Customer service
I shop at your Kihei Longs on 12/28/22 at 9:42 am. Your store # 9303. First of all, there is no customer service in that store. I was standing by a display and your clerk and manager just walked pass me without a hi, hello, can I help you? I felt like I was invisible.
Another thing your employees should not talk in their native language at the check out. That is very RUDE! I don't know if they are talking about me or not.
Overall this store needs to go to Customer Service classes.
Desired outcome: I would like to see better customer. Your manager and clerks should be more friendly and approachable. The speaking of their ethnic language on the floor should stop. They can have their conversations in the privacy of their breakroom.

Aloha from Hawaii, I arrived at this store in Kaneohe, Hawaii and found one young
girl at the prescription drop off window assisting a female customer, after 18 minutes and 4 visits from other pharmacy staff to assist your employee she still had not finished with this one customer, while waiting to drop off my prescription there were others who had gotten in line behind me who had moved to the prescription pickup line, so I also moved there but said nothing, and waited my turn as these lines were moving, when it was my turn I advanced and showed your employee with the purple hair, a middle aged woman, my prescription and she told me to go back to the line where I had been waiting for 18 minutes, I pushed the prescription and said I would not and told her I would be waiting in the chairs, unfortunately when I turned to sit down I did see that the script did go off the counter and she had to pick it up off the floor, I did not intend for it to go off the counter but clearly I was aggravated at waiting for so long for an under trained staff member to tie up your drop-off counter, how can I tell she was under trained, when she had to go to other staff 4 times over the course of helping a customer to ask how to do something, this is clear indication she was improperly trained or under trained, I sat for about 1/2 hour while my prescription was being filled, not saying anything to anyone, and was notified via text that my script was done, so I go to the counter to pick up, where your head pharmacist on duty tells me loudly in an attempt to embarrass me that what I did was quote uncalled for, to which I attempted to tell her about the reasons but she would not close her mouth to listen to me, she wanted me to know this was her territory and she would defend her stupidity at having an under trained person attempting, unsuccessfully, to help customers, so instead of her taking responsibility for her poor choices she got louder and louder and claimed that since I had never run a pharmacy that I had no idea of what she was talking about, I have run large service departments for auto and truck dealerships, one numbering 74 people and dealt with customer service all my life, and told her so, but still she would not relent, raising her voice and continuing to assert that I was out of line, I told her I did not throw anything but pushed the Rx down on the counter, if it slides off, that was not my intervention, but her lack of professionalism, lack of understanding, unwillingness to get my side of the situation, clearly demonstrates that she is a poor choice to bear such responsibility, for customer satisfaction, this is the first time I have been treated this way by your pharmacy, maybe she was having a bad day, don't know, don't care, it is the responsibility of every employee to embrace customer service, an old marine general once told me that the fish stinks from the head down, meaning that if the tail is rotten than the head must also be rotten, what you do with this is up to you, I am nobody, a meaningless customer who has a complaint, just remember without the many meaningless customers, you quickly run out of people that pay the bills
Desired outcome: i would like a phone call just to tell me someone read this note,,, and understand, and will try,,, just try to change things a little,,, brad burgess [protected]

The attitude that the girl gives is bad, I will not tolerate it anymore her name may be Kaylee 2 times I came she is rude to me not good at customer service 10/21/2022 she told me rudely my medication will be at 630 pm it’s 12:45 last time she told me to pass her a bag that was left on counter the way she said it! 10/23/22 - worst customer service ever. They don’t have their act together and to top it off their workers are not helpful. No sense of compassion. Firstly, it was hard to get a live person on the phone. I called to ensure they filled the order before going down to pick up prescription. They said all looks good and to give them 2hrs. It was 10:30am. Next I...

