the company has changed my plan and didn't tell me
I changed my old company to Lycamobile. They offered different plans and subscriptions, so I have chosen the most suitable for me. Within first 3 days I didn’t get any services at all. After when the phone started to work, I couldn’t call to my friends in Brazil. I again contacted customer services and it turned out that my plan didn’t provide calls to Brazil. They have changed my plan and gave the most expensive one. Check everything what they give to you, because they can change payments and plans and don’t inform you about it.

Have also been using their minute and data bundles for more than 12 month. It rolls over month on month if I ensure balance for bundle cost (£15). Oct month, it was due on day light saving change night. And bundle did not activate. But I continued usage knowingly for almost a week. Lost £28 over a week and realized while trying to make a call and getting message low on balance. When I called customer service. They were like I should have ensured sms arrived that bundle was active. And that I continued data usage at midnight of rolling day. So I was charged for data usage. And my balance dropped below £15 needed for bundle activation. I could clearly sense it was technical glitch which did not handle such a scenario on their systems.

They are so arrogant. It is a company designed to rip you off and give you no service! No matter how much you explain, no matter how right you are, they will never correct their mistakes! You need a lawsuit to recover even a ten pound they rip you off.. they never reconcile!
I had got the following complaints:
1.lyca kept increasing my plan charge and reducing my internet allowance. By 68 per cent!
2. Increased the cost of my UK17 plan from to 25 pounds this month.
3.Last night was my renewal date, they kept sending me messages to keep my account balance sufficient.
therefore I had 25 pounds ready in my account at midnight on the 18th.
in the morning I wake up, they sent me a message that my plan could not be renewed due to insufficient balance! And I check my balance, there is only 15 pound left .AS I was sleeping and the phone was OFF! how did anyone take ten pounds from my account!
It looks like this is a set up for a rip-off!
They never gave me back my allowance. .
4. I was not able to use the internet properly to use my mobile facebook application for the past month, and I have sent several emails to your technical department and NO ACTION was taken, it was not resolved. I have proof of emails from your technical department.
I have used up the 10 pounds and purchased the only plan available with my balance to use it up so that next month I can cancel.

cheating by not discontinuing monthly plan despite several request for discontinue auto renewal of the monthly plan.
Despite several requests/mails for changing my Lycamobile numbers monthly plan option to prepaid plan, the have not acted (but always gave false promises to do within 24 hr, 48 hrs due to technical prob. and so on) till date. Even when asked to just disable the monthly auto renewal option for the unwanted monthly plan they are not acting on it. Every time after 1 hour wait on customer care number, they are telling lies and making false promises of doing it. but till now even the monthly auto renewal option is not discontinued. As evident in the attachment the next auto renewal is schedule to be on 08/10/15. If this happens then it will be a big fraudulent act on the part of Lycamobile Denmark, and I want your help to stop this. Please help me and stop this type of hard -earned-money syphoning from a customer by a mobile company.
I couldn't activate their sim card
I bought sim card from www.lycamobile.com. In order to activate it, I needed to enter the code, which was written on the box. I entered it several times, but it showed that the code was invalid. I already contacted the customer services and spoke with the rep 30 minutes, but she couldn’t help. Don’t buy their sim cards, because it is completely unnecessary thing with a lot of problems.

I requested Lycamobile customer care to port my number from my current service provide to Lycamobile and after porting activate my SIM so I can continue to use it.

I am following up with Lycamobile for last 4 months to get resolution.
I have used Lycamobile for 3 years already. This month I tried to pay my cell phone plane service on Lycamobile, it didn't work.
The error code: "Unfortunately your order QTU0001427026 was not successful."
So, I called them. They need the first 6 digits and last 4 digits of my credit card number and my photo ID to email to them. So, I did. After 3 days, they have no response. I called them again. It told me the same thing. I still have no cell phone service. It is so stupid.
Lycamobile is suck..i have buy a unlimited bundle from 15 pound and its for 1 month but after using 1 day the interget get so slow even it take 2 - 3 minutes to open the youtube homepage..but i have use internet by another company like vodafone e.t.c but i suggest that for internet service lyca is suck..and poor.
I made a payment for prepaid service online to topup an was sent confirmation number back stating instution clearly states itd been paid Now lycomobile stating they didnt recieved I must have called them over 10 times service is horrible. still no srvice this is crazy

