Dear Sir / Madam,
I would like to report an incident that took place at one of your shops. It happened in Mauritius more precisely at the Bagatelle Mall . We had purchased two items on the 24th December 2019 . While leaving the shop, the alarm went on as the salesgirl/ cashier failed to remove the tag, which I guess was a honest mistake. So the security took the bag from us and gave to the salesgirl to check and do the necessary. We were handed the bag back and while leaving again, off went the alarm for the second time . So, the security came again and asked me to hand over the bag back. So while waiting, I told my parents well, if anyone would see that, they would think we stole something and we laughed it off. The security got really upset and came at me, asking me to not say that as he was only doing his job. I was not commenting on his manner of conducting his job but he took offence and got aggressive and I told him I was only commenting on something and it was not your job it was the salesgirl job to ensure that the security tabs were removed . He came at me menancingly asking me to remove my words, and when my dad told him to stop he wanted to get violent. Another security had to hold him and he asked us to leave as if he was some owner or something.
I have visited your shops internationally many times, whether it was in UK or any other places as Mango is one of my favourite stops for shopping. But this incident has left a bitter taste . I did not appreciate how we were treated. I could list a huge list of items I bought at your shops whether in Mauritius or internationally. I do not claim that a customer is always right but I assert the right to be treated properly and with respect. I do not know what kind of resolution is given to customers like myself in that kind of situation but I do hope this is not the kind of people your shop will continue to employ.