I was given a longs gift card a few years ago . At that time I activated the card and tried to use it at a Longs store only to be told that it had no value. I never tried it again. I checked the value today online and it shows that the original value of $50.00 and no transactions. Really a shame that your gift cards have this issue. Given the problem I had, I will not be purchasing any longs gift cards as gifts for others.
Pharmacist at longs drugs at 1130 Kuala st.
On October 9th 2022 around 3-3:30 pm I went to pick up my 24 year old sons medication at this pharmacy. The female pharmacist was extremely rude and unprofessional, she started asking personal questions like “who was going to manage my 24 year old sons medications” for one she is not my sons medical doctor. Secondly she couldn’t do the very basic thing as to look up my son’s secondary HMSA insurance that he has always had since he was born. She was mumbling through her mask and not speaks clearly. Very unprofessional. I walked out and transferred all our families prescriptions to another pharmacy. Longs needs to educate these young pharmacists on customer service and providing the prescriptions effectively and efficiently. I walked out and did not get the name however you can review this time and please speak to this employee. I’m 56 years old with three children and have been using longs for 45 years. This pharmacist asking personal questions and her attitude is unacceptable. She needs to learn how to process prescriptions and then ask if the customers if they have any questions. Her trying to dig personal information out customers is unprofessional and could have further implications.
Desired outcome: The pharmacist needs more education on how to service customers. The personal information of customers is none of her business. She should contact the medical doctor prescriber if she has questions not attack the customers.
The way people get treated
So I can’t tell you how many times I given you complaints about the profiling of other people and I have told you over and over again you need to take every employee you have and put them in a profiling class cause this evening agsin I felt disrespected I think or what your register girl in pharmacy clearly is one as well as all of your employees dew too your walki talki profiling secert communication you pull ! Sometimes I get really dirty at work where I own my own plumbing business and where I make about two times her or everyone’s weeks pay check I’m one day with said me in dirty cloths working onn a 1800.$ iPhone pro max which is dead give away and why that girl asked me for Id was tge most insulting question ever I wonder what she was thinking. Clearly something. Not true ( which makes her dangerous )
Desired outcome: I want you to either put your Employees in a proper profile class or stop judging and looking and judging and profiling people you have no right I wasn’t treated like everyone
Pharmacy
I attempted to call in a prescription, but the pharmacist was not available. I left a message with the prescription information and my contact information. I called the pharmacy line twice as the patient inquired about her medication and it was not available. On my third attempt, when I actually was able to speak to a pharmacist, he told to send an e-script and hung up on me. The phone message to the Pharmacist indicates they can take phone orders for prescription. I've never had an issue calling in prescriptions and find it disturbing the pharmacist would not take my phone order. As a result, I called in the prescription to another Pharmacy not affiliated with CVS/Longs. The Pharmacist at another location took my phone order without hesitation.
Desired outcome: When did the process of taking phone orders change?
Pharmacy in Kamuela HI
The Pharmacy SUCKS! They never have enough staff and the staff they do have is rude. They don’t answer the phone. I tried calling 5 times in 2 hours and sat on hold for over 20 min each time with no answer. The recording you have to listen to is so annoying. When I go in to pick up a prescription, I have to stand in line forever. There’s usually at least 8-10 people waiting.
They seriously need to address this customer service issue.
Longs drugs in Waipahu

Employees
Went to Longs Ewa Town center to buy something. Saw a familiar face that I saw the last time in the back by the freezer w/a wagon & 2 large cases of Heiniken. Same person they stopped for trying to shoplift a whole wagon full of liquor & detergent... etc. Saw him roll past the front checkout really fast. Informed a employee, she just laughed & said I cant do anything, while he was loading his trunk parked right in the front stall. Yes! SHE CAN identify his face so that the next time he comes in, they will be aware. I know times are hard for everyone, but not for stealing liquor. I rather see it be food, knowing he's hungry. But I dont feel sorry for liquor. The reason I have a issue is, as more people steal, regular paying people will pay for it by prices going up! I worked for Longs in the past for over 17 years and no way we had that kind of attitude back then!
Desired outcome: train workers, have security, make people be accountable for a i don't care attitude!
I waited in line to be told to get out of line
At 405 on March 9th 2022 I went to long drug store in Ewa beach, HI to purchase alcohol after I got off work. Went into the store at the cross road fort weaver and Geiger rd, went to the alcohol section nobody to be found. All the workers in the store didn’t want to help. So got in line with nobody behind me. As I get closer to the register 7 the line starts to fill. I get to the register ask the long employee for a bottle of crown apple, gave me an attitude called for someone to come and told me to get out of line. Horrible service. After waiting so long she wanted me to wait longer because she had something against me. Being the only black individual in the store I was treated differently. I will never shop at another longs store ever again.
Desired outcome: Need better training in customer service and fire individuals for racist acts.
Refusing to give my medicine
Hi,
Today 02/25 I went with my doctor prescription to Longs Drugs Kahala (Oahu)
Although I had a prescription and Belgian picture ID, I was refused because I need to have an US ID... meaning non US persons can drop death?
Luckily it was a prescription for sleeping pills and not an emergency medicine as for heart problems.
Fortunately a US citizen with common sense overheard the discussion and helped me by showing his driver license.
Desired outcome: Please look into this ridiculous rule before a person with an emergency will be badly affected. I believe any nationality has the right to receive his medicine (with prescription)
Discrimination, Refuse Service
Hi. I’m reporting store in downtown Honolulu 1088 bishop st, shopped here numerous times. I stop by on feb 4 325pm where I was approached by security stating I could not eater without a mask. I informed him I’m disabled and can not wear a mask and mgmt was aware. He then tell me to leave. I asked him to get manager and he said I had to leave. After ignoring my request to get manager and repeatedly tell me to leave store I went in store to locate Magee and stopped to pick up my item. Security comes around and stands in front of me. I asked him to step back he violating 6 feet distance.. he then says I don’t care and tells me get out. I told him he must not want his job.. and I will report him..he says he don’t give a f&$@ about his job. After reporting him to the asst manger she did nothing and told me to leave. I informed her I would get police and file complaint. She said do what you want. After filing police report I asked officer to walk back over to store to get my item. They asked manager can he purchase his item.. asst manager response No. I told manager I don’t need to enter I’ll pay for my items at door.. I proceeded to give my credit card and she refused it and asked for cash instead. I asked what’s the difference she stated she didn’t want to handle my credit card. I looked at her and said it’s the same as cash. Then she said I could not enter store. I reported to corporate which the store manager apologized and offered me $10 store gift card for being discriminated against.. verbally abused, and refused of service. Now that offer shocked me. Security still works there didn’t apologize . neither did asst manager. So I guess I will need to consult with my lawyer
Desired outcome: Security guard Termination, asst manager re-train
3x’s my prescriptions have not all been in a bottle.
3x’s I’ve gone to pick up medicine and the correct amount of pills was not in the bottle. Once it was a narcotic & I didn’t complain because I thought I’d be blamed. The next 2x’s it’s a gall stone medication called urocidol (sp)
Today I went to get a prescription filled & even though I was outside the drive through window & my conversation with the Staff was completed, i wasn’t even talking to the staff. I cursed to myself about the “[censored]” I said “son of a [censored]!”
The pharmacist got an attitude with me. I told them to do their job. Then she refused to fill my prescriptions. Prescriptions that have come up short on 3 occasions. Proving a string of incompetence. I asked the pharmacist for her name & she refused to give it me. The store manager was called & I was still refused the pharmacist name. The manager also refused to give her name when I stated I wanted to file a complaint. I think the staff at 2470 S King St, Honolulu, HI 96826 has been stealing narcotics from patients. I want a complete recount of all the drugs in the pharmacy. I want a personal apology from both the pharmacist & the manger who only identified herself as “candy” her description is 5’4” 350 lbs. light brown hair. Pharmacist is Asian. 5’6” 120 lbs.
I didn’t use foul language at towards anyone of the staff. I’m a white guy in Hawaii & i the race that gets discrimination. I was outside the building & your staff can’t do tact how I talk. That’s discrimination. The obese manger named candy is Hawaiian.
Desired outcome: I want written apologies from both supervisors. An inventory of all medications should be done on their personal time. Not company time.

