month free lessons for kids. We came to kid swimming lesson try-out and never came back as it didn't work for us. Now, we keep getting charged for kid swimming lessons every months despite the fact that we never registered nor come back to the swimming lesson.
Spoke to the customer service three (3) times and the lady who works at the aquatics department promised to refund the charge and give us confirmation. She never contacted us back and we keep getting recurring charge for kid swimming lessons. So frustrated, we cancelled our life time fitness family membership to avoid too many hassles.
whirlpool in "regular" mens' locker room, st louis park
Today is wednesday.
Whirlpool was empty last thursday the 11th.
No indication of when it would be working.
No sign of work being done.
The pattern has been that the pool will work for 2 1/2 to 3 weeks then be down for a week or longer.
When it is working, it is rarely at a therapeutic temperature. Too cool.
This pool, when it is working helps with arthritis pain.
It is disappointing lifetime management does not maintain its "amenities".
The dues are not cheap.
This has been an on-going problem.
Also, week-end maintenance of the locker rooms is lax. Bathroom supplies missing and towels not there. The usual stuff with this place...
St Louis Park whirlpool in mens' locker room is down again. Works for 2 - 3 weeks the is down for a week and a half. Maintenance at this club is really unacceptable.
unacceptable customer service
I signed up for free workout to check out the gym.in 2 days I was called 8 times and emailed 8 times. I was called by sales people trying to make sales and upsale me on other products. I was thouroughly annoyed and this totally ruined my experience of wanting to visit their gym. I ready had high hopes of spreading the word among my teacher friends to begin our transformation sessions at life time but this has left a bad taste in my mouth and i'm thouroughly disappointed with life time fitness!
membership & cancellation
I cancelled my membership september 3rd and it takes 30 days to completely cancel the membership. I had received lt bucks earlier and did not think of using them because I began school and work so my schedule was hectic. Today, 10/1 I called the shelby, mi location (where I used to go) because I received a reminder email to use my lt bucks before 11/14. I knew my membership was done on 10/3 so I called to see how I can use my lt bucks within these 3 days I have left on my membership. The member service manager, megan, was very rude and unhelpful at all. Especially knowing that the reason of my cancellation; going to school and other necessities to pay for including student loans. Paying $64 a month for a gym membership just was not in my budget and she kept telling me the only thing I can do at this point to save my $60 lt bucks was to put my membership on hold for 3 months paying $15 a month. And that the spa services were closed this week so I wouldn't be able to use them even if I wanted too. Also, constantly receiving emails in september like "are you sure you don't want to be on hold" "we can offer $100 in training, etc so you can stay at lifetime." why couldn't they offer that when I was there and enrolled? No, they wait to give freebie's and incentives when you want to leave. This is horrible service. I ended up contacting corporate after the manager gladly gave me the number and they said there may have been miscommunication but I can use my lt bucks until 10/3 on anything that shows lt bucks are eligible on the site. The manager could've told me since the spa is closed this week, you can use your lt bucks else where that is accepted but no. Because she is losing a member she didn't feel it was necessary to help a student out the most she can. Never dealt with such horrible service, especially at a gym and i've been with lifetime since 2012. They will be losing more members because I will be advising everyone I know that goes there the service I received today.
I loved Matt Tilburg, excellent manager for Lifetime . Believe he transferred, if you ever work with him please stay. He is genuine, caring and will do what it takes to provide exceptional care for his guests and team.
However, Bridgette McIver in Tulsa, Ok has increased the rates of customers more than once per year and has not cared to meet the needs of her customers. She is constantly working out and into her own results and not seeing how she can help others . She refuses to meet and set up time and meet with customers. Matt Tilburg would always meet with his customers and if he was out of town he would meet when he arrived right back. He made no excuses to help people. He was very calm, and I just don’t think the job is suited for Bridgette. She doesn’t care. I am leaving Lifetime, and I’m not paying $85-$90 a month. I know you have a lot to offer, your club is amazing, and your fitness instructors are phenomenal, and thank you for keeping the facility clean, and the parking lots on with music and by keeping it safe when it’s dark. I am happy with friendly staff when you enter and exit the building and the floors are not wet and are safe. I have so much positive feedback to say, and I’m very disappointed to leave. When you opened it even says it was about $60 month. I was paying that and that was my budget and I can’t pay $90 month. I’m not a Mercedes driver and I wouldn’t buy one as it’s not even a reliable vehicle . I would get something better built if I were to pay so much money. But that is besides the point. People can drive whatever they want. I think it’s unfair that she gets to change my rate multiple times a year and it’s poor management . Soon, sales will decrease and that gym could go under really bad if she continues running it.
our open gym time taken over by pickleball lessons when we always play
Dear Lifetime There's 6-10 of us guys that play Pickle Ball at Coon Rapids Lifetime M-F from 10:30-Noon time frame & have been doing this for 2+ yrs. Normally only 1 court... We were kicked out today by a gal named Jan that just recently has Tues & Thurs locked in now from 11-2 for lessons. Really? She knows when we play! Can't her lessons be scheduled at...
Read full review of Life Time Fitnessworst interview of my life
I went into the johns creek location the other day for a second interview. I arrived early and waited close to 30 minutes for someone to come speak to me. Once the manager made time to come see me, he barely made eye contact with me and made me feel like I was being a burden. I was walked to his office where we both sat down at his desk and he informed me that he would not be conducting the interview. I assumed it was a scheduling issue or her had a personal problem to attend to, but he told me it was because I was not dressed appropriately. I was dressed in slacks and a nice shirt. I had to wear my converse because I came right from school, but the way he treated me was unacceptable. He told me that he would have to speak to whoever it was "that decided I should be allowed to have a second interview". I felt humiliated and stupid, but it got worse. I have a friend that works at the location and he actually confronted the "man" that interviewed me. He asked why he dismissed me without even trying to speak to me and his answer was that my shirt was not tight enough for his liking. As a woman with a heavier bust, I have always felt like I was looked at more as an object, but I have never felt like this. I am a 17 year old girl and this man had a problem with my shirt not being tight enough. Please, don't give your money to a corporation that employs people like that.
hahhahaah the worst interview of you life and you are 17 hahahahaahah sexisam hahahaahahah you guys are so dumb its incredible