Purchased Lyca Mobile SIM card with internet package at a store, was informed to pay 15 euros for 1GB internet, although it was clearly stated on the brochure that it would only be 7 euros. Vendor poorly explained the reason for this. However as my friends & I badly needed internet to find directions, I purchased it anyway. Was given a SIM, and two 5 euro top up cards.
Apparently internet needed activating, and was asked to dial a number, with instructions only in Italian. Dialled the number and nothing happened. Received a message which was all in Italian. Called customer service to make sure my 1GB was activated, as I had no 3G. Customer service was friendly, but kept talking over me. Explained that I needed my internet activated, and he walked me through setting it up on my phone. He even asked me to turn on data roaming, which I KNOW is not required for 3G. However he explained that it was required because Lyca Mobile reaps off the benefits of other networks.
Internet worked but later did not work that night, but after topping up another 5 euros and TURNING OFF data roaming, managed to work. Figured it was just a network problem. Next day, internet did not work again and called customer service. They said that I had been surfing the internet using my top up credit and NOT my 1GB internet bundle.
Explained that I had called the day before and was told that all was good with my internet. Service on the phone told me that I could only use the internet after I topped up ANOTHER 10 euros. At that point I had had enough and did not even bother topping up.
Will NEVER use this service again, even in desperate times. Totally unreliable, look for another better network, especially if local and more reliable.

Lycamobile Italy- the worst simcard and customer service
I purchased Lycamobile simcard 50 euro for a mobth from Rome Airport as I needed to use internet to find directions in Europe. It worked first day, but on the second day didnt work. I called customer service, they said they are nit able to find my details in their system. After many attempts they figured out my details was reolacex with soneone who purchased simcard at the same time at airport. I was asked to fill out a request application which was only in Italian. After using google translator and sending it back, I didnt receive any respond. I called customer service the day after to follow up my request. They said they cannot do anything for this case and I have to go to the airport and find the agent who Sold the somcard to me, which cost me around 50euro to go airport.
After few day without simcard and internet as a tourist I finally purchased another simcard from Vodafone with less price and more data and better customer service.
I dont recommend lycamobile at all and if was possible I wouldnt give any star to them as I believe they are fraud.
worst internet plan and worst customer service
Lyca offered an internet plan for 15 pounds unlimited and 500 minutes. I subscribed to the plan and in an hour i realised that the plan was not working and there was no network coverage. . I called customer services and they kept on asking me to wait for 24 hours and call them again. I used to call them back had to wait for 20 mins on their 322 number every time and was given a difference reference number however after waiting for 7 days they told me they cant do anything and neither they can refund me for the plan. They cheated and i believe the regulator should take strong action against this company

Omg pathetic wait time for customer service, lost my precious hours and still on hold to get to talk to an advisor for some technical difficulty, i really hope someone looks into this and do something about it, i hate lyca for this, otherwise the network and top ups are ok not that bad

Dispongo de una targeta prepago de Lycamobile y tenía un BONO MUNDO 120 cuyo precio son 5, - Euros ; se me terminaba el día 19-11-2014 a las 24h. para renovarlo debía tener saldo suficiente, para no esperar al último minuto realice una recarga on-line (que consta en mí cuenta lycamobile) el 18-11-2014, ( en ese momento disponía de un saldo de aprox. 2, 79 Euros ). Me han cortado la lines diciéndome que no dispongo de saldo suficiente, he reclamado 3 veces diciéndoles que pueden consultar mí cuenta y que en ella verán la recarga efectuada. No he recibido contestación alguna y sigo sin linea telefónica .

I am already a happy customer of LYCA. All my friends have LYCA. Since my wife travelling to the US, I planned to get a sim for her and ordered one on 15th of May 2014 thinking I would get it before 21st when she would be here. I had received a fedex tracking number on the next day I ordered for the sim. When I did not receive the SIM untill 22nd, I checked the fedex site with the tracking number and it said sending the package back to the shipper. I called fedex and they said the package was damaged and so they did not try to deliver it but sent it back to the shipper. Ever since until this date I have been trying to call LYCA and they made me a monster. Everytime I call, they say they will send a new sim but I have not received it. Once they said that feded tried to deliver it and when they couldnt fedex destroyed the sim. Now if they have tried to deliver it, the tracking details should say out for delivery, which it does not. Once they said the order has been placed for new sim and it will reach me with in 5 days. I wanted to get a tracking number for the new sim and everytime they give me the same old tracking number and they ask me to call fedex for no reason.I am totally fed up, me and my friends approached AT and T for porting. So bad is the LYCA customer service. Looks like they have two call centers, one in UK and another one in Philipines. I figured out, if we say they had promised something, they easily blame the other call center. But this doesnt help us (customers) in any way right. I felt bad I lost so much time beliving these people so I dint want to miss my $7 I spent for sim. LYCA said they do not refund. How can they keep my money, when a service was not provided. I called bank of america to enquire about them I figured out LYCA had an F rating. I was not the only person who had this complaint. People stop buying sims from them...They are cheap but they have a very cheap service too...