Aloha, I went to Long's in Mililani Mauka on 12/30/21 at about 5:00pm. We purchased the Frito Lay French Dip for the evening and how embarrassing to have guests start to eat the dip, then have someone say it kind of smelled funny. We find out that it is expired by at least 9 days (12/21/21). It was late in the evening so I called today, 12/31/21 at...

We went to Kam shopping center longs drugs to pick up a few thing's. We noticed fans high up on the top shelves that were going for $14.99 a piece we also noticed the floor fans that were going for I think it was $24.99. There were two stockers one malE and female we kindly asked if we could have two from the top shelves the $14.99 l. Male stocker replied " we have more at the registers " . So we continued our shopping knowing we could pick them up next to the registers. As we approached the registers we noticed they were the stand up fans that cost $24.99 . While at The register manager MR.Cory was there we let him know we wanted the $14.99 fans in the back on the top shelf the $14.99 one, Without hesitation Mr.Cory argued and told us those are the same ones pointing to the floor fans that were $24.99 so as we inspected the fans at the register they were not the desk fans for $14.99. We kindly asked again we wanted the $14.99 one in the back on the top shel. Mr. Cory gave us a mean look and said in a louder tone "those are the same ones" and stormed off . You know when we go shopping there's a lot of dealings we have to do to get to your store at Kam shopping center, traffic, parking, yet we are humble people who just want to buy what we ask for. It wouldn't of hurt the manager to kindly check after the second attempt of asking kindly. But to be treated in way that was demeaning or a feeling of discomfort or discriminated? Well, I had enough of being So nice I rarely get to a point that I have to act uncivilized, so I told my sister to bring those close to the register and I let the cashier know that Mr. Cory said "it's the same as the $14.99 ones we wanted" as she rung it up it was &$24.99 so with a loud tone I let her know that it was $14.99 because the rude Manager Mr. Cory who did not listen to us twice and got mad for just asking for helping said "it's the same as the one we wanted which were $14.99 . Well she had to summon Mr. Cory to redo the pricing from $24.99 to $14.99 because I told him "that bulling you pulled on us is not going to work and I will start a ruckus . So we did eventually get the $14.99 price but there was never a sincere apology . Mr.Cory disappeared within the store. I'm sorry but how this played out really ruined such a beautiful day with family. Longs has been a part of my family for decades and just one person a supervisor/a manager of a successful store acting like he owns the store and will not come to the side of a shopper asking for help? I'm ashamed at the fact how he must treat other people who shop their, I pray I don't catch him giving the elders or anyone with physical disabilities or mental health issues that ask for help, a demented attitude so help me god he will catch these hands!
Desired outcome: Suspension pending dismissal , removed from position
Store personnel
I just left your Aina Haina Longs Drug store and just wanted to let you know I felt like a criminal as your manager treated me as one and your cashier on the first register (she looked pregnant by the way...?) did not even greet me, did not say a word and glanced over to the manager as if to tell him to come check us out because she suspected we were criminals...!
I am the operations manager for a major shopping mall here on Oahu and just attended my grandson's baseball game at Hawaii Kai District Park so sorry that I was not dressed "properly" for your staff, but still not a reason to treat people because of how they are dressed...correct...?
If you feel you need more clarity, please call me on my cell [protected].
Thank You Very Much for your attention to this...
Michael Taniguchi / Operations Manager Windward Mall
Desired outcome: Please schedule your staff for customer value training...
