Rude and terrible customer service agent
Rude customer service agent, who got upset, impatient and worse raised her voice when I told her I wasn't able to see the APN settings she was mentioning. Instead of being polite and slowing down, this agent had the nerve to raise her voice at me. Absolutely disgraceful and disrespectful. This behaviour is absolutely not acceptable. When I pointed it out to her she said she had to raise her voice because of how her voice is. Ridiculous! And mind you I could her hear perfectly well right from the beginning, and never once did I ask her to speak louder. This customer service agent lacks even the most basic manners. Later I learned from a different agent that APN setting values provided by the previous rude agent were wrong, and the other agent then provided me the correct values. So not only was this agent disrespectful, but also incompetent.
This is just one of the poor experiences I've had. In the past, I've highlighted some data protection issues to them for storing my card details against my consent. They take forever to respond, writing to their customer service and complaints email is useless. When contacted by phone they say case is on high priority, which runs for weeks if not months. Absolute joke! It was only when I involved their DPO did I get some traction on my case. I've reached to their DPO seeking compensation for such terrible customer service, for storing my card on their systems against my consent, which caused me an awful lot of stress to have card data erased from their systems.
People who would like to be treated with decency should absolutely steer clear of Lycamobile. On top of that, their services are really poor, very, very slow internet. Stay away at all costs!
Desired outcome: I would like their customer service agents learn basic manners first and then train for customer service. I've also sought compensation for the terrible experiences I had with them.