10 pounds stolen
I had the 10 pound UK plan activated on my lycamobile SIM card. At the time when it should have been renewed, I did not have enough money on my phone. I topped up one day later with 15 pounds and redialled the code that should activate the bundle again (*139*11044#). Immediately 10 pounds disappeared from my phone, but I did not get any new minutes that I could use, so I left with 5 pounds, which is becoming less with each call.
I called the customer service to ask what happened, but they were very rude and kept saying that I don't have enough money to re activate the bundle, and they denied that they took off (STOLE) 10 pounds from me the day before.
If you could suggest a mobile service that is reliable, let me know. Thank you.

overcharged on international roaming
I am Lycamobile customer
I have been to France on 1st week of June 2012.Before going to France I have enquired regarding international roaming charges and customer executive mentioned that it would be 1 pound and some pence per minute when you call to India from France.
I made a call to India on 3rd June for 6 minutes and sorry to say but I have overcharged for 19 pounds.
When I log a complain yesterday(ref no- 9696069), I got a response they cannot deal with any complain over than 1 months. When I request to raise with supervisor, customer executive come with new plan and mentioning the roaming change was 3.2 pounds in the month of June(which I am not believing)
Can I have a clear understanding on the issue.
LycaMobile has charged me for 4 months, but have cut off my service. This is because of a technical issue on their side, but they aren't ready to fix it!

I was accosted by a persistent woman who sold me a sim after promising that calls to anywhere in England Landline or mobile is 1p/min, and to a particular country abroad at 15p/min. When I first put the sim in my phone, I realised that the £5 I paid went in about 5 minutes! So I registered as advised to get and extra £2 credit from them. I noticed on the site that the call rates were different online. So I phoned the company twice on 322 (supposed to be free on their sim) to confirm the rate abroad. I was shocked when I was told that actually, on roaming, it would cost £2.40/ min. A day later I phoned and spoke to another helpline assistant in India again to c9nfirmn that his assistant had not made a mistake, considering their salesperson had said £0.15 or 15 pence/min and I thought £2.40 is incredible as I did not believe such a rate existed on this planet. Imagine my horror when he told me that it was actually £4.89 to make a call back home to England and that £2.40 was for a local call. So I asked him if he was taking the mickey and now I have advised Trading Standards about this to warn everybody around the world about www.lycamobile.co.uk. I have also done a search at the Registrar of Companies and found that there is a Lycamobile UK and a Lycamobile Sweden, both registered in England. This type of organisation with two names registered, always leave you with a foul taste in the mouth! This company is web-based only and could be operating from India or Sweden or England!
Got phone call from above number and stated that i have won 50000 pounds and call back on the same number to know more about it .This happenned twice within 05 minutes kindly can somebody look into it this fraud

I, Lakshmanan Durairajan, living in Norwich, using Lyca - and since yesterday, Aug 24, 2012 evening, I have no network coverage at all. I mailed them and I do not get a proper response. I did factory reset on my mobile, tried my SIM in another mobile and all went in vain. Is there anyone in Norwich facing this issue. Please help.

I am having a Lyca SIM card which I am mostly using for making International calls. They use to deduct extra charges for 3 international SMS. I have lost so much of credit because of this. When I contacted them, they took 2 months to answer me and now they are saying that they are not responsible for this. They are really a fraud.

I bought £20 top up card from GT mobile stand in leicester high street last week. I decided to top my phone today and i was told the voucher has been utilise. I wish to lodge complain about my charges during the time i was in paris on the 7th to 11th of may 2010. I feel so cheated about this. I called the customer service about the first over charging and he told me the amount will be refunded, all to get back to london today and i was told that charges for roaming is 2. 18pounds per minute, i cant believe this. This is not my first time of going on roaming the normal charges is always 37p to call and 17p receive. I cant in my wildest dream think that i will be paying 2. 18pound per minute within europe without the any proper information. Even, t - mobile and other network subscribe to. They are unable to active the service since 10 days
On March 25, 2023, I was charged 40.95 last week from Lycamobile! I’d never even HEARD of them UNTIL I saw the charge on my card!
